I stayed at hotel Zephyr for business. I’m so thrilled that I stayed here instead of closer to the office in the union Square area. My evening felt like vacation, the area itself was safe and relatively quiet. I felt very comfortable walking around in the evenings after dark, being a single woman. I will definitely be staying here again for my next trip. Being in San Francisco, of course there is some amount of noise in the evenings until around 10 PM, especially because this hotel is close to Pier 39. But it was never excessive, and I always fell asleep quite easily. The hotel is not state of the art updated or extremely fancy, but I actually liked it that way. It made me feel like I was really on a beach vacation. It was clean, and the attendance who kept the room tidy were absolutely wonderful. I had a small refrigerator that accommodated everything I needed for the week. The bed was pretty comfortable, and the showers were warm/hot without ever scalding. I believe there is a scald guard on them.

Lovely hotel! Such a great experience for our family! 2 block walking distance to Pier 39. The activities that the hotel offers in the courtyard are a great experience for families! Our daughter loved all of the games, the fire pits & that she could roast marshmallows. We enjoyed our stay and will be visiting again soon! Highly recommend!

Google
I would categorize this hotel as "ok" or slightly above but primarily due to the common area. The rooms were average and looked like a renovation on top of some old features. However, the outdoor courtyard was very cool and fun and we enjoyed hanging out there and exploring the games while grabbing a drink at the attached restaurant after a long day exploring San Francisco. I would recommend this hotel for a night or 2 if you wanted something nice but not necessary luxury. Parking was expensive and there were cheaper garages nearby but not convenient to drag your luggage down the block so we just paid for it. Overall, recommend for hotel in between budget and luxury.

From the moment we arrived, our experience at Zephyr Hotel was nothing short of amazing. The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making check-in smooth and hassle-free. Our room was spotless, beautifully designed, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay – including a game room! What truly stood out was the personalized service. The team went above and beyond to make us feel at home, offering great local recommendations and ensuring every need was met with a smile. We left feeling refreshed, relaxed, and already planning our next visit. Highly recommend Zephyr hotel to anyone looking for a memorable family vacation.

I was debating whether to come back, my first stay the room smelt like mildew. This time it was perfect. My daughter 4 yr old had a blast and said she wants to live here until Christmas 🤦‍♀️ Amazing customer service, fun activities for all ages, and if you like the pier, i can toss a hair tie onto pier 39 from my room. Beautiful, we will be back .

My family of 5 had an amazing experience at the Hotel Zephyr. It is within walking distance of everything you want to see in San Francisco. The front desk staff was friendly and extremely helpful with all of our needs (late check-out and parking). The rooms were clean and spacious. The courtyard and lobby with game room, gave us plenty of room to spread out and relax. I would absolutely recommend to anyone visiting the San Francisco area.

I have visited San Francisco a couple of times the last couple of months and brought my son with me this time for vacation. We truly enjoyed staying at Hotel Zephyr. The nautical theme/decorations make it a fun, lively place to stay and it also has activities that make it enjoyable for patrons of all ages. We enjoyed the game room and the courtyard with free s'mores kit was also very nice. Every employee we interacted with was friendly and accommodating. Upon checkout we met Prince and he was the icing on the cake. He called my son "king", which he got a kick out of it made him feel special. Even though we were leaving, which he knew, we appreciate being made to feel welcome up until the moment we walked out of the doors. In addition, the proximity to Fisherman's Wharf is definitely an added benefit. The only critiques, although minimal is that I would have liked to have had a vending machine on the premises (although there is a 7-11 literally right around the corner) and I would have preferred a laundry room on the premises so I could wash some of my clothing, as needed. The early check in fee was disappointing, I have never had to pay this before when checking in to a room early, but my son and I were tired and didnt want to walk around for hours until the "official" check in time. I would think if the room is ready (and it was) why is it necessary to charge by the hour for early check in? Other than that, we truly enjoyed our experience and would definitely return!

We just stayed there for our second time! We are definitely coming back! We love this hotel. My son loves all the games. It’s so close walking distance to everything! Already planning our next trip in a few months! I especially love how they use recycled materials to decorate the hotel.

Yelp
What a great place to stay! Every time we go to San Francisco we stay here. They give you s'mores kits for the evening fires out back. They have a pool table and shuffle board for your entertainment! They even have discounts for some nearby great restaurants! Plus it's walking distance to the pier! Enjoy your stay here!

Yelp
This is an old hotel that needs some serious updates. The electric plugs barely held on to the charger for my devices. The hotel is in a great location, in the middle of the Fisherman's Wharf area, but just not worth the money they charge per night. BE AWARE THAT THE PARKING AT $64 PER NIGHT IS NOT INCLUDED IN YOUR HOTEL ROOM CHARGE!!! The hotel customer service was very lacking, although they did bring up extra blankets when I asked. They just weren't overly friendly and seemed to not understand the questions we asked; the answers didn't have much to do with what we asked. I would not stay here again.

Yelp
I proposed to my girlfriend at HalfMood Bay Wednesday. The plan was to stay two nights and then head to SF to celebrate and stay at this hotel. We were expecting a "premium room" the I reserved with a bay view and balcony. We try and make a trip out to SF once or twice a year. This was our first time this year and we wanted to celebrate our engagement with this trip. Gosh this was not the experience stay I was expecting at ALL. Sure the lobby and the hang out section is cool and all. But I didn't pay for that experience. The room was not at all what we expected, for it to be a premium and the most expensive room. This place was a motel revamped into a hotel. The room layout, the thin walls just made our stay really difficult. The view was nice from out balcony, but even our balcony area was horrible. Not worth the price at all. Way to expensive for the size of a "premium room" we paid for. I'm 5,5 and I could barely fit in the bathroom. One of the staff lady's at check in made it seem as if you were bothering her when you asked a question. What's really disappointing, I've always wanted to stay at this hotel, disappointed with the room quality. I hope this place can be hosted about the quality and possible lower the prices. If get it's right down stairs from the fisherman's. But there's other hotels around the corner that are $300 cheaper. Or at least lower the prices of the parking fee.

Yelp
Where to start? The hotel experience was one of the worst in my entire life. I dropped my car off at the hotel for it to be parked by the valet service. They charged me almost 250 for parking for 3 days. The best part was when I got my car back they hit the bumper against a wall. So basically I paid money for my car to be damaged. I would have had better luck parking it on the streets of San Francisco. I'd like to personally thank Cesar Sedano, Kimberly Timms, and Vijay Mathiyalagan for not helping at all. At minimum, they could have offered to pay my insurance deductible of 500$ that I had to pay out of pocket. Lesson learned don't valet your car at Hotel Zephyr. They will not take liability and you will leave with damage to your car. Don't recommend!! Hope this helps!

Yelp
We stayed here overnight and it was a blast. The location is perfect, the room is clean, there are lots of things to do in their common area. I love how unique the atmosphere is. We walked outside the hotel at around 10pm, and it was safe. There is a convenience store nearby too. I look forward to staying there again. Parking is a bit expensive ($65) but it's San Francisco parking difficult.

Yelp
Hiddem gem of a hotel in SF. Conveniently located right beside the Fisherman's Wharf with its own paid parking structure which we highly recommend using even if its pricey. We originally booked for 2 nights and 3 days last fall. We arrived here around 8pm on a Saturday evening. The check-in process was straightforward. Our room was roomier than we initially thought. We also got a connecting room for our family which made our living space feel even bigger. Our two beds in our room were only full so they were a little small. The rooms had nautical themed decor which was very fun. Our room even had a fun magnetic dartboard. We love that our window faced the parking structure so we could see our car right there. The hotel itself is very eclectic with various fun art pieces and a variety of games and fire pits for you to wind down and enjoy. They offer complimentary s'mores for hotel guests. Overall stay here was good. We love how it's a 2 minute walk to the Fisherman's Wharf and a 5 minute walk to Pier 39. Super convenient. It's not a cheap stay but it's a great location. We also love that its pet friendly!

Yelp
Becca and Lisa at the front desk made my stay wonderful. I made a mistake with my reservation on a second room and not only did Becca fix my mistake, she was able to move my additional guests right next to our room without me even asking. Lisa was always helpful and very nice when I talked to her. She even gave my kids some extra s'mores. The rooms are great, the back patio is even better (best fire pits in the city!!!) and I like the 24 hour game room. I would strongly recommend this four star hotel, especially given the location right next to pier 39 and lots of food choices and convenient stores in walking distance.

Yelp
The pricing for how close it is to fisherman's wharf is amazing. What you save on your nightly rate will go straight to the amount you spend on their private parking though. Then again, parking in this area, in general, is very expensive! BUTTT, the good thing with this hotel is that their private parking is at least safer than parking on the street or at one of the lots that are available blocks away. Hotel Zephyr is pretty great for its price range; and this review is based on that mainly. If they started charging a higher rate, this review would be two stars instead. I say this because it's not a huge hotel hotel and so I would think that they would take better care of each individual room. It's four stories tall and offers a lot of great amenities, such as a game room, bonfires, and an attached bar out in the courtyard. Their rooms are on the smaller side, but still very reasonable. The main issue I have is with the lack of cleanliness and amount of water damage and gunk I saw around the bathroom and just the nooks and crannies of the room itself. If you don't look too hard or care that much; it's wonderful. It's just a bit disappointing because they have a lot of potential to be better. A small update/reno to the bathrooms would do them justice. Oh, and before I forget.. the employees here are great, and I had no complaints about them. Very accommodating: which is always a plus! I know I've emphasized this before, but I would definitely stay here again mainly because of the price and the distance from everything. They offer a lot of great deals on Groupon and perks sites; so make sure to also check those before booking.

Yelp
Overall, the Hotel Zephyr is a good place to stay when you're visiting SF. Pros: The hotel is walking distance to the Fisherman's Wharf, the Pier, the Aquarium, many restaurants and even the exploratorium if you don't mind a 15 to 20 minute walk. It has a huge game room indoors and outdoors with ping pong, pool, shuffle board, foozeball, connect four and more. They give you the makings for s'mores to roast outside from 4-10pm. They offer early check-in and late check out for a fee. The room was cute and there was a nice view. They did have a coffee maker, fridge, safe and working AC. Cons: It's pretty pricey- around $350 a night for a king room. And the room is pretty small. The walls were thin, so you could hear anyone in the hallway. The morning we were getting ready to leave and at 10:00 AM, the staff just entered our room with no warning to clean (wtf) lol. I wish the mattress had a topper or something- it was kinda hard. Also, the parking is $65 a night (not valet) and uncovered.

Yelp
Cleanliness. (Lacking) Shower: see image. AC: it should work. Don't send staff to "fix" it and not fix it. Then lie about it. Notice all the positive reviews. They seem staged. They replied, stating that they will remedy the situation. It isn't in goodfaith, the brand represents a scam. Everyone I talked to, same issues. It's systemic, it's on management. Don't lie. Who was the response from, Jackie A or Joyce Yun.?

Yelp
5/5 stars for convenience, amenities, and staff. I enjoyed my recent stay at Hotel Zephyr, which the total for 2 nights cost around $700-$800. Location: Walking distance from tourist attractions like Pier 39 and Ghirardelli Square. We felt pretty safe walking around once it got dark (around 7-8pm), but we didn't venture out past that. Staff: The hotel has a very modern and laidback vibe and the staff even wears casual clothes (hoodies and t-shirts). We had a good experience checking in and they let us store our luggages for a few hours after we checked out. Lobby and courtyard: plenty of seating inside the lobby to wait or do your work. There is a game room downstairs with ping pong, a photo booth, shuffle board, pool, and chess. We loved spending time here. Outside in the courtyard there are more games and fire pits where you can roast your marshmallows from your complimentary s'mores packet that you can redeem at the front desk. The courtyard is connected to a restaurant and bar. Room: Each room had a dart board on the wall, which we thought was really fun. The king sized bed was very comfortable but the 4 pillows were really uncomfortable. They're so large and puffy that it strains the neck. The room came with basic amenities like soap, shampoo, lotion, hair dryer. Overall we had a really nice stay here.

Yelp
Last night I was visiting a friend from Australia. We had drinks we went back to the hotel. We were hanging out we went to go for a smoke outside. A couple minutes later, my girlfriend that was sitting in the lobby, waiting for Uber to go home was attacked by the employee in the picture, he was videotaping her and pushing her. She immediately called me. I came back. waiting for my girlfriend, was no longer in front of the building. This employee rushed up on me like a football player while videotaping me. When I went to defend myself, he push me called me multiple names and wound up calling the police. The man in the picture assaulted two women. There is a witness that will be in the police report. I would like to hear back from management how they're going to solve this anyone that is getting a 401(k) insurance, union right and all good stuff should not allowed to be threatening or physically abusive to anyone. Unfortunately, yelp won't allow me to upload the video, but I have one if anyone would like to see it. I've been in the hospitality industry, my whole life never once have I been assaulted from an employee while standing outside on the sidewalk . Along with the police report, I will be making a formal complaint on the Better Business Bureau and in writing to the company.

Yelp
Called to ask if it was best to book directly through them or the 3rd party site that was advertising for less, was told to make a reservation on their website and they would price match. Arrived less than 24hrs later with my reservation and they wouldn't price match or cancel my reservation without charging in full. When checking in there were multiple people upset with the same issue. Room was dated, pictures online are old. Small. Bathroom had mold on the wallpaper and a dusty air vent (see pics.) Carpet was stained and dirty. Not sure I would call this a "resort" worthy of charging a resort fee lol. Didn't have a smart TV in the room. Complimentary coffee in the lobby wasn't working. Unhoused people all around the building, parking lot didn't feel secure or safe. Walking alone is questionable at night. When they tried to charge an additional $65+tax for parking per day I got online and saw them advertising their lot on SpotHero.com for $25. Felt like a scammy experience. TBH, I wish I would have stayed at CitizenM down the street! I tried emailing management about the discrepancy in price matching that was offered but they didn't help. Hopefully internal conversation clears up the confusion that's happening to give a better customer experience.

Yelp
This place was easy to book! My spouse booked for a staycation through Groupon! Kewl marketing tactic! I don't think he saved $$ booking there, he just had extra Groupon credits to spend. The place is right across from Pier 39! Awesomeness for touring and seeing the area! Lots of places to eat nearby and a few convenience stores too! The main area had a "hostel" vibe with games and an outdoor fire pit. It was pleasant and fun! The room was sm-medium sized with a small tub... but the towels were ripped and busted.... Weird for $200/night. Also some painting mishaps and missing cups to use for drinks, but they have some downstairs, we worked it out. The other amenities were great: fridge, Tv, HVAC, phone chargers, lamps, etc... The king sized bed was comfortable and clean. The pillows were uncomfortable for us. Down pillows don't give any support, but if you like that, you'll be okay here. Parking is expensive ($52/day), so beware.... No Free Parking! We just took Uber there n back and saved $$.

Steve D.

Yelp
Despite the great location, the property is cramped, unkempt, and insufficiently staffed. Our king bed was very uncomfortable. We will not return. On an upnote, the Bell staff is very gracious and hard working.
google avatar

Natalie F.

Yelp
Pros: This hotel is a hop skip and a jump away from Fisherman's Wharf. Very convenient location and a lot of main attractions are walkable. They have indoor games such a ping pong, foosball, chess and checkers. Cons: The walls are paper thin. We could hear the floor above us stomping around all night and early in the morning. We could hear a baby crying into the early morning. The rooms were hot! Despite us setting the temp at 65, the air did not cool down and the temp was uncomfortable and made the rooms stuffy.
google avatar

Shlomi K.

Yelp
Good location but not much else. I posted a review on TripAdvisor and management commented that they will "use my feedback as a learning tool" haha. They didn't even ask which room I was staying in. The room was shameful. It didn't look more than a lousy motel. I assume they have some nicer rooms (maybe the one they took their marketing pictures in?!) but the one we got was old, ripped, torn and lousy. Very loud A/C sounded like it's trying to take off at night. What seems like mold in the shower, as well as very dirty grout.
google avatar

Kaelin A.

Yelp
I had a great stay at this hotel! The rooms were clean, although they had a bit of a weird smell. But other than that, I thought the room was spacious enough for two people! I thought the hotel itself was very unique. Not only was its theme captivating, but they also had a game room! I spent most of my nights at the game room playing pool, jenga, ping pong and cards. They have a cute outdoor area to hang out and roast their complimentary smores. The outside area also brings you to a bar and their Zephyr Walk! It's such a convenient location and I was able to walk to the Pier and to Ghirardelli! Overall a great stay!

Yelp
BEWARE: This is the second time I scheduled staying at this hotel, the first time was great. This time, our travel agent called the hotel to try to cancel our one night stay because two of us have Covid. The hotel refused to cancel and told our agent that as long as we are able to check in, with or without Covid, they will not allow the cancellation. The agent mentioned how many other guests this would be putting in jeopardy and they did not care. Disappointed in lack of service, and sorry to all who may be affected - staff and guests because we have to now come anyway.

Yelp
I booked this hotel room for 4th of July weekend with my family, not knowing what the to expect from a boutique-like venue. To my surprise, hotel Zephyr turned out to be a great place for families. The hotel is located at an ideal location: right across from Pier 39!!!! If you book here, make sure that you choose a room with a balcony. Well worth it. You'll have a great view of the wharf or inside atrium. Either way, you'll be fine. This venue offers plenty of activities for teens to enjoy. Shuffle board, pool table and ping pong table are just a few of the many activities they offer. Upon checking in, you'll receive vouchers to later claim s'mores for roasting over three pits located in the middle of the venue. My family and I had a great experience at this venue. I would highly recommend it.

Maddie D.

Yelp
The hotel was in the heart of The Wharf, great for first-time visitors to the area. The amenities and common places were impossible to ignore. The desk gave out free s'mores to roast in their many fire pits at night, while the Ferris wheel overlooks the area, which was my favorite part.

Yelp
We had a great experience. The staff was courteous. The room was clean and great Ocean view. Fairly reasonable pricing. Loved being so close to the Warf and all kinds of food places. Thanks for the Experience Hotel Zephyr.

Yelp
Scammmmmmmmm beware.. There signs all say 20$ parking ...all the signs in the parking say pay in lobby before retuning to your car. So what do I do go to the lobby to pay for my parking. The lady at the front desk states all parking must be paid at a kiosk machine out side. I scan my ticket and the machine ends up charging me 60$.. I tell the lady at the front desk and she states that there 2 different companies I would have to dispute it with the valet .. even tho my receipt says "hotel zephyr" I spoke to the manager on duty states he would refund my money .. pshhhhh been a few weeks now .. nothing bunch of crap .. definitely a scam to trick people for thier money.

Yelp
This hotel is a very family friendly establishment. Im giving this place 5 stars for the friendly service, the location is perfect it's right next to pier 39; the restaurant; and loved the 3 firepits outside with games in an outside. I booked my hotel on Groupon it saved me about $20 and saved me on parking about $20. The room was about $145 plus the parking was $54. Now, this is not a luxury hotel but it is definitely family friendly they even have a smores night and they provide the supplies. What I love the most the snacks were sealed and the outside games are distanced so you don't feel like your on top of one another. The rooms are small but all you need. looking forward to staying again.

Farzin K.

Yelp
This place is terrible. Had the worse experience while staying for new years. The valet parking was not mentioned while booking and they charge $180 for 2 nights. I asked for a bottle of water from the front desk to take my pill, the rude manager refused to give it to me even when I offered money to buy it. The fan in the bathroom was not working. The did not clean our room. The heater did not work, we have told to front desk and they did not do anything about it. This place is disgusting!! They only care about your money, terrible customer service.

Yelp
My stay here was fantastic! Located in Fisherman's Wharf, the location was extremely convenient for all the activities we did while in SF. Catching the cable cars to union square was an easy walk and public transportation was not hard to catch. There are many dining options within walking distance of this hotel. The hotel has plenty of options for entertainment within the lobby. The decor of the hotel is fitting for the area the hotel is located in. The staff were great and helpful and I had no issues while staying here for four days. The beds were comfortable and slept well and room service came daily. Prices were expensive but nothing in SF is cheap. I would stay better again if I were to come back. I enjoyed being by the Pier and water and have access to tours, food, and transportation.

Yelp
We stayed here a few weeks ago for a Saturday Night, we saw some mixed reviews but the place looked really cool so we decided to try it out. Prices were reasonable, and the location is AMAZING. Your within walking distant to Pier 39 and Fisherman's Wharf. The decor is different on the inside, in a good way. They have a real nice outside area that has multiple fire places with seating, lots of games like Ping Pong or Connect four (the connect four is lifesize lol). Super chill area during the day and even better at night. The game room inside is also full of board games and another ping pong table, plus a pool table. We got complimentary kits from the front desk to make s'mores at night, which was cool to do with the kids. They don't have a bar in the hotel but if you walk across the outside area there's a restaurant with a door from your side. We didn't try the food but we had some drinks and got to enjoy them outside. The rooms are a good size and we were even able to see the island of Alcatraz from our room. Decor is all San Francisco on the inside. You do have to pay for overnight parking, but it's Frisco so it's going to be pricey anywhere you park. Parking is secured so I didn't have to worry about my car which was a good thing. All in all I definitely recommend this hotel, I know we'll be back for sure.

Yelp
Came into San Francisco for a Queen concert. Stayed at this hotel for one night. Hotel was completely amazing! Room was clean and very nice. Hotel itself was very clean. The staff at the hotel we're very friendly. Parking was secure and they offered valet. Right next-door Was an IHOP and the food was very good there. Transportation to and from the concert was reasonable. Within walking distance of fisherman's wharf. This is the second time I've stayed here and I will be back.

Andrea S.

Yelp
I have had the pleasure of staying at this establishment on four separate occasions, and each time I have experienced exceptional service and accommodations. However, my most recent visit was not as satisfactory. Specifically, I was dismayed by the high cost of parking and the small size of the rooms. (Only stayed in one king bedrooms before ) Despite these issues, I have consistently chosen to return to this hotel due to its child-friendly environment and lack of previous unpleasant experiences. Unfortunately, during my most recent checkout process, I discovered dried blood on the bedding where my children had been sleeping

Yelp
Really nice Hotel and what a great location, in the heart of Fisherman Warf ! Very clean and quite for such a busy areas. The staff is so nice especially the lady who was the Concierge. This place is set up for family's, Young couples and really all. You need a key to get to the area where your room is, an added safety feature!

Allison Y.

Yelp
What a gem! The location is amazing, right across Pier 39, you really can't beat it! There is a CVS or 7-11 next door if you need anything! The staff was great for us. Friendly, helpful and friendly. They give you 2 bottles of water & a s'more coupon for 1 time treat! You can't beat it! They have filtered water throughout the hotel so you can just refill your bottle! Go green for sure! The lobby is eclectic and charming. There is a game room and the outdoor fire pits are nice along with games outside! Great for families or groups! You really can't beat it! The rooms were clean and they use C.O. Big low products which is nice. I would totally recommend this hotel! SYOY!!!

Casandra D.

Yelp
Awesome hotel with perfect access to the pier and shopping. Great for kids too as there is a game room and outdoor area with fire pits. Friendly hotel staff who held our bags until checkin would absolutely stay there again!

Yelp
Construction was being done 5 feet from our room. We take a vacation maybe once every 5-7 years so when we spend $400 a night for a room (when I have hundreds of free nights at Marriotts, die to my work) I expect to get $400 a night of quality. No one mentioned construction and as a couple who sleeps during the day and adventures at night this was 100% unacceptable! The last day of our stay they offered a new room at 2pm.... Thanks I guess, damage is already done. When I asked for a single nights stay refund as the room was unusable for sleep they only refunded a $60 service fee. Dave your money and time and go somewhere that actually cares about their patrons. If I could rate this place with negative numbers I would. Thanks for ruining the first part of our anniversary!

Tiffany S.

Yelp
Nice hotel we booked through hotels.com however there was confusion on our end about the size of the beds and the room could not fit our family they kindly allowed us a refund . My parents stayed there and loved their room and the hotel was nice and clean :)

Yelp
Location is very good as it is within minutes from the wharf and close to several restaurants. Staff was friendly and accommodating and rooms are comfortable. My negative is that the parking is $65 a day and there was a $30 daily "amenities" fee. Which consists of a broken ping pong table, fire pits outside, some cheap Cornhole and connect four games. Something that is advertised as a gaming area is charged to your room as an "amenities fee".

Yelp
If you book with Priceline, hotel charges extra $35 per night which was not disclosed with the room rate. Except , default statement Priceline has "there will be an additional charge for your reservation". I thought it was cheap on Priceline but with extra $35 per night it was more than hotel website. So be aware of the hidden charges. And Priceline tells to contact hotel Zypher about the extra charges. It sucks. I have reserved quite a few hotels through Priceline but this is first one I encounter hidden charges.

Yelp
Choosing hotels in the Internet is a crap shoot let alone in tourist central, but the Zephyr was awesome. Great value, wonderful location, friendly staff and room surprisingly quiet. Would rebook in a heartbeat

Yelp
Worst hotel stay for a long time and I stay at a lot of hotels! Literally no hot water the entire trip! I was told multiple times it would be fixed in 15 minutes. Pictures this, family of 4 going to San Francisco, heavy wind and rain all day, but we stick it out and see a lot! BACK TO THE HOTEL TO SHOWER AND WARM UP!!!! ZERO HOT WATER!!! No other rooms available, and what does rhe manager try to do to make me happy, FREE PARKING ONLY!!!! ARE YOU SERIOUS!

Yelp
On the block over from Pier 39, so the walk to the Aquarium of the Bay took all of 3 minutes. This is a great hotel if you want to step away now and then from the busier tourist sights and enjoy playing and hanging out with friends. My group booked the hotel here, then had friends come over to hang out with us. We roasted smores, played corn hole, chess, billards, ping pong, and all kinds of other fun games they had spread out between the game room and outdoor courtyard. If you have kids or playful friends, it's a great place to play and recharge before hitting the bigger crowds again.

Yelp
I enjoyed my stay. The hotel is walking distance from everything. I will return once I come back to the city.

Yelp
3 day, 2 night stay. Pros: The grounds are clean, the decor is creative, the staff is friendly. The location is across the street from Pier 39 which is PRIME. There is an IHOP and 7/11 within a minute walk from the entrance of the hotel. Cons: A couple stands of the last guests hair were left in the shower. The walls are SO THIN. You'll hear everything your Brigid is talking about. Overall, because of location I would stay here again and just being a noise machine.

Yelp
BEWARE! Had a good stay until I accidentally left some personal items behind. Called them a few hours after checking out and was assured someone in housekeeping would get back to me.. still waiting 4 days later, multiple calls and messages left and nothing. What a nightmare it has been trying to get anyone here to take any accountability just transferred to another voicemail over and over and no resolution or even a call back. Really soured my experience of this hotel.

Yelp
Terrible experience and I haven't even set foot through the door. I've been trying to call to manage a reservation all day and have been disconnected five times. When I talk to a person, they say I'm in the wrong spot even though the phone prompts lead me there for existing reservations. Then they transfer me and disconnect. One person took down a message since I've been disconnected five times and I never heard back. I gave up on the 6th call after being on hold for 40 minutes. The only answer you will get is if you are making a new reservation. When I tried to talk to that person as a last resort, they told me I had no other options other than to keep calling that number that I was calling for hours. They threw up their hands completely and said they must be busy. I asked for a manager and I was disconnected when transferred. I don't want to stay here and I don't want to get charged for skipping out on a reservation. This is not resolved after 12 hours.

Yelp
I came to San Francisco for the Salesforce conference. I ended up booking this hotel through my job because it was the same one that my boss was staying at. When I met her up at the airport she was talking about how cool and different the hotel was going to be. I have to admit that the location was great. It is right by pier 39 and walking distance from a lot of restaurants. When we got there, there was a line to check in. We politely stood in line and waited until someone was available to help us. I only had to go up to the front desk 3 times. When I checked in, when I checked out, and then one additional time when I went to go get some silverware for my take out. Every single time that I went to the front desk everyone was kind and efficient. The lobby and outside area of the hotel were really cool. The hotel is decorated and the theme is kind of industrial. It is definitely a cool place to hang out because there is a game room. My favorite part was that when you go outside there are fire pits and if you go to the front desk they will give you marshmallows that you can roast. However, as far as my room went this is where it was an okay experience. As soon as I got off on my floor I could smell a musty humid smell. I do not really know what it was but you can smell it everywhere. When I opened the door to my room. I liked the spacious layout of the actual room and it was a plus that my room had a balcony views that looked towards the pier but I hated the bathroom. It barely had any counter space. I am one person and I felt cramped and uncomfortable while doing my hair and getting ready for the day. I also felt like the bathroom needs a remodel or upgrade. I felt like I wanted to deep clean it before getting in. The amenities are cool and the room is spacious however, I rather stay somewhere where I am comfortable the whole time.

Yelp
One of the worst hotels I have stayed in. You can't open your windows because cars park directly in front of the window with there headlights on. It's a disaster. The bathroom was not very clean. The wallpaper was peeling. The staff is absolutely useless. I have never had a worse hotel stay. It was so bad I needed to leave. Let's not even talk about all the unsavory characters around the hotel. Not worth the stay! Not only do they give you a terrible room and horrendous service they claimed that the room with a car directly in front of it was an upgrade... if that's the upgrade what is the standard room? Save yourself the pain of staying in this hell hole. Don't be fooled by the fun lobby photos.

Yelp
We went to SF to spend 1 nite for Peggy's birthday. We hadn't been to SF for almost 3 yrs because of the virus lockdown. Hotel is a whole block just off Pier 39. The location is convenient but all the side shops are closed due to the virus, only 7-11 & IHOP are open. The hotel is 4 stories, but only 8 rooms have patios with bay views, we upgraded to one on the 3rd floor overlooking Alcatraz island. The interior decor is unusual, and there are 3 firepits in the middle yard for marshmallows roasting, but one 2 were lit till 10:30 pm. We took tons of pictures in the lobby. The staff is friendly but busy with guests. There's no bar or eatery onsite, but there are restaurants all around the block. We went on a Sunday nite, and we can't believe everything was closed at 9:30 pm already. Even McDonalds was closed, but In & Out Burger is still open, but it's packed like sardines. Oh, parking is complimentary. Hotel also provides free water, wifi, coffee, etc. There's even a gym room but I didn't bring my gear. The bed is comfortable, shower is hot, both A/C & heater work fine, large enough TV, our upgraded room even comes with a fridge. One last note, there are homeless hobos all around, that's disgusting. You just feel uncomfortable, politics aside, this is what you paid for being a sanctuary city. That's why the hotel & the nearby businesses all have nitetime security personnel. Just unfortunate. Infuriates me my taxpayer money have to go to lazy homeless hobos who are too lazy to work. Two morons outside 7-11 preaching the bible or whatever to themselves. We took Uber to the Ferry Building, and there are god damn tents pitched all along Embarcadero. I don't know why the liberal politicians house them in their own homes. It just ruins an otherwise could-be beautiful city.

Yelp
Enjoyed our stay here with my family, it was 4 adults very spacious room & walking distance from the Pier at night we get to see the car show on the Pier and enjoy ice cream as we walk, not far from the Golden Gate Bridge about 10 minute drive. Love the free s'mores by the fire place & the free water bottles at check in. Very nice lady in the lobby helping us book a tour to Alcazar Prison.

Yelp
Our travel agency booked this hotel as part of the group tour we were on. The location is great for accessing Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39 (and we could see Alcatraz through the fog from our room) but seems more geared towards families with kids. There are game rooms and kitschy maritime decor. There are also fire pits outside and I had read that they provide complimentary s'mores kits, however the front desk clerk charged me for mine after I gave her my room number. Whatever .... The walls are also pretty thin and we could hear the TV in other rooms and the nearby service elevator. This would be a fine hotel if you have kids but we would have preferred something a little more sophisticated.
