I just returned from a three night stay at Hotell Stella for a conference. considering the price the hotel was fine. The room (single comfort) was spacious enough for one person and was clean and tidy. The bathroom was however too small. During the night it was quiet and undisturbed and the hotel is close to the university which was good for my stay. The city was a bit further, ca. 20 min walk. The breakfast which is included was really not good. I ate there the first day, but chose the two other days to go to the shop across the road for breakfast instead. The bread was boring at best and the display of cold cuts unappetizing, furthermore the orange juice was not actual orange juice, but a concentrate mixed with water. It was bitter and downright unpleasant. The check in procedure was rather unclear and because I booked the hotel through an agency I didn't get the necessary information for self check in and had to call them the morning of my arrival to get them to send it to me. in conclusion: This hotel is good for a single traveler staying for a couple of nights who either doesn't eat breakfast or is fine with buying from the shop across the road.

It is a really nice small hotel with delicious breakfast. The host was very kind and helpful. The rooms are clean. It is in a great location, close to shops and not very far from the museums and attractions in the city.

Big enough room, it takes a bit of time to walk to the main station. Would recommend if you don't mind the walk.

Clean and comfortable hotel. Quite a large bedroom. Breakfast was perfectly adequate.|Doesn't have 24 hour reception staff, but instructions had been sent with access code. As promised our room key was left on the front desk.|Convenient location just 5 minute walk from Uppsala centre.|Very happy with our stay, considering the price paid.

Quaint hotel that's fresh and clean, with friendly accomodating staff and a great breakfast too. I highly recommend Hotell Stella.

My family and I stayed at the Stella Hotels. We really enjoyed our stay here. We were given instructions on the phone where to get the key. The staff was very friendly. The room was spacious, cozy and, most importantly, clean. The room has shampoo and conditioner, hair dryer. Nice bed. A calm, quiet atmosphere. Quite a good and varied breakfast. Close to the center. I recommend this hotel

Though the room was nice, the management and staff were simply horrible!!!!! There was a seemingly nice man who received the telephone calls. I thought I would be early and asked if I could check in early. He said it would cost 100 sek. I said fine but due to travel delays I was there at 3:30pm. The room which had been verified to cost 900sek suddenly became 1300 upon arrival plus the 100 for being early which I then wasn't. I argued about the price, said I could send him a copy of the 900 sek price he promised but this was over the telephone because he couldn't be bothered to run the place himself. Instead, there was a bumbling fool who could not speak swedish at all and his english was terrible. After a proper argument on the telephone, we agreed to pay 900 sek as promised. The fool at reception did not know how to even use the credit card machine. He made repeated calls to his 'boss' in order to receive payment. He then said all was fine and paid for so I went to my room. As stated the room was fine for the money. Later my friend received this message from the 'boss': See the phtotos below. Rude and insulting!||||So apparently my card was fumbled by the idiot running the hotel and I got the blame for try to 'cheat'them out of money. There was PLENTY of money on my card and if I were you, I would not bother to go there spend an extra 10 sek and go to a professional establishment.||||My friend paid the room and I then transfered money to her so we worked it out but BEWARE of this hotel!!!!!!
