Hotel Zhero

We had another amazing stay at Zhero. This was our second time here, and once again everything was perfect!! A special thank you to Adam for taking such great care of us. He and the team was incredibly helpful and made our ski holiday so easy and relaxed. The service at this hotel is truly outstanding: everything is well organized, from storing and preparing the skis to helping with anything you might need. We are always happy here and will definitely keep coming back every year. Highly recommended!

We have been visiting Hotel Zhero for six years in a row, and every stay has been excellent. The hotel is truly wonderful and that’s why we return every year. A special thank you to Anet, the waitress in the hotel restaurant, who is incredibly kind and attentive. She remembers our favorite coffee and meals from previous visits and always makes us feel welcome. This year, she even arranged a room upgrade for us, which we truly appreciated. Anet’s exceptional service makes a big difference, and she is a real asset to the hotel. Highly recommended!

I stayed at Zhero hotel from 04th January until 10th January 2026. Unfortunately, overall I did not have a very pleasant experience. 1. The room. Our room was very dusty and stuffy. I stayed in room 318. If staff are interested , they can go check this themselves. The room is poorly ventilated. Me and my friend`s throat kept getting dry every nights and we felt sick each night and only would feel better after we left for the mountain. The room is poorly designed, very impractical. Sockets for charging phones are hidden behind nightstands, and you have to move them yourself in order to charge your phone. The bed has rough edges and they are colored in black, and my friend and I kept accidentally hurting ourselves against it during the night. The bathroom glass curtain is too short. So every time we took a shower there would be a large puddle of water on the floor. The lamps in the room are very cheap, and they warm up the room. So we ended up keeping the lights off in order to avoid heating up the room. 2. Strange SPA The SPA area is very strange. Two main issues: - there are no rules regarding age or keeping your swimsuits on in the sauna space. In most of Austria / Germany, it is required to take your swimsuit off. That`s what I did, also because it was more sanitary, but there was another guest who entered the sauna with her son and scolded me for being naked. When she called up the Staff to complain about me being naked in the SPA area where the children are, the staff informed her (and me) that the policy is flexible and I am allowed to be nude. This left both myself and the woman confused and both of us were uncomfortable with the situation. Moreover, the SPA are is completely dark. The lights are always completely turned off there. There are no lights in the saunas. Which is strange and quite uncomfortable, because it can be difficult to see where you are going. And one time, in the Aroma sauna, I almost accidentally touched the heating system (which is in the back), because it`s so dark you cannot see it there and there are no signs warning against it. 3. Staff Staff is generally quite polite and nice. You can tell that they are trying their best, however, there is some confusion because of language. Most of the staff is not german speaking, and some of them prefer to speak to guests in english. However, some of them prefer to communicate in german. As an english speaker who does speak some german, I was confused throughout my stay and this confusion around language caused some wrong orders here and there. They did not make us pay for this mistakes, but it was strange. Positives : - the breakfast is great - the transfer to skiing resorts generally works quite well and is very convenient Overall, I did not enjoy my stay unfortunately, as when I pay for a 5 star Hotel, I really expect a smooth experience. However, I was made very uncomfortable in the SPA and I felt sick all the time from how dry and dusty is the air in the room that I stayed in. Unfortunately, I am not planning to come back. I did like how pleasant and polite the hotel staff is. I see that they are trying their best and I wish them great success in improving their hotel going forward, because there is definitely a lot of space for improvement and these are not impossible fixes. I only visited the restaurant, but it is a clear recommendation for people with celiac disease. The staff was knowledgeable and attentive to dietary requirements, which made the experience very reassuring.

Hotel is excellent. First and foremost, staff is 12/10. Above perfect. I have never seen such a level of professionalism. Although it was last week of the season every single of staff member was smiling, genteel, polite, helpful, making the overall experience just perfect. Every single staff member. Without exception. Unreal. Room and bathroom were big, cozy, neat, equipped with everyting you need. Ski room is in a perfect place with well thought out ski holders and heated storage for ski boots. Wellness has a grate, big swimming pool, saunas and solid fitness room. Food is excellent. Hotels shuttle service is also perfect with excellent drivers, in every sense.

The outstanding hospitality provided by the staff at Hotel Zhero started before we arrived. They were happy to address our needs and answer questions prior to arrival. After we arrived, the staff was welcoming and warm. The shuttle service was invaluable and Stefan at the ski counter was very enthusiastic and helpful. The room was a bit hot at night but otherwise impeccable and well kept. The beds were comfortable and the rooms larger than I expected. The staff were all attentive and kind. The rooms were also well kept throughout our stay. I would highly recommend hotel Zhero while skiing at Ischgl.

I absolutely loved this hotel. The first thing I will say is that the staff go out their way. Nothing is too much trouble. A big shout goes out to JANINE. I must have driven her mad before I even arrived. They were all so helpful. Also to Guilia I believe that’s how you spell her name. On two occasions we had left stuff in the room and the staff collected it and dropped it off for me in the shuttle to Ischgl. That goes above and beyond. Also to Oskar and Colin on the front desk. Alex in the bar. |The hotel is very cool and has a great vibe. It’s very stylish. The breakfast is outstanding and we had dinner one night at The saint which was good. |The spa is great as is the indoor pool. Very nice after a day on the slopes. |Whilst the hotel is slightly out of ischgl the shuttle is very efficient. There was only one occasion where I had to wait a little longer. The hotel realised they had this problem and hired an additional van to accommodate all the extra guests for half term week. |If I was to say only two negatives it would be that the rooms are insanely hot. We had to keep the balcony door open the whole time. Also I would prefer not to have babies or at least very young kids jumping in the pool. Prob should be a minimum age restriction |Overall I’d highly recommend this hotel and I will be back! 5* luxury on the slopes

Very nice hotel close to ischghl ski area. Friendly staff, lovely rooms, great spa area as well as the bar and restaurant. Free shuttle to and from the town on your schedule was a big plus. Would certainly recommend this hotel for a modern touch to a chalet. Cons: Said there was free parking - there wasn't, had to paid 15euros a day. Wouldn't have been annoyed had they been upfront and said that parking wasn't free. Ate the breakfast in the restaurant and had drinks at the bar, we gave tips on the bill but when we checked out l, they added an additional 10% for food and 20% for drinks so double service. I'm not sure whether this was an honest mistake or a scam but we paid in advance for the room for the entire duration. At check in, was told that "you only paid for half your stay". I quickly corrected that false statement. Fantastic spa area, really well done but no hot tub, in my opinion the one thing that really is nice after skiing. You can rent skis in house. We rented at the slopes because the shop was closed when we tried to rent. The choice of rental in ischgal was better and more convenient as you didn't have to walk around in ski boots. Overall it was a nice hotel and certainly better priced and more modern looking than the hotels nearby.
