Great show Shaun Cassidy. Enjoy HOB as all seats are great. We were upstairs in Mezzanine. Did not try the food this time, drinks are a bit pricey but you get the XL cans.

I arrived in Houston this past Thursday evening. I wanted to do something cool on Friday. Stumbled upon OK GO! playing at The House of Blues. Coped a ticket for myself and friend Val. The doors opened at 7pm 🕖 and stood there till the opener started at around 8pm. My friend Val was up since 4am that morning and has been on her feet since. I wish they were more transparent about who was opening for the headliner and state doors open at 7pm and opener starts at around 8pm. The opener brought the energy but the audience really was there for OK Go! After the opener. We waited aimlessly for the main event. We both started to get exhausted from standing and decided to retreat in the dining area behind us. Long behold. It was reserved seating and a shared table will cost us $300.00! We ended up leaning against a wall behind the Sound Engineers. They didn’t us standing behind them and they were the true heroes that kept the show going! Overall it was a good show. Better communication would it made it better!

Google
Thank you HOB for helping my disabled mother find a chair to sit on for the Mammoth show. That was AWESOME and made her night so much easier to enjoy the bands. I will definitely return.

Google
I enjoyed the concert, but just for two people to sit at a table, they charge $300, so we choose to stand. All of the prices inside were ridiculously hi, and unreasonable. I doubt that I'll ever return to this money trap again.

Came for first time with hubby to see Boney James. It was awesome but unfortunately the balcony left seats are not an optimum view and we had to watch the television to our left to see him unless he came to the center of the stage. We also purchased tickets for the restaurant but the menu they had was "limited" unbeknownst to us. The entrance to the facility was extremely hard to find. Not to mention when the venue ended, there was NO ONE to tell us which way to exit and when I say EVERYONE was walking in circles, I'm not exaggerating. We finally came out of the building 3 blocks over from our car. And it is NOT safe to be walking downtown in Houston at night dressed up.

Google
My first visit to the House of Blues Houston. The place is amazing and there's really no bad view (the safety rail on the balcony is in the way). Planning my next trip. If you haven't attended a concert here I recommend it.

Google
First time going last night and it was an awesome experience! Husband and I saw Ocean Valley and the vibes were great. Cozy atmosphere and it didn’t feel like we were on top of people. The only cons I have are the food and bathrooms. The bathrooms downstairs were nice but upstairs the toilets were pretty gross. The food wasn’t great either. For the price I didn’t expect something that seemed like microwaved frozen food. Didn’t hinder my experience though! 🤍 They should also look into making the area more wheelchair accessible. Inside there was a ramp on the side closer to the entrance but not on the opposite side where the elevator is. Just steps/stairs. It didn’t affect me directly but I noticed how it affected others.

Google
I absolutely love the House of Blues Houston. No matter which room you’re in — especially the Peacock Room, my personal favorite — it’s always a super chill vibe with great service and never a bad view. The sound is consistently solid, and I just enjoyed a comedy show at Punchline, which is part of House of Blues, and it was fantastic. Plus, the affordable valet makes the whole night effortless and takes all the guesswork out of parking. One of my favorite spots in the city.

Yelp
Attended this venue for the Waterparks show this past weekend. The VIP supervisor was incredibly kind and accommodating. The service in VIP was amazing and our waitress was incredibly attentive. Bonus points that the show itself was a great time!

Yelp
I was at House of Blues recently for Oneus concert, which was amazing as always. My review, however, is strictly for the venue itself, which was pretty below average to me. The venue does have clear bag and bag check policies, so make sure to check on their policies on their website before arriving. This location hosts multiple different businesses. Once arrived at the location, finding the entrance/floor to the venue itself was confusing unless you've been here before. There was barely any instructions on how to get to the actual venue itself. It is located on the third floor, and the elevator for that is old and smelly. The interior of the venue was not bad, but it wasn't the best either. The venue's lighting was also super dark even before/after the concert. My group had the front row balcony seat, and the view was actually pretty decent. I had purchased the party pass which came with priority entry, a small selection of foods, and a drink. You can find the menu on their website, but the menu is pretty pricey. I got the lemonade and chicken tenders/fries, and they tasted okay. My friend had the second row floor seat (which at certain spots were blocked by stage equipments). She also paid for the associated parking ahead at the time of booking, but the parking turned out to be super far from the venue, which wasn't great either. Overall I probably would not come back here unless there was a concert I really didn't want to miss.

Yelp
The "lounge" has seating - but a $59 minimum. So to get into the venue early - you pay $25 per person - but you can't sit at a table - there are about three seats that do not require the minimum purchase. Cannot recommend that anyone else do this.

Yelp
I really enjoyed my experience here. I've been wanting to go here since I was a kid and it did not disappoint. The staff was friendly and helpful. One of the employees even guided us to which bar could give us cheaper drinks which was a plus. I came to see a cover band of Red Hot Chili Peppers thinking it was the actual band lmaooo but still ended up having a good time. The sound was on point and the drinks were good. The band definitely put on a show. After the concert we went into a different room and happened to end up in an open mic type of event with a full bar and stayed there for a bit and enjoyed that too. It had a nice and relaxing vibe there. I would recommend this place.

Yelp
You could improve by actually answering the phone. I have been trying to get ahold of someone for over one week. No one answers. I have left messages. Ticket masters has tried to help me the best they can. But they have no answer. The LOL podcast event that is at your venue has conflicting emails on what time the show actually takes place.

Yelp
There to see Psychedelic Furs, GA tickets. The Ladies restroom was attended by Lounette (sp?). Lovely woman...beautiful and never missed a moment or a need. Very polite. There is an opportunity to tip her cash. Please do. At the bar, we chose Art Car IPA tall boys...$17.32 each...$1 an ounce. Ridiculous. That's a 200% markup. Great concert venue. Floor and Balcony. There is an elevated space opposite of the stage across GA. A table for four was said to be an additional cost of $350 for this concert. Table does come with table service, so you can order food and beverage and have them brought to you. They had a dedicated space to create a line for the merch tables. A good idea, I guess. When the concert is over, leave or go to the Foundation Room. Follow HoBHou on Social Media to keep up with all of the goings on.

Yelp
I have a love/hate relationship with this particular HOB. I often like who is entertaining there, but either the employees (consistently some of the worst I've come across in Houston), lame food, or their policies/price gouging is annoying. It's usually their staff that is extremely rude, but this last time it was water. Any bar or restaurant is legally obligated to provide tap water if asked, but yet they tell you that's not true and force you to buy their water for $5. It isn't about the money for me, it's about the principle that they lie to you and say they can't give you water under any circumstances. Ambiance is typical, nothing great but not horrible.

Yelp
There's always issues when attending music venues. They were handing out bands to purchase drinks. Ummm just have a valid ID would suffice, but there were teens at the show. Eventually I think they gave up on the band idea. The show started at 7 on the ticket, but in actuality it started at 8:30. They played music that kept us grooving, but that played out and we were ready for The Prince Experience. The artist did a pretty decent job, especially since he was imitating such a remarkable performer. I had a strawberry ginger lemonade with Tito's. It was okay, more ginger not a lot of strawberry. The show was great and I'd definitely recommend a visit to the venue.

Yelp
The staff suck. I sat down on the wall before the show even started with no one near me not bothering anyone just trying to tie my shoe and this big worker guy comes over taps me on the shoulder and very rudely commands me to stand. If i see him again hes getting punched.

Lin A.

Yelp
After attending a second event at this music venue, I have decided that I won't attend any concerts and or events that are held at this place of business.. $22 for a crown & soda & it wasn't an artist performing.. just a regular R&B night. When I asked how much was the drink she proceeded to say $22.. I asked if grat was included and she said "no, but that's a double" I never asked for a double. What's messed up is that they're not even telling you what you're paying for and just serving you doubles & making you pay for that. The only nice bartender was the Asian female with short hair & she actually asked if we wanted a double.. every other bartender which I noticed were mostly Hispanics didn't bother.. like a hustle or money hungry. Either or, I'm staying away from house of blues. $22 for a double is INSANE!!!!! TELL YOUR PATRONS THEYRE GETTING SOLD DOUBLES INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM BUY DOUBLES! No wonder this business has a bad rep in the local bartending group! Thieves!!!!

Yelp
This place is an overpriced dump. Last year I went for The Hu. The opening band failed to show. No explanation. No refund. This year I bought a meet n greet for The Struts. I received no info for the meet n greet and missed it. They had the wrong email for me and couldn't even admit that. No accountability. No refund. They don't care. I won't be back. Also paid for parking but no attendant and no way to get the machine to recognize my phone code. Utter bs.

Yelp
I would've looked past the -staff giving me one wrist band and having to hunt for a "drinking" wristband myself on the other side of a crowded venue -staff telling me "you need to move, you're in the way", as I was trying to find a standing spot -$15 white claw -being shoved constantly because they oversold tickets -being shoved 5x (literally), by staff carrying out drunk people -rancid smelling people around me If the acoustics were good. But they were awful. The absolute terrible sound in this venue was the icing on the cake. I drove all the way from Austin to see a show. Never again.

Yelp
I love this venue due to its great proximity to parking. The venue also has great drinks and food during concerts. I've attended the Jazz Brunch before and had a grand time with my family! Can't beat good food and tunes The House of Blues fam is really kind and helpful too!

Yelp
When life gets hard, listen to Lyfe. Had the pleasure of seeing Lyfe Jennings in concert. It was organized with ample security. The drinks were slightly high, but it's an event to be expected. I do feel they should have had more than 2 bartenders at each station for the number of people attending. I was close to the stage and I enjoyed the fact that they served water and had the a/c on because it was a packed house.

Yelp
We had a great time at The Prince Experience at The House of Blues. We've attended various events, concerts and comedy shows here and it's always a good time. I love standing room only concerts! It's great to be able to dance and party to live music. The food and drinks are super expensive here though.

Yelp
One of the main (smaller/mid sized) music venues in Houston. Been around for a while and was here before 713 and some of the new places. Smaller and mid size bands usually show up here and you get a couple niche/ indie bands a year that I like to go. Most of their acts are cover bands and repeats that I don't find interest in to be fair. The area of town is not great after dark and I'd recommend going with friends or Uber for your personal safety. Lots of bums and sketchy activity after concerts that end after 11pm. I don't participate in their bar or restaurant but it's a reasonably priced ticket for most acts that I like. Mild Orange and Phum Viphurit at this one. Sound design and lighting is decent besides the huge HOB logo on the stage that's a bit dated. I prefer to chill in the back in front of the sound guys to get more space to enjoy the show.

Yelp
Went to see The Prince Experience on January 4th. I slipped and sprained my ankle, due to my own clumsiness. I had General Admission tickets and would have not been able to stand for the whole concert. I spoke with Mike Bowling, the Director of Music Hall Operations. He kindly found 2 seats in the back of the balcony section and brought me some ice for my ankle. Very kind to accommodate me, so I didn't have to miss the event. Excellent customer service and I will be back for more events. Thanks so much, Mike! Dawn B

Yelp
Do not waste money on the "VIP experience"! It's the furthest thing from any VIP I've ever paid for. The service in the Foundation Room was horrific and even worse in the VIP section of the concert area. The wait for a server was ridiculous. I just opted to not have drinks once the show started because I wasn't going to flag down a server when I paid $150 extra dollars for a "dedicated server". Each employee knows basically no information when asked questions and most seem like they just don't want to be there. The only redeeming factor was that the Foundation Room drinks were strong and the Wagyu burger there was extremely tasty. The show was phenomenal, thanks to the artist, who was being literally attacked by bugs on the stage during her performance! I've never seen that happen even at outdoor venues. Just sad on the part of HOB! The photo shows the artist having to take a moment and try to flick some of the swarm off after ignoring them for far longer than anyone else would have, I'm sure. Thank God for her heavenly vocals because the sound system is subpar. I doubt I'll try another show at House of Blues Houston.

Yelp
A great space to rent. I was here today for a pop-up church service. There was plenty of meeting spaces and places for musicians but creative venue for church.

Yelp
(This review is for the concert hall only) I was here once a few years ago for Thrice. I came back on 10/14 to see Sofi Tukker and enjoyed the show very much. Sound quality is excellent and you get a good view of the stage no matter where you stand due to the structure. There's a bar on the left and back side when you face the stage and merchandise is in the back area; I don't go for any drinks since they are overpriced but at that's any venue. The lightings and settings of the show made for a great experience and people are in a good mood. It was packed for the show; guess this group is gaining a following. Overheard some people mention they've never heard them before until that night; I think they became fans! You will have to go through some stairs to get here so it can get tricky. Plus have your stuff ready when you go through those detectors; don't hold the line up!

Yelp
The foundation room is awesome, try the skirt steak meat awesome. Great place to see and hear live music. Pretzel bites not so good

Lynn D.

Yelp
A hidden Houston secret discovered last night when we were there to see Mark Winters and Roxe with Mystery Loves Company opening. Maybe worth the VIP upgrade!

Robert M.

Yelp
Great place, love the environment and vibe. I also love the fact that they employ the special needs people to cook food, but, can someone do a better job training them since I can't buy a pretzel that's completely burnt and hard. Bar staff are awesome, drinks are a bit too pricey. The angry man that stands by the sink to put soap on your hand and ask for a tip...why is that even needed? Other than that, great place to watch a concert!

Yelp
I have been calling and emailing them for two weeks straight with a fairly simple question and received no responses.

Yelp
Decent small venue for lesser known artists. Located in downtown, there are street parking or nearby garages available. Been here many times throughout the years and generally enjoyed the experiences. The stage and the venue as a whole is pretty outdated and haven't changed for years, and the sound quality is mid. But on the bright side, tickets are normally very cheap and given the size of the venue, it is nice to be close to the stage even when you choose to hang out in the back. For my most recent visit, they went overboard with the AC, it was freezing cold even in the crowd.
google avatar

Yelp
Came here for a comedy show. They have folding chairs for events like this in the normal GA area. Very organized. Not a bad seat in the house. Lots of alcohol and fried food for you here. I'm currently on the Whole30 diet so I could literally only have water. At least they had liquid death sparkling water. Can trick my tastebuds into thinking I'm sipping on a cocktail. They have a huge parking lot across the street. The cost varies drastically depending on the day. They have a smoking area outside if you want to step out the building. There however is no reentry once you leave out the main doors. Never had a bad time here. One of the better smaller sized venues in town!

Max D.

Yelp
If I could give zero stars, I would. Went to House of Blues expecting a great night seeing Role Model, but instead, I got HOURS of standing around for no reason. The show was supposed to start at a reasonable time, but of course, Role Model decided to make us all wait forever before finally gracing us with his presence. By the time he came out, my feet were killing me, my patience was gone, and honestly, the vibe was ruined. The venue itself? Overcrowded, overpriced, and somehow both too hot and too cold at the same time. The drinks cost more than my rent, the sound system was mid at best, and don't even get me started on the staff--zero communication about delays, zero apologies, just a whole lot of attitude. Might as well have stayed home and watched YouTube videos of the performance. At least then I wouldn't have wasted my time and money. Do better, House of Blues. Do better, Role Model.
google avatar

Jeremy C.

Yelp
Love this venue. House of blues feels so personable with their concerts. Tickets are always reasonably priced. Easy to get it as well as parking garage very close proximity. Drinks although a little pricey are good as well
google avatar

Cilicia L.

Yelp
Drink service was a little slow, but they were slammed so it was understandable. The drink prices were a little high, but not ridiculous. The drinks were not mixed well at all, and I could not find a straw to mix them myself, annoying when you are paying $20 for a cocktail. The sound quality was great, which is the most important part when you are going to a concert. I didn't eat anything, so can't comment on the food. It had the right vibe for a live music venue, and we had a good time.

Yelp
HOB was A lot of Fun. First time at this one in Houston. My Bestie and I enjoyed the SOFIE TUKKER concert that evening. It was easy to get in and out. Stage area was large and accommodating. Nicely secured as well for everyone's safety. Parking was good at the designated Parking Garage. Good times had by all!

Yelp
I think your opinion of House of Blues might vary due what event you are attending. For this particular event it was Nick Cannon "Next Superstar Tour 2023" and the venue only had standing room or a small area for VIP seating. Luckily my daughter and I showed up early and found a spot in the rear where you could sit your drinks or food on, but they were few and far between. The only other options if you ordered food was to stand by the bar, a couple of stair railings, or hold your food. Are the drink prices worth it? No. Is the art on the walls for sale? Hmm, can't remember.

Yelp
I went to the House of Blues Houston in March 2025 to see a concert. There were two big problems: First, people who lined up before the doors opened were not allowed into the venue for the restroom or to get water. This prohibition made us feel disrespected and disregarded. Second, at 4 pm, they announced that there would be Fast Passes for sale for early entrance into the venue. That's fine, but there were problems with this announcement: After people purchased those Fast Passes for $25, the order of the line-up in the queue was totally gone. They ushered us into a bar type area, and they didn't have us stay in the order we had been in for the queue. People were just milling around; there was no line, and they didn't even tell us which door we'd be using to enter the concert hall. One of the staff members even announced that there was no line-up order, and that they would not honor it. Some fans had started lining up at 6 am, and others lined up throughout the rest of the day. All of those fans did so in the belief that lining up early would ensure a better spot for viewing the show. That belief, that trust, was completely obliterated by HOB staff, who didn't maintain the queue order, AND (even worse) hadn't told us beforehand that they were going to get rid of the line order. I felt really bad for all of the people who had lined up; they ended up wasting that entire day. It was all for nothing. More than 200 people were affected by this huge HOB mistake. Yes, those fans chose to line up. They didn't have to do so. However, they did so in the good faith that they would have a nice, close spot inside the venue for the show. HOB gave us NO reason to believe otherwise, until 4 pm, when they herded us into the bar area and announced that our lining up order was obliterated. I got in line at around noon. I had come from out of town for the show and could have spent the day sightseeing and enjoying the Houston area, had I known that the queuing would end up being utterly useless. HOB needed to have announced through email and through their website days ahead of time that lining up would be meaningless. People deserved to know this well before 4 pm. We all could have had that entire day for ourselves, to do whatever we wished. As a result of HOB not telling us beforehand, we all felt cheated, lied to, disregarded, and disrespected. Needless to say, I don't ever want to return to HOB Houston, and I do not recommend it at all.

Yelp
If you get there early you will be waiting in line for a while. They don't let you in to be seated until a certain time. If you are on the balcony by the sides or the isles you need to be about 3-4 rows up not to have an obstructed view because of the railing. Nice bar and good venue besides that. Nice place to be able to still easily see the performers. I went for a comedy show. So I really can't comment on the sound quality.

Joe K.

Yelp
horrible- if concert starts at 7, state that... not when doors open... why the hell get here to stand in line for doors to open at 7 with concert not starting until later... see NRG or Toyota Center.. avoid this place like the plague... 9pm start the concert or refund money... second rate artiest ... not beyoncé ... l..

Yelp
Went to a big show here recently. Way too packed. They sell too many tickets then there is no place to stand and everyone is crammed in together. And HoB has employees with flash lights telling people they cant stand in walk ways, but the venue is so packed there is no good place to stand... Forget about dancing, grooving or having a good time, cuz it's just a bunch of people crammed into a room. HoB doesnt care if you have a good concert experience they just want maximum profits. If you go to the other popular review site and sort reviews by 'lowest rating' you will see several other people saying the same things I mention here. Watching the crowd you can see a lot of people walking around frustrated the place is so packed and they have no place to enjoy the music from and just employees keep telling them 'you cant stand here'. I've been to many shows in Houston, Austin, San Antonio. HoB is good for a 'medium size' show, but if it's a big name they are going to sell too many tickets and it's going to be PACKED. I normally go to heavy metal shows where the crowd is very rowdy. I dont mind being around people, but HoB feels like youre in a room with 800 people and the room is big enough to hold 600 people.

Yelp
I went there for a comedy show. We were in the 3rd row to the far right. Note- if you don't want the light shining in your face the whole time, don't sit on the right side in the front. The seats are not super comfortable, basic. It's a big venue though so you don't feel crammed in.

Yelp
We bought VIP section seats for last nights Trombone Shorty Concert months ago. We arrived and were able to go into the venue. However, when we tried to access the VIP section, the lady told me that our VIP tickets were no longer valid. She said to visit the box office to get a refund. I asked," is there an available VIP table that I could have?" She said, yes but go to the box office. So I get to the box office and there was about 10 people that were going thru the same thing as me. None of us were happy. When it was my turn, I told the lady what was happening so she told me to pull up the email where the tickets were bought. She says," oh sir, you bought these thru stub hub so theres absolutely nothing we can do, but you need to call stubhub." Ok, fair enough. So I get on the phone with Stubhub and the lady tells me," no your tickets are valid and theres nothing on our end that we can do. They should be letting you into that area." What????? So this is House of Blues messup???? I been coming here for years. Im a local musician that has played this venue a handful of times. So i go back to the box office lady that told me theres nothing she can do and i asked for the event organizer or just a general manager. The lady calls security on me and said I was harrassing her and claims i was recording the conversation. Uhh, Im allowed to record the conversation, so if i have to file a lawsuit , Im able to with evidence. Security tells me to leave the premise or area, so now I started getting irrate. They are trying to kick me out now? I said," I need to talk to the manager now. All of this is recorded and on my phone. Well the manager gets there and I told her the issue. She says," we f-ed up the tickets." " well why didnt you guys own up to the mistake instead of trying to push me to the side??????" Listen people, THEY ARE RESELLING YOUR TICKETS THAT YOU BOUGHT for a higher price. This is what happens, You buy a ticket for say $100. Well they keep that ticket on the market to sell, but they raise the price. So now its $120. If someone wants it for $120 and buys it , well your $100 ticket is now voided. CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT???? This has got to be illegal. I will be reaching out to my lawyer about this. Everything was recorded. If anyone else has gone thru this same thing, please call or text me 281-900-2784. We must stand up to this.

Syomi G.

Yelp
I went out with my friends to go see a DJ and once we arrived the security stopped us and weren't allowed in because they had supposedly seen us drinking and since we are underage they can't let us in. They even said that one of their security's saw us and took pictures. We asked to see the pictures because we didn't stop to throw anything in the trash can, and we only had our phones in our hands. The security that had "seen" us, his name is Demarcus, I asked to see the picture that he took of us but not once did he showed it and when he was infront of us he automatically turned his phone off. And he looked directly at my friends top and said that it was her. I honestly don't recommend going to House of Blues if this is how people get accused for something that they didn't do. And their head of security and manager told us that they trust their security since they were trained but honestly I don't think so because once we were leaving they were just accusing us nonstop. I am not going back here anytime soon if that is how they treat their customers

Yelp
Came to HOB for a show on a Thursday evening. There's no parking since it's downtown so it's always best to Uber. The space we were in wasn't too big but it was comfy and had a bar. They had just closed the kitchen so I wasn't able to try the food and the drink I got was terrible. But, I plan on going to more shows there because it's super cozy and has a chill vibe.

OK, so on this one I'm torn we went for a friends birthday and we attended a burlesque show that was being featured at the house of blues when it comes to the house of blues all was right. The service was great. The drinks were good and strong staff was absolutely amazing. However, the burlesque show that was being featured needed work. There were three dancers. They spent more time pre-show intermission, and post show. Then they did dancing and putting on the show, I have been to plenty burlesque shows in my time this one just missed the mark for me

Yelp
Update 2-10-22: Going to concerts in the time of Covid is an interesting experience. This is my first time back at HOB in over two years and things are definitely different. I wish I would have read through the updated reviews about the purse policy. They legit will get a measuring tape out and measure your purse. I believe it can't be larger than 6.5 x 4.5. That's basically the size of a wallet. My phone is bigger than my wallet. If you have a clear bag, the max size is 12 x 6 x 12. They did have a purse check in the Bronze Peacock Room for $10 a bag. We just went ahead and paid it. It is CASH only so be prepared for that. I'm not sure what they do if there's a show in the Bronze Peacock Room and the main room. I just didn't feel comfortable walking back to my car to put my purse in there because I just really don't trust people. At Toyota, they didn't seem to enforce the bag policy, but they are not playing around at HOB. You do have to show proof of vaccination, but there were three check points. The first check point is the vaccine card. They didn't even compare the name on the vaccine card to an ID so you could literally take a random vaccine card and just show it. On the FAQ page, it does say that they will accept a paper copy of the vaccine card, but I did not want to risk it. The next check point is the ID check and the third is the actual security check with the metal detectors. This is where they also scan your digital ticket. I did see online that they offer onsite Covid testing for $40 but I am not sure if that's every show, so if you don't have a vaccine card, you could take a rapid test onsite to get in. Some people were wearing masks, but most weren't. The drinks are still pricey. Single well drinks are $10, doubles are $20. A single Deep Eddy and tonic was $13. If you park in the Greenstreet garage, it's $5. My friend prepaid for parking when she bought her ticket and it was $8. The band we saw (The Wombats) were a lot of fun and the sound quality was good. It was a process to get in and now we know for next time.

Yelp
I attended a concert Friday night for PJ Morton. His performance was phenomenal from start to finish. This venue is really cute. Just spacious enough while till maintaining a sense of intimacy. This is a standing venue so I'd advise wearing comfortable shoes (I made the mistake of trying to break in some new heels lol). There is a raised vip section in the middle of the venue & seating is available in a balcony style area upstairs. They have a few food options available & a full bar is advertised however, this night the bar was bare bones. Very few options & none of the advertised cocktails could be made due to lack of supplies. Bartenders were only able to serve beers or vodka, tequila or rum with soda, cranberry or pineapple juice. Many customers were very disappointed with the options. Per security, make sure you leave the big purses home as they only allow small bags and clear bags. You are ID'd upon entry. You will be promoted to walk through a metal detector & bags will be searched which is very comforting given a lot of things that are going on in current times.

Yelp
I recently visited House of Blues, to attend Bone Thugz n Harmony concert. I have only been to HOB for concerts, nothing else. The place was packed on the ground floor, where there was standing room only. There were different bar spots and they were all crowded. I noticed the upstairs floor that was a seated area. It was very hot though. I wasn't sure how low the air conditioning was, but it was hot, and being summers in Houston did not help either. One lady right in front of me fainted. I'm thinking since it was so crowded and packed, and we were like sardines stuff on the dance floor, she probably needed fresh air. They had to call security to provide her water and escorted her outside. The section where they host concerts should be re-evaluated. You cannot have that many individuals just stuffed inside with potential of hazard. I couldn't move because I had people right left behind and in front. Heck, it felt like there were people above and below me. As far as the concert, it was very good, although Bone came out 3 hours after the show started, which was unacceptable. The first 3 hours we just listened to locals and the crowd was getting tired of standing and no good entertainment to jam. I might think again to attend a concert at HOB. They have a parking garage right across from venue, and they were charging $10.00 for parking.

Yelp
Loved the vibe, C19 vaccination card needed for entry, line gets long quick! LADIES AND GENTS... bags or purses bigger than the palm of your hand are not allowed in the venue. You will have to return it to your vehicle and that can be a journey if you parked far!!!!

Yelp
I love that the space is pretty intimate no matter what seat you're in, but there were several issues that forced me to give them 2 stars. Pre-show issues in the 1st floor bar: - didn't have limes - I ordered coke, then they served me a Pepsi and only told me after the fact - the bar has no access to tabs opened by waitstaff. As we were trying to make it to the show, our waiter went missing. The bar couldn't do anything about it. Issues at the music venue upstairs: - the trek upstairs is quite a ways, especially if you're trying to get to the top orchestra level. First you have to travel from the first floor to the third. There was only one easily accessible elevator that I saw. - If you get seats in the orchestra level, you need to wait in a long ass line for another single elevator. The elevator attendant was nice enough, but he asked our group to pull out our tickets again. This would be the second time we had to pull up our tickets. This takes time for each person which further exasperated the elevator traffic. And no, there was no stairway option. We thought we were Scott free after getting tickets checked before entering the building, but that wasn't the case. It'd be nice if someone had let us know to keep our tickets out so the elevator situation wouldn't have been so weird. - Orchestra level seats have really tight aisles. I'm a fairly small person but had so much difficulty passing by other people when traveling to and from my seat. At one point, I gave up and started climbing up rows of chairs to avoid giving the people next to me any surprise lap dances. - The elevator attendees are ticket nazis, not really looking out for anyone's safety. During intermission, my dad and I stepped out for fresh air. We had to pull out our tickets both going down and coming back, even though we were the only people riding the elevator both times. The first elevator attendant was cool. When the show left, there was a new attendant. Our group loaded into the elevator, and a woman was holding the door open for someone in a wheelchair. The elevator door ended up closing on the woman's hand as we were all yelling. The attendant was so oblivious to the whole thing and didn't care when we brought it to his attention. Ew, priorities much? Lastly, if you valet, be prepared to wait a loooong time. I waited over 30 minutes, and there were many others who waited longer. The valet team is hustling, but clearly understaffed.

Yelp
Not a bad venue for concerts. I really attended a Chlöe Bailey concert and enjoyed her performance. The wait in the line was not long at all. The workers are really quick with checking tickets. i had some issues with space concerns though because it was hard to maneuver closer to the stage when its packed like sardines. I find a great viewing spot by the back bar luckily. I will say be prepared to pay more for drinks. I asked for some whiskey straight and i was given a little shot for 16 bucks. Overall though I wouldn't mind attending another concert. Chloe Bailey rocked the house!!!

Yelp
Went here for my first concert yesterday to see Ali Gatie and Johnny Orlando was the opener. The venue Is pretty small which we LOVED since there's great options to be right up close to the stage, especially if you get VIP passes! They have table seating and a bar available as well as some food to my knowledge (don't quote me on that). Otherwise the house of blues restaurant is right downstairs conveniently located. No complaints!
