Small rooms with relatively comfortable beds. The kitchen is extremely dirty and poorly equipped. The rooms have no windows, and the ladders to the top bunks are poorly designed—it almost feels like a step is missing. On the bright side, the showers and bathrooms are spotless, clean, and spacious. The staff is relatively polite based on my limited interactions. Breakfast is average but not included in the price.

Although the hostel was fine overall, the customer service was poor. After having forgotten a valuable ring there and claiming it via email, being assured it was there, according to an employee it has been thrown away. THROWN AWAY. A real silver ring. Apparently they didn’t know someone was going to pick it up, because it took too long (I am not from the area) AFTER I CLAIMED IT and also didn’t have a way to reach out to me, even though I had contacted them via email. Absolutely unacceptable. It is a very valuable item to me 😭😭

Right next to the central station, very good value for money. Late and good, cheap breakfast. Would certainly stay here again. My room had four bunk beds and no windows, like a ship cabin. But the advantage is that it is very silent, no street noise. If you are alone or only 2 people in the room, it is very nice. At full occupancy, it may be a bit cramped. Mattresses were good (real spring mattresses), pillows OK. Reading lamps at each bed, and electric sockets. There was noise from other rooms at some times during the night, but nothing terrible – it can happen randomly. Digital nomads and others who need to study or work can use the very large breakfast/lounge area, which is bright, silent and has large windows to the street and old central station. Or you can borrow a chair and bring it to the room. The communal bathroom area is large and clean. Breakfast for 95 SEK is a bargain. Served until 11 at weekdays and 13 in weekdays. The buffet was like an average hotel – with two additions: there are very good gluten-free options (good kinds of bread, three müslis, good corn flakes) – and you can bake your own wafers which are all gluten-free. I dared to use the wafer machines and didn't get any adverse reaction. There is also oat milk, but gluten-free plant milk is lacking. They need to get soy milk too. Laundry costs 75 SEK and you get to use the laundry room for 2 hours. The kitchen is large and very clean, but should be better equipped. Ample space in refrigerators, and one freezer. They provide only paper cups, no real glasses or cups. That is not sustainable.

In the heart of Uppsala city, great service, cheap, 4 beds in an apartment under €200/night .

The facilities of the shared bathroom and kitchen are great, but one's experience at this hostel is largely subject to the cleanliness of other guests. Sometimes people made a mess and it was unsightly. I also heard sounds from adjacent rooms, but luckily no one had been loud at night. I personally have no other complaint, but for the same price I have enjoyed included breakfasts, bigger rooms, and bathrooms shared by less people in Brussels, Münster, and München; and Uppsala is not as expensive a city. That said, great location and very nice staff. And the temperature is very conductive to good sleep.

If you consider to stay at this price, I strongly advice you to read our experience in advance. I wish I would have done the same... You won't get a hotel room, but a prison cell. The hotel's location is excellent and this is the cheapest place in this area, also the staff is helpful. But if you are even slightly claustrophobic, this place will give you nightmares. There are no windows in the rooms, and the rooms are extremely small, about 6-7 m2. So you have a bed, and if you book a "larger" room, you even get your own bathroom. Yay... I work in tourism myself and have seen many hotels, but never thought that such a place could exist. So long story short, the rooms are extremely small, you don't have a window, and if you don't pay attention, you will end up with a shared bathroom. This place is just depressing, the rooms make you feel like being in jail. And although being the cheapest, it's way too pricey for what it provides. So better invest a couple of kronor more and book a decent accommodation.

Located right in the city centre close to grocery stores, cafes, etc. The stuff is super friendly and willing to help! The property is clean, tidy, and quiet. Kitchen is available, fully-equipped with everything a person needs. Bedrooms are equipped with all the amenities needed. Beds are comfortable, too. The bathroom is clean, hot water available. Wi-fi is good (average speed). All in all, excellent price/value ratio. Recommend it!

Very clean hotel, internal room meant no windows or ventilation, but regardless for the price it was comfortable and did the job. Staff are warm and friendly, shower and toilet area are well maintained, shower rooms could do with a coat hook, but are totally functional. A continental style buffet is available at an additional cost, there was a good variety of foods and cereals available and waffles could be made fresh to order. Excellently located for shops and the local bus station! Overall good value for the price!

Yelp
(This review is only about the breakfast buffet, as it is the only thing that I have experience of at this place. Just so you know!) The place is located in the centrum of Uppsala, just across the street from the Uppsala Central Station. Thus it will serve very well as accommodation if you come by train or by bus. Kind staff, a very nice atmosphere and a fresh interior. The breakfast buffet is included in the hotel price, but if you are a hostel guest (or if you just randomly drop in from the street as I did, in because I wanted to have a little bit of a morning luxury) you can buy the buffet for 79kr. I think it was totally worth every "krona". The buffet was very good; there were a large assortment of muesli and yoghurt, different types of bread, cheese, jam etc. Also boiled eggs and fresh fruits. And what was probably the best part: you could make your own Belgian-style waffles! And of course add some nutella, peanut butter, whipped cream etc. to it. Yum! Tea, coffee, hot chocolate and juice are included. In addition, they also offer gluten free breakfast. It's the swedish way - no discrimination. The atmosphere was cosy and calm. They also have a shelf full of books if you like to read while enjoying your "frukost". Very good breakfast buffet for a reasonable price at a good location!
