House of illusions

I thought this would be a bit of a waste of money and a bit twee but it's actually really fun. Some of the illusions you'll have seen before but a lot you won't have and some are really funny/engaging. The upside down room photos are fun in particular The best thing is the staff who are really enthusiastic and without them this place wouldn't be nearly as good. Be aware it is quite small so you'll have to wait 1 in 1 out at busy times. The moving (not moving) walkway is quite nausea inducing so don't drink too much slush before going in it

Very interesting and clever display that caters to all age groups. We were especially impressed by the enthusiasm of the staff, especially Nika, who offered to take photos of our group and helped us to pose in ways that captured the illusions as digital keepsakes. It was a great way to spend an hour or so on a hot summer's afternoon!

Good fun, good for kids. The people who work there are very friendly. Included for free in the Ljubljana pass.

The displays are well done and engaging, but the space is quite limited, so the visit doesn’t take very long — particularly when it’s crowded. 🚫 Be aware: there is no elevator, so strollers aren’t recommended, and accessibility may be an issue for those with limited mobility. 👉 A light and entertaining stop in the center of Ljubljana — best suited for families with kids looking for a short, fun break.

Very friendly staff members, they helped us make some amazing pictures. The exhibits are fun and make you question what is real and what is not, which is quite a humbling experience. We loved the puzzles at the end and the shop. We highly recommend the visit!

Very cool! Great for small groups and all ages. A very jovial place and a great contrast if you've been doing tons of very serious museums. A great way to spend some time, especially if it's raining!

The House of Illustrations features exhibitions and portraits that provoke thought and creativity. While it’s an enjoyable experience, it is better suited for teenagers and families. Adults may find many of the exhibits less engaging or impactful.

What a amazing find! Nothing related to the (amazing) culture Ljubljana, but just a fun afternoon out. And it's as much fun for adults as it is for kids!! Watch the queues though - would recommend buying tickets online, especially on days where the weather isn't great!
