Absolutely stunning hotel in beautiful Zermatt. The amenities from the outdoor pool to sauna and spa area were incredible. The view from the balcony itself was enough to make our stay worth it. Marina, our host, was so friendly and hospitable. They even had a taxi service from the train station. 100% would recommend to anyone visiting Zermatt!!

A 5 star experience! One of our favorite places! Plus the train shuttle is free! We loved the ambiance, the view, and the special way the hosts made us feel! Highly recommend!

This was the best place for our honeymoon! The room was like a fairytale. We were served breakfast in our room each morning. The staff was so nice and super helpful, especially when it came to restaurant recommendations. I wish we got the girl at the front desk name, but she was so nice! The spa was also something I need to mention. Super clean and peaceful. The warming pool has an incredible view of the matterhorn. Would book this place again!

It is a small hotel managed by a family and it probably has one of the best views of the town. The staff is very kind and they make you feel welcome and comfortable. We didn’t really like the first room they gave us because it was on a lower floor and to me it felt people going through the street could see inside. However, they were able to change us to another room without problems so we could be more comfortable. The breakfast every morning was delicious and the spa is very good. The rooms are cozy and warm. And the garden with the views to the Cervino let you speechless. Beautiful place and hoping I can go back some day!

This hotel has been a cherry on the cake- what a way to end our Switzerland trip by being at this hotel. Amazing views of Matterhorn, right from our balcony. The owner, Mr. Zurbriggen, picked up us from the train station. It’s a 6 minute shuttle ride or a 15 minute walk. He is such a gentleman and offered us a free upgrade to their Streif Suite to allow more room for our toddler to play around. They were so thoughtful to have a crib, a high chair, a silicon bib, and plastic ware for him. We were amazed by the clear views of the gorgeous Matterhorn. It snowed overnight and we weren’t able to spot the Matterhorn as clearly again but nevertheless , we enjoyed the “winter wonderland”. You can relax in the jacuzzi and enjoy the gorgeous views. The breakfast is great and served at the door. The staff is very kind and accommodating. We loved our stay so much !! Would highly recommend it!!

This was our third time to Suitenhotel Zurbriggen, the last time being in 2018. We are a family with two adults and two older teens. As always, we loved our time here and can't imagine staying anywhere else in Zermatt. It is a really special place, where we feel at home.||Pros: Location across from gondola and with amazing views of the Matterhorn from the room and spa; breakfast in the room; cake in the afternoon by the pool; whole spa/pool area is divine; helpful, responsive and friendly concierge and staff; very spacious rooms. Cozy, intimate feel in the hotel, yet spacious.|Cons: This will be the third time in 7 years I have suggested the hotel provide hair conditioner in the rooms, so I suppose it's pointless to continue to suggest it. For women with long hair, it's essential, and with liquid requirements on flights, it is a pain to pack it. We didn't like that when we ordered soft-boiled eggs, we received a basket of raw eggs with a sign "cook me". This differed from years past, and we ordered scrambled eggs on following days as we don't want to cook on vacation, even if it's just an egg :). The rooms are showing wear, especially, the wood floors, but are still very comfortable. Speaking of comfort, we were really hot at night - this was not the case on prior trips, and it would be nice to be able to control the climate in our room. ||Despite these minor suggestions for improvement, we highly recommend this hotel and we can't wait to return!

My wife and I recently endured an extremely disappointing stay at Hotel Zurbriggen in Zermatt. Our journey commenced on an unfortunate note when our train was delayed due to the dreadful weather. Admittedly, this is not the hotel's fault. However, there were distinct announcements at the train station regarding the delay of several trains. Mysteriously, the hotel shuttle driver made no effort to obtain this information and simply departed without waiting for us. We then sent a message to the hotel when we arrived, but the response from the front desk was agonizingly sluggish. This left us in a state of uncertainty and frustration. As we awaited the driver in the cold and rainy weather, it was an extremely uncomfortable ordeal. We were left shivering. To add to our woes, when we finally had no alternative but to take a public bus to reach the hotel, we then received their response. There was still an approximately four-minute walk after we got off from the bus. Due to the weather and having our suitcases with us, it took us longer. Upon our arrival, there was no apology from the front desk staff, as if nothing had ever happened. Moreover, we had booked a mountain-view room, anticipating a serene and natural landscape. Instead, we were met with a view of a construction site. The sight completely shattered our expectations. People do not travel across the globe to see this in Switzerland! We requested to be transferred to another room if possible, but were unsurprisingly refused. Apparently, it could only be done if we agreed to pay about 100 CHF more to upgrade. It should be noted that this is not a budget hotel. The staff presented us with a QR code in the room, which we could scan to request breakfast to be delivered to our room the next morning. We requested it for 06:45 as we were planning to go on a hike. However, by 7 o'clock, we still had not received our breakfast. After waiting in vain, I called the front desk. The hotel staff asked us to go downstairs to eat. Only when we insisted that we had reserved breakfast did the hotel finally deliver it to our room. Such a service experience has left us deeply disappointed. We chose to reserve breakfast delivery to the room to enjoy a more convenient and comfortable morning. The hotel failed to fulfill its promise on time, which not only wasted our time but also caused unnecessary disruptions to our schedule. We did not finish our breakfast, barely touched it. We planned to go out for the view first and then return for it. By the time we got back, everything had already been cleared away. How efficient! The staff did not even ask and just removed everything. By the way, the construction site workers began working at half past seven. For those who desire to relax in a hotel, this is not the place for you. Overall, I would strongly caution against staying at Hotel Zurbriggen. Most aspects were unacceptable. I expect a much higher level of service and attention to detail from a hotel that has a 4.9-star rating on Google. We hope the hotel will take our incident seriously, improve and refine the service process to ensure that similar situations do not occur for other guests. We do not wish to receive a response from the hotel or to be compensated. The above is all genuine feedback from me. It is the worst hotel we have stayed at during our Swiss trip.

If you like to wake up in the morning, open the curtains and have an amazing view on the Matterhorn, this is the place where you want to be. This hotel offers an unobstructed view on the Matterhorn, and it will stay like this, since no more construction work is allowed in front of it. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the suites with balconies are equipped with a kitchen in case you want to prepare your own meals. The spa is amazing, and the heated pool outside offers a great view on the mountains. The skilift is across the street which also makes it a perfect place to stay in the winter. This is also the lift which you need to take when going to Italy, or go sking on the glacier (which is also open in summer). The connecting cable car opened in July this year and it is really worthwhile to take the trip from Zermatt to Cervinia and back. Many thanks to the hotel owners and staff that made our stay an unforgettable experience.
