Hotel Zugertor

I had an amazing stay at Hotel Zugertor ! From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. They were incredibly friendly and always available to assist with anything I needed. The room was spotless, and the entire hotel maintained a high standard of cleanliness throughout my stay. It was evident that they take great care in ensuring a clean and comfortable environment for their guests. The location was convenient, and the amenities provided were top-notch. I highly recommend Hotel Zugertor for anyone looking for a relaxing, worry-free stay. I will definitely be returning!

Boutique Hotel 15mins walk from Zug old town and lake. Simple rooms nice breakfast, quite expensive but all of Switzerland is and most of the other hotels cost a LOT more.

I want to thank the administrator of the hotel for being really kind and super helpful! In a situation when I forget my bag in a restaurant, she helped to retrieve everything back even before the opening hours of the place 🙏🙏🙏 I wish all the kind deals you've done return back to you multiplied X times 👐

We loved our stay, the staff was really friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. The hotel is very well located and it not only has a beautiful restaurant on its own but there are also other food options not far away. We will definitely stay again the next time we pass by Zoug.

Hotel Zugertor is better than any 5 star hotel !!! This review is long due since I stayed in this hotel in Feb-March 2023. I travelled to Switzerland for work and chose to stay in this hotel because it was recommended by my colleagues and it was closest to my work place. When I reached Hotel Zugertor, I was jetlagged and very tired, so I went off to sleep immediately after checking in. I woke up quite late in the night and I realised the restaurant was closed and I had nothing to eat. To my pleasant surprise Oliver, who sits at the reception came with a hot pie oozing with cheese and smelling delicious. It tasted heavenly!!! During my one month stay I had many such pleasant experiences at Zugertor. All the staff at the Reception Oliver, Krishtina, Christina, Nina were very helpful. I will never forget Nina ❤️ in whom I found a good friend. I think Oliver's family runs the hotel since sometimes his dad would be at the reception. The rooms are very big, always clean and with great views. The station is very nearby. For one month Zugertor was my home away from home and will always remain very close to my heart.

We had a great experience at this hotel. We arrived with a big van which did not fit through their parking and they allowed to park in front until a few hours after check out time. |They welcomed our dog with a bowl (which we could keep!) Of food , and his own bed, and there was a sign at the door to inform others that there was a dog in the room. They were friendly and made it very easy for us - from letting us use the toilet when we came to retrieve the van in the afternoon to filling our water bottle and petting our dog and showing us wjere to gonfor a walk or how to find the magic key to the tower door:) |They had extra adaptors for the Swiss sockets which we could borrow. |Breakfast was good, nice varied selection for us and our kid. |The family room was big, comfortable beds (including the fold out couch), nice bathroom with bad and lots of towels and amenities, and warm inside the room.

We stayed for 3 nights in the Zugertor Hotel and found our experience quite relaxing. Yes, its a small hotel but you will receive 5 stars of kindness, quiet rooms, and good dining. Its also a short walk to the train station for convenience. Also, there are scooter rentals abound in the area. The management is very experienced with the area and provided us with bus tickets and information on the best places to see. In town, the clock tower is not to be missed. You will need a special key to go inside! The restaurant for breakfast was good, but the dinner was fantastic and affordable for the area. We hope to visit again soon. I highly recommend this hotel and supporting small businesses in the area.
