I’ve used Hotel Tonight in the past without any issues. This past stay I’ve had a horrible experience. I stayed at the Kimpton Glover Park Hotel in DC area. Under the “need to know,” it says “may be subjected to fees,” which is still unclear on the website.
I have a charge on my card for $99.12 and another charge for $3.30. I called the hotel, and they stated it was a resort fee, and will not send me over an invoice, because I didn’t check out in person. Which is shocking due to the fact they do not offer any amenities other than from 5-6pm a glass of wine. Then I contacted Hotel Tonight via email, Edy said $12.90 was due to the minibar charges. I had one bottle of water, which was $3.00. I also had an additional charge on my card for $3.30, which I thought was the mini bar.
After doing some research on the Glover Park Hotel, I should have only been charged, for 75.00 of fees not $99.12. I stayed a total of 3 days; each night was $25 per night. The $25 fee was never clearly shared with me before booking, nor was told checking in.
Working with Charlie and Edy, they will not send over the $99.12 invoice charges. I do not recommend using Hotel tonight due to lack of info about “maybe subject to fees” because it can be any amount.
