La Posada de Babel is a magnificent destination, with a lot of charm, surrounded by beautiful places and with a charming couple who will go out of their way to make your stay more than pleasant. For me it is the perfect place to get to know and be in eastern Asturias. Totally recommended

We stayed here for two nights earlier this month (September 2018), at the end of a walking holiday in the Picos de Europa. As it isn't in the mountains we thought we might be a little disappointed but it was fabulous. Blanca is a most welcoming hostess and Lucas cooks up an excellent dinner (no choice, but he checks beforehand that it will be OK with you). It is a very peaceful spot between the mountains and the sea, the buildings are modern and interesting (inside and out),the room was very comfortable, the bar is well stocked and the breakfasts were fabulous.||It takes under an hour to walk into the lovely coastal town of Llanes. Very cleverly, there is a riverside path from the very centre of town into the countryside, so no dull trek through the suburbs required. Llanes has a lovely harbour, a town centre beach, beautiful coastal walks east and west, and great views inland to the mountains. And lots of bars, cafes, delicatessens and exquisite cake shops!||North Spain is well known to be prone to unsettled weather, which means fabulous spots like the Posada de Babel remain havens of peace and quiet and offer great value for money. And of course the wet but warm climate and the proximity to the sea means great local produce forms the basis of your meals.

We booked the Garden Suite and found ourselves in a very private spacious room with sitting area and a private sunning garden. The grounds are very pleasant to walk around with lovely views of mountains . The main house has a large room full of books and sitting area and the dining room has lovely views. Very good breakfast and delicious dinner both nights! The owner gave us good directions to coastal trails with spectacular views of beaches and craggy rocks. A very lovely area and peaceful place to stay!

The hotel design is remarkable, with a wonderful library. We had a room with perfect garden view.The food served for breakfast was yummy, specially the different choices of cheese as well as the honey. All local and organic. Finally the staff is extremely helpful and kind. You can feel how delighted they are to make your stay a pleasant one. Next time we will try the dinner option.

I stayed at Posada de Babel for 2 nights with my boyfriend. Both of us enjoyed it a lot. It is very relaxing and we were welcomed with a smile. The atmosphere is something special. You can sense that the place is build with heart and shows the hosts interest for architecture and art. The Posada de Babel is honest and lovely. ||The breakfast is great. Local products. Variety of choices and beautiful. ||In the evening you can have dinner in the restaurant. Amazing food! ||If you want to know what to see in the area or other questions Blanca and Lucas are ready to help you. ||When the weather is nice you can enjoy the big green garden.||All in all. An absolutely lovely stay. I will come back for another vacation.

Would be easy to simply spend all of your stay in this hotel which feels more like a home. Beautiful modernist building with interesting artwork throughout. Lucas and Blanca were wonderful hosts and the 2 meals we had here were the best we had in Spain. Would happily return

A privately-run hotel in spacious grounds, attractively situated a short drive from Llanes. The owners are friendly and helpful, the bedrooms comfortable, and the restaurant very good. An ideal location for those who want a peaceful rural setting, but easy access to the coast.

We really enjoyed our experience of Posada de Babel. The setting is just beautiful and the place is very stylish. Breakfast was delicious and the staff were very welcoming. It’s short drive to Llanes and lots of beautiful beaches.
