Hotel zur alten Stadtmauer

Hotel very well located in the beautiful city of Lübeck! They are very friendly at reception and are willing to help with whatever you need. There is the convenience of private parking very close to the hotel, which is very convenient for those arriving by car, given the streets with limited traffic in the old city. They also offer a complete and appetizing breakfast. The room is large, with a living room with a sofa. I suggest paying attention to the fact that it is necessary to use stairs to reach higher floors, so it may not be as convenient for people with mobility difficulties.

Room was fine, just a bit short of space. The towels are very thin and need replacing. Otherwise everything was lovely. Breakfast was delicious and the view from the balcony was delightful

I stayed at the Hotel zur alten Stadtmauer during the last two weeks of January 2023. I had a pleasant experience! The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The room and bed were comfortable, and I had a nice view to the south. It was quiet. It's a family-friendly hotel that is run a little like a hostel. They will clean your room but only if you request it. This arrangement keeps their rental rates very reasonable. They had a nice buffet breakfast each morning. The hotel's location is excellent.

Exceptionally nice staff who make everything possible! We were able to stay in the hotel even when there was no space. Beds were carried in the room with covers and bedlinen. The breakfast is awesome and rich. The owner showed us around after the breakfast in the most biodiverse garden I have seen with birds, bees, butterflies, well smelling flowers.

This is a small family owned pension. The rooms are a bit small. There is a lot of stairs and no lift. The breakfast is in a lovely sunroom. The beds are very firm and the bathrooms are a bit small. If you're looking for "creature comforts" this is not for you. The staff/owners are wonderful and will go out of their way for you tho.

Very friendly and casual atmosphere. Situated in a small quiet street. Perfectly suited for families. Great service when the hotel kindly sent us our clothes which we forgot in our room to our home address...|Hefty colour scheme in the interiors :) Clean.

I love the breakfast. It makes you feel very welcome. The hotel in general is very cozy and lovely. The rooms are on the smaller side but have everything needed and feel cozy as well. The location is quite perfect. I can imagine the hotel to be unfit for an any person who has problems with stairs since there isn't a lift.

Great hotel! Brilliant location, atmosphere, yummy breakfast, lovely rooms, clean, great philosophy and practice of sustainability… just wonderful!
