My first time coming here! I had picked out a dish from their online menu that I wanted to try but it wasn't up to date there was a different menu in person so keep that in mind. I ordered the peach bourbon cocktail and butternut squash risotto. They were great! Wanted to try a dessert but too full. Great service and atmosphere.

A quiet Thursday night before Friday, with a friendly server, a welcoming owner, and a sleek, modern interior. The music matches my taste—alternative tunes setting the perfect vibe. The cocktail is spot on, and the dish is just as good. The calm, laid-back atmosphere makes it easy to relax, and I can already tell I’ll be coming back soon. It’s the kind of place that draws you in.

October 4th, 2024 Hubby and I have a "shared" birthday dinner every year. The dinner falls right after my birthday and right before his. After hearing some glowing reviews about Hound and Bottle, we felt a personal connection. The restaurant's commitment to using locally sourced ingredients and their cozy, neighborhood vibe resonated with us, and we decided to make it our destination for our shared birthday dinner. Stepping into Hound and Bottle, we were enveloped in a contemporary casual, almost pub-style atmosphere, setting the perfect tone for our evening. We were seated with menus and water and greeted by Cat, our server. She was personable and very charming. We both ordered drinks, although being a full bar, there were a couple of items they didn't have. A full-service bar should have Kahluaha or at least some sort of coffee liquor. If any patron wanted a Cosmopolitan drink, a proper Cosmopolitan is made with cranberry juice, which they did not have. My drink was a made-up Cosmopolitan; it was a good drink, a little strong for me but tasty overall. My hubby had a Martini and seemed to enjoy it. Onward to our dinners. We split a Caesar salad, it was unbelievably good, it really was! Although the menu was a little more limited, it was clear that each dish was carefully curated and executed. Sometimes, a smaller menu can mean that the kitchen can focus on perfecting a few dishes rather than spreading themselves too thin. More isn't always better; it's just more, and often, restaurants cut corners to keep costs down. I decided to have their dinner special. It was a tough choice, with a veggie burger and crab cakes staring me down, but butternut squash risotto won me over. And I was thrilled to have it. It was so flavorful, and the flavor just popped. Hubby saw the words griddled pork chop and was set on that. Although I wish we had caught this and inquired about the discrepancy in the menu, it was a little confusing why it states griddled pork chop with sweet potato bread pudding, creamed savoy cabbage, and warm marmalade glaze. Aside from the pork chop, it had regular grilled sweet potatoes, which were delicious, but the dinner did NOT have sweet potato bread pudding, creamed savoy cabbage, or any type of glaze. His dinner came with corn on the cob. That's on us; it's too late now to say something. I can only hope that other patrons who may be interested in this but receive something else inquire about this discrepancy. That said, although he stated the dinner was really good, thirty-seven dollars was a tad high for this meal. Overall, our evening went well. Hound and Bottles is located in the Manette area at 2109 E. 11th St., Bremerton, WA. Hound and Bottle is across the street from Saboteur Bakery and within walking distance of The Manette Bridge and the Boat Shed Restaurant. Parking can be dicey. As far as I know, street parking is the only option. Since I don't frequent that area, I cannot give my opinion on when are good and bad times to get parking. Here is another excellent way to support a locally owned small business. Aside from the confusion of the menu, I hope the owner corrects the menu or tells customers that the menu has changed. Our server was great! Please don't forget, Be kind to ALL living things 🌲🐾 Happy Fall and Happy Halloween 👻🎃

I’m vegan, and I’ve been to Hound & Bottle several times, and it’s been fine. None of the food has been exceptionally good or bad. And to me, the price is too high for the food to just be “fine.” The mocktails are always delicious, and one time they made me a Pimm’s cup. I’ve also sipped a few of my family’s cocktails and they’re quite good. The best thing I had was a vegan sloppy Joe with chickpeas a few years ago. The vegan Caesar salad is good. They seem to have a housemade veggie burger on the menu year round, but it’s on a brioche bun so if you want to get it vegan it just comes without a bun… I had it once with the bun and even then I found it pretty dry and underwhelming, especially for the price. ($18 with a pickle and a handful of their thick fries [the fries are tasty and vegan]). We went yesterday and I got a squash appetizer without the crème fresh, and half the squash was undercooked (like so hard I couldn’t put a fork through it). I told the server and they comped the dish, but even the part that was edible wasn’t that great, so I didn’t really want a replacement. My sister likes the steak, she’s had it twice and the steak is cooked well, the sauce is good, but the carrots have been undercooked both times. She agrees that the drinks are better than the food. She also says the desserts are good. My mom thought the crab cakes were delicious, her Brussels sprouts were not undercooked. The people who work there are lovely, and it’s a good vibe, but it might just be a drinks & desserts spot for me.

We're from out of town, but every year or so we make it to Bremerton, and a meal at Hound + Bottle has become a "must" for us each trip. There's craftsmanship in each dish and drink. The menu is tightly curated and changes seasonally with unique creations and superb spins on classics. The seasonal potpie is comfort year-round, there's sure to be an indulgent vegetarian option, and the specialty cocktails are always a treat. The space has a compact, intimate vibe that welcomes classy to casual. We've had so many wonderful interactions with the staff, not just great service, but also fun conversation. Each of our visits to H+B has been as unique as the menu, and I look forward to it every time!

Google
Very dog friendly! Cute little place with a nice cocktail/wine selection. The food was good. Steak was cooked nicely, and we really enjoyed the sweet potato side. We ordered a burger for our dog (it was her birthday), and it was nicely prepared. The pot pie was good, but I did wish for the vegetables to be a bit softer and the crust to be all around and not just on top. I'd still order it again, though. Overall, it was a great experience, and I'm sure we will be back again!

Google
Not a lot of selection on the food, and what they do have doesn't really wow for the price. To be clear the food is not bad. Good atmosphere and the people are very nice.

My favorite restaurant in all of Kitsap! Love this place! The burger is my favorite. Little bit on the pricey side, but what isn’t anymore? Best cocktails too!

Yelp
My first time trying this place was on a Wednesday. It was easy to get seated at 5pm but by 6pm the place got a lot busier. The food was good! I enjoyed my mocktail and we ordered 3 different dishes that were all pretty good. I ordered the vegetable pot pie, my friends ordered the chicken dumplings and mussels.

Yelp
Okay, this is our new destination place. The food was absolutely amazing. The service was great. Everyone was kind and jovial. And in a great mood you could tell they enjoyed working where they do. The ambiance was great for a first date. Or meeting up with friends, which is what we did..

Yelp
(3.5/5 stars) My boyfriend and I stopped by and were the first visitors in one evening and there was only one other couple that came in after us during our meal, so don't know what it's like when it gets crowded. We ordered the veggie burger and the HB fries. The burger wasn't bad and had more flavor than some beyond and impossible burgers I've had, but the fries were meh and a bit disappointing to me. The inside and decor was neat, but the food felt too pricey for what it was.

Yelp
We absolutely LOVE this place! Stop in on a Saturday evening and more likely than not you will find us at a table enjoying life. The food is fantastic - whether you're a meat person (the H&B burger is a staple, and they currently have a NY Strip Steak and Frites plate that is my go to); they have a great clam sauté or oysters on the half shell, and vegan and vegetarian selections. Though not in season, their delicata squash with beet purée is a favorite of ours and we are looking forward to Fall for its return to the menu. Eclectic decor with a playlist that never disappoints, the staff is amazing and never rushes anyone out. Bring your dog (we've brought ours a few times) or enjoy the puppers that others bring in. This is the one place I recommend to everyone in the area. So try it out!

Julianne C.

Yelp
The atmosphere is really the main thing here, because for us although we enjoyed our time the food was not up to our expectation. But still we had good time, cocktails were nice and the prices were reasonable. Only thing is it gets crowded in the evening.

Yelp
When I initially looked over the menu I was a bit disappointed their summer cocktail list looked so focused on fruit and worried it might tend too sweet. However, we got their frozen orange margarita and the cherry sling to try. They were so well balanced, fresh and delicious, we were pleasantly surprised! That focus continued for the rest of the meal. Dishes were well prepared, fresh and seasonal, celebrating the last weeks of summer. The wait staff were great, the setting appealing. Can't wait to come back again!

Yelp
Some of the best cocktails I've had in Washington. And the food was amazing too! Will definitely be back and bring our pup!

Yelp
Wonderful cozy restaurant. The staff was very friendly and not overly attentive, they were just right. The seafood boil special was delicious! Very nice ted wine list of all imported Italian wines. A great thing for us is people bring in their dogs (on leash). We loved it! We will be back for sure!

Lisa B.

Yelp
Atmosphere was nice, small building. We just came for a couple appetizers and left which the waitress seemed confused about. The oysters were fresh and tasted good. The fries were pricey for what it was.
google avatar

Brian G.

Yelp
The oysters were clean and delightful! The Dungeness Crab Cakes, potatoes, and peas were amazing! The specialty cocktails were worth it! The staff were all very accommodating and polite! I wish I found this place earlier. Dog friendly. Well worth visiting!

Yelp
. When you walk in the smell of wonderful food hits you, they have a chic warm restaurant with a great cocktail list, sparkling wines, and wine . Their food menu is short and to the point all the best selections. . Appetizer was the Oysters + Dungeness Crab cakes Oysters: loved the freshness ! There was no broken shell pieces to break your teeth on . Crab cakes : phenomenal ! They were lightly seared and cooked to perfection. They melted in your mouth and had so much flavor. Entrees: New York steak: with soft pumpkin polenta, romesco sauce, wilted lacinato kale and pine nuts Grilled Pork Chop : with maple sweet potato mash, roasted apple and pickled red cabbage We loved it here very personal and intimate ! Also, the service was phenomenal, but there was not one time that my water glass was not filled and everyone was like a family. They were checking on other tables which was amazing.

Yelp
We are staying in Manette trying local places. Last night we went to the Hound and Bottle and are extremely happy we did. The welcome was sincere, the music was pleasant and the server was very good. The menu seemed adventurous with creative and unique listings. I had a pasta with roasted eggplant and a vegan pesto-like sauce that was very creative and excellent. My wife had a pot pie type dish that was incredible. The drinks were equally unique and wonderful. I had an Aquavit martini and my wife had a spritzer that were both delicious. These people really are innovative and creative. I highly recommend the Hound and Bottle!

Yelp
Have to say it's all GOOD. In the top 5 of any burger I've ever eaten. Nice setting inside but patio looked cute except for the drizzle (no surprise there). Attentive wait staff and decent drinks. Big fan of eating in Italy as the bill is not automatically dropped after clearing the table. Especially if there is no queue.

Yelp
Wow this place came through in a clutch! Stopped by a nearby seafood place but they were unexpectedly closed for repairs. Total fail! But lucky to find this place just around the corner. Stuff tried: Dungeness crab cakes: really enjoyed these! Good amount of crab to batter ratio! Sauce it sits on is so good and the potato salad and asparagus were a nice combo Manila clams: lots of leaks! The clam liquor on the bottom of the pot is great to be sopped up by the crusty baguette provided! Vegetable pot pie: excellent pie crust topping! Veg are cut chunky and are great in the cream sauce. Actually i think if you mixed the manila clam dish with the inside of this pot pie you would have a killer clam chowder! Fries: these were more like jojos than fries. Not a huge jojo fan but these were kind of perfect! Perfect amount of crispy to soft inside ratio! Staff was really great and friendly! They do have indoor and outdoor seating, although the outdoor seating just has a view of the alley. Worth a try if you are in Bremerton!

Yelp
Interesting place to say the least... Let's start with the atmosphere and seating. Small venue with ok seating, water filtered and very clean, music was from the 80's. Now the food: prices were above the norm (42 for a T-bone). Menu had a small selection (which is a good thing). I'm impressed with the the speed and the device. I recommend coming out and trying this place but warn you that the prices are a little steep.

Yelp
We had a couple burgers, sorry no photo, we were to hungry and forgot to capture them. Anywho, friendly staff and a simple menu. We did arrive during a fireworks festival so it's hard to rate based on special circumstances. Regardless, this location is a great and we will most def be back! 5stars! Rock on H&B.

Janet H.

Yelp
Cute casual place with good cocktails & wine. The food is not casual - it is delicious!!

Jon N.

Yelp
Was looking forward to the clam dish, but I arrived pretty late in the evening and they were out. Had a great burger instead. Very good and the potato wedges were some of the best I have ever had.

Christopher C.

Yelp
Incredible food. Oysters were amazing. Nice atmosphere and staff. Check it out as I don't think you will be disappointed.

Yelp
Such a cozy intimate spot for craft cocktails or dinner. Elevated, not stuffy. We shared several appetizers and main courses with no disappointment. Service was fantastic in spite of it being during a weekend dinner rush. Definitely will return.

Yelp
Just the type of place we were looking for! H&B is an experience that must be seen and tasted. This was our first visit and we will return. We didn't have any of the craft cocktails expertly dispersed by the "Mixologist", but we did witness his work in person and everyone was pleased with their selections as far as we could tell.....we will experience next time. Dining menu was seasonally limited, but still packed a punch for each dish. We ordered the cheese board to start with....my goodness, that was a great spread! Three cheese (Goat Brie, Oregon Blue and another soft cheese whose name escapes me right now - but excellent). The board also came with pickled red onion slices, marinated fig and marinated golden raisins...THE BEST! Speaking of best, the fresh Peach with Burrata was the ultimate summer salad. Now, our proteins....O.M.G. ....we had the H&B burger; cooked to perfection without asking, thick and juicy! We also had the chop...one of the best tasting pork chops EVER (well outside of my own kitchen). Once again, cooked to perfection! All of our dishes were seasoned very well without all the fluff you get at restaurants that try too hard. This place is perfection! Outdoor seating was ample, only a few seats at the bar and the rest of the indoor seating is cozy but spacious. Definitely a place to visit on the Kitsap peninsula....I will go back again and again....this is our new "spot"!!!
google avatar

Jon P.

Yelp
We're new to the area as of this summer, and being foodies, have been on the hunt for new favorite places on the Kitsap Peninsula... especially places that are dog friendly. Well, Hound and Bottle is quite simply our new favorite spot! These folks are so incredibly friendly and run a wonderful little restaurant and bar in charming Manette. We're so glad we settled in this neighborhood so that we can enjoy them more often! Yummy food and yummy drinks and a menu that rotates in dishes seasonally, the restaurant offers indoor seating as well as options outside on their deck. They have Thirsty Thursday specials - often a martini - as well as a special dish on Fridays. Best yet - they're not only Dog Friendly, they're Dog Welcoming! They sincerely want to see your well-behaved pup and will treat them like family, complete with a water bowl. We're so happy we found this wonderful establishment!
google avatar

Jackie B.

Yelp
The service was great, the cocktails were quite yummy but a bit pricey. The food Wa very good!
google avatar

Yelp
Potato wedges plain/boring and better at a grocery store deli.. Sardines and crackers, meh. Good, friendly service.
google avatar

Misty A.

Yelp
This place looked cute and the reviews were decent so we figured we would stop while in Bremerton visiting my parents. My husband got the pork chop which was very good but the butternut squash side was cold. I got the crab cakes which for $36 were the smallest crab cakes ever. Not only were they small but they were burnt on the outside and my side was also cold. I ended up sending my meal back and not getting anything else. We both wanted martinis but they didn't offer any top shelf vodka like ketel one or grey goose, their top shelf was Tito's..No thank you!! We tried some brand vodka that we never heard of before and it was okay but not what I would choose again. Ultimately our $70 bill plus tip left us hungry and wanting a good cocktail. Overall this place isn't very good and overpriced by about $10 a meal. A pork chop meal should be in the $20-25 range not $35. I really need to get in the habit of taking pics of my bad food not just the good stuff so people can see I'm not exaggerating.
google avatar

Yelp
What can I say? The food, the relaxed, ambience, the food, the people, did I say the food?! Hound and bottle is an absolute must try. The food is fresh, made with seasonal ingredients, and never fails to disappoint.
google avatar

Ashley C.

Yelp
I loved date night here! Me and my fiance bought tickets to their Shellfish Social and it was such a treat. Most of the dishes on the event menu where oysters and they were perfect. All of the food items where purchased locally so that made me really happy. The owners and staff seem really passionate about their business and craft and it shows. Great vibe at Hound & Bottle. We will definitely be making this our regular spot.
google avatar

Megan S.

Yelp
Had my first visit to H&B recently - loved the ambiance and service was absolutely fantastic!! That being said, H&B is not your average bar scene. Rather it's an intimate, warm space offering an upscale experience, unique specialty food items and handcrafted artistic cocktails. Where friends and neighbors gather to share stories, enjoy a nightcap and build community. The menu is limited and seemingly pricey for this neighborhood watering hole but the culture they are creating right here in Manette is so unique and truly something you MUST experience. If you're expecting 'pub food' or an expansive beer menu you'll be sorely disappointed. If on the other hand you're looking for quality ingredients, friendly faces and a special place for girls night, date night and meeting up with friends JUST GO you won't regret it. We didn't order food this go around but we'll absolutely be back!
google avatar

Yelp
What a delight to visit the town I was born in so long ago to discover a wonderful, casual, restaurant and bar in East Bremerton! My husband had what he called one of the most delicious burgers of his life, and I had delicious gnocchi smothered in a rich brisket-based sauce. We started with a field greens salad, All of which came from local growers. The best part for us was delicious Italian wines by the glass. The owners are charming, helpful, and we can't wait to return. The visiting husky was a bonus.

Yelp
Hound and Bottle is a hidden gem in the heart of Manette. Their menu changes on a regular basis as they continue to out do themselves with every meal they cook, drink they invent, and every delicious dessert they serve. The staff is friendly and the great food pared with satisfying customers serves make for a great dining experience!
google avatar

Yelp
Great service, amazing food. No wait. Decor is super cute, a modern minimalist vibe. Dogs allowed, it was everything you could ask for highly recommended.
google avatar

Yelp
This has to be one of the best spots in the Bremerton area! The attention to detail truly makes it a special place. We loved all the unique flavors on the cheese board. The pork chop was a generous portion cooked wonderfully. We ended our meal with the honeyed rice pudding with rhubarb sweet preserves and just wow! It really does make a memorable date night.

Yelp
Was excited to try here. It's very cute. The service is OUTSTANDING. Everyone is very accommodating, attentive, and plain nice. The atmosphere is great. Even the choice of music is good. It's not very expensive, but dinner for three of us with no alcoholic drinks was $150, which seemed really high for the dinner we got. Now the food. It sounds really interesting and looks really good. It was very disappointing. We ordered one Green salad to share. The greens were beautiful and fresh. There were golden currents and nuts which were great. The dressing was light, but should have had a spark more vinegar or acid. We wanted to munch on bread and they happily brought 4 little nicely toasted slices, although they don't provide it typically. Really, some excellent bread would have been great. We ordered the roasted pork with kale and apples. It was tasty, not exceptional. The pork was shredded which was okay but not what I'd prefer. The apple was delicious as was the sweet potato pancake. (Latkes!). Kale was good, too. Not a lot of meat. We also ordered the special 38 oz ribeye with bone. There was a huge bone (huge!) which was kind of nice to chew on but mostly covered with fat. The meat was almost half fat. It had a herb topping which overpowered the beef, which was okay bc the beef was not really all that tasty or well seasoned. Dessert was cheesecake with a whiskey fig glaze that looked like caramel. It was way over baked. The bottom crust was so hard my fork had trouble cutting into it. The side was so dark it had black on the edge, and it was more an Italian style than NY so it was not at all sweet. Now I'm known in my family for not liking sweet desserts, but this was really unsatisfying . In fact, the three of us didn't even finish the slice. I'm sad. I wanted to love it. It's so cute. The people are so nice. The food was very disappointing.

Yelp
I went for takeout and wanted to try the Crab Cakes because I had heard great things about them. They were so delicious! The crab cakes were a great size, the sauce that came with it was super tasty and the potatoes were perfectly seasoned and delicious. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

Monica S.

Yelp
Cute atmosphere, service is excellent, food was good but I shouldn't have ordered a vegan burger, it'll never be the real thing.

Yelp
Brought our dog in to the restaurant who was welcomed inside and the staff were very nice to her. The house martinis were fantastic and the food was quite good.

Yelp
Excellent drinks, food and service! Great music playing and nicely decorated!! I Give it a 10!!

Yelp
This is probably a unique review because my husband and I don't drink, so their extensive cocktail menu isn't taken into account. This is a great place to take someone you want to impress, particularly if you drink. Okay, so the cheese plank. We would go back for just the cheese plank. Wow!!! The cheese itself was incredible but then the 'cracker' is made there and is more like a loaf of unleavened bread!!! It's topped with a fancy cheese something and is super flavorful! And the pickled everything was wonderful!!!!! A great pairing. Honestly we would come back just for this. It was definitely our favorite part and we kept eating it through the meal. The steak was mind blowing!!! I love it when I order "as rare as possible" and actually get a rare steak. The portions were good too. Also, to be honest, I didn't know kale could taste this good! I might've liked it even more than the steak and thankfully there was plenty of both. The risotto was not bad just boring. The carrots were yummy but the rest was just a lot of nothing-- there wasn't much intrigue to the flavors. We normally don't mind dishes without meat but this lacked some pizzaz. Our waitress seemed like she just didn't like us? She never smiled or said anything that wasn't strictly polite. I'm totally not someone who says "women need to smile all the time" but to not smile at all when someone smiles at you? Or when someone says thank you? She was just frigid I guess. We are kind of boring and she looked pretty 'cool' so maybe that's why? We just didn't match the scene? I even caught her glaring at us a couple times from across the room. The ambience is really cool! We liked it overall. However, on the way out, we noticed a photograph of a stark naked woman on the wall. That was super weird and not artistic really. So maybe take it down? It was just random porn for decoration?

Yelp
Absolutely a favorite. Such a special place in our community. With owners (always present) and staff that care. Best variety of delicious & innovative cocktails. With extra attention to the menu. The ambiance is unique and very welcoming. Go here.

Yelp
I was very excited to try Hound + Bottle! It's a small place full of charm. I love the atmosphere. The Ginger Snap was a delightful drink! My husband had the Ernesto H. It was a bit Smokey for my taste. We shared the Beets for an appetizer. The cumin dressing was good but I definitely used the lemon garnish from my drink to brighten it a bit. Cumin and beets are very earthy flavors and the lemon acidity really helped balance the dish. I had the Autumn Pot Pie and my Husband had the Burger. The flavor of the pot pie was exactly what I wanted. I only wished the crust was a bit thicker and there be more veggies chunks. The sauce was incredibly. My husband enjoyed his burger. He only wished there were pickles red onions in place of the raw. He said the whole combo of burger fries and pickle on the side satisfied his craving for a burger. We'll definitely come back and try a few more items on the menu!

Yelp
Great food, really cute and cozy atmosphere, located in manette neighborhood. I would go back for dinner again.

Yelp
Everything was great! Great food and specialty cocktails. The cocktail list is a bit on the sweet side but, the bartender was able to make a drink just for me that wasn't overly sweet. Also I was a little disappointed on the cheese platter. Small sparse cheese amounts with pickled watermelon, onion and unleavened flatbread. The owner Alan stopped the song 1969 by The Stooges in the middle. I stood up and walked outside immediately and had to a cigarette and fume a bit. My girlfriend told me to let it go. I can't :(

Yelp
Great spot to enjoy drinks and small bites with friends. Ambiance inside can be a little loud, but not a big deal, and the patio was ideal for conversations. The house cocktails were unique, Saturn was phenomenal. Also, the not-cocktails you can spike. I added a shot of vodka to the Pom & Ginger Sparkler. Only ordered the gumbo and shared it with my hubby; they split it into two bowls, which was nice! Only downside was the delay in receiving food, our table had gone through two rounds of drinks before food arrived. However, the food was worth the wait.

Yelp
First time eating here, and we will be coming back. Small interior with a comfortable feel. The staff were all smiles, and extremely attentive and engaging. The waitress gave no hint that our special request as an appetizer, (maple sweet potato mash) from another dish be added. Two staff even asked if it met our approval, which it most certainly did. The crab cakes were amazing, not very large, but did not have a bunch of needless fillers either. My date had the Autumn Pot Pie which was fresh and very good.

Yelp
Bremerton is in need of new American restaurants, and Hound and Bottle definitely fits the bill! There's a lot to love and some things that weren't perfect. Pros: - Entree portions were good - Food quality was excellent - Entree flavors were excellent - Our waitress was very accommodating when we brought in our 15-month-old and found us a low top table after a few minutes that worked with their solitary high chair. Our waitress was great in general. - Homemade cracker on cheese plate is awesome -- very buttery and short (in the way shortbread is short) - Crab cakes are mostly crab! Currently served with broccolini and potato salad. Remoulade was delicious. - Pork chop was gigantic. Very juicy, even when ordered well done - Burger was very good - Plenty of vegan/veg selections - No one pooh poohed our casual dress (we had just come from hiking) Cons: - Water never refilled - Other wait staff wasn't as friendly - Despite saying family friendly on their website, this definitely did not seem like a kid-friendly place. And that is totally fine! I just would have preferred our expectations been set correctly. - They only had one high chair, and it was beat up and we had to clean it. But at least they had one! - Cocktails were only ok. Almost as if they were almost great but never made it. For example, the lemon bomba was too sweet for a mezcal and citrus drink. - Cheese board was miniature in portion. Delicious items, but should have gotten 2x what was presented. Even looked measly on the board. - Clams were somewhat bland - Very small with few tables indoors and on the patio - Not a lot of low tops... mostly high tops All in all worth a try, but set your expectations accordingly. Good for dates or with girlfriends.

Yelp
Right off the bat the atmosphere makes me feel like I'm in Ballard. Lovely decor, it's very inviting and warm. Customer service was great this time (see below). However we did attend once before to wait for a seat with our 6 month old daughter, and the waitress was a bit rude and I could tell they weren't excited about kids so we left. Drink was excellent, I got the tequila one (forgot what it's called, on the top half of menu). Food was not great overall. The bread and cheese platter was the best thing - excellent - however you can't really mess that up. I got the mussels, they were decent and the portions large, side bread was dry though. The fiancée got the Mac and cheese and it was extremely salty. We sent it back twice and it didn't get any better, however the waitress and chef were very accommodating about the issue. I'm sure it was just the batch of cheese sauce they made that day and not representative of their Mac and cheese all the time. Food is pricey, but for the style not too bad. Overall I would come here for drinks with friends for the tasty drinks and nice atmosphere, but not for food.

Yelp
First I appreciate them fitting in a table of 7 people with only a 2 hour notice. That's basically 1/5 of their tables. Ambience and cocktails are a solid 5 stars, the decor and playlist were great! The service and food were 2-3 stars. We tried basically everything; the olives, devilish eggs, cheese plate, pate, wings, cod, hot dogs, squash, pea cakes. None of it had really stands out. The pea cakes were supposed to have poblano, none of which I could taste, the pate had a decent, mild flavor, but was a little gritty. The chocolate coffee mousse at the end was fabulous, though!

Yelp
This place was awesome under its old name and in its former location and chef/owner Alan is keeping the magic flowing in Manette. The night I was there with my friend Andrea, the local newspaper was covering the name-change and the new side-deck. It was practically old home week as a whos-who of local business and politics turned out for dinner and drinks. I often run into Alan at the farmer's market where he's buying local produce for use in the restaurant. Your meal was likely sourced locally, and practically farm to table, especially during farmer's market season (which sadly, just ended). Watch for the Sunday dinners and the Paella parties. They're pricey, but a real treat. Come from across the street at the Weekender with your bottle of wine and be treated like royalty. Watch for the owner of the bakery across the street. I hear he brings gifts of artisan baguettes from time to time. Hound and Bottle is incredible in all the ways a place can be. And the bartenders are top-notch too. Don't leave without dessert!
