Hotel Ylläshumina

If you dream of a cozy log cabin, endless ski trails, and the Northern Lights dancing above, Hotel Ylläshumina is pure magic. Warm saunas, top-notch food, and husky adventures, what more could you need? Maybe just one more reindeer sighting! Breakfast buffet is great!

I highly recommend Hotel YllasHumina, as they helped create one of the best travel experiences of my life. Everyone there was helpful, kind, and courteous, and I felt as though they truly cared about making my trip something special. Even when I was nervous about trying new activities, they went above and beyond to encourage me and make me feel comfortable. Furthermore, the accommodations were cozy and clean (I highly recommend getting a cottage with a private sauna), the activities were easy to arrange and beyond fun, and the location was easy to get to but still felt away from it all.

Such a lovely hotel to stay in. The older lady at reception was always willing to help us with booking activities, giving us advice etc. Our lodge had our own sauna and we were right next to the cross country skiing trails. And on one of the nights we stayed in we even managed to see the Northern lights outside our lodge. The buffet dinner is also decent value for Finland. We had a relaxing few days staying here and would recommend to others

Hotel Ylläshumina is a great place to spend a long weekend or even a week. The cross-country tracks start in the backyard and there is ski equipment rental and ski services on the spot, so you don’t have to walk anywhere if you want to get your ski waxed or take a lesson. The accommodation is super cozy and quiet and the buffet breakfast and dinner are amazing. The staff is always there to help and they go an extra mile to help you if they can. 100% recommend and definitely will be back.

We had an amazing time at this hotel! We had the chance to have a Suite (a bedroom, living room with cheminee, small kitchen without cooking plates, big bathroom with a shower and with a bath).|The stay was perfect, the buffets for the breakfast and the dinner were delicious! Every time there was some lappish specialties. The personal is also very friendly.|The bar was also great and the food and cocktails were delicious 😀.|Thanks for the amazing stay and we will definitely come back soon! 😁|We would recommend this place to anyone who likes quietness, you can go to Äkäslompolo directly on foot by the frozen lake (approx. 20mim on way).

I had a wonderful week in Humina. Cross country tracks start close by. Evening buffet is exceptional with a special Lappland Buffet on a Thursday. It is easy to get in contact with other guests. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Arctic pool only twice a week, but it is quite an experience (bring a woolen hat to the pool. Thanks for everything!

Lovely place to stay. Rooms are in cabins and are very cosy, spotlessly clean with TV, fridge, kettle and hairdryer. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The food was amazing with lots of choice on the buffets both breakfast and in the evening. The separate bistro and bar were also great offering alternative food options. Felt a very homely place to stay and would highly recommend it.

Our stay at ‘Humina was fabulous cosy cabin with everything we needed for a week of superb cross country skiing. The hired equipment was great. The food from the hotel kitchen was absolutely superb with a huge variety. Staff were great so helpful and friendly.||We would recommend this as an excellent place to stay and enjoy Finland.
