I was in the hostel for one night. It was perfect for the price of 55 SEK (without sheets and blankets). The room was small, a little bit old but had everything, I needed and was very clean. At the lobby, you can buy some snacks and drinks which aren't overpriced. I couldn't imagine more friendly personal! Would definitely recommend for hikers etc.!

Quite adequate hostel standard. Very nice staff. Word to the wise: Do not keep food or drink in the pantries and fridges in the guest kitchen. It will get stolen, eaten and otherwise interfered with.😱 Bring a cooler and lock it in Your room. Were it not so, overall grade would be higher.

This hotel is located right outside of the old town. They offer free parking ( limited spaces). First come first serve. You could walk to town about 10-15 minutes. Highly recommend to walk around the lake (sea). Very quiet and beautiful path way with lots swans and birds. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. The room is small but unbelievable clean and tidy. We also like the coffee and bakeries here. It's beyond our expectations.

My family stayed here for just one night. We are two adults and two adult children. We had a family room that was fantastic. It was two spacious rooms. The outer room had two twin beds and two Murphy style bunk beds. The main room had two twin beds pushed together and a small table and four chairs like a little dining set. The bathroom was the largest and fanciest of all the hotels we stayed at on our tour of Sweden. It was so wonderful for the four of us to have space from each other without the cost of two rooms.||The breakfast was wonderful. It had a wide variety of cereals, breads, yogurts, meats, cheeses, and drinks. ||Parking is limited so be sure to get there early. We arrived right at 3 pm and there were 2 cars in the lot. The next door parking lot was free when we came but it looked like its normally a paid lot.||It’s a 20 minute walk to town and another 10 to the castle. It’s a flat easy walk or a short bike ride. The hotel rents bikes.

We were really happy about this stay. First of all it was very affordable. And really nice looking. 😄 It was called low-price hotel, as to my understanding, being synonymous to cheaper, "not that good" standard perhaps. But so was not case and we are quite picky bout standards. ||The rooms were fresh o good looking. Nice interior. Perhaps not the newest bathroom interior but still clean and fresh. Breakfast was included and it had freshly baked buns and breads, all kinds of yoghurt, Swedish "Filmjölk", porage made out of rolled oats, different sorts of jam, cheese etc etc. Hot beverage and so forth. So overall a good breakfast. ||The staff was very kind as well. Don't miss out!!

Reasonably priced. Clean. Good breakfast. Only 10 minutes walk into the centre of Kalmar. Handy for the bridge over to Oland and has free parking. Great budget option for high season. Our room was quite small with two single beds and a bit airless, and had a shared bathroom.

Nice clean rooms. Private toilet, although extremely small. Even though the room didn't have a private shower there were plenty just across the corridor. Breakfast was also good and fresh, although there were no warm food like bacon, pancakes or scrambled eggs. Biggest downside was the sound isolation between the rooms which was very bad, you could basically hear everything. Also the room was a bit too hot (it was a warm night though).
