Great place to have a family dinner, and nights out. Food taste delicious, my family visited me for few days and we needed a place to feel the exotic Heidelberg feeling. The building itself is a historical gem, with beautiful Renaissance architecture that adds so much charm to the ambiance. I’m glad we made the right choice. The meal was delicious, the waiters were so polite and professional. I can’t wait to be there again.

One of the most beautiful places. The host was very nice and friendly. Beer was very good like everywhere in Germany. And the most important part, that is the place where we told out loud our love for each other for the first time. So, my recommendation for all people and bring your loved ones! 😊

I visited my son on my birthday. I enjoyed the day in a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The meals were delicious and the building itself is a historical gem. I really look forward to visiting the hotel and restaurant again.

Stayed here as part of the Heidelberg City of Literature 10th year Anniversary. Central and comfortable, Nice breakfast buffet with a traditional restaurant on site . You really do feel hosted with this as all the staff are fantastic.

I hadn’t stayed at this hotel since 2018, but I returned for a night while visiting friends in Heidelberg. The place has improved significantly since my last visit. The atmosphere, rooms, elevator, and even the entrance are now much more inviting. The location is perfect, right in the middle of everything you want to see in Heidelberg. The hotel’s restaurant is also impressive, and there are plenty of other dining options nearby. This historic hotel, with its rich history of over 300 years, adds a charming touch to the experience.

Very nice hotel in the oldest and the most beautiful building in Heidelberg. Unique atmosphere, very friendly even family like welcome, very fast check in. Large bright rooms with perfect view (Hauptstrasse view rooms). Living history. Just great, thanks to hosts!

Great experience. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They helped check us in early and were super friendly to my kids. The hotel is stunning inside and out. Our room was clean and comfortable. Fantastic location. The hotel is located in the center of Heidelberg Altstadt. Everyone in my family enjoyed our stay. We will be back.

Our tour group had lunch on ground floor. Food was OK as the best part was to talk to a student (one at each table) from university about leaving/school in city.

Disappointed in the size of the room compared to the photos on their website, the staff at the front desk was not as helpful as I would hope for information on the area. The location is great, I just wish it would have lived up to the cost.

My first time here was in the Honeymoon Suite. We've come back many times since and always enjoy the hotel, its staff, location, and especially the wonderful breakfast.

I'm a big fan of architectural beauty and the Hotel Zum Ritter delivers beautifully. I've long admired this historic building and made it a goal to stay in this hotel at least once in my travels to Heidelberg. With great excitement and expectations, my dream became reality this week. What a surprise to find the staff unfriendly and unhelpful, which is a surprise given the history and prestige of this hotel. I would recommend admiring the beautiful building from the outside and finding a nicer hotel with friendlier and warmer staff elsewhere.
