Hotel Zentral Parque

If you like the 70s this is your place to be. Friendly people in the hotel all helpful.

A 7 minute walk from the railway station Once again the staff were very friendly and helpful [the only bad staff were in London]. The girls working the bar /caffe were friendly and helpful. The corridors leading to your room were a bit dark not enough light. The room was clean and tidy perfect for our two nights there. bed was comfutable.

The hotel was built in the early 80s but it has been updated. It is close to the bus and train stations. Rooms are nicely renovated and very quiet so guests can sleep and rest. The hotel has a small fitness center and restaurant. Staff is very kind and attentive. Finally, the rooms and hotel installations are sparkling clean.

Many things wrong with the Hotel Zentral Parque. Here are the top 3. First, it is 32°C outside and 30°C in our room. There is no AC. The room is not comfortable. Next, there are dispensers of foam soap for the bathroom sink and shower. No small containers of shampoo or bar soap. The foam soap dispensers are useless. Also, while the breakfast is adequate, the coffee is the poorest of any other hotel we stayed during the past 80 days in Europe. The breakfast is not free, unless included in your room rate. Do yourself a favor, spend the night somewhere else.

Located within walking distance of the city centre, but I would not return to this hotel. Adequate if staying overnight only, but for longer periods very basic, apart from the bar, no additional amenities. The staff are friendly and welcoming, rooms quiet basic but double glazed windows keeps the traffic noise down. Buffet breakfast very basic.

The first day was good. The receptionist (Andrea) was welcoming and polite. The second day I was taken aback by her lack of courtesy. She must have been having a bad day. She suddenly lashed at me because I handed over a €500.00 bill. I was going to offer my credit card until she said I should go to the bank to exchange the bill! She kept throwing words and there was no end to her speech. I tried to calm her down by saying sorry but that didn't work. She kept letting out steam. Finally, she opened the safe and said I'd left the hotel without any change. WOW! I didn't know what to say. Then she slapped the bill on the counter and let me go. After all, I was still going to say thank you but she just ignored my presence and served the next guest. This kind of boorish attitude is so unbecoming to a receptionist. I was there with my family and the experience left a bitter taste in my mouth. I'm so disappointed.
