Extremely bad and horrible party experience
I am writing to formally express my extreme dissatisfaction with the service provided during my party yesterday. Unfortunately, the experience fell far below the basic standards one would reasonably expect from a professional event venue.
At a minimum, a party venue should be able to provide correct table settings, prepare food and drinks on time, and welcome guests in an organised manner. Regrettably, this did not happen.
1. Incorrect and Uncorrected Table Name Cards
When I arrived to check the table arrangements, I discovered that name cards for five tables, covering 25 guests, were completely misspelled—not minor errors, but entirely incorrect last names. I immediately pointed this out. However, the issue was not fixed at all, and I was told by manager that there was no time to correct it. This was extremely unprofessional and deeply disrespectful to my guests.
2. Delayed and Unprepared Welcome Drinks
I had clearly informed you in advance that I wanted the welcome bubbles to start at 16:00. However, when guests arrived at that time, your staff had only just begun wiping glasses with towels, and the bubble station was not prepared at all. Guests were left waiting while staff scrambled to pour drinks. This reflected poor planning, lack of organisation, and unprofessional service.
3. Unauthorised Disposal of Paid Buffet Food
The most upsetting issue occurred later in the evening. Without any communication or consent, your staff threw away all remaining buffet food that I had paid for. When I came downstairs to ask for the leftover food so that I or my guests could take it home, I was told it had already been discarded.
Your staff later claimed this was because I had not instructed them to save the food before 22:30. However, neither the manager nor any staff member ever informed me that food would be thrown away after a certain time. Without this information, how could I reasonably know when to collect the leftovers? Disposing of food that a customer has paid for without consent is completely unacceptable.
I paid the full bill unwillingly and under pressure, as I did not want to cause difficulties for the receptionist, who was not responsible for these failures. However, the service I received was absolutely not worth what I paid for.
I expect a formal response addressing these issues, as well as appropriate compensation for the unacceptable level of service provided. I sincerely hope you take this complaint seriously and reflect on how such failures can be prevented in the future.
