Spent three nights at St. Clemens with family of five. Best hotel experience ever - with considerable difference. The staff were both super friendly and relaxed (in the right way) at the same time, the hotel and it’s garden were so achingly beautiful and the overall vibe of the hotel and the people in there (both staff and guests) was so heartwarmingly lovely. And yes, this hotel has ruins of a medieval church at its back garden, which is a hard feat to top. Location is also superb, right in the old town and just a couple of minutes walk to seashore (thru botanical gardens no less).||We stayed in the suite, which was - just like the entire experience - superb for our needs. Plenty of space, and yes, achingly beautiful interior in the bones of couple of hundred of years of building.||All in all, if you like places with character, warmth and old style charm (with all modern comforts), St. Clemens is the place for you. We’ll be going back there next summer.
