Hotell Gyllene Hornet

Wonderful hotel! Stayed here one night after a concert at Dalhalla. The hotel was perfect: great rooms, great breakfast and really helpful and amazing staff. Strongly recommend. + you can charge your electric car + clean, spacious + staff + location - beautiful + very easy booking - the only bad thing was that you could hear clearly through the walls, so my partner couldn’t sleep because the couple in the other room were doing… stuff

It was a really nice stay for us while driving north through Dalarna, and Tällberg is a very cute village. The hotel had everything we needed and a great kids' playroom where we could safely leave the kids and sit just outside near the bar. We didn't really have any complaints since it met what we needed in terms of accommodation. However, although a bit harsh, I do understand some of the reviews describing this as more of a hostel. The rooms are very spartan inside, the furniture and fittings could definitely do with a refresh. Considering the price and the options in terms of food etc, I believe that the hotel is trying to act more like a luxury hotel than they actually are. As an example, the restaurant served up food that would be ok at a local pub, but prices were on the higher end.

We celebrated a 60 year birtfay here and had dinner buffé. It was really good and worth every penny. The staff were proffessional and nice. Unfortunally we did not stay at this hotel, but we probably will next time we want to have a weekend in Dalarna.

Got one of the 2 rooms in a separate building. Apart from the hotel, there are also small cottages suitable for families. |The breakfast buffet was good and in good weather it’s possible to sit outside on the small terrace. |In the evening we ate a burger which was a disappointment. It didn’t feel home made, but more like it had come straight from the freezer to the frying pan.|Location is excellent and the view over the big lawns beautiful. There’s a big terrace, where guests can overlook the nice views. One afternoon a deer was crossing the car park.

We only stayed here one night while visiting Dalhalla for a concert. Nice staff at the reception and bar and the room as expected (simple) but with good sound proofing. Wifi was rather bad in the room but worked fine in the reception area. The breakfast was ok but watering down the orange juice is not ok and the staff could be more active clearing the tables.||||They do have a large indoor pool are that looked nice and they also have a spa area that looked promising. Probably a good hotel if you are travelling with kids as they have a large indoor play area.||||All in all I would still consider staying here again, you get what you pay for.

On our 3-days journey to Dalarna we stayed at this hotel and made trips from here in the neighborhood. It was a nice hotel and the staff was very friendly. The breakfast was OK! It was situated on the countryside with some other hotels, so we had hardly anything to do at the evenings. They had a restaurant and a bar, but maybe it should be better to stay in a town, but on the other way; if you want to stay away from the hustle and bustle this is the place.

A good choice for families with children. Playground a small sport court pool tables gym swimming pool ans so on. Nice surroundings and a view over the great lake Siljan. The rooms and the interior aren't that special but I'll still recommend a stay if you pass through the area.

I went with my family. The room was ok. A standard Hotell room I guess. Coat hanger was loose. And shower head could be a lot cleaner. Good beds and for the little one was a traveling bed. Afternoon Fika was great. Good coffee and biscuits. The cake with almonds was 5 star :). There weren’t a lot of people using the pool so it was great for the baby. I could really recommend the pool after the breakfast. Perfect. The 3 course dish included in our package was great , but I’m more of a buffet person. The staff told me the buffets are back again next week for the summer. :) All in all an ok place to go to. Oh and don’t forget to go to the play room with the children. A nice room for them to run around and climb and so in.
