House Minami

A simple but adequate accommodation. Expect no thrills but a basic and nice room for a good price. It feels very local and we always appreciate that. The owners were nice, but not much English is spoken. Still a recommend if you want to stay on Hateruma, which you should! :-)

We arrived with their car from pier in a rainy day, the staffs can not speak English but they were quite nice. Room is very simple and look a bit old. Toilet is outside and shared. You can do nothing on the island if the weather is bad.

All hand made little room made by owner ,, Fridge, microwave, kettle, plates, dryer etc.. they have everything but towels 😅 Owner is kind, the cute fat black cat Kuro-chan is very friendly :-) rest spotless

A neighbor phoned to see if there was room for a walk-in guest. They made space for me in the time it took to walk down the street.||||The place was perfect for an Island Adventure. The next day they had a reservation on the books so I couldn't stay on, so instead they book me another place and negotiated it to the same price as their own.||||Bike rental was made at a moments request. When arriving at night to drop it off, I was immediately ushered to the table with a full family and staff dinner party began filled with food drinks and great conversation for hours. No expectation, no payments, just kind welcoming people sharing peace with new friends.||||What a dream :)

The host was quick to take the payment and then didn’t speak to us or explain where the room building was. Although my husband paid for the most exspensive room, we found that there was no internet and a main light was broken, when my husband asked about that the host said that things like a toilet and internet were “service” and not included in the price, so if we didn’t like it we could leave (and go where on short notice on this tiny island??) So I guess you should feel lucky if you get a toilet and internet and lights after paying for the most exspensive room @_@ Also the staff had left the shower window open when we had arrived so we spent the night with giant spiders, a lizard, and mosquitoes in the room. Please be aware that the “fully equipped kitchen” we paid for also didn’t have a microwave and the AC can only be used for an extra fee.

Very nice people. They come pick you up at the port terminal if you give them your arrival time, and will show you a little bit around on the way to the house. Big and clean house with a terrace, and functional kitchen. Highly recommend this place and 100% would stay there again next time.

初めて、行って 何気なく取った宿。 電話での、オーナーの対応は何も無題なかった。 着いてからのオーナーの息子？の、対応があまりにも 腹立たしく、着いた瞬間、、帰りたくなったわ。 あの物の言い方。 人を、カチンと、来させるような言い方が ほんとにしゃくにさわる。 ここに泊まらなければ もう少し楽しかったかもしれない。 2度といかない。 ここはほんとに止めた方がよい。 宿も小汚ない感じで陰気です。
