Hotel Z - A Staypineapple Hotel

I booked the standard king bedroom, it was small but you don’t feel it with the tall ceilings. I thought it was perfect and super cute. I love the amenities they have, such a cute touch. The service and the staff, super kind and helpful to our needs. They also accepted me right away, easiest check in. I came way too early in hope for some rest after my travel. Since they had extra room ready, no problem and no extra charge. I am so happy with my decision with choosing Hotel Z and I would definitely come back again. Thank you to the everything people.

Before coming to the hotel I made a couple of calls to the hotel and each time greeted friendly and all questions answered. Upon arrival the same great atmosphere making check in quick and easy and each time we came and went the staff spoke to us Having beverages and cookies were a nice touch. The room was a good size and very clean, we had plenty of room to hang our clothes and the bathroom was a nice size as well and the full length mirror was a nice to have. The comfort of the bed was a 10 out of 10. The pineapple theme was cute but my favorite was the pictures of different areas around San Diego on the outside of each room door. The location was excellent for dining, shopping , sightseeing again a 10 out of 10 for location. The Check out was also quick. | If I had any request it would have been for brighter lighting in the bathroom. I would stay here again and recommend to friends.

Alan was great with my stay. Very friendly and helpful. I also noticed he was the same with everyone else while I was waiting for my ride in the lobby. Great rooms, service and clean rooms. The decor is on brand and somehow very pleasant to be around. I felt happy as I took a flight home. Thanks!

A Perfect Stay at Hotel Z! —Our recent stay at Hotel Z in San Diego was absolutely fantastic, and we can't recommend it enough. From the moment we arrived, Cynthia and Jan went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, providing some of the best customer service we've ever experienced. Their warmth and attentiveness truly set the tone for a wonderful visit. Our room was super clean and incredibly comfortable, a true haven after days of exploring. And speaking of exploring, the hotel's unbeatable location made everything so easy. We loved being able to walk to all the fun attractions, fantastic restaurants, and lively bars San Diego has to offer. We had an incredible time and can't wait to be back at Hotel Z on our next trip to San Diego!

We were greeted immediately when we entered the hotel. Everyone was so friendly! We arrived earlier than expected and were able to do an early check-in. The room we booked had a king size bed and was spacious enough for my daughter and me. The room was very clean. We stayed for two nights. The location of the hotel is walking distance to all the restaurants, bars, etc. I would definitely stay here again. (I also very much appreciated the water bar!)

I can't believe it took me this long to discover Staypineapple, but I'm so glad I did! My stay at the San Diego location was absolutely fabulous. The hotel's location in the Gaslamp Quarter is a dream—everything you need is within walking distance, from amazing restaurants and vibrant nightlife to other city attractions. The staff truly made the experience exceptional; they were always so kind and happy to help. My room was a perfect blend of comfort and convenience. It was clean, spacious, and had all the essentials, including a coffee maker and extra outlets, which was a huge plus. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the bathroom was spotless. I also appreciate the hotel's commitment to sustainability without sacrificing guest comfort. The free welcome drink and bike rentals were the cherry on top. This is my new go-to hotel brand, and I highly recommend it!

Reception staff could not be any more accommodating. Friendly, courteous and professional. Thanks to Cynthia. Love Peddington the statue dog in the foyer. Thanks for the pineapple water bottles. Location is central to the Bay, Balboa Park and downtown region. Supermarket Ralphs which was about 3 blocks from the hotel. There is No international visitor centre - it closed down a few years ago, thanks to a very helpful man.

Located in the gaslight district and close for walking to either San Diego Convention Center and Perco Park, this hotel was adorable in theme design and comfortable in room setup. It lacks a gym and a pool, if that is what you need. However, since I was busy at a conference, I did not care. Plus the attention to detail and customer focus with considerations such as free water in the room and additional gratis drink options put this as my top choice. Plus they are pet friendly, so plan to take my pup next trip.
