First, the good points. The staff was courteous and helpful. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast offered good variety. The price was competitive. However, the room was cold. When I spoke to the receptionist about it, I was handed a space heater (suggesting this is a common complaint). The windows were dirty and there were cobwebs around them. There was no desk or table large enough for my laptop, nor was there a coffee maker, iron, or ironing board in the room. The towels were cheap and thin. The lobby/public area was dark and appears to be under construction. It is a long walk from the hotel to the train station. I have stayed at this hotel many times over the last 30 years, when it was the Hotel Linne. Compared to the former ownership/management, this was something of a disappointment. I will not stay here again.

Extremely bad and horrible party experience I am writing to formally express my extreme dissatisfaction with the service provided during my party yesterday. Unfortunately, the experience fell far below the basic standards one would reasonably expect from a professional event venue. At a minimum, a party venue should be able to provide correct table settings, prepare food and drinks on time, and welcome guests in an organised manner. Regrettably, this did not happen. 1. Incorrect and Uncorrected Table Name Cards When I arrived to check the table arrangements, I discovered that name cards for five tables, covering 25 guests, were completely misspelled—not minor errors, but entirely incorrect last names. I immediately pointed this out. However, the issue was not fixed at all, and I was told by manager that there was no time to correct it. This was extremely unprofessional and deeply disrespectful to my guests. 2. Delayed and Unprepared Welcome Drinks I had clearly informed you in advance that I wanted the welcome bubbles to start at 16:00. However, when guests arrived at that time, your staff had only just begun wiping glasses with towels, and the bubble station was not prepared at all. Guests were left waiting while staff scrambled to pour drinks. This reflected poor planning, lack of organisation, and unprofessional service. 3. Unauthorised Disposal of Paid Buffet Food The most upsetting issue occurred later in the evening. Without any communication or consent, your staff threw away all remaining buffet food that I had paid for. When I came downstairs to ask for the leftover food so that I or my guests could take it home, I was told it had already been discarded. Your staff later claimed this was because I had not instructed them to save the food before 22:30. However, neither the manager nor any staff member ever informed me that food would be thrown away after a certain time. Without this information, how could I reasonably know when to collect the leftovers? Disposing of food that a customer has paid for without consent is completely unacceptable. I paid the full bill unwillingly and under pressure, as I did not want to cause difficulties for the receptionist, who was not responsible for these failures. However, the service I received was absolutely not worth what I paid for. I expect a formal response addressing these issues, as well as appropriate compensation for the unacceptable level of service provided. I sincerely hope you take this complaint seriously and reflect on how such failures can be prevented in the future.

Very basic rooms with minimal amenities but good for a stay in Uppsala. The breakfast is extensive and there are always friendly hotel staff at reception. In the mornings, I could smell some cooking odours but that might just be my particular room. Wish there were things like tea and coffee, and a hairdryer in all rooms but these are minor in the grand scheme of things.

The breakfast was amazing. The room was small but nicely decorated. I liked that the beds were a little higher. You can stream at the television which was also nice. The showers get nice and hot. What wasn't great was that the curtains didn't close off properly. And I missed a bit of personal touch. The only thing the person at reception told me was; this is your room. Check out is at 11. Which I guess is all the information I needed, but it would be nice to feel invited to the bar or to ask questions.

We booked the ”gaming room” (darts, cornhole, shuffleboard) as a venue for a party, and it all worked out great. Great staff that were receptive to adjustements and changes on the fly. Bartenders especially were stellar. Would recommend.

Extremely bad experience. I hosted a party at their venue and the staffs were horribly rude. They spelled 25 guests names wrong on the table. They threw away all the food that i had paid for before asking me. I have informed everyone surrounding me to absolutely avoid this hotel. Please do not go to this hotel. Their manager is exteremly rude as well to guests via email. In the past 30 years of my life i have never meet someone/business like this. Horrible.

Hardest beds ever, horrificly uncomfortable. You can see that its an old house and much of the stuff is outdated but at least its not dirty. Expensive to enjoy the games area. It feels more like a hostel but to the price of a 4+ star hotel. There are a lot of better options in Uppsala.

Had bad luck with our room this time.. a frequently used smoking area right below our 2nd story window so our room fills with cigarette odor. No AC on the room means we have to have the window open to ventilate. Also there’s a smell from the kitchen coming into the room somewhere, as of this writting the room smells of scrambled egg and cooking grease… A shame for a otherwise decent hotel.
