Hotel zum Bär Quedlinburg

We enjoyed our beautiful 3-night stay at Hotel Zum Bär in early Dez while enjoying the Quedlinburg Weihnachtsmarkt. Nothing but positives to share...very clean and comfortable room, wide selection of breakfast delicacies, and very attentive and friendly staff...from the front desk, to housekeeping to dining/kitchen staff. Thank you Hotel Zum Bär for making our stay so very enjoyable. Keep up the outstanding hospitality!

It is advised to make a reservation as the place was busy. I alread made one in the afternoon when we passed by. Service is decent. Prices are good. But the schnitzels were ordered were huge. Probably 2 persons can eat with one order. they had nice veggies and potatoes. Good beers as well.

The hotel is located right at the one end of the market square. The room was cozy and comfortable. The room window opened up with a view of the market square but surprisingly it was not noisy even on Sunday in mid July. The breakfast was very good. I had a chance to try several kinds of cheeses and cold cuts that were local to the Harz region.

Most centrally located place you can choose in Quedlinburg, yet quiet at night. Great service and attention to details (received a lot of chocolate for Easter), excellent breakfast buffet with freshly made Cappuccino and dog and kids friendly. Free parking just 100 m from the hotel at Pölle 4 (entering into the courtyard via a small gate).

I know this looks to be the biggest tourist spot in Quedlinburg which you may usually try to avoid, but you absolutely MUST go here for breakfast. €14.50 gets you the whole buffet (we had to sit outside because we were not hotel guests but the weather was great so we didn't mind) and there are so many local and traditional flavors that I felt I got a true culinary experience of Germany right there

Just love it. In a nice room. Quiet and the breakfast is very good. Nice people here. Was here for 3 nights. I can't explain the negative reviews but I also read this hotel switched owners? Anyway we liked it very much.

Had dinner at the hotel´s restaurant. The food was tasty, affordable, and the portions were generous! Tried the  Creamy-Tomate Soup, and Schnitzel. Very friendly staff and the setting at the terrace is just amazing! Highly recommended! Surely, next time I will stay in for a few days! Im sure it worth every penny!

We were staying nearby this hotel but our accomodation didn’t offer breakfast. |This hotel did, and for 12.50 euros we sat in the comfortable dining room and enjoyed an array of German breakfast staples: cheeses, salad, smoked salmon, deli meats, plus good Bircher muesli, scrambled eggs, bacon etc etc. A pot of filtered coffee or tea is offered as part of the tariff. |The staff spoke no English, but they were friendly and accomodating.|It was a joy to find this place as we had experienced what we are referring to as the Worst Breakfast Ever in a cafe nearby.|

This hotel exceeded my expectations. Price is fair and the village is, well, priceless. It's really not crowded here. It is a weekday so maybe that's why. But it's beautiful summer weather and the evening trip around the city is interesting, though all in German. The breakfast buffet for seven euros was a gastronomic delight. Bathroom super. Bed comfortable. Furnishings "old world but still has some life left in it" style. It was warm last night in the room. Wish we had realize there was a fan sitting up on top of the armoire.
