5 starts? That's not enough!!! The owner has done a great job and has created a very cozy and welcoming place. The owner is very knowledgeable and supportive. My mom and I attended a perfume making workshop and we loved it! Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience. The collection of perfume samples is great, you can create your basic staple fragrance or go further and experiment a bit! Also, you will not be rushed here! Sometimes you just need more time and more guidance (sorry Steysy, we stole some of your Friday night). I would highly recommend this place if you want to try out your creative skills! I would love to come back

Came for a candle making workshop. It was an incredible experience! The owner is so kind and passionate about what she does. Over two hours, she guides you through the science, art, and fun of candle making. The final result is stunning!! You’ll also have time to design a candle baggie while your product cools. Wine and snacks provided too! Can’t wait to return for more events in the future

This was so fun!! I am a fragrance enthusiast. I have been other to places where you can make your own scent but nothing compares to this class ! It’s a beautiful, welcoming space .I would highly recommend it for a girls night out or a date . The owner is very knowledgeable, attentive and courteous. You will not feel rushed . I totally enjoyed it and would love to go back.

The candle-making class was a fantastic experience! The staff was friendly and helpful, creating a welcoming atmosphere. With plenty of scents to choose from, I loved customizing my own candle. It was fun, relaxing, and the instructors made the process easy. Highly recommend for a creative outing with friends!

We did a candle making workshop and it was great! Such a fun time! Steysy was so helpful before the workshop answering questions about parking and restaurant options. The shop is adorable with Steysy’s creations and items from other local vendors/artists. Steysy provides clean, high quality materials and was so thorough discussing the candle making process. We had a great time for this group activity and I hope to look out for other workshops in the future.

I had an amazing experience today at the House of Art and Craft! My boyfriend surprised me with a Valentine's Day gift--a candle making and flower arrangement workshop. The space was cozy and from the moment we walked in Steysy made us feel right at home. The workshop was hands on activities and allowed for us to express ourself artistically. We were able to craft our own candles with our selected scent. The collaboration with Flower and Vibe was top notch. It added an extra layer of creativity and working closely with your loved one to create a flower arrangement. The flower arrangement was the perfect touch to go with our candles. The cost of the workshop was $180 for both so I'm assuming it's $90/ pp. It's a bit costly, but for the experience it was worth it.

I tried to go here three times and it was always closed. The website said it would be open and the door sign said it should have been open. Very disappointing...

Just did a candle making workshop here yesterday and it was amazing!! I never knew candle making could be so calming and relaxing. Our teacher Pertrina (sp?) was excellent!! She guided my group and I through each step of the candle making process and was so clear, easy to follow and informative! She has a background in education and as a fellow educator, she really broke candle making all the way down and even the chemistry behind it! There are many oils to choose from, and you can even mix a few so long as the combination is roughly 30 grams. You also get to choose whatever jar you like. Lucky for me, there was one chrome jar left on the shelf so I was able to grab that one to use! There was also refreshments, wine, and light snacks served during the workshop which was a great addition with the ticket purchase. Now, this is a newer black owned business and women owed business, so I'm happy to support! The shop itself is very quaint, but has a lot of items for purchase, like other candles, perfumes, jewelry, and scents. It's located in the Speedway in Brookline which has a small lot beside it, but there's street parking if you are lucky or a Community Center parking lot a couple minutes away to park at. Apparently, the owner also does soap making classes which sounds very interesting. I'm already thinking of coming back again sometime in the spring with some more friends! Please go! You won't be disappointed!!
