Hotell Turistgården i Simrishamn AB

A wonderful greeting with a tray of hot drinks and pastries to help our selves from. We were in room 9 which compared to every other room we had stayed in during our week in Sweden was rather on the cool side, but lovely and spacious. Breakfast was delicious and the staff very helpful.

The breakfast is excellent, the location quiet and central. Spotlessly clean. The rooms however are hit and miss. We did not like the first room we were given (dark, no view, in the middle of a parking lot). We asked to change and the non-English speaking staff was not helpful. Several phone calls to the owner and some confusion ensued, and finally we got an upstairs room - tiny, no view, but better. It was off-season, mid-week, and hotel did not appear busy. For the price, we did not feel it was a great value.

I was spending a weekend with the Storytelling Network of Sweden at Österlen museum in Simrishamn and was lucky to get a single room at the Turistgården just on the other side of the street. It was so tasteful with beautiful things and delicate shades of colours in every place, I enjoyed it so much. The bed was very comfortable which meant a lot to me as I have arthrosis in my knees. The breakfast was delicious and the hostess Ann Ask was very kind and helpful. I really recommend this accomodation and would be happy to come back some day. Thank you! Karin Ferry, Umeå, Sweden

This hotel has a beautiful rose garden at the back. Fairly spacious rooms, good breakfast and it's well located off a main road. A ten minute walk would bring you to a charming small harbour. The St Nicholas church is rather impressive. Simrishamn.

I brought 15 cyclists here and the rooms were good. We got takeaway food and ate it in the garden, the staff were very helpful and provided wine glasses etc. The hotel is hard to spot from the street but it is in the main street. Manager was most helpful and it was a pleasure to deal with her and to stay here.

Very friendly atmosphere.Owners/staff extremely helpful. Lovely breakfasts. Although in the middle of town, rooms were totally quiet. Bicycles for hire at a very moderate rate. Wonderful rose garden where breakfast can be had, weather permitting.In all, a very suitable |point of departure when exploring Österlen.

Nice and clean family hotel. Excellent and friendly staff. Good breakfast with a great variety of food. Pleasant breakfast room facing a rosegarden on one side|The hotel is situated in centre of town, reasonably good parking space.

Very nice and peaceful place. Excellent service and friendly staff. The rose garden has to be seen!|We use it like a base for a bike trips arround. Would like to highly recomend. It is really a wonerful piece of earth! :)
