House Jardin del Caribe

Great hotel, lovingly furnished and maintained. ☀️ The Owner is communicative and helps with questions. We have had other experiences in Las Terrenas, but will come back to the House Jardin del Caribe at any time 👍🏻 5 stars for this stay ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Marco y Monika

It was a quaint hotel nestled in a neighborhood in the city that was clean and safe. Moderately busy in day and quiet at night. The rooms are quaint, nicely done and with A/C, They cleaned our rooms at arrival so they were fresh! the receptionist and staff were very kind and positive. 6 minutes ride and 15 min walk to beach. My family's 2nd stay there. Parking inside walls of complex.

It is definitely not as Booking.com shows. The small apartments have very bad ventilation and no aircon included. The place is really far from the beach and the neighborhood doesn't look nice at all.. I was walking alone at night without issue but it didn't feel nice. The owners weren't very welcoming, but definitely care about getting money. There are nicer places on the beach for the same price range.

We booked a room from the 2nd to 13th of January. As soon as we arrived we noticed that the location is not very safety. From outside the place looks like a private house, it was quite difficult to find it. ||||When we got inside, the parking wasn't prepare for cars. We found a big ramp that scratched the car. ||||The worse part was inside the apartment, pictures are amazing in Booking and TripAdvisor, but they are completely different from reality. The room is in a very bad conditions as you can see on pictures and the smelling is unbearable / unhealthy if you are an allergic person. ||||It was very disappointing experience. The owner lives in Italy and the person in charge of this place was very rude and aggressive. She didn't accept that the pictures and descriptions are completely false. They keep us the 30% of our money. We definitely will not recommend this place.

I’m going to write this review in English and then in Spanish because I want everyone to know how awesome this place is! If you’re into an authentic experience then please stay here. The staff was so nice and treated us like we were family the whole time. The location was in the middle of a town and not too many tourists. Yes people... it’s DR ... and there are Dominicans! If you’re looking to have an experience with all Americans, Europeans and foreigners and get charged up the wazoo then the resort is about a mile down the road. This hotel offered separate apartments which were spotless and cleaned daily. Each apartment was equipo with everything you could need including a kitchenette and patio area. The neighborhood was very safe and the people of las terrenas were helpful and super friendly... I didn’t feel like I was ever being ripped off. Stay here for good memories :)||Bueno, ahora uno en español pero lo siento porque mi español no está perfecto. Me encanta la experiencia que he tenido en el jardín del caribe en las terrenas. La gente que trabaja allí nos trataron como familia. El Barrio estaba seguro. Deberías quedar aquí si quieres tener una experiencia actual con dominicanos. Los apartamentos están magníficos con todo lo que quieres por dentro. Quiero mover allí! Deberías definitivamente visitar aqui!!! |

The appearance of the place is the positive point, and also good that it's located in a back road. The town's main roads have motorbikers making an infernal noise 24hs a day, even with the curfew.||||Airco should have been included in the price. Since it was not, I decided not to use it and save the USD10. The fan makes the stay slightly more tolerable but mosquitoes abound. Staff is uncapable of giving local tips, I've rented a much cheaper car than suggested by them.

I loved this place. It's beautiful, quite (no loud music around), and the staff is helpful. It's perfect for couples. The only shortcoming is the location. As a solo traveller I didn't like to go back home alone in the night. Neighbourhood seems quite but the street is not well lit and there's no-one around

Well to make this quick review.||||GREAT location for Las Terrenas and not far from beautiful beach ||||CLEAN PLACE, CLEAN BEDS||||may need new decoration in the room like bed covers but over all... ||||This place didn't look very inviting from outside but inside was more than what we expected. ||The place is secure with a lock front gate.||||Our rental was done with booking.com, ||2 bedroom apart. and it was very clean.||THANK you for the Italian guy that cares for the area and owner was very kind too.||||GREAT place for a few nights
