House of illusions

From the moment you enter this place, you’re greeted by friendly and smiling staff. All the exhibits are fantastic, and we truly had a great time. It’s very clean. There’s also a space where you can leave your belongings. This is a place that really surprised us, and we’re very glad we visited it.

The House of Illusions is worthwhile visiting on a rainy day, and ideally during the week when the crowds aren't around. You can book ahead online (make sure you use the actual HoI website and don't get caught laying additional fees on a third-party ticketing item). There are some really fun rooms (eg. The vortex tunnel and the infinite mirror disco) but others feel a bit tired. There are some interesting posters on the walls but most won't be appreciated by their target audience (kids). Overall, good fun for an hour or two.

First time in Slovenia on the 10th February 2026, first visit in Ljubljana city. I have been greeted by four friendly girls members staff. At the evening between 19h30 to 20h30 PM, me alone in the museum, no one, just me. I have met amazing and crazy blonde girl. I didn’t exactly remember her name : something like “ Eva “ or not. I’m sorry I didn’t remember her name she has said to me 🫢. I didn’t say to her my name 🙄. I wonder why she’s interested in France🇫🇷 and Thailand🇹🇭 countries 🤔I’m curious. I’m glad to have met this nice person : because I’m dual citizen from these two countries. I don’t know why she has been very nice with me 😳. I would recommend anyone to visit this nice museum. That’s has been an unexpected and crazy meeting with this person. Beware I’m open-minded master Jedi. At this day I have felt some alterations and strangers energies in the power of the force. I’m doing some meditations when I’m sleeping. I apologise for the inconvenience of this crazy review. And I might have some problems with certain persons 🙈. คบคุณครับ 🙏Merci.

Its a bit small for the price, as we have been to many others. Its also school holidays so we had to pay extra, but its not written anywhere on the website - not that I read the fine prints!. We enjoyed a few things especially the vertical tunnel, but the rest is ok, can be better. 1 hour is more than enough.

It was ok, but a bit disappointing for the price you pay. We bought tickets online so we wouldn't have to wait at the door, but it was still very crowded. I feel they let too many people in at the same time. We had to wait a long time to see many of the exhibits. I agree with some reviews who said the rooms were worn and could use an update.

I thought this would be a bit of a waste of money and a bit twee but it's actually really fun. Some of the illusions you'll have seen before but a lot you won't have and some are really funny/engaging. The upside down room photos are fun in particular The best thing is the staff who are really enthusiastic and without them this place wouldn't be nearly as good. Be aware it is quite small so you'll have to wait 1 in 1 out at busy times. The moving (not moving) walkway is quite nausea inducing so don't drink too much slush before going in it

We had a very fun time during our visit to the museum. The lady that works there was very polite, even took photos of us while also giving us ideas for a certain pose. Would recommend it to everyone who wants to spent some relaxing and fun time with friends or family.

A lovely family program for a rainy day in Ljubljana. The museum has a good collection of visual illusions, lots of interactive and funny activities. It is enjoyable both for children and adults. The athmosphere is friendly and creative (don't miss the disco in the toilet🤩). The staff is friendly, one really can sense that they love this place, happy yo provide experiences for the visitors, and implement new ideas.
