Disappointing Experience with Booking and Room Assignment
We booked a Junior Suite back in June for our stay at the end of November, and even confirmed the reservation by phone a few days before arrival. Upon check-in, we were given room 1.4, which turned out not to be inside the hotel building but in a separate annex accessed via an external staircase.
Once inside, we realized it was actually an apartment: spacious, yes, but with a kitchen, two bedrooms (one single, one double), and a living room. The bathroom only had a shower, not the bathtub shown in the photos. In short, it was not what we reserved.
When we raised the issue at reception, we were told the hotel was full and that this was an “upgrade.” It did not feel like one at all—being placed in another building, in a unit that isn’t even listed on the hotel’s website. The apartment also showed signs of wear and tear. We even asked to be moved to a double room (a downgrade compared to what we paid for), but the receptionist refused, saying it was “this or nothing.”
This attitude was unacceptable and left us feeling misled. If the hotel intends to sell apartments, they should clearly list them on their website and correctly define what a Junior Suite or Grand Suite is. Future guests should be cautious and insist on receiving exactly what they booked.
The only positives were the kindness of the rest of the staff and the quality of the breakfast. Unfortunately, the overall handling of our reservation was shameful and unprofessional.

Excellent Breakfast and Friendly Staff, Restaurant Worth Highlighting
While our accommodation experience was disappointing, the hotel’s services deserve recognition. The breakfast was excellent, with a good variety and quality that made mornings enjoyable. The restaurant offered well-prepared dishes and attentive service, making dining a pleasant part of the stay.
The spa facilities were clean and relaxing, providing a welcome escape. Staff members outside of reception were consistently kind, professional, and eager to help, which made a big difference in our overall impression.
In short, although the hotel management failed us in terms of the room reservation, the restaurant, spa, and staff delivered a much better experience. These aspects alone could justify a separate, higher rating.
