House of Hütter - Heidelberg Suites & Spa, a Design Boutique Hotel Heidelberg, Germany

"These suites and apartments provide a beautiful place to stay in Heidelberg. They are located on the River Neckar, next to the Old Bridge and a short walk from all attractions. Heidelberg Suites is a boutique hotel on the site of a splendid villa with a private spa, which was originally built at the turn of the 20th century. The suites have been meticulously restored and stylishly designed by an internationally renowned architect and designer. The rooms and suites at this Small Luxury Hotels accommodation offer all modern amenities to ensure guests a comfortable stay. Most offer a view of the Old Bridge and Heidelberg Castle. The luxury accommodation combines Italian architecture and German romanticism. Guests can have breakfast and enjoy a diner tasting fish specialties in the in-house Scharff's Restaurant, located on a ship overlooking the river. A limited number of parking spaces is available at the property, and there is a public car park 800 metres away. Guests are allowed to drive up to the property to drop off and pick up their luggage." - My Boutique Hotel (en)

Heidelberg Suites (Heidelberg, Baden-Wurttemberg) 6 Hotel Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Germany’s urban centers are magnets for hospitality experiments, for cutting-edge art and design. Heidelberg, by contrast, is a trip back in time. This is the Oxford of Germany, if you like, and the university, the churches, and Heidelberg Castle are exemplars of a long-ago Germany that’s vanishingly hard to find in the more modern cities. And it’s against this historical backdrop, in this most traditional of cities, that the Heidelberg Suites must be understood." - Tablet Hotels

My husband and I stayed at House of Hütter during our trip to Germany, and from the moment we arrived, it was an absolute pleasure. Sofie welcomed us and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.|As soon as we entered our suite, we knew we were in for a wonderful experience. Everything felt so cozy and inviting—and the view from our room was simply breathtaking. We could see Heidelberg Castle perched by the river right from our window!|Breakfast was a delight, with the beautiful breakfast tower and the option to have eggs prepared just the way we liked. Sofie kindly provided us with a list of local restaurants to try which made the evening seamless and memorable.|We couldn’t have asked for a better stay. I would highly recommend House of Hütter to anyone visiting the area!

The views, location, staff, and charming suite saying superb is an understatement...the note in our suite was extra special treat after flying and traveling for 18 hours. We loved this small hotel. It is in a beautiful location on a historic street. Our room had incredible views of the river and Heidelberg. The old town was a short walk across the bridge, and the Philosopher’s Walk trailhead was even closer. We enjoyed watching the sunset over the castle from our room and people watching from our windows.

Ok perfect hotel. Great location beautiful rooms. Friendly staff. Air conditioning. Close to old Heidelberg. Wish we stayed her longer and ditched Rothenburg earlier. Definitely stay here again. Be sure to reserve parking if you have a car.

A beautiful little boutique hotel right on the river in quaint, gorgeous Heidelberg. Alexander and the rest of the staff was extremely polite and made the welcoming very friendly. We were also upgraded in our room and were giving a large suite right above the entrance, which had amazing views of the water and old town Heidelberg. The room itself was quite large and had a full bedroom and lounge area and we really appreciated it. We also dined in the hotel restaurant for breakfast each morning and that too was lovely. They have a small gym behind the hotel, which has decent equipment and also great views of the city. This place is extremely walkable as well. You can walk out the door and be in old town or any of the famous sites in town in less than 10 minutes. Pricing is very fair for this level of quality hotel and I honestly would happily stay here again and would recommend to anyone visiting town to stay here as well. Thank you for a wonderful time!

An incredible boutique hotel. Staff were exceptionally accommodating and helpful, even offering dining recommendations upon arrival. Rooms are beautiful and well maintained, any renovations don't seem to detract from their original character. Breakfast was lovely, with an assortment of german bakes, and can also be served in room. Located right on the river, you are only a 10 minute walk away from the Alstadt. Highly recommended and would stay again!

Incredible service from the moment we walked in (straight off a long flight!) till the moment we left (early morning). Our stay here was nothing short of perfect. We loved the compact but yummy breakfast! Incredible bread choices. Julia & her team took such good care of us! Amazing view of the castle and the bridge, very conveniently located. Would highly recommend this place & definitely look forward to coming back!

My husband and I recently stayed at House of Hütter | Heidelberg Suites for two nights during our trip through Germany to explore the Christmas markets. While our stay was fine, it fell short of being exceptional. The property seems like it might have been stunning in its prime, but it now feels a bit dated. We noticed several issues, including mold and mildew in the rooms, damaged curtains and lampshades, wall markings, and an overuse of artificial plants throughout the space. Pictures were literally falling out of their frames, giving the space an unpolished and neglected look. Additionally, our tea light candle was completely burned out when we checked into the room, which made the space feel less clean. I requested a replacement candle and was assured one would be delivered to our room, but it never arrived. The hot tub was also out of order, and the landscaping appeared messy and unkempt, which was surprising given the hotel's glowing reviews online. On the bright side, our room had a wonderful view of the castle and old town area, which was truly a highlight of our stay. However, the spa left much to be desired—it was quite small, and after staying at a hotel in Nuremberg that offered complimentary saunas, we were surprised by the additional charge to use the sauna here. The staff was friendly and welcoming, but they seemed young and relatively inexperienced, which sometimes left the service feeling a bit disorganized. Overall, while the location and view were lovely, the overall experience didn’t live up to the high expectations set by its online reputation.
