Let me be crystal clear for anyone browsing: this is a hostel, not a hotel. A cute hostel with some boutique touches? Yes. But calling it a hotel feels a little like online dating with misleading angles.
Now, the positives first because I’m not a monster:
The 24/7 text concierge was fantastic and very responsive. The location is great, and both my daughter and I felt safe in the building and the surrounding area. The beds and pillows were surprisingly comfortable, and the AC itself worked really well once we figured it out (the remote felt like trying to operate a spaceship with no training manual). The lounge area was well stocked with beverages, which was great, though bottled water would have been a more useful staple.
Where things fell short:
The room cannot be locked from the inside beyond the standard latch. For a hostel setup, a deadbolt or chain lock would go a long way in helping guests feel secure.
The floors and rug didn’t feel clean. In a shared-style environment that’s a big deal.
The towels were thin and tiny, not at all what you’d expect for the price point.
The shower design guarantees the entire bathroom ends up soaked—a door, curtain, or barrier would solve a lot of chaos.
No shelving in the bathroom meant toiletries and clothes had nowhere to go besides a wet counter or the floor.
IF you book here pack shower shoes!
Walls and finishes could use a refresh. Scuffed walls make the space feel more worn down than it should for what guests are paying.
The stairs are loud, so expect to hear every arrival and departure.

Bottom line: It’s a decent place with potential, especially for budget travelers who understand the hostel concept. But at the current price point, improvements are needed to match the branding and expectations being set. If the name, amenities, and marketing more honestly reflected what the stay actually is, and a few upgrades were made, this could be a much better experience.
PS...take shower shoes!!!
Would I stay again?
Maybe — but not without some of those changes.
