My friend and I went to the terrace on Monday night after the dinner rush ( 8:30 to 11:30 pm). The service was excruciatingly slow, and rude after all. First of all, we set down at the table and, after waiting for 10 minutes, had to flag the waitress to finally bring us the menu. Our drinks and desert were brought after half an hour of waiting. The restaurant was probably a third full. But I do understand why with a few five-people parties happening it might’ve taken them a while to mix up a drink and cut a cake. 🙄 However at the end, when we asked the passing by server for our bill, no bill was brought for another 15 minutes. After quite a wait (should it take 15 minutes to print the bill that the restaurant itself it interested in being covered and table cleaned out) I flagged another passing by server who was standing near the table 2 tables from us, and repeated that I’d like the bill please. After that the bill was brought promptly but the waiter didn’t hesitate to express his negativity by saying “You shouldn’t be yelling to me across the restaurant to bring the bill. I’m not even your server“, which was in my opinion quite rude! Neglecting to apologize to the waiting customers for slow service and telling them off for repeating what they’ve asked for after significant wait time shouldn’t be a practice at such an upscale restaurant. Needless to say, no tips were left for this establishment. They are lucky we didn’t just walk out without paying the bill first.
