Villa Serena is a truly beautiful and serene place. The location is secluded and peaceful, perfect for relaxing and disconnecting. You can really feel the attention to detail throughout the hotel. We absolutely loved the food — especially the ceviche, the fish croquettes, and the goat dish. Everything was fresh and beautifully prepared. The hotel has its own private beach, which is lovely, and there are also a couple of other beautiful beaches just a 5-minute walk away. A wonderful place for a calm, refined getaway. I will definitely be back.

We still dream of our perfect stay at Villa Serena! Where should we begin. My boyfriend and I were welcomed with great warmth and got settled into our beautiful room with the most wonderful view anyone could wish for! Apart from that, everyone in the hotel was very friendly and kind and made sure their guests feel at home. The yoga by Angelina (and her two furry companions) in the mornings was definitely a highlight! And the space where it was held feels too beautiful to be true:)) We hope to come back at some point and wish everyone one going there the same, unforgettable experience! Thank you!

I attended a 5 day yoga retreat with Sarah Shea Yoga at Villa Serena Dominican Republic. Villa Serena is the most ideal setting for a Yoga Retreat. As the name suggest the property is serene. The Yoga Shala is in the perfect setting – overlooking the ocean and surrounded by the lush vegetation this region of the Dominican Republic has to offer. The staff was super attentive and friendly. Our bartender Kellen was super sweet and helped improve my Spanish immensely. In addition to twice a day yoga classes, I was able to relax in their beautiful pool, enjoy some time in the hammock on my balcony listening to the ocean waves. . My room was extremely clean and large, and the bed was very comfortable – I had the best sleep. The massage therapist on site situated overlooking the white sand beaches and was one of the best massages I’ve had in my life. Angelina also organized some very fun excursions very near to the resort. Beautiful beaches, a horse riding excursion with hiking to another gorgeous beach, cave exploration, and a fresh coconut harvested from the tree. A 10 out of 10 experience. I definitely hope to attend another Yoga Retreat at this beautiful resort.

I am a yoga instructor who hosted a retreat here. I couldn't have asked for a better experience, especially seeing as this was my first time hosting a yoga event overseas from the U.S. We stayed for 5 days and 4 nights. My main contact was Angelina - she was an angel. She helped me every step of the way leading up to and during my retreat. She was extremely accommodating to my needs and gave great suggestions. ||Upon arrival, everything was perfect. It's truly even MORE beautiful than in the pictures! All of our rooms were lovely - I know some reviews talk about spotty wifi or "outdated" room decorations, but all of my guests and myself felt each room was comfortable and bright. The hammocks on each balcony are a huge plus - great to take a cat nap on if you are tired from the sun. Beds were comfortable, too, and all of our rooms had a ceiling fan and A/C.||All of the staff were once again super accommodating. Although there were some language barriers occasionally, they did all they could to address any of our concerns, including food modifications for dishes. The dinner menu changed each night which was a nice touch. Breakfast includes a buffet as well as items from the menu, so you can have hot coffee with some cereal and a small pastry while also enjoying a made to order omelette. ||Angelina helped us greatly with our excursions. We all went to Playa Rincon by boat - highly recommended! It's a wild, fun ride against the choppy waves, and it only takes 10-15 minutes to get there. Some of us also decided to horseback ride down to Playa Madama with a small walk on foot along the cliffside - this was an amazing excursion. Just ask Angelina about Karin's La Hacienda Hostel. ||Also recommend checking out La Playita. It's a little beach just a 10-minute walk from the hotel. It's beautiful and they have some great food - just go to the white tent to grab some shrimp, calamari, and freshly made french fries! You could make this an afternoon since it costs nothing to go there. Just bring a beach towel from reception as well as an umbrella (looks like a golf umbrella) since there are none to rent at this beach. ||Overall, I would recommend this place not only if you are a vacationer but also as a yoga instructor looking to book a venue. You could not ask for a place that embodies paradise - it's very private and serene with no crowds or loud music, you will have the beautiful outdoor yoga shala all to yourself, and you will make amazing memories with your guests. Villa Serena property is spectacular! Quiet, clean, serene natural beauty. Staff exceptional. Angelina accommodated every request and suggested excursions i really enjoyed. Yoga shala excellent. Pool was clean and inviting. Massage overlooking ocean phenomenal.

Truly a paradise! Beautiful scenery, room was spacious and clean, all employees are super friendly and helpful. My favorite was the hammock on the balcony. The shallah is awesome, can't have better yoga experience anywhere else. Thank you Sarah Shea Yoga for bringing us together there.

This was the best time I've had in a long time.|I went for a yoga retreat from july 16 to 20 with Sarah Shea, yoga instructor. She really picked a beautiful place. The weather was great and it felt like heaven.|I got the best service from the staff. Whenever I had a question Angelina, the manager, was extremely helpful.| The food was excellent and don't think I've eaten so much.|I would gladly go by again

This hotel is a true little paradise! I stayed on my own here for 4 nights and even extended for a bit. I had a room on the first floor with a great balcony with its own hammock and a spectacular view to the green garden and the ocean. Super clean and cozy room, super big too. Very quiet and idyllic garden and private beach. The breakfast is spectacular!!!|And the staff is helpful and friendly. I also felt super comfortable and safe staying there on my own. Would recommend to anyone!
