Hotel Zebra

We only had lunch in the restaurant, but it was so delicious, we had to visit it the day after as well.

We had some troubles with the parking at first, but the manager/ owner of the place personally called us and wanted to know what was the problem and how can he help. He resolved the issue and compensated us for the inconvenience, which is the perfect attitude, if you want to have new, long-term customers and people recommend you to their friends. Pros: The food is extremely fresh and tasty - the cucumbers in particular were so sweet, like you have just picked them from the garden. Breakfast is excellent - you get to choose from different options on a block table and everything that we have chosen and tried was worth it. Rooms are spacious and very clean. Pool and pool area are also very clean. Staff is amazingly polite and friendly. The view from the rooftop is breathtaking. Cons: The elevator is a bit slow. The underground parking alley is a bit tight, so if you have a big car, it makes it really hard to get in and out. They also have an outdoor paid parking, which compensates.

Very good location and the staff was so cooperative. Our room was big and cleaned every day. The view of the sea is amazing. The swimming pool is clean and the lifeguard was available all the time and watching the swimming kids for their safety.

Very good location, clean and ordered, delicious food and lovely and friendly staff. I loved having the sea all around and visible from my balcony. It is a great place as we were able to go to the Turkish border, and there are some hiking places and wild beaches, great mountain bike paths. I definitely recommend it.

Spacious rooms. Not so bad location if you are going with car to some beach. Very kind receptionists. Have free parking. Strange decision to pass via the restaurant to go to the pool! Pool guard is missing most of the time!

Ok, the good points - the hotel is very clean, quiet and spacious. The air con is quiet and efficient, rooms are super clean and breakfast is basic but interesting. The hotel is only a few minutes walk from a beach in either direction and the main restaurant/ shopping street is just behind the pool area. Pool is nice too. The not so good - most of the staff are at best 'detached' and in the case of the older man who does the over-night shift down right rude. The exception to this is the young man with the long ponytail. He is the only member of staff who seems to want to be helpful. English isn't well understood which wouldn't be a problem is staff were a bit more willing to at least try to understand what it is that is being asked. Minor maintenance jobs have been let slip, tvs are antiques. Tsarevo is a small and very quiet resort with minimal public transport links beyond the regular bus that goes along the coast to some of the other beaches. Great if all you want is to stay on a sun lounger but if you want to get out and about it is about a 25 minute walk to the local bus station. There is a bus every one or two hours to Bourgas which take about an 1hr and 15 minutes but it is only a mini bus and books up fast. Best to book to come back too or you might not get a seat, which leads me to Tui. The rep simply doesn't come to this hotel. The staff hadn't seen him for over a month. The coaches can't get in so I don't know how you would access their trips and we had to send email after email to try and get our pick-up details. Really Tui were a liability and it would have been better to arrange independently.

The location is perfect. The hotel is big. There is rooftop terrace with very nice view. Rooms are spacious, but not very cosy and clean. The bathroom needed renovation.

If you want nightlife, partying and discos Tsarevo is not for you. If you want quiet clean small town with friendly locals close to beach and beautiful parks, restaurants with great meals that are cheap, then this is your place. You won't find your full English here only good wholesome fresh cooked traditional Bulgarian fare.|We stayed in the Zebra hotel, a small family run hotel with just 38 rooms. This hotel is the cleanest I have ever stayed in.|Reception staff ( brother & sister ) speak English and are extremely friendly and helpful, as are the housekeepers and other staff. Breakfast is continental and the small restaurant very clean. Unfortunately the hotel does not do lunch or dinner but their ate ample restaurants just 5 minutes walk in the centre of town and by the harbour. I could go on extolling the virtues of this small town and the Zebra hotel.|I would definitely recommend to anybody seeking a quiet holiday in beautiful surroundings. We will definitely be back.
