Fun place to go out for a date night, lots of things to do. The entrance includes access to some food trucks and bars (including local brewery stations like Veza Sur). There is sitting, music by a DJ (usually electronic and house) and a dance area too. There is also a zombie paintball shooting range (didnt do it so don't know how good). The House of Death itself is very short (about 5 minutes) and not that scary but it's still fun! I think for $20-25 you get a good deal and a fun night with friends/family.

I went on Saturday night and had fun. When you enter, you walk along the City of Miami cemetery which sets a spooky tone. The event consists of a haunted house, a stage with a DJ, a paintball game where you shoot zombies, an art exhibition in a shipping container, several food and drink vendors, and lots of picnic tables and areas to sit. The haunted house is the main attraction. The set design inside the haunted house was well done and there are over a dozen actors in full makeup and costumes jumping out in various parts to scare you. Each room is unique and you even walk through a bus at one point. It exceeded my expectations and got my adrenaline pumping—well worth the cost of admission. As the night continued, attention shifted to the stage, where people were dancing and DJs were playing electronic music. The music was much better than I expected and kept us entertained for hours. I would definitely come back again. Thanks for the great time!

It lives up to its name except its literally HAUNTED. While i was there with my friends someone dressed up as a worker there asked if i wanted to meet death, then he asked me to follow him where he proceeded to paint a pentagram on the floor with candles. after that my whole life changed, when i got home my house did not seem like normal. there were a bunch of noises of knocking and i would see shadows or people for a split second. idk abt u but. NEVER

My family and I visited House of Death 11/1/19 and all I can say is that it is definitely not worth the $25 per person. It was OK. Not many scare actors in the house. It did not last long. We finished the house in less than 7 mins. The company advertised an 18 minute extreme experience. THAT IS NOT TRUE! I will not be spending my money on this event in the future.

First off I’d like to say I normally don’t scare easily. As I entered this haunted house I didn’t know what to expect, but I instantly got that tingly spooked feeling. From the creepy announcer to the scary maze that is this house, the whole experience was both frightening and exhilarating. Definitely better than any of the other dud haunted houses I’ve experienced. I also really enjoyed the other portions of the event, including that there were things to do for my less courageous family members apart from being frightened. The wonderful music and overall atmosphere created a place where we could enjoy a lengthy night out instead of the usually 10 minute rush through a boring haunted house. Will definitely be returning later this month to enjoy it all again!

I was really excited to go to this haunted house. Once we arrive the place was set up with food trucks and seating. The main attraction is the haunted house so when we arrived that was the first thing we did, as a line was already forming. To be honest the entrance where they have the “disclaimer” is more scary than the actual house. Once you get through the disclaimer there’s another line you have to wait in and there’s one actor scaring people and banging on the wall, which was just loud. I read reviews before and got the idea that it was a maze and would take about 10-15 mins to get through. It’s not a maze there’s one way to get through the whole thing and takes about 5-7 mins. There needs to be more actors in the house. There’s a lot of “empty” space where you’re expecting something to jump out at you and nothing happens. I was let down by this “haunted house.”

I arrived with one other person at about 5:45pm on October 5th 2019. There was an open gate with an attendant letting other staff and vendors in. The attendant said the main gate would be opening at 6pm as advertised on the website and all promotional materials. So we walked down the street and waited at the main gate. At 6pm the side staff gate was closed and locked while the main gate was still padlocked. Due to this fact there were multiple cars trapped inside the venue with no way in or out of the completely gated in facility. We witnessed a beige vehicle go around the parking lot for 10 minutes looking for a way to get out. This fact and providing documentation was brought to the Fire Marshall’s attention. The gate was finally opened to allow customers inside at 6:10pm, although the box office did not open until 6:17pm. We bought our tickets and went inside the event. From there, event security searched our belongings and took the ticket stubs, and we proceeded into an event. Then we realized it was still being setup at the time. Upon entering the event around 6:20pm, 20 minutes after the posted opening time, most of the vendors were not open, and some weren’t even setup yet. A giant paintball sign was still being strung up to a shipping container. Only one single vendor seemed to be open for business with a very nice “soup of the day is alcohol ” sign, which was the most amusement we had at the entire event. We walked around for a little bit thinking we had beaten the crowds to the event and then decided to get in line for the actual haunt. There was no barrier from preventing us to join the line and audio was already playing from the inside of the house itself. As soon as we reached the front of the haunt itself a very nice woman told us the haunt itself would not be opening till around 7:30pm which is the normal time for dusk. As others continued to enter the line for the house we exited looking for a person in charge of the event to figure out what was going on as the website stated a 6pm event opening and only one single bar was opened by 6:20. Finally, we came across Peter Regalado (who I recognized from a WSVN 7 news piece) talking to the fire marshall. We walked over and he said he was in charge. He reiterated what was said at the front of the house that it would not be opening until after sunset. Our plan was to not wait in long lines and get to the haunt early, continuing our evening elsewhere. He stated that we should enjoy the other “amenities” which were open at the event at the time which at the time only one bar was still open. We asked Peter if we could get a refund because we would not be staying around for another hour waiting for the haunt to open. He stated we needed to go back to the ticket office in order to get a refund for the ticket cost. The Fire Marshall standing next to Peter also seemed concerned about how the event was being run. Upon leaving the event we were told we could not reenter by the security staff, (though they were incredibly friendly) and proceeded to the box office. After 6 minutes of discussion at the box office and a phon call later, we were finally refunded. We did not experience the haunt itself but I have included photos of what we did see. The overall opinion of how the event was run gives me very little confidence we missed an amazing hunt itself. I was really looking forward to attending this event but now am just happy to have my money back! Word to the wise stay, far away and enjoy other quality South Florida haunts like Enigma Haunt in Boca Raton, whose free parking will pay its cost in gas alone! (Versus the 10 dollar parking fee at House of Death) Disclaimer: After expressing the contents of this review directly to Peter Regalado (the event organizer) and a fire marshall that was with him, I was refunded my $50 (full price gate admission) for 2 persons admission cost. This review is being provided for others who may choose to attend this event in the future as an honest review of my experience before the refund.

The scariest part of all was the $25 admission. There's nothing to see here. A bottle of water generic was $3. Oh and don't bother going to the sweaty guy sweating all over your "parilla" disgusting. Port-a-potty's had no light (bring a flashlight). The "HAUNTED" house was not scary at all. They didn't have enough scare actors so long walks with potential scares but the execution was not there. All in all, poorly put together event! Don't forget to check out the dance floor!
