Hotel Zoe Fisherman's Wharf

The hotel is beautiful the staff so friendly and the location is fantastic. The rooms are small but tasteful and overall had everything you need on a short 1 week break. If staying longer then storage of clothes is very limited as are the storage options but nothing that cant be overcome. We benefited from a free continental breakfast daily in the adjoining Italian bar/restaurant along with 15% off meals & drinks if booked through your room (we never used this)|the hotel is 5 minutes stroll from the sea front band max 10 mins from the famous pier. You can actually walk into the main city centre and Pier one in around 1 hour ! which is lovely. The staff are all so friendly and made our stay one of the nicest we have had.

We had a fab 3 night stay at Hotel Zoe! When we checked in we got upgraded to a queen suite so had lots of space in our room. |The hotel is within walking distance of everything. We bought a day pass for the public bus which stops right outside the hotel and took us to Golden Gate Park and Golden Gate Bridge. |Staff were friendly, hotel was clean and very safe inside, the location was fairly safe considering the rest of San Francisco. |You get a $15 credit to use in the restaurant which we used for one of our evening meals - would have been great for breakfast but there is a Starbucks right next door. Along with a Trader Joes which we bought water and snacks from. |We loved the hotel and San Francisco!

This was our last staff on a two week road trip, and I'm disappointed to say that it was our least favorite stay of any. We booked the stay that included the parking - that was convenient, and I saw if you paid for it separately it was $65 a day - so this was a bit cheaper, however, there is a parking garage literally next door that was advertised for $25 a day. The valets, however, were the friendliest and most helpful of anyone we met at the hotel. ||My experience was dampened at check-in. We arrived and there were multiple employees behind the desk talking - there was no greeting, and when they finally finished talking to each other one of them looked at me expectantly, so I gave her my name to check in. She cut me off and said, "I need an ID" - which I knew but would normally not just walk in without speaking and hand her my driver's license. There was no further conversation. She checked us in and handed me the key. ||No complaints with the room - it's a little compact, but very functional and was very clean. This was actually the only place we stayed during our trip where housekeeping does come in daily. We booked a deluxe King - the view - we were second floor and had a view of the bus stop - so no view. But, again, all of that would have been overlooked with a small welcome upon check-in. We were in the lobby several times during our stay, but no further conversations with anyone at the front desk.

Excellent position, close to pier 39, in the Marina area. Nice hotel. Rooms are all right. On the small side, an bo real view, but comfortable enough. Nice lobby as well. Breakfast is very good (in an adjacent restaurant). All in all we had a nice stay here.

The best breakfast by a country mile. What a superb service offering and the quality of food was much more than anticipated. The front of house manager was excellent, the server was efficient and friendly but the star of the show was René, who cared for our every need with a smile and warmth that was very genuine and appreciated. We travelled the breadth of the West Coast and this was by far our best experience for a pleasant breakfast. |We will most definitely be back here. Fantastic location: easy walking distance to tours, Piers, restaurants, and not too far from the bridge. Very comfortable room with large bed. Great restaurant next door (internally attached) NOT so great to get free coffee in Hotel Zoe lobby, but charged for exactly the same coffee, with breakfast, when sitting just less than 100 feet away!!

For the most part it was a great stay. All the hotel staff are friendly and accommodating. Ben the valet was especially helpful. The food in the restaurant is very good. My favorite meal the whole trip was the breakfast skillet. It was delicious. My only complaint with the room was the bathroom light. You need a separate light for the toilet area so you don't bother anyone that's sleeping if you have to get up at night.

Great location, and the staff couldn’t be nicer. Restaurant is good with friendly staff. Rooms are not large, even the deluxe king was a tight squeeze for my husband and I, especially the shower/toilet area. However, they are VERY clean and have all the appropriate amenities and we didn’t come to SF to sit in our room. Great courtyard area and nightly s’mores. 1 thing that desperately needs addressed is the bathroom light situation. You cannot turn the light on in the toilet area without the open vanity area light also coming on. It’s a big deal if you’re trying not to disturb your partner in the middle of the night. Would recommend. Walkable to so many areas!

When I was planning my wedding, I was in search of a hotel block for our guests. I chose Hotel Zoe as one of the hotels. I was able to preview one of the rooms and the location prior to our stay. I loved that it's located in the Fisherman wharf area, with plenty of restaurants and activities within walking distance or a short Uber ride away. I especially loved that a Trader Joe's and Starbucks was one block over for convenience. This hotel has plenty of safety procedures in place, including needing a key to access the lobby after a certain hour and to gain access to the elevators. Parking is gated, but like most of the city it does cost to park there. We decided to stay at the hotel for our wedding weekend. We opted for the king suite which offered plenty of room for our extra luggage. The room was clean and we were greeted with complimentary champagne and a sweet welcome note upon walking into our room the first day. The hotel also offers complimentary nightly s'mores, blankets for the outside patio and complimentary coffee daily. Overall a great hotel with gracious hospitality and staff. We loved our stay!

Where can I start? This hotel is worth every penny! I came for a family emergency and I could honestly say it was the best choice we made to stay here. Roy assisted us at check in gave us a great rate, our rooms were pristine. All products in the room are superior, the beds are comfy (felt like I was sleeping on a cloud. The products in the room were Beekman (hella boujee). I would come and stay here again! Ben is the BEST! Assured us our car would be safe and secure. I definitely plan on returning and making my stay here.

Very cute, clean, and safe hotel within walking distance to Fishermans Wharf. From the hotel lobby to Pier 39, it is maybe a 10 minute walk at most, and it felt safe the whole way, even walking back after dark. Parking is valet only, $65/ night, and not included in the room cost, but that is very standard for the bay. Rooms were good size, comfortable beds, and pillows. Fully stocked mini bar and snacks in room (haven't seen that in a while!). Staff was super helpful with any questions or concerns we had. Even had umbrellas at the front desk we could borrow when it was raining out.. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at Hotel Zoe from July 10th through July 12th. We had a great time! Everyone was very accommodating and friendly! It was my Birthday and I received a free bottle of wine! I will definitely be telling friends and family about this hotel. Nice queen size beds and lovely bathroom. Please can someone get back to me and let me know where can I purchase some of those PILLOWS! Best sleep ever! The hotel was in walking distance of all the places we wanted to visit! Thanks Hotel Zoe for making my Birthday vacation a Great one!

Wonderful experience staying at Hotel Zoe. Extra clean room with plenty of towels. Loved the outdoor fire pits to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Highly recommend. Will be returning there anytime I go to a Giants game.

We stayed here for a couple of days. Make sure to book through the actual website because we booked through Expedia and we had so many problems! I had accidentally canceled 2 nights instead of 1 and they upped the price so much and didn't accommodate us to match the price that I had originally paid for the other nights. They charged us $350 for 1 night which is extremely outrageous for something that doesn't even include breakfast. Although the location is convenient in the heart of downtown San Francisco. Everything is 5-12 mins away.

Very cute and comfortable. Short walk to Fisherman's Wharf. Love the smores packets for a sweet treat in the evening.

We stayed for the a few days to see the city and wanted to stay close the wharf. It's decently close to that area The staff were so kind! They made us feel welcome and answered all of our questions. They had an attached restaurant that they give you credit for when you check in. It's so weird to me but it's closed for lunch? We always book a hotel with a gym and it was listed as a perk at the hotel. What they actually have is a partnership with a local gym. The local partner is far from hotel so it's not as convenient as just going within the building. At the time we went the daily parking fee was absolutely obscene at $70/ day. We will not be back. Sheets are scratchy No fitted sheet on the bed they just laid a flat sheet out so when you move at night it gets pulled up You have exactly 1 drawer to put things in because the other is a safe

I was so hopefully for this place... the staff is amazing that's not an issue it's just little things with the room I booked that makes me not want to come back. I booked a jr suite... but I feel this is the size of a standard room and I could have booked that and got the same thing. I don't like that when I look out my window the way this building is made there might as well not even been a window. You can see directly into the rooms across the way... and it's like super close. The ac / heater is weird as hell you can only set a temp and it adjusts its self hot or cold or you can just turn it off... I slept with off half the night because im the opposite of sleeping with fans they keep me awake. Then I froze half way and turned it on but once it reaches the warm spot it turns cold again... and then the bath room. You can't shut the fan off. Like at all. Which I absolutely hate I can't stand hearing a fan running constantly when I'm doing anything. And the sink barely drains and you can't pull the stopper out... I definitely will not book again. Just not a comfortable place for me at all.

Our stay was fantastic!. The rooms were so nice and the beds were so comfortable. The staff here was incredibly helpful and kind and even helped me and my mom take a photo together outside in front of the sign. Our stay here was absolutely amazing and we will be back!

Stars for location* and general charm *of an older hotel. But, making reservation was unusual. After making res online and adding payment I didn't get anything for a confirmation. I had to call to confirm reservation because I did t want to show up without one. I was surprised by the appearance (it's nice but not grand in size) when we arrived by taxi in the parking loop. Our driver passed us our bags and there was no one in the entry way. I walked to the doors with my bags and managed to open the door myself. Two people at front desk but only one could answer questions or check in. They were kind and let me check in a little early*. There are water filling stations * which was nice. There is no coffee or tea in the room. If you want it you have to go downstairs during a small window of time only in the morning. This was disappointing because I love a cup of hot tea in the evening (SF is cool and sometimes windy so it's pleasant). There are no extra blankets or pillows stored in the closet. There was a nightly stinky smell that wafted through the room. The room was very clean*. There is a fee added in to bill posed as a credit for using the restaurant/shop. There is only a restaurant and couldn't really use it on any of the days. Would have been nice if I could have gotten a snack or hot coffee/tea with the credit. Gym was small and smelled really bad, but not necessary because of the location. You can easily walk to the pier or many other sites*

This hotel had a great location. It was an easy walk to Fisherman's Wharf. It was a really tight squeeze for our family of four. We had to do some Tetris with our suitcases in a small closet and the bathroom counter space was rough. Shower drain was backing up a bit and our sink made a strange noise if it wasn't on full pressure. Overall it was very clean and the staff was very welcoming.

Overall stay was average. Location is great, staff and in particular the front desk was very good but the hotel is run down and dirty. They also charge $75 a day for parking which there are cheaper options and if you're disabled and have a plate or placard nearly every other hotel will comp your parking fee. The challenge probably that this is located in the touristy area, so they're not so concerned about quality the hotel, they realize that people will stay there regardless when they visit Fishermans wharf. However, some of the things to pay attention to were the bedsheets, and the pillows were dirty, bathroom sink didn't work and the windows were dirty. On a positive note, the front desk was extremely nice and cordial. Most of the staff is also very very nice. The attached restaurant is average the service is phenomenal but it's super over priced so the values not really there.

The location is good, and the front office is lovely. It's the rooms and hallways that are iffy. If you have vertigo or get dizzy these hallways are not for you. I feel like we should be greeted by a set of twins asking us to come play. On first look the room is nice. Mirrors on the wall to make it feel bigger and I think that was a great idea. But in the morning, dear god the Sun will blind you, because the curtains are not blackout and the mirrors just illuminate the room. However, if you are an early bird and don't mind light, this could work for you. Also the bathroom/vanity are controlled by the same switch, so if your husband has to go to the bathroom at 2 in the morning and needs the fan, you are getting a bright light in the room. I think for the price, it's not worth it Plus - TONS of outlets, location, service Cons - room setup, all of it. Unfortunately we will not be back, but it only due to the rooms, nothing else.

Nice little hotel in the City. Good pizza/bar downstairs. Only issue was that the reservation was messed up - two queens instead of a king. Very nice people, nice area.

Fantastic stay at Hotel Zoe. Located a couple of blocks from Fisherman's Wharf, it was the perfect place to stay to explore San Francisco without a car. Booked a TravelZoo deal for $159 plus taxes and fees which included a full daily breakfast for two, a complimentary two hour bike rental, coffee and tea service, a bottle of wine (not from California), a cute red stuffed red crab, water bottles at checkin, a discount at Pescatore Trattoria and more. Check in and check out were so easy. The front desk staff, Jose and Mary, were so kind and helpful. Mary sent us a kettle and hot cocoa to end our day with something sweet and warm to drink. Jose set us up with maps to explore the city and passes for the complimentary bike rentals. For breakfast, we had a delicious full spread. Loved the vegetarian frittatas that were full of mushrooms, onions, spinach, bell peppers and fontina cheese. Served with a side of potatoes and tomatoes, cantaloupe, strawberry jam and fresh sourdough bread, it was the perfect way to start the day. Special thanks to our waiter, Rene, who really spoiled us with amazing service. Used the hotel credit to also have a very fresh grilled salmon. Served with a citrus basil glaze, frisée, shaved fennel, farro and orange slices, it was such delicious and light dinner. The room was comfy and quiet despite being in the middle of a busy city. The outdoor fire pits were a nice way to warm up on chilly nights on late June. Thanks again to Jose, Rene and Mary for the extra TLC during our San Francisco getaway.

Awesome view by the Golden Gate Bridge, and the hotel room, though small, was cute and comfortable. The staff, including the folks at the front desk and the cleaning crew, were super friendly and sweet. It felt like a home away from home!

Nice place to stay real close to the Wharf. Nice crew friendly service. The restaurant down stairs not too bad either.

Pretty good, but a bit overpriced for the quality of the stay. The concierge was friendly but very adamant about doing the bare minimum required, maybe a result of understaffing. The room had a view of the city, and it was pretty cozy. The TV had a weird glitch in it, likely from being old, or from a previous guest having a kid that threw something at it. After a while we got used to it, definitely not something that made the stay nicer: I appreciated that the breakfast was included in the fee. I ordered the mushroom omelette and it was served with a big long hair in the center. It was gross to see as I cut into my omelette (especially since I found the hair about 5 bites in) but the house manager/host told me that they would be more careful in the future. I hope they plan on requiring house staff to wear hair nets or at least tie their hair properly. Accidents happen, but be sure to inspect your food before eating at the hotel's restaurant. $65 for valet parking plus $10 "parking tax" and other random fees on the checkout bill. Just park Nextdoor and pay $20, you can go in and out before 10 PM, and be sure to move your car in the morning by 11 AM (if you don't plan on staying an additional night). The s'mores and hot chocolate are a nice touch, and the open fires are nice fore guests who want something to do while staying close by. If you're thinking about staying here, it may be a good idea, but you could also be better off staying at a local motel. Overall an OK stay, nothing to write home about. It gets the job done. I felt comfortable sleeping in their beds, which is a good thing :)

Lovely hotel in a great location. Walking distance to fisherman's wharf. Very clean rooms, perfect for two people, may be a little small for four. I like the safety here also, they lock the doors at 11:00pm and you can only enter by scanning your room key. Also, you cannot go up the elevator without scanning your room key. The service is fantastic also! Jose was especially helpful. I found it a bit pricey however I think the price was about average for San Francisco. Overall it was very nice place and I would definitely stay again!

I feel like I can get better quality from places like Motel 6 or Travelodge, etc. I booked a stay w/ Hotel Zoe since I saw that in addition to having an average rating of an 8 out of 10, it's in a perfect location in San Francisco--Walking distance from Fisherman's Wharf and North Beach. The pictures of the interior online look great as well. Before my mom shared what the luggage porter kept telling her, I was checking us in at the front desk, when the representative shared that the hotel key is used to go to your floor in the elevator and also used to get into the lobby if checking in 11pm and after. Although I have never been told this at any hotel/motel, I felt it was pretty nice to have security of that sort, until my mother shared her concerns.. I took my elderly mother for a nice weekend getaway, only to arrive just a bit after 9pm to an unwelcoming luggage porter, who stressed how important it is that we take extra care because we're in an area known for tourists getting mugged. Although that may be true and he may have had kind intentions, it is not what guests want to be welcomed into, upon arrival. My mother was looking forward to get a breather from stress back home just to come to this upon arrival, after our flight. There are ways to communicate and share care, but I don't see how stressing robberies to an elderly lady are helpful, and it was stressed a lot, even as my mom and I walked out to get something to eat. In addition, when I turned on the shower, yellow water came out! I was so grossed out but knew from living in my old apartment, that we had to let the water run for a few minutes after the pipes were worked and then turn off and on. Just not what I expected from a pricey, elegant looking hotel. I've never even experienced this even at old motels! This made me wonder if Hotel Zoe is an old building that was remodeled. If I understand correctly from online info, it appears it was built in 2017. Also, I've always had street view from hotels, even at the busy streets in NY or pools area views in Vegas, and this is the first time ever, that I could hear all the loud street noise in the middle of an empty night! Not much traffic due to everything closing by 9pm, but I don't know why the windows at Hotel Zoe are not soundproof in comparison to countless places I've stayed at from hotels to motels in busy city streets. This added to my curiosity of how old the building is. Our room door was also about 6 inches away from the room next door. The walls are so thin that when the next door occupants went in and out of their room, it felt like someone was coming into our room. We also heard them flush their toilet, and it was so clear that it felt it was someone using the bathroom in our room. The other thing that caught me off guard is when connecting to free wifi and getting an alert that it's not secured. I have never seen this at any other hotel/motel ever! When I asked the front desk about it, her answer did not seem accurate, but she laughed a little, which made me feel as if what I was asking was silly. She said I'm not the only one who is using wifi and that they have so many in the hotel using it at the same time, so of course, it is not secure, and she said it's been that way and no one else has ever complained... Umm..I'm confused since I've stayed at places like the Westin, Aria, and Renaissance with more guests, which have secured wifi. Hotel Zoe Fisherman's Wharf is only nice for its interior design and location. There are plenty more hotels next door for better quality. I've stayed in a few but wanted to try something new, with regrets. Just feeling unsettled with how much we spent for a less than mediocre experience from the quality of Hotel Zoe. You'll get more from a no name motel!

Close to Fisherman's Wharf. Room is basic. Small, but comfortable. No premium channels on TV. No pool. No hot tub.free coffee and newspaper. Staff is friendly. Attached restaurant serves limited primarily Italian. Food was excellent but overpriced.

Extremely rude staff + manager. Charging extra fees & the rooms are cramped and awkwardly set up + no coffee machines, closed gym etc.

Location is great. Hotel is just ok and there are much better options. Advertises gym on Travelocity, which is a major reason I choose a hotel, but doesn't have one on site. In fact, they have nothing I can name that warrants charging $30 extra on top of room charge. Seriously, they have coffee in the morning and water through day. Nothing free in room. Not even free bottled water or coffee maker in room. Parking is $65-75 a day. Literally no perks but an extra resort fee. This is a disturbing trend that is following the airline industry. You don't have a "resort" so you shouldn't be charging an extra fee for nothing. For that price l, I can walk to Trader Joe's and buy a ton of water and coffee and still pocket an extra $20 a day in savings. I should have checked the underwhelming reviews before I I booked.

This hotel is nice don't get me wrong but the fees they charge are ridiculous. And there is no special service . restaurant closes early. They charged me $75 a day to park plus another $70 valet fee and taxes on top of that and $35 a day amenities tax for the weekend I paid for a standard room with 2 queen beds it was really not worth that sorry to say.

Everything. To start off, every time I go to San Francisco I stay at hotel Zoe. I like the restaurant down stairs good food and good drinks. Service is awesome and the valet is awesome too. This place is clean that's also why I stay here.

Fantastic hotel right on fisherman's wharf! We wanted to stay somewhere really close to the wharf, didn't realize just how close this place is! You are within walking distance to pier 39, the wharf, Chinatown and Little Italy. The rooms are modern, clean and the staff is fantastic! The hotel is also peaceful at night and quite. Everyone that works here is so friendly and profesional. I would definitely recommend this place! Will be staying here again!

This an OK hotel in an incredible location. The staff is friendly and the housekeeping is good. The rooms are incredibly small. We had what I was told was a "deluxe suite" and it was very small. The value is in very close proximity to Pier 39. I did order room service and the woman who answered the phone said this was her first time taking an order and didn't know if they had any wine. The room service was $110 for 2 cups of clam chowder, a chicken Caesar salad, and a kid's macaroni and cheese. The coffee machines for the complimentary breakfast were broken the whole time we were there and I couldn't get the Keurig in our room to work either. I think this is just the way things are now with hotels. It's less stuff for more money. By no means a bad hotel, but very expensive and the rooms are very small.

Booked this hotel for a company trip. Arrived super hungry during lunch time stated on their website. Restaurant was closed so I asked for suggestions. They told me my best bet was to check grubhub/ubereats. On my way back down, I hear a woman ( who doesn't look like me ) ask them the same question. They politely pointed her to a "fast and tasty" place around the corner. It was the same two people working. May seem small, but it didn't make me feel good that you shrug me off like that. Because of this I won't stay here or suggest it. I still have 2 days left at the moment, will update. The one star is for the doorman. He was quite sweet.

This review is delayed, but I wanted to make sure I had the time to dedicate to it because I have a lot of things to absolutely RAVE about. I booked a two night stay here back in May of this year to celebrate my boyfriend's 30th birthday. He loves spending time in the city and as part of his gift I wanted to make sure that the hotel I booked was REALLY nice but still within a reasonable price point. Hotel Zoe DELIVERED. I sent an email prior to our stay and asked what, if any, sort of room accommodations they offered for celebrating a birthday. Mary was who responded, and she provided me a list of the hotels options. Nothing really on that list "fit" and Mary told me that they would work with an outside vendor to arrange for something else to be delivered. I responded that I would let her know ASAP as I was looking for balloons- Mary wrote back within minutes and said that there was no need, she PERSONALLY would go across the street to Safeway (grocery store) to purchase and have the balloons inflated and place them in the room prior to her arrival. WHO DOES THAT?? She asked for some ideas and I said I was hoping for a big "3-0" and some misc colors. He's a big Niner and Giants fan so the team colors would work. She responded that Safeway didn't have those options but she would, and I quote, "figure it out". Did she EVER! She was in constant contact via email with me leading up to our stay, answering my questions regarding the parking package, early/late check in and out, and about a million other miscellaneous inquiries I thought of. She never once delayed a response, seemed as though I was being a nuisance or annoying, and was always more than happy to help. Our stay went beautifully. Upon entering we saw the beautiful bouquet of balloons that Mary and her team had prepared for us, in addition to an ice bucket of cold local brew beers and two Golden Gate Bridge cookies. (Never mentioned the last two items, she just provided!) The room was immaculately clean, the bed was extremely comfortable, the view was phenomenal, the valet was quick and polite, the hotel SMELLED amazing, and it felt like a truly upscale experience while remaining reasonable in price. Upon checkout, I had mentioned to Mary (the woman the myth the legend herself!) how amazing it smelled in their lobby and had asked if they use a certain air freshener or fragrance. She said, "oh we do! I'll send you the information." Y'all she immediately emailed me the LINK to the site where they sell the device they use, and the NAME of the scent that I complimented! (I was unable to locate unfortunately but that, I'm sure, is 100% user error). She was truly the most helpful human being I've ever experienced in my history of staying in hotels and made this trip truly unforgettable. We're coming back next week with our son this time, and taking him to a Giants game. When we decided we would stay the night rather than make it a day trip, there was only one option of where we would be staying. Mary, thank you. I hope to see you when we visit next week but if we don't, I hope your superiors and even the owner of this amazing hotel know what a gem they have in you as an employee.

Nice rooms and exceptional staff here. Samir (I think that's her name) was over the top in welcoming us and helping out with our accommodations when we arrived. The rooms are nice and the location is great. The restaurant is also great and staff were also very kind and friendly. Due to the asinine city of San Francisco COVID rules, we weren't able to eat in the establishment, they were very apologetic over that issue (they didn't create.) In fact, I wasn't fully aware about how far reaching this COVID passport thing as gone here.... So we left the city to find more fun and freedom.... The wharf and many eateries have been decimated here in this once great town. Anyway, the Zoe is a great little hotel that holds its own against the big corporate hotels and should be high on your list of visits!

I got to the say this place was very convenient because of how close it was to Pier 39. Staff were friend as hell. Rooms were clean & you get full bottles of shampoo, conditioner & body wash. First time I encountered this! The only things I did not liked were the absence of a refrigerator. That was my first time to encounter something like that. Even the Motel 6 I stayed on had a refrigerator, but my room did not have it. Next, the thermostat was set too high, so the room ran hot at night. Kindda disappointing really. I fall asleep a lot faster if it was cold, but it was not, so I tossed & turned & did not get much sleep. Kindda upsetting. Hopefully they could fix those things when I get back. I really like the place & would like to give them one more chance to impress me because I could be a loyal regular.

Amazing hotel, great location, great service. Cafe downstairs was awesome as well! Enjoyed every minute of our stay.

I am staying at the Hotel Zoe during a week when hotels are booked due to a major conference. Being someone that spends half the year in hotels, I see all types. My conference registration came with this hotel. I just settled into my room. My first observation - it is loud. On the first floor, there are cars that can be heard outside. There is music and loud voices coming from the bar. And the stomping from upstairs? Someone must be square dancing. I can tell it's going to be a painful week when it comes to rest. The rooms themselves are small, but not as small as some properties in other countries. When you look at the cost with fees vs room size - you may get a little frustrated. On the plus side, the staff is nice and you are walking distance from some pretty cool places - especially if you love seafood. The bartender in the lobby makes some good cocktails and is also pretty funny. If you end up choosing this property, ask for an upper floor.

Stayed here with a Travel Zoo voucher that included breakfast, wine and bikes. I was surprised at check in of the $30 Amenities fee per person. There's no pool or fitness center and you're not really getting anything for the extra charge. The staff were great and helpful.

The staff was wonderful and did explain everything to me as I checked in about the additional fees on top of the room rate. There is a $35 a day resort fee and I think a credit towards food that you also get. My only complaint is that the, coffee and water in the lobby is only available certain hours. If you have an early early, check out before 7 AM, you're SOL. For your morning caffeine fix.

Great location for walking around town. Rooms are beautifully decorated and queen bed was comfortable. Front desk day staff needed improvement. Not particularly friendly or attentive- had to ask few times to have non working fridge replaced. Book direct with the hotel to get your best price and check the webpage offers. Coffee/tea/hot cocoa set up in the last lobby. Beautiful outdoor garden area with a fireplace to sit with wine in the evening or coffee in the morning. Trader Joe's around the corner and lots of walkable restaurants.

The hotel is a quick walk to Fisherman's Wharf and Ghiradelli Squre. Lots of restaurants near by and easy access to the trolley train. The room itself was clean and inviting. The beds were comfortable and I actually had great night's sleep. Bathrooms are spacious and good amount of lighting. My room looked out to the street and it was fun watching people walking around. Front staff was welcoming from the start. The valet staff even helped to bring up our luggage to our door. Quick check in and check out (even checked in about 30 minutes early without an early check in fee!). The lobby is nice as is the outside patio. Wish I had stayed more days to relax on the patio or by the fireplace. Definitely will book again at Hotel Zoe.

Overall a great place to stay. Great location, can't complain there. I liked how the valet parking was very easy and convenient. Unfortunately it is pricey ($70 for oversized vehicles i.e. SUV, truck. $60 for smaller vehicles) but this seemed to be standard for hotels in the area when I was researching. The front desk staff were all very nice and helpful. Our hotel room was the standard king with parking. When I booked my room I let the staff know ahead of time that it was our anniversary and they left a complimentary bottle of wine in the room for when we arrived plus two glasses. Plus a card! The best! The bed was sooo comfy and so were the pillows. This is something I rarely say about hotel beds. The bathroom was modern and very clean. Great lighting for makeup. Plenty of towels. A lot of shampoo/conditioner/body wash, not just the mini bottles hotels typically provide. Full length mirror too. Negatives... My reason for 4 stars mainly has to do with our particular room. Unfortunately when we arrived, we had to throw our luggage in, quickly get ready and be out the door in 15 minutes to make it to a concert. Therefore I didn't notice until I got back that our room actually overlooked a fire pit area where people gathered. Zero privacy unless the curtains were drawn. That was disappointing because I felt like we were in a cave having zero natural light the entire stay, and the room itself was tiny. Also no room service! But they do provide complimentary coffee in the lobby during breakfast hours and there is an on site restaurant that serves delicious food! My advice to you would be to look for a deal and search for packages if you can. I wouldn't go out of my way to stay here for top dollar but it certainly competes with some of the top chain hotels.

This is a true three star hotel experience. The design of the building is trendy but the beds were not very comfortable and the amenities/service were not reflective of the price. Overall I would recommend a stay here if some of the other options in similar price range are not available. Valet is $60+tax.

Good location that made it easy for this out-of-shape foodie to walk to North Beach and beyond to Chinatown or the opposite direction to the waterfront. Rooms are small but clean and newish. Hotel has a nice appearance and the staff was perfect in performance of the limited request I made of them, so no complaints there, However, you are paying a premium for the cost per square foot, but I would do it again since it did allow me to truly drill down and discover this part of SF when I normally stay in the Union Square immediate area.

Hotel Zoe is in a great location, rooms are clean with comfy beds. We don't spend to much time in the room so it didn't bother us the size of the room. It was a standard size. Valet parking is convenient but the fees per day are to high. We would definitely stay here again.

they will try and charge you after you get home a day or two later for the expense of the room and the incidentals no matter if they tell you there is no charge. not only is that a problem but they charge you up front $35 a day for a "hotel charge" when they give you $20 in food vouchers and ability to use bikes and other things rather than just have the hotel be $35 cheaper. the food place isnt open for lunch and it's a limited menu choices. I WOULD NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN. IT'S NOT WORTH THE HASTLE. HALF THEIR ROOMS HAVE NO VIEW OF THE CITY AS WELL.

Beware the staff is not well educated on how to arrange shuttles/transportation. Ask to speak to manager to arrange these types of requests. My family and I stayed in this hotel for a couple of nights prior to a cruise. The evening of arrival I asked about scheduling a shuttle or taxi, desk person said we could call down thirty minutes before we needed to leave to port and they'd have a ride. The next evening I asked a different desk person about time to call for shuttle- this time I was told to call down an hour before we had to leave. Grand finale: when I called to request shuttle ( an hour before we needed to leave) I was advised there were no taxis or shuttles available and I should call an Uber. Disappointing service.

This has been by far my favorite boutique hotel in San Francisco. Smaller than their sister hotel, The Argonaut, I prefer Hotel Zoe much before of the homier feel you get. I stayed here for a couple of weeks and for the most part it was very relaxing. The front staff is friendly and the lobby area has evening mixers with happy hours and complimentary light bites. Parking like most hotels in the area is valet only, I think it was $60/night to keep my car in the garage. It's not cheap! But it is what it is. Lemon and strawberry infused water is kept near the elevator for you to quench your thirst, I filled up my water bottles daily with this stuff. So good. The hotel rooms are pretty small but like I said earlier, it's a cozy room. The beds are one of my favorites of any hotel I have stayed! So plush, soft, and straight up comfy. Normally I prefer pillows with a light fill but the ones provided are somewhat tempur-pedic but I loved them! Large 50-inch TV's in the room with a much better TV Guide interface than the ancient crap The Argonaut had. Plenty of outlets for all my gadgets with built in USB ports to the lighting fixtures. The hotel is conveniently located next to a Safeway grocery store and there's also a Walgreens pharmacy in the same strip. So why only give it 4 stars? -Lack of a gym. -No hot tub or pool. Even though I usually go to specific studios for a workout every once in a while I don't have time to attend so I'll do a workout in the hotel gym. Hotel Zoe doesn't have a gym however if you ask the front desk about going to the gym they will give you a guest pass to use the 24 hour fitness across the street, which is nice but I would much rather not leave the hotel. The no pool or hot tub thing isn't that big of a deal but when I stay in hotels I usually do take advantage of the pool amenities. Overall, loved my stay and I recommend it to anyone looking to stay near Fisherman's Wharf or FiDi.

I was very disappointed with this hotel. The amenities were very few and the costs high. They charge a resort fee but there was no room service nor maid service. They gave us a bottle of wine but the room was only supplied with 2 paper coffee cups. The restaurant closed early so we couldn't even pick up food. With almost a $70.00 per night overnight parking rate in addition to the other problems I would definitely choose another hotel.hotel.

Fantastic hotel well worth the $300 a night that puts you right in the heart of the Fisherman's wharf! Walking distance to just about anything near pier 39 and such. They also have free bike rental, we biked all the way to Chinatown in about 15-20 mins! Awesome rooms and wonderful employees left a great mark on my trip.
