House Of Eve - Review - South Lake Union - Seattle - The Infatuation

"According to House Of Eve’s website, they’re a “sexy restaurant.” And if your idea of sexy is a dining room that looks like a CB2-decorated Millennium Falcon at the bottom of an Amazon building, then, by all means, grab a table. But much like tiny purse dogs in the 2000s, the mediocre food at this South Lake Union restaurant is merely a prop for your social media posts. House Of Eve’s menu has the same variety as a Delta airport lounge, and the dishes are all pretty boring and underseasoned across the board. Your appetizer options don’t stretch too far beyond greens or bread, and the entrees are just as yawn-inducing, with dishes like alfredo pasta, mac and cheese, and dry mussels. Sure, the house salad is fine, with lots of snappy pear chunks and dried cranberries. But charred brussels sprouts could use more time in an oven to soften up, and the bland vegetarian rigatoni bolognese tastes like a jar of Ragu, which we’d rather buy for $3.99 at QFC—not for $26 here. Disappointing meal aside, this spot gives Seattle a place where you can wear a cashmere trench coat instead of a Kraken rain shell—somewhere to dress up and feel like you’re inside a Los Angeles clubstaurant and not on a tech company’s campus. Come here to have a lively time and drink a dark cherry martini with other well-dressed people, snap a few new pictures for your feed, and just grab a pizza for sustenance on the way home. @infatuation_seattle Our Staff Writer Kayla checked out House Of Eve, a new self-proclaimed "sexy restaurant" in South Lake Union. See what she had to say. #houseofeve #infatuationseattle ♬ original sound - Infatuation Seattle Keep scrolling for the food rundown Food Rundown photo credit: Daniel Thomas Winter House Salad This salad is the best thing here. It’s light on the dressing, heavy on the cheese, and has plenty of crunchy hazelnuts and cubed pear strewn throughout. Mama’s Mussels The best part of this dish involves dunking crusty bread into a lemony white wine sauce that’s accented by leeks and fennel. Otherwise, you can skip these dry mussels with minuscule specks of chorizo floating around." - Kayla Sager-Riley

Seattle’s New Restaurant Openings - Seattle - The Infatuation

"The folks from Evoke Espresso have brought another attractive space to South Lake Union, but this time it’s a restaurant and bar that serves fancy American food like balsamic-glazed brussels sprouts and braised beef with roasted potatoes. This self-proclaimed “sexiest restaurant in Seattle” has cocktails with cheeky drink names too, like the “Forbidden Fruit” with tequila and apple liquor, or an espresso martini called “Less Bitter Than Your Ex.” " - Kayla Sager Riley

We visited this place for a Saturday night dinner with a group of 14 and ordered nearly everything on the menu. They have a nice selection of pasta, including vegetarian options. The mocktails were good—I especially enjoyed the “Chef’s Kiss” mocktail. The Alfredo is a must-try, though the tiramisu was a bit disappointing. My most favorite is their “House Salad”.

Cute restaurant for an after work meet up! As we got there there was one server at the time but another one was clocking in and quickly sat us down. Our seating was in the front corner, unfortunately my chair could not pull all the way out because it was so close to the post, not too comfortable but nothing I couldn’t handle. We got there during the end of happy hour. Drinks were beautifully crafted and were tasty. If you love coffee try both coffee drinks as I did. The food was seasoned well and the portion sizes were standard, enough for leftovers. Please try the bread and butter, my favorite! Pesto pasta was flavored well and was super fresh. If you are in the area, it’s worth a try. Prove point was a little higher than anticipated but the drinks made it worth it.

We loved this place so much we came for lunch and drinks later that evening. (Pardon my half eaten photos. The meals were so incredible, the photos were taken after the need to document such fantastic food was realized) For brunch we ordered the strawberry & kale salad, the roasted potatoes & Mikayla’s Benedict. For drinks we had a grapefruit mimosa, “Temptation” & “call me old fashioned”. Absolutely phenomenal from beginning to end. Service was on point, friendly and knowledgeable about the origins and profiles of their whiskey. The drinks were beautifully crafted and tasted as lovely as their presentation. The potatoes were perfectly browned with just the right amount of crisp. The fresh chipotle aioli was the perfect pair for the crisped potatoes. The strawberry and kale salad was tossed in a poppyseed dressing with feta and goat cheese. Absolutely perfectly tossed with the perfect amount of dressing, coating but not overpowering the freshness of the kale & mixed greens. Finally Mikayla’s Benedict; the fresh, sharp hollandaise paired perfectly with the poached egg, salmon lox, avocado & everything bagel. I will begin every meal I have here with the kale & strawberry salad which is big enough to share & those DREAMY potatoes. You’ll find me in my kitchen trying to replicate those roasted potatoes! Update! Went back for dinner and had the Brussels sprouts and pear salad. These balsamic glazed Brussels will forever change your perspective on cruciferous vegetables. Oh my LORD. The roast and glaze together are honestly a transcendent experience.

Been here twice… the same month. I wanted to try this place one more time before I tell others. An overall “meh” experience the both times I’ve been. I ordered the house salad which is what I got my first time coming, it was amazing then. Portion size was amazing then. However, today’s portion size (got it during happy hour) was 1/3 of what I got last time. Parmesan cheese as a repeat finishing touch was a bit boring. I’ve basically tried everything from their dinner menu. Recommend: roasted potatoes, roasted brussel sprouts, & mussels. As much as I love the atmosphere, this place is a one time try and maybe go back. I truly hope the team can improve on their consistency, timely serving, and pasta texture (too dry for my preference & tacky like drying glue when it came to the Alfredo & carbonara). However, my girls enjoyed the interior, atmosphere, & the cute drinks. I’ll come again in a few months.

Really enjoyed the atmosphere and the service was great. There are some nice vegetarian options on the menu. I would love to see more protein-rich options on the menu for lunch/happy hour. There are a couple small improvements that would go a long way I think. The potato appetizer on the menu might need to be rethought — sliced up fingerling potatoes in buttery oil with some herbs tossed on top just didn’t feel satisfactory for the price. And it wouldn’t hurt to improve on the presentation and making of the coffee drinks. Looking forward to trying out dinner and drinks here :)

Great spot for a dinner or a quick stop. We hit the happy hour and just had two cocktails and the cauliflower shared plate. We had no reservation and they were super happy to just seat us. The cocktails are very tequila and agave focused, but they have a bunch of infused versions of top shelf tequilas and agaves that looked really tasty. We had a non-alcoholic cherry and ginger beer cocktail, and an infused old fashion (whiskey) which were both really good. The cauliflower was also good. Grilled and sourced just right and the saffron aoli was a perfect compliment. Or seating has plenty of space, and the indoor seating was just as airy as the outdoor seats. Absolutely stop in if you are walking by.

Google
First time visiting this place and was impressed with the plates we ordered, and quality of the food we had. You can tell they take their time in presentation and the oysters were very fresh. The only downfall is the limited options on their dinner menu, especially protein, but sounds like they’re expanding it slowly. I was lucky enough to catch a limited, special braised beef plate that was really good! We also loved the drinks, cute bartender takes a lot of pride doing his drinks right and again, presentation also. This place gets busy fast so suggest reservations if you want to get a spot at the times you prefer.

Food was decent but we were disappointed. We stopped by around 2:45pm and they had stopped serving brunch but were not serving dinner yet. The menu claims there is a “happy hour” menu and to ask the server about it, but it’s not discounted or exclusive to happy hour at all. It’s a limited selection of 3 vegetarian pastas and appetizers at full price that are part of the main menu. We were disappointed at the lack of meat options or full meals on the menu for that time of day. I really liked the fresh herbs on the potatoes but they were dripping in oil and very soft. The rigatoni claims to be a bolognese, but a true Italian bolognese has ground beef and/or pork, with cut carrots and onions in the sauce. This was blended roasted vegetables making up the sauce and a ton of grated cheese. Very different than what we were expecting, and although it was tasty, $26 for a vegetarian pasta is absolutely over priced even for Seattle. Our cappuccino and latte were yummy, but the milk wasn’t steamed very well and was liquidy (not foamy). It looks like they have some good cocktails on the menu though, and good food options for dinner so I definitely want to stop by again and try the other stuff!

Yelp
Tonight my wife and I dined at House of Eve for her birthday dinner and we were extremely impressed by the ambiance, service and food! We started with cocktails, of which the menu had an excellent assortment. I chose a mocktail and even mine was delicious! It was Wednesday and so that's the day when bottles of wine and whiskey-based cocktails are 30% off! (though we didn't partake) Started with the Brussels Sprouts appetizer and it was insanely delicious! We are both critical of them whenever we have them but they were top-notch - pickled red onions, goat cheese etc... yum! Next were our mains: The Duck for her and the Pasta Carbonara for me. I'm always very happy with duck and this was no exception. Incredibly scrumptious including the roasted carrots and other accompaniments. My carbonara was a little "soupy" which was a bit of a bummer but the flavor was definitely on-point and I enjoyed it. Dessert was offered to us as a birthday touch: either Panna Cotta, Tiramisu or Molten Chocolate Cake. We went with the latter. Perfectly not too sweet but certainly decadent! :) Service was amazing from our server as well as everyone we came in contact with there. It was a combination of fine dining and casual for the ambiance and service. More than casual but not fine dining. I think it was the perfect compromise of the two! And the kitchen KNOCKED it outta the park with the food! Outdoor seating looked great too. I'd love to go back soon!

Yelp
Was with a group of 7 people and a dog in SLU and we wanted a place to grab dinner. Gave a call to House of Eve and they immediately reserved a table outdoors with enough seating for us and we were there within 5 min. The outdoor space is super nice, and at around 6:30 there were people there but it was not overly crowded. We got menus quickly, and the waiter offered a bowl of water for the dog. We placed an order for drinks, and the menu had some great and delicious mocktails! We also ordered the potatoes, salad, and bruschetta as appetizers, and the pesto, mushroom, and carbonara pastas. Everything was delicious, with the potatoes, bruschetta, and carbonara being the stand outs. The waiter was incredibly nice, giving us recs on what he enjoys, and ran after us when someone forgot a bag at the restaurant! Great service, great food, and prices that can be expected for SLU.

Yelp
I'm a HUGE fan of House of Eve! While the aesthetic is 10/10, the cocktails and food both actually measure up which is a rarity. I've visited on numerous occasions as it's a favorite of mine to bring friends visiting from other cities to show Seattle can be a cute little vibe too. Every corner of the restaurant is beautifully decorated, even the bathroom. The playlist is always a vibe. Service has always been top notch. Can you tell I like it here? I really like the tight menu, with only superstar dishes. My faves are the Brussels sprouts, house salad (even the small salad is HUGE!), Alfredo, and basil pesto gnocchi. As far as cocktails, I haven't had one I don't like yet. Highly recommend for friend or romantic date nights. I can't wait to celebrate my next birthday here-- it's that kind of place!

Yelp
This place is FOR THE GIRLS. I came here for a homegirl bday and this place is so cute. It's a very Instagram-able place if that's one of your interests when picking out food. Our server was so kind. She recommended a lot of things and was helpful. It was nice the menu was small so she knew what things tasted like. The menu is small, and this goes for their drink selection as well. But it was surprisingly AMAZING for how small this place is. I thought it be one of those nice looking places with basic food, but they proved me wrong. The best thing in my opinion was the mushroom pasta and then they had this delicious maple butter with bread. Go check it out! I believe they're also women owned!! It won't let you down!

Yelp
So glad my friend and I stumbled upon House of Eve. I asked Google for recommendations on lunch and unfortunately House of Eve did not come up. We decided to check it out after the first establishment we visited didn't quite work out. An adorable sign staying "Right This Way, Darling" on the sidewalk lets you know you're headed in the direction. House of Eve has lovely decor with plenty of natural light and thriving plants. The menu manages to provide a nice variety of options without being overwhelming. My friend and I both opted for Eve's Salad with salmon and it was, by far, the largest salad I have ever been served. No complains from me at all! In addition to the generous portion, all of the ingredients were fresh. My friend also the white chocolate matcha situation she ordered. Our water glasses were regularly refilled as well. Wishing this woman-owned business much success!!

Yelp
This place is great for a night out. Super vibey and it's a lot smaller than I thought the place would be. Mainly came here for the drinks and it didn't disappoint. A huge selection of different cocktails to choose from and all of them are pretty unique and special. Food was lowkey mid. It was good but nothing that stood out for that wow factor. The salad and the pasta were something that we liked

Yelp
came here with some friends and we absolutely loved it!! we got to sit in the lounge and the ambience was set so well especially with their dark, floral aesthetic and moody lighting. we came in kind of late but the servers were so kind and even helped us take group pictures but the kitchen closed an hour before the close :p the drinks were spectacular!! i absolutely loved the passion of woman and it was the crowd favorite. i would definitely come back during happy hour to try their food too!!

Yelp
My coworker swears by House of Eve, saying everyone she brings here ends up loving it and now I see why. It's such a charming spot with a cozy, stylish atmosphere and a menu full of tempting options. I'm glad we decided to go family-style and share dishes. The large salad was so big it was practically overflowing. The pasta dishes were a standout. Coming from a place where good pasta is hard to find, this was a treat. The duck was tasty, though I did wish the skin had been crispier. The brussel sprouts were another win, can't go wrong with those. We happened to go on a Wednesday, which meant a bottle of wine special. Let's just say we fully embraced that with great wine selections that paired nicely with everything we ordered. Desserts were decent, but not the highlight of the night. Still, this place is a gem, especially when shared with a good group.

Yelp
*Drinks Review Only* I haven't tried the food, so I can't comment on that. I met a friend for drinks, and unfortunately, the service was extremely slow. We visited around 6:30 on a Wednesday, and the place was packed. I highly recommend making a reservation; otherwise, you might end up seated at the bar. Keep in mind that it can get quite loud since the space is small, but the ambience is charming and elegant. I ordered "Adam's Revenge." It was good, but at $23 (including tip), it didn't feel worth it. Overall, the prices seem steep given the service and quality. I might consider coming back for happy hour.

Yelp
A cozy initimate space perfect for happy hour with friends or date night. Loved how the space was decorated, dark stoney earthy. The drinks were definitely the star of the show- with cocktail, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic options, there is something for everyone. The cocktail list was well curated and fit the aesthetic of the restaurant. The food was good and well portion sized. Ordered three different pastas but all felt very similar to one another if you took away main flavor profile. My party and I were seated towards the back and did feel as we needed to hunt someone down to help us when we wanted another drink or something else. While it was good to be away from the noisier area, it would have been great to spend the dinner being checked in on from time to time. House of Eve includes an automatic gratuity.

Yelp
Even from the street, you can see how beautiful House of Eve is. Once you walk in, it does not disappoint. I was waiting for my friend's plane to arrive, but this is a good place to hang solo or with friends or a date night. The drink menu is killer and the bartenders are very qualified! I started off the Tears of Joy, that featured a very interesting pear vodka. But after chatting with one bartender, I had to try our her dirty martini. She did not lie- it was the best one I've had in my life! They also have a good happy hour menu. It's from 3-6 and most items are 20% off. I had the carbonara off this menu and it was an excellent base for cocktails.

Yelp
A really nice ambiance and a great place for a dinner date! My husband and I came here for dinner together and we enjoyed starting off our night with some mocktails. The atmosphere is a nice and service was friendly. Food: + brussels sprouts - this was nicely done and flavorful + bread and butter - very tasty! + duck - this is a must and honestly elevated our dinner experience. Perfectly cooked and so yummy! + pasta - we were quite disappointed with this. The bolognese sauce was kind of bland and the pasta was soggy/overcooked. Thankfully they had the duck because that really saved our dinner experience. Overall, it's a really nice restaurant. The food is decent (minus our pasta) and the atmosphere was romantic.

Yelp
House of Eve is gorgeous from the moment you walk in, it just feels like a classy joint you want to hang out and drink in. A good spot for dates, girl time, or as we saw, family gatherings. It's well decorated, inviting, and has just the right amount of protection when seattle decides to have 80° sunshine beaming down. The drink menu is to die for. This is a place you go for drinks and well, you have to instagram them. The names are fantastic, most are uniquely crafted combinations, and the four I tried were all delicious. My friend had warned that the food didn't meet the cocktail experience and she was correct. Our cauliflower bites were incredible and she shared that previous snacks and appetizers had been good as well. Unfortunately, we both felt our pasta dishes were lacking in flavor. I absolutely loved having a gluten free Mac and cheese option, but it was missing something to give it some more flavor. Overall the cheese flavor is just there, with no real marker to make it stand out. My friend also didn't finish her pasta and commented it was missing some flavor as well. I would go back again though and continue to give it a shot. If anything, it's a beautiful place to grab drinks.

Yelp
I went here for Thursday happy hour with a few friends and the ambience here is very nice, the moment you step inside. Nice lighting and decor, compared to the exterior surrounded by plain high rises. My friend had the $20.24 for 1 cocktail and 1 shared appetizer deal, which is an amazing deal, but not everyone has that so I am writing this review based off of the actual menu/HH prices. We got the Taste of Luxury ($20) and Less Bitter Than Your Ex ($18) signature espresso martini for cocktails, and house salad ($12) + chicken ($8 surcharge, not included in the coupon) and half dozen oysters (MP) for the shared appetizers. Cocktails are good but overpriced for the menu. Taste of Luxury is a fruity drink in a fancy glass, nothing more. I guess if they consider sparkling / bubbles as fancy, then I guess. The Less Bitter Than Your Ex is good; it is just an espresso martini with tequila base instead of vodka. Food here is mostly okay, satisfactory for a business lunch type of setting, but not a standout for a nice restaurant. The salad felt a bit flat and didn't have much dressing but the chicken was above average in seasoning and tenderness. The oysters were one of the fresher ones, which is even better considering this is not a seafood restaurant specializing in it. Service is okay as they check up on you every so often, but it can be hard to flag down a server if you need anything more.

Yelp
I've always had my eye on House of Eve and finally got to go with some friends. It's a small, cozy space, with cute furnishings and some lounge areas. I liked the vibes since it wasn't too loud, despite being full of people. They also have a Happy Hour from 4-6pm that applies to drinks, shareables, and pastas. I started out with the mocktail Rosie Cheeks, which was very heavy on rose and mint. It was delightful and refreshing and probably one of my favorite drinks around the area! I am happy to see such a comprehensive zero-proof drinks menu and will def be back to try more. For starters, my friends and I got the Garlic Bread, House Salad, and Brussel Sprouts. My fav was definitely the brussel sprouts, they were so sweet with a nice honey balsamic glaze. The garlic bread was alright in my opinion, nothing special. I thought the house salad was interesting but could have used a bit more dressing. We got three pastas - the Pesto Gnocchi, Carbonara, and Bolognese. My fav by far was the gnocchi, I haven't had gnocchi that good in a restaurant before. The pesto is not too strong but flavorful enough. I do recommend the bolognese but am unsure about the carbonara - the pancetta was smoky so the whole dish felt a little off? But overall, pretty good. Finally, we got both the Panna Cotta and the Lava Cake. The panna cotta was a 2/5 but the lava cake was a 5/5, blew it out of the park. The berries on each dish made them better. I'd definitely say get the lava cake over the panna cotta. Overall, House of Eve made for a great dinner, and I'd love to come back!

Yelp
I was so happy with my visit a couple of weeks ago! The waitress was attentive and kept our water and drinks full, the food was fantastic, and the ambiance was amazing. We had quite a variety of options from the menu including oysters, miso mushroom pasta, pesto gnocchi, brussel sprouts, bread and butter, and cocktails. My favorite cocktail was The First Vice- not something I would normally opt for over the holidays as it is a lighter and more refreshing drink- but it was so delicious. The spot is smaller than I originally had thought but this place is awesome. Definitely not to be missed for a girls night out!

Yelp
Smaller venue than I had imagined it would be but overall the ambiance, service and food was really good! I think it's a great place for a HH or small get together!

Yelp
TLDR; amazing food, staff, and ambiance! Decor: So aesthetically pleasing. It's like industrial meets classy, meets glam, meets Crate and Barrel. Every detail of the restaurant is cohesive with the overall decor. The vision is definitely THERE and it was executed exquisitely. I can't speak too much on the ambiance since my group was one of two parties seated during a late lunch on Saturday, but I would say it's upscale, intimate, and cozy. Service: Everyone was so friendly! From the server who took our order, to the bartender who brought out our drinks. Food came out in a timely manner, but was also spaced out nicely since we ordered appetizers before our mains. Drinks: Most of my group opted for mocktails, and they were DELICIOUS. I feel like mocktails at most places are really just different juices mixed together, but it really felt like the same thought and effort went into creating these drinks as the drinks on their signature cocktail menu. Also my husband did order an espresso martini, and it was probably the best one I've had. I ordered the Chef's Kiss and it was truly, chef's kiss. Food: Chef Jerard absolutely KILLED it with the food! Presentation and taste were 100/10. We got several items for the table to share including the Bread & Butter, Oysters, Brussel Sprouts, and Roasted Potatoes. The Bread & Butter was probably my favorite, just because the flavors reminded me of childhood. For my main I ordered the Chipotle Chicken Sandwich and swapped the roasted potatoes for the Strawberry Kale Salad, and my husband ordered the Carbonara. Everything was literally SO good and so full of flavor! Everything blended beautifully - I'm drooling just thinking back to all the food. Thanks House of Eve for a wonderful first visit! I'll definitely be back :)

Yelp
Came here with a few friends for dinner on a Friday night after having it being recommended to me by a friend! They have an extensive drink menu! All four cocktails we ordered were a hit. Their food menu was a bit smaller which I appreciated since I'm a bit indecisive. I ordered the duck and it was good, a bit salty though. I was a bit caught off guard by the applied 20% service charge since we only had a party of 4. The decor was sleek and nice. I recommend if you come here to make reservations in advance.

Yelp
House of Eve is easily my favorite restaurant in South Lake Union for a variety of reasons. The ambiance is cozy but also intimate and the staff is always attentive. I'm always brining new people in to experience the atmosphere and the food. My favorite food is easily the brothers Alfredo. The potatoes with the chipotle sauce are also delicious. Another one of my favorite is the salad with the pears and hazelnuts. I've had brunch there once and the Dutch pancake is incredible. I've also tried all the desserts and those are great too. I had an opportunity to meet the chef, Jerard who is self taught and a really great guy. He's very passionate about the food, his team and the menu he has crafted with care. I've also had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Makayla, on several occasions and she's such a sweet person with a passion for people. She owns a coffee shop down the street called Evoke if you want to check that out. The other things I appreciate about House of Eve is even though they have beautifully crafted cocktails they have some great mocktails on the menu which is important for me since I don't drink. My favorites are Shirley Temprance and Rosie Cheeks. I will say their prices are high but that's honestly just the area and they do offer a great happy hour during the week. Overall if you're in SLU check this place out you won't regret it!

Yelp
TLDR; If Nordstrom designed a bar (I know they have one, but you get me...), I feel this would be what you would get. Things to be might not be peoples cup of tea: *Loud Club Music *High Prices with a auto 20% gratuity *Woke Messaging *Limited Food menu Let me say that all the above is not my cup of tea, BUT I still feel the cocktails alone, if your a cocktail fan are well worth your time. I was SHOCKED how complex and balanced each cocktail was. Service was really good also.
google avatar

Salina P.

Yelp
I love this spot, it is so chic and their cocktails are delicious! Especially the Art of Seduction. Service here is pretty friendly, however when it gets busy, the drinks tend to arrive slowly. They had only 2 servers for the whole restaurant when I visited, so that was understandable. However, they do charge a 20% service fee. Total bill for a dinner for 2 people came out to $140 lol. I ordered the carbonara and I felt that it was just alright. The rigatoni actually looked more tasty and I didn't think this was the best carbonara that I've had.
google avatar

Andrea C.

Yelp
It's cute. Very instagrammable. But that's the most I could say about it. I've had their cocktails, rigatoni, and gnocchi before. Pasta is subpar, not much flavor or depth to it, gnocchi was sitting in a pool of oil. Cocktails were mid at best. Gave it another chance and tried it again a 2nd time and while I sat at the bar, the owner called me "sweetie". I'm probably a decade older than her, and we're not in the South for that to be a term of endearment. I would say their fried potato wedges and brussel sprouts were good. But how can you mess that up? Both times I was there, there were groups for prom and 21 birthday runs. That sums up the atmosphere.

Our cappuccino and latte were yummy, but the milk wasn't steamed very well and was liquidy (not foamy). It looks like they have some good cocktails on the menu though, and good food options for dinner so I definitely want to stop by again and try the other stuff!

Yelp
Place has a lot of potential but needs some work. Drinks need to be a little more put together and I didn't really like the food. I felt that it was present well but the taste of the food wasn't five stars for me.

Yelp
Lovely interior. Would recommend a reservation and a follow up. We had text confirmation of ours but restaurant was still missing our rez. We got a couple of items. The house bread is large and a bit hard, I would ask for a knife to cut it! The butter however is so good. Art of Seduction is a nice Chai martini but it was almost too small for the class. We loved the Shirley's temperance, would only recommend if you like ginger beer as it is very strong. Pappardelle Alfredo was okay but lacked flavor. Best menu item was the Winter House salad. The dressing was perfect and honestly you could eat it as your meal. Can't wait to try it again!

Yelp
Food (2 of 2 stars): Came around 1 on a Saturday with a group that totaled 5 of us. I was surprised the place was empty considering how good this place is! To start, we ordered the bread and butter, Brussel sprouts, and roasted potatoes. Everything was super good and cooked to perfection! I also got an espresso martini which I highly suggest. The rest of the group also got various mocktails which they all really enjoyed! For a main, I got the carbonara which I really enjoyed especially because I've been craving pasta! Service (2 of 2 stars): All the staff were very attentive, from the servers to the bartenders. It could've been because we were the only ones in the restaurant but even as more people came later, their level of service was still really good! Ambiance (1 of 1 star): This place is very beautifully decorated. It has a really modern look to it, especially the bar area! Ambiance is great and so is location overall! I definitely recommend going here and would come back for sure!

Yelp
Me, my girlfriend and my MIL went a couple nights ago for the first time and it was genuinely so amazing. The food is delicious, so well crafted and the portioning was perfect. The service was amazing. Elizabeth was so kind, funny and friendly as well as Sicily. The ambiance was so warm and friendly but still fancy. The Tiramisu was delicious and the carbonara was so tasty. I couldn't recommend this place more.

Yelp
Steep pricing and really limited menu. The ambience and look of the restaurant are great for a get together among friends or even a date night. Servers were additionally friendly. However, there are few items on the menu. Alfredo dish was good for the first couple bites then became nauseating due to the fat content. This restaurant also charges an automatic 20% fee on your bill.

Yelp
Super cute place! Decor is so aesthetically pleasing. My friends made reservations here for a late birthday treat to me. Really spoiled I am. Service was great. We started with some drinks, a dozen oyster, and bread and butter. The oyster were on the smaller size but plump? I forgot what kind they were but so yummy! Definitely was not kushi. Butter for the bread was sweet and addicting. I kept reaching for it even though I needed to save room for the pasta she ordered. She ordered alfredo and bolognese. Pasta was okay, sauce was very fresh and light but nothing more than that. Have had better. They bought out complimentary chocolate lava cake for my birthday. I only took a bite and ate most of the fruit. Not a fan of chocolate but it was really good if you are a chocolate lover. It's very rich and decadent.

Yelp
Modern, Chic, Swanky, intimate location great for our monthly girls brunch or date night. We were celebrating 2 birthdays Loved supporting this female owned business. Ambiance is chill and decor is aesthetically pleasing. Our server was very attentive and great with food/drink suggestions. We even ended up ordering her own signature dish, salmon and cauliflower. (Not on menu) Food was tasty and well portioned. Drinks were pretty and unique, a little weak. We enjoyed: Food: Shakshuka Dutch baby Salmon and cauliflower Spiced Cauliflower Mikayla's Benedict Drinks: Manzana Margarita Mimosa Daisy's Whisper Espresso Cappuccino Ig: @seatownbrunchbaddies

Yelp
Went here with my friend on a Saturday afternoon, visiting from out of town. My Mikayla's Benedict was pretty good and very filling. Too much avocado and unexpectedly spicy though. Maybe because of the everything bagel or sauce? Would be better on a plain bagel and plain hollandaise. Generous serving of lox, and the eggs on top were poached well. Red wine was very good. Decor, ambiance and service were all excellent, so it was disappointing when my friend ordered the Shakshuka skillet and her eggs were tiny and rubbery, mostly herby sauce which was not very flavourful. Could have used more bread also. Hit and miss.

Yelp
The drinks were all really good! I had the Art of Seduction and Daisy's Whisper and liked both. My partner had Eve's Coffee, which he wasn't a huge fan of but I think he was expecting more chocolatey espresso martini than coffee cocktail. He enjoyed his pomegranate apple martini which was on special much more. We also split the Mac n cheese, which we liked too. The bartenders were very attentive, which made sense as we were seated at the bar, but they regularly checked in with us so that we never had empty water glasses and checked if we needed anything regularly. The ambiance was very trendy and modern and I'd definitely go back for drinks!

Yelp
It was date night last night so I left the camera at home. Went down to House Of Eve in South Lake Union. I have been wanting to try this spot for a while since its opening in January and felt that date night would be the perfect time to go. Overall the quality of the food was good, the atmosphere felt very nice, and the aesthetic and attention to small decor details was beautiful. In my opinion the service and attentiveness from the staff could have been a bit better but did not ruin the experience for us. One of the menu items we were excited to try, the Mama's Muscles, was unavailable due to a delay in their seafood shipment, but our waitress kindly gave us her opinion on an alternate dish we would enjoy. I will also add that their 'zero proof' drink options were a nice addition to their menu and are a nice option for people who still want to enjoy a beautifully made drink with their meal. We started off with the drinks Rosie Cheeks - Rose, Mint, Sparkling Water and Lemon Shirley's Temperance - Dark Cherry, Ginger Beer, Lime As a starter we shared the Eves House Salad - Green mixed, Honey vinaigrette, Fresh Pear, Shaved Parmesan, Toasted hazelnuts, Fresh Herbs For our entrees we chose Basil Pesto - Potato Gnocchi, with Salmon as an added protein Duck Duck Goose - Seared duck breast, Roasted carrots, fingerling potatoes, and a orange honey glaze. The portion sizing on the Duck entree was personally a bit small for myself, but can be filling for others. The quality was still great. It was a nice peaceful spot to enjoy dinner and drinks, especially if you like a space that isn't overcrowded and noisy. They also have a patio area with seating for people to enjoy during the warmer months. We are definitely looking forward to going back to try more of their menu options.

Yelp
I would go back in a heartbeat! It was a very good experience overall. Everyone was so nice and welcoming at this place. Well explained the menu and recommended really good suggestions. Aesthetically pleasing interior, though it is smaller space. You feel like you are sitting together with the group next to you. All the food we ordered came out pretty quick and we were surprised by how prompt the service was! Food was very good. Carbonara was to die for but it was a special menu that day. Everything tasted fresh. Panna cotta was amazing! So happy they had great mocktail options as I am a preggo. I wanted fancy looking mocktails that tasted delicious and they did that!

Yelp
Sophisticated, intimate cocktail bar with a lot of potential! I was excited to try this newer woman owned bar but wasn't completely sold on the details. The drinks although well balanced & tasty were not full. This would be forgiven in lieu of presentation at other establishments but for the price it was depressing. We decided at that point to only order bread & have dinner elsewhere. It didn't help that we were in a corner where a support column? Beam? was so close to my seat I could barely slide into my seat. It was clear they packed as many tables into the venue as possible. I get it. Overall not someplace that excites me but feel like I'll give them the benefit of the doubt & another shot in a couple months to see if they've made any improvements.

Yelp
BEST EXPERIENCE EVER took my boyfriend there for his birthday and the ambience was so sexy and sultry. Everyone in our party loved our cocktails and as a bartender I was watching and the bartenders did a fantastic job making everything to spec. It was an over the top experience and they accommodated our 6 person party instantly 10/10 would go back for every special event and for an every day event. This place knows no bounds. Effortless. Chefs kiss from start to finish

Yelp
My wife and her friends had the worst ladies night experience that they have ever had. Firstly, they were told that they weren't aloud to take any pictures because of other customers privacy and that customers don't appreciate being in the background of pictures? Then, because they knew that they had upset our table of 3 people, they automatically added a tip/service charge to the bill? What the hell is that about? We will never be back here and we hope that others heed our warning too.

Yelp
The place is super cute but I wouldn't recommend it based off the food and the service. I got the salmon: overcooked, dry, and almost inedibly salty. Our server, the hostess, and two other employees were sitting at the bar giggling and chatting it up with each other the whole time after my friend and I were seated. No one checked on us after the food came, and when they came over with the bill finally, we were told gratuity is included but we're welcome to give an additional tip.

Yelp
Okay so i had to try it for myself. After seeing some recent mixed reviews I went in knowing it could be a miss. And off I went. I went on a Sunday so there was lots of free street parking, and I noticed that the connected garage said parking is free on evenings and weekends. It is a nice swanky environment with the right lighting ambience. The tables are very close together so on a busy night it might get noisy. Now what you came here for, the food. Meh. So everything is alacarte, which means prices add up quickly. I went during happy hour time hoping to get a special. The only special was $2 off of the expensive cocktails - they were about $22 each. I ordered the appetizer salad ($16), and roasted potatoes ($14). Both were good but not worth the combined price. I also had the fettuccine Alfredo ($26), which was the star of the show. It was perfect and did not need any meat to accompany it. It was on the smallish side for portion, and the flavor was more complex than just your basic Alfredo. Would I go back? Not likely just because cost vs value, and they also add 20% gratuity to each bill.

Yelp
House of Eve was amazing experience from start to finish - it's a beautiful, restaurant that's perfect for a girl's night out or a date night. I showed up solo on my trip to Seattle - it was in a perfect location walking distance from my hotel in South Lake Union. I would say the vibe is intimate, upscale, but at the same time welcoming and cozy. The place is super clean, the decor is just stunning especially if you're sitting at the bar. I also love how proud they are to be woman founded and source a lot of their spirits from local women, LGBTQ+, and/or BIPOC-owned brands. It's pretty hard to find places that are strong about uplifting their local communities like that. Onto the service and food - I was seated at the bar and the bartender was super helpful and quick with all of my needs. I went with an Art of Seduction drink - perfect for anyone who loves an espresso martini, this is a similar vibe. It was perfectly sweet, not too spirit forward. I also opted for the brussel sprouts - probably my least favorite item that I ordered but not terrible. I would definitely have preferred the brussel sprouts to be roasted just a tad bit longer to become more tender, or have more parmesan/salt to balance out the sweetness from the balsamic and cranberries. By far, my favorite dish was the rigatoni bolognese. The pasta was perfectly coated with the delicious sauce, it came in just the right size for a single serving. The rigatoni is probably something you don't want to miss out on. Overall, super impressed with the restaurant from the decor, to their mission statement, and their food and drinks. It sucks that I am not from Seattle - but I highly recommend anyone in the area to check them out and support this business.

Yelp
This is such a cute place with great food. I went for brunch with a group of 4 on a Saturday at 1 pm. We had a reservation, but there was room to walk in. We got 2 salads to share for the table, and honestly, this was my favorite dish! The pear in the salad was perfectly ripe, and the mix of greens and cranberries made it super filling. The brussel sprouts were dressed similarly to the salad, but not quite as good. The shakshuka and breakfast sandwich were solid dishes (good flavors, but nothing special). And then cocktails! I got the Art of Seduction, which was a lovely sweet drink with almost an eggnog vibe. Great vibe with fun pop music on in the background. And our server was fantastic, personable, and checked in just frequently enough.

Yelp
Honestly everything about our experience eating here was awesome. - they have a huge cocktail list and every one we tried was unique and well balanced - We ordered two pastas: the miso mushroom bucatini and the pesto gnocchi. Both were awesome - the gnocchi was my favorite but my companions preferred the miso mushroom. Both are top tier dishes!!!! - we got the strawberry kale salad. Normally ordering salad feels like a punishment but this was actually SO DELICIOUS. And the salad was enormous. Nice ambiance, great service. It immediately became a new favorite spot! I'm only stressed that next time I will be torn between ordering the same things vs trying something new!

Yelp
We were sat immediately and the inside is so gorgeous! The brussel sprouts were 10/10 so good and so much flavor!! Definitely recommend those and the cocktails!

Yelp
Today was my first time here and I will definitely be coming back! I loved the ambience, service was great and the food was delicious! The Brussels sprouts are so good I even got an extra order to go!

Yelp
I went here for my birthday dinner on Oct 3 and this was definitely the right choice! We had a large table (party of 11) and the restaurant was super responsive via email and accommodating with my quantity and state time changing a few times leading up to the day. The food and drinks were delish, a fan favorite of the table was the brussel sprouts! The service was also great, and they even obliged us in taking a group picture in our matching denim outfits. The scenery of the restaurant and ambiance was also beautiful, clean, sophisticated. I will definitely be back here!
