Google
First time dinning at House of Lechon and we are very satisfied not only with the food but most of the all by the service and hospitality of the staff. I would like to commend Jerome especially for making our first time stay the best! We will surely be back to try other dishes on their menu. They deserve more than 5 stars.

I thought House of Lechon was just another regular restaurant, but never did I imagine being immersed in such a cool food atmosphere. The food not only looks great but tastes amazing too. The vibe of the place is awesome, and the staff are super friendly and hospitable. Since I get full easily, I just ordered 1/8 kg of Carcar lechon, 2 puso (hanging rice), iced tea, and mango mochi for dessert. As you can see from the photo, I devoured the lechon right away and even forgot to take a proper picture because it was that good! I’ll definitely come back here the next time I visit Cebu.

Google
Great experience. We ordered 1/2 kg lechon for 2 people and it was delicious. 🤤 I believe my cholesterol went up a little 🤣. Daily fresh lechon !! Better come early around 6pm as they run out of lechon after 9pm

Google
This is one of the most hospitable restaurants I’ve been to. The place is warm and spacious, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Their lechon is fantastic, and the unique mango mochi offers a light yet flavorful treat for the taste buds. Overall, it was a memorable dining experience and truly a must-visit when in Cebu.

Google
I had a fairly pleasant dining experience at House of Lechon. Arriving with an empty stomach, I found the food quite satisfying — flavorful and filling. While it didn’t completely wow me, it certainly met expectations. A few dishes were slightly on the salty side for my personal taste, but nothing too overwhelming. Overall, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the service was efficient. House of Lechon stands out as a solid choice for those looking to explore local flavors while traveling in the Philippines.

Google
It's said that when the vibe is right, the food tastes a whole lot better. House of Lechon is just about this. Awesome food is elevated by a very welcoming atmosphere and a keen attention to details by the great staff of this place. Note that the queue can get really long on peak hours, but the wait is well worth it. I especially like how helpful one of their staff, Angel, has been in attending to my needs. She's very polite and exudes a very positive vibe towards all the tables she assisted, as I've observed. The spicy lechon I had was awesome! Nice and crispy skin, really flavorful meat that's been made even better by the sauce (that I assume came from lechon drippings). As I was only dining alone on my trip, I unfortunately couldn't order more. However, both the lechon and the mixed vegetables I've tried were really awesome. I wish I could've ordered more of the lechon. Will certainly come back here when I visit Cebu again.

Air condition was broken…. But friendly and attentive service! - Iced Tea Sweet - Mango Shake Delicious!! - Lechon 3.6/5 Lechon was okay. The skin was really really hard to chew. Fatty pieces. - Butter Lemon Shrimp 4.1/5 Grilled shrimp with a buttery garlic sauce. It was yummy, kind of greasy. - Turon 1.8/5 The skin was really hard to break. Too much caramelized sugar. The ube ice cream was delicious. Free parking in lot

Google
House of Lechon is a must when visiting Cebu! We went during lunch and the place was packed but we were seated promptly as it is a large restaurant. Enjoyed watching the kitchen prepare Lechon while waiting for a table. The Lechon was tender and juicy but unfortunately the skin is not crispy at all which was a disappointment for me. Nevertheless, I do recommend you try it so you have something to compare with when visiting another local favorite Lechon eatery!😍

Yelp
Didn't really have too much expectations for this place, really thought it was going to be all hype. They proved me wrong food was sooooo goood. Service was even better, all the staff was amazing.

Yelp
Before I got to order, I witnessed what the staff does for a birthday. In addition to a staff dance, the birthday recipient gets a dessert. My wait to order was about 15 minutes. Similar to ordering at a bar in the States, I was already provided the bill for the items I have ordered. My initial choice of coconut water had run out, so I settled for bottled water. Unlike canned soda, neither bottled water, nor bottled beer as observed at nearby tables, comes with a glass with ice. Most likely due to the bottle already chilled. I decided on the Lechon Meal which included 90g of Lechon compared to 125g for a single serving on their regular menu. Compared to 399P, a single serving of lechon and rice would have been between 465-485P, depending on the Carcar Special or Spicy Lechon, as well as, regular or garlic rice. The Lechon Meal was extremely delicious especially with the standard (Flavor 1) dipping sauce. I poured half of it over the rice and the remainder for dipping. The portion was appropriate as I had sufficient room for dessert. Sadly, the restaurant had run out of several desserts, including the Moist Chocolate Cake. Hopefully, it was a miscommunication due to language barrier. My waiter seemed to say they run out in the mornings. The restaurant charges a 5% gratuity. Since the gratuity is not included in the menu price, the VAT is slightly reduced.

Yelp
We stopped by the House of Lechon for lunch because we heard you can't leave Cebu without trying the lechon. From the moment we arrived we received an energetic, friendly greeting from the hostess. She explained the desserts, where the restroom was located, and advised us we could take a picture of the pig. The restaurant was nice and clean. They have a bar but they only sell shots of alcohol and not cocktails. We ordered the Red Horse Beer because our server said it was good. We started out with the cheese sticks and they were cheesy and DELICIOUS! We then had the 1/4 of Lechon for two people. They sold out of the spicy in the morning so we got the Special CarCar Lechon. We also had the garlic rice as a side. Overall, the food was good and I'm glad we tried it. The restaurant is also cute and clean, and they have an indoor and outdoor dining area.

Yelp
Their dishes were all delicious, but their mango mochi (50 PHP) were to die for. I think about them sometimes; they used fresh mango and cream inside a soft mochi skin. We also ordered the mango shake, special carcar lechon, baked scallops (solo), lechon sisig, and clam corn soup. The lechon skin was crispy and the meat was juicy and flavourful. The baked scallops were ok, but I would probably not order them again since the creamy cheese-like sauce was not to my taste. The sisig, although the plate looked small, was quite a large portion of when eaten with garlic rice. The clam corn soup felt cleansing for all the oily items that we had ordered and there were six decent-sized calms in our soup. Service was very good and the food came quickly. The bathrooms were cleaned and swept regularly. There were many locals and travelers visiting and it gave a homey vibe. There is a small parking lot in front of the restaurant allowing for one row of cars. For Grab users, you will get picked up or dropped off at either end of the parking lot since most Grab drivers won't want to drive onto the property.

Yelp
Lechon is often underrated so we decided to fly to Manila, Philippines and then went to Cebu via Cebu-Pacific Air to taste the famous Lechon extraordinaire. We decided to go to the House of Lechon which was featured in many ads all over the country. I often ate this dish with a special sweet livery sauce but this didn't need anything with it, the meat was tender, the skin was crispy and the aroma was lemony and a taste of heavenly creamy pork meat. We invited our Taxi driver to dinner and he too enjoyed the Lechon, despite being a local when it comes to this dish in the city. This restaurant was half-full and we saw several foreign visitors in the city: Koreans, Brits, Americans, Canadians and other la who all flew from Manila. Interesting mix of clients and Lechon lovers, who also raved the taste of this Lechon dish. I've had Lechon all my life from the Philippines and other Asian countries including that from Spain with a different name but this Lechon is above and beyond others. The next day, our Taxi driver suggested we try another restaurant who specializes in Lechon called the CNT restaurant. He raved about their meats and claims to be the best in the Philippines BUT I'd say, the House of Lechon is still the best. The House of Lechon also serves other equally tasty dishes like Pinakbet or sautéed vegetables, and many other delicacies. Parking average and staff spoke English very well compared to ALL of the Asian countries, the Filipinos really are English speakers. Prices are inexpensive and staff here are the best!

Yelp
Loved it! The ambiance was super nice, would be really great for a celebration or a big group. The service was very attentive, efficient, and kind. The food was soooo good! Everything was delicious. Had the special carcar lechon, garlic rice, pinakbet, mango smoothie, and special bibingka I was surprised at how much I loved everything Pinakbet - so well cooked, loved the vegetable variety, even the bitter melon! Lechon - duh so good, crispy crackling skin, succulent meat, dip in the meat juice goodness and then in a bit of vinegar or a squeeze of the calamansi and oh my goshhhhh! The mango smoothie - so refreshing and delightful. The little mango topper is probably the best mango I've ever had Special bibingka - salted egg and cheddar!? Made it savory sweet goodness. Compared to the states, also so affordable. 10/10 would come back

Yelp
Recommended by a friend and I was not disappointed. Food quality was there but most of the ambience and the server's was on point.

Yelp
Everyone here is so friendly and welcoming. Food was abs delicious. Hubby and I enjoyed ourselves for sure. It gets busy in here. Ambiance is very nice. Great prices for lechon. Mixed crowd for sure. One star off cause I had a huge mosquito in my ice tea..but i couldn't tell if it was already in the juice or it flew in. Either way it was in there.

Yelp
Love this place! If you want good food in Cebu and want to try lechon then this is the place to be

Yelp
As advertised. Make sure you go to the right place because there are a lot of places that specialize in lechon. Everything was legit.

Yelp
Note - You need to be here during their Lechon delivery times (9am, 12pm, 5pm) if you want to get Lechon. We came at 3pm on a Wednesday and they were sold of of their 12pm shipment. The next delivery wasn't until 5pm! We asked the waitress to see if anything we left and we were able to get 1/4 kilo of leftover lechon. They had to deep fry the skin which wasn't as good as the fresh crispy lechon. We also order the grilled tuna, kinilaw, and ngohiong. The kinilaw and ngohiong were my favorites. The kinilaw tasted fresh and delicious with coconut milk. The ngohiong was very crispy and had great spice flavor. OH can't forget their buko pandan shake. Absolutely delicious. Overall, I was sad we didn't get to try the true famous lechon, but we made the most of the rest of the meal!

Irma N.

Yelp
The hype was not all that. Came from the US to tour Cebu and this was one of the place to check out. The skin was chewy and the lechon was cold when it arrived on our table. We asked to heat it up the lechon but it took a long time I had to remind the server to check on it and by the time it came back it got cold again. So this is definitely not a place for lechon. Oh I forgot to say it had no flavor even after dipping in the sauce. I can get lechon in the US so much better.

Yelp
if you like Lechon , you'll like House of Lechon. Everything about lechon you'll find here. Except good parking. that is definitely missing !!

Rogelio M.

Yelp
Best lechon we've tried in Cebu or in PI. Never had spicy lechon and it was great. Meat was tender and flavorful. We didn't get a lot of crunchy skin but just the delicious meat alone made it worth it. Next time we travel to this region we want to check out Talisay where it really goes down!
google avatar

Yelp
Great super busy restaurant with excellent food! we ordered so much food and EVERYTHING was fabulous except the grilled tuna belly. The tuna belly tasted fishy. Not fresh. Spicy Lechon - Yummy! we ordered fried cheese sticks but we got chili stuffed cheese sticks - still yummy! Both the rice and noodle dish were yummy! grilled pork belly was yummy! Mixed veggies and fried veggies were both yummy! ice candy and both desserts were yummy!

Yelp
Cebu Lechon is supposed to be very flavorful and salted well but their lechon is extremely salty that one can't taste the flavor of the roasted pork anymore. The lechon skin was not even crunchy. Their product is also way more expensive compared to other lechon places. Even the dipping vinegar is loaded with salt. No wonder there's hardly any people in the restaurant when we took our order. Very disappointed as this place USED TO BE recommended.
google avatar

Joel B.

Yelp
If you want authentic Cebuano lechon, then going for the typical lechon restos in Cebu will fail you. While the likes of Rico's and House of Lechon were good back when they started out, once they went full throttle on branching out on multiple locations and offering menu more than lechon, their lechon quality also degraded. Go for CnT, Alejo's, Jai Alai(place not resto), Talisay, and obviously Carcar.

Yelp
We heard about House of Lechon while researching for some spots to check out for lechon. First the food was OK. Sadly they didn't have spicy carcar so we got 1/4 kilos of the car car lechon. Skin wasn't that crispy but it still had good flavor. Wish I could have given my husband a better first experience of lechon. We also got the sisig. Flavor for it was amazing but wish it was hotter. I remember it being room temp that the egg barely cooked when we mixed it. Service was mediocre. Service in restaurants in the Philippines aren't the best. You usually have to flag down your waiter and they won't come to your table to take your order or give you the bill unless you call for them. This isn't always the case but it was definitely prevalent here. One of the waiters gave us someone else's change and it took awhile for us to get someone to give it back! Overall, food here is OK. It definitely is a little overhyped.

Yelp
The hyped is not worth the wait! It's my first time visiting Cebu and my tour guide brought me here. I'm traveling from California with my wife and 11mo's baby. We requested to sat down inside where there's a/c because my baby can't tolerate the heat and the humidity. Despite the hostess know our circumstances, they still sat us down outside even there's still couple of vacant tables inside. Then our food took forever and was cold when we got it. The manager of our section didn't even bother checked in our table, when I see him walking around and checking all the other foreigner around me. It was so hyped leaving us totally disappointed with our experience. Maybe the color of my skin is not enough to give us priority compared to the other light skinned colored guest that was well accommodated.

Yelp
Our driver recommended House of Lechon on our trip to Cebu. It's a very touristy restaurant and you're going to pay tourist price, but the ambience and food is very good. I grew up eating Filipino my whole life and I honestly felt that the food was very delicious and authentic enough here with an upscale twist. They like to use more citrus flavors in their dishes, wish I really like. You obviously have to try the lechon here, since it's their specialty, but you can't go wrong with anything else on their menu. I tried the watermelon juice and it seriously so refreshing and with natural flavor. Service is excellent with the servers being very attentive. I can see why this is a popular spot among travelers.

Yelp
House of Lechon has a catchy little jingle - as tasty as its food is. We came with family, and it was nothing short of a feast. The lechon was tasty paired with garlic rice (not featured). We sampled our way through appetizers (baked scallops, calamari, and fish balls) into the fish (tuna belly) and lechon, and finished with a tasty treat pulled from the tree (ice candy). The food was plentiful, and the service was stellar. Highly recommend for those who want a variety of delicious dishes.

Yelp
In addition to the roast pork or lechon that is expectedly good, I would like to point out some of their creative choices for serving wares. The lechon was served in a wooden bowl in the shape of a pig's head. The soy sauce and vinegar was served in a small, shared 1-piece glass bottle which simultaneously holds both sauces. The Carcar lechon was very flavourful on its own. Its meat was properly spiced and seasoned and good enough to eat on its own even without any sauce added. 2 kilos of the lechon was good enough to be shared for our group of 10 people. We also wanted to order their spicy lechon, but dissapointingly it was not available at the time. Our other orders was the baked scallop and the kinilaw or kilawin which I also enjoyed. I liked how the melted cheese went so well with the scallop. My only gripe was that the serving size was small and it only had small portions. Another dish we tried was the ngohiong which was such a letdown. House of Lechon's ngohiong was closer to a spring roll or lumpiang shanghai than it is to an actual Chinese-style ngohiong. It should be adequaty spiced and come out at least close to how a kikiam is.

Yelp
I lived in Cebu the first 15 years of my life. During my childhood days, we used to enjoy the beach and have a lechon lunch every Sunday. This House of Lechon was definitely a disappointment. This was my first time at this restaurant but upon entering the restaurant I could already tell that the lechon they would be serving would not be as tasty as I had expected. First, the traditional lechon would be a lot smaller in size (probably around 10 to 20 kilos only) while the lechon I could see behind the glass was a giant sized lechon, meaning that it has a lot more fat underneath the skin. Any crispiness to their lechon would be limited to certain parts of it only while the rest would be soft. The fact that it is a giant sized lechon means that it is full of fat and meat is a lot thicker such that the spices and sauce added during the roasting process are not able to penetrate; hence, less of the tasty goodness from the spices. The 2nd issue I had with this restaurant is that their servings seemed like leftover lechon from the night before. We ordered a 1/2 kilo plate that was served to us consisting merely of a slice or 2 of still crispy skin (but full of fat underneath the crispy skin) while the rest were soft and soggy. In addition, the meat that was served in the plate were thick chunks of meat that had no taste at all. Very disappointed with my dinner here. The reason I wanted to eat lechon was due to the crispy skin. If they couldn't even serve that, then no reason at all to come here. If one were a tourist and does not know the difference, then have a try. But this is definitely not a tasty lechon (regardless of the name they put on their dish - Cebu, Carcar, etc). I would look elsewhere for a taste of lechon on my next visit to Cebu.

Yelp
Most of the diners here today were foreigners. Not surprisingly! Their main attraction is their Carcar style lechon using native pig that are no larger than 30 lbs. They're more than just lechon. They have delicious, high quality dishes as well. Small wonder they have 19K followers on facebook, and 10.3K followers on Instagram. Nice dining experience at this restaurant with a trendy island resort vibe
google avatar

Diego R.

Yelp
I ordered the 1/8 kg of lechon and it was the best I've ever tasted! Hands down, without a doubt! The meat was so delicious, juicy and tender. The skin was crunchy too! I'll definitely be returning! Also, don't pay with "OLD" bills. Because they won't accept it! I guess one of them I gave her was wrinkled...odd but okay.

Yelp
When visiting the Philippines the one thing that everyone tells you to do is to try the lechon. That was my first order of business after landing. Of course I've eaten it before and even made it myself, but all of my Filipino friends say that it's best in country. This restaurant was very busy and popular. A good (and healthy) sign I've noticed in less developed countries. The Decour reminded me of Island life and was very well staffed, no dish left uncovered slash/no water dropping below half/someone always at your beckon call. I ordered the smallest lechon dish and soon realized it was too much for one person. I want to say it was at least one pound of pork and came with garlic rice. I paired it nicely with sweetened calamansi juice, which perfectly cleansed my palate before and after the meal. I would've drank a second glass of that juice if possible! It's doubtful I'll ever be in Cebu again, but if I were and I wanted lechon this would be the place. Only 4 stars because this place is a bit overpriced.

Yelp
My mom and I went to the House of Lechon, which was part of our tour of Cebu. When we arrived around noon, the inside of the restaurant was packed. Luckily the restaurant was really big, and there was plenty of outdoor seating. Despite it being really hot and humid, the outdoor fans did a good job of making the temperature tolerable. I had an overall positive experience of the place. Customer service was good, and the food came out 15 min after we ordered. We ordered 1/4kg of spicy lechon, crispy chicken skin, mixed vegetables, and bam-I bisayas. I would definitely go as far saying that the House of Lechon's lechon was the best I've had... even better than lechon back at home in the US. The spicy lechon had such amazing flavor from all its seasonings. The skin was crispy, and the meat was very tender. Chicken skin is the best part of fried chicken, am I right?! Had to get it as the appetizer. It was exactly as advertised, and I was good with that. The mixed vegetables dish was totally fine. I got it since I needed some vegetables in my life, so it was a plus that it more than exceeded my expectations. The vegetables included cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, and bell peppers. They were all stir fried in oyster sauce. Lastly, the bam-I bisayas was delicious. It had a mix of bihon (skinny rice) noodles and Canton (thick egg) noodles. I'm used to pancit being dry, so I liked how this version of pancit was kind of soupy.

Yelp
What a total disappointment. Highlight of our meal was the cheese stick appetizer. We had 14 people in our party and not one was satisfied with this place. Their specialty lechon was a rip off as half of the weight (order by weights) was bones!!! The service was subpar as the server kept forgetting what was ordered and even though we already had drinks, he was asking as if the drinks he had was ours! Wait for the orders we long and we were done with our meal and they started coming out with the other orders which we sent back. No napkins at the table and when asked for more, they gave us mediocre amount which their napkins were cut in half! This place is a joke. Seriously, don't come here. Zebuchon down the street is a world better than this place.

Yelp
When locals of Cebu want to celebrate a special event, many pay a visit to "The House of Lechon." It's quite fancy, minus the table cloth. They have a ginormous (hahaha) dining area both indoors and outdoor. We dined here for Valentine's Day. Their Lechon (roasted pig cooked underground covered with banana leaves) was surprisingly, delicious! It literally melted in our mouth! Another favorite of ours was their freshly made mango shake. I think they used more than three fresh mangos per glass which was fantastic. It was so good. I can understand why the locals come here for their special events. Service was great, and of course being Valentine's Day, we had a romantic dinner style. Cheers!

Yelp
Late Anthony Bourdain went to Cebu to get the best BBQ. You may ask where do local Cebuano's go to to get their favorite BBQ, the answer is House of Lechon. This place has not just the traditional Lechon (pork BBQ) but they also have many local desserts and local fish lapu lapu. They have quite a few drinks made of locally found citrus fruits and coconut.

Nida T.

Yelp
The taste is bland.. serving too little...lechon served with too many bones..not crispy..the sauce...too oily, buko pandan can't taste the buko nor the pandan. Sinigang ...soy sauce and some sour tastes. But if you are hungry...just fine.

Yelp
Yummy Yummy Yummy. Went here as part of a tour and we ordered a bit of everything. Soooooo good. The picture is of the empty plates just to show how much we liked it.

Marthe H.

Yelp
Very poor experience at this restaurant, a far cry from the reviews we had read before going. You're promised pork in your dish, and you end up with pork liver (cheaper for the restaurant owner but not the same taste when served). A total disregard for the customer. Here is our experience: We arrived at 8 PM, and due to its success, there was no more lechon available. We understood and decided to still eat there. We waited over 20 minutes for a waiter to come and take our order. We chose noodles with pork, shrimp, and vegetables. The pork turned out to be pork liver!!! It has nothing to do with what we expected, and we were deceived. It was the end of the service, so I imagine only the offal was left in the kitchen. We notified the waiter, who did acknowledge that it was pork liver and also admitted that it wasn't stated on the menu. The dish was not good, we didn't eat it, and there was no compensatory gesture. To me, this is deceit. We received our dishes at 8:45 PM and 5 minutes later were asked to pay and leave because the restaurant was closing at 9 PM. It's disgraceful, a lie, we do not recommend.

Cesar M.

Yelp
The Lechon were delicious . I would recommend the spicy lechon. I can't wait to go back to the HOUSE OF LECHON next time I'm in Cebu City!

Yelp
First time in Cebu City and was looking for a restaurant that had lechon. Asked the concierge and House of Lechon came highly recommended and was within a 5 minute walk from our hotel. Arrived at around 8 pm on a Thursday for a late dinner (took us 4.5 hours to arrive to our hotel from the port at Maya). The restaurant is sorta tucked away on a dark side street but the front sign was clearly lit. The restaurant was about half full, we were quickly seated at a booth and given a few minutes to browse the menu. We ended up ordering a little of both the original and the spicy lechon (smallest grams of each), some sauteed ong choy, and some garlic rice. The food came out pretty quickly which was a good thing as my buddy and I were starving. I saw calamansi juice on the menu so I knew I had to order that since it was our last dinner during our week long dive trip in Malapascua. If you can handle a bit of heat, I definitely would recommend the spicy lechon as the perfectly roasted suckling pork was mixed with a spicy and citrusy soy sauce which added a ton of flavor. The skin was perfectly crispy and the lechon had the perfect fat/meat balance. The sauteed ong choy was also perfectly sauteed and seasoned and the dab of hot sauce added a nice little kick to the dish. Every meal while in the Philippines should be done with garlic rice as it's tasty as hell. The iced calamansi juice was super refreshing and hit the spot on a warm night. Wished we had dined here before heading to Malapascua to start our trip as this was the best meal we had all week long. As have mentioned, the halo halo isn't like your traditional shaved ice but instead an ube milk shake which was good but having the traditional dessert would've been better. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area.

Yelp
Great service, good food but maybe took more time than needed. They have amole parking and accept credit cards

Yelp
Food is good and delicious, and services are nice. Ambiance is awesome, clean restaurant.

Yelp
It's overrated. I mean it was good, but nothing fantastic like everyone says it is. It's a really nice establishment overall; nice dining area, service and ambience. We arrived after a long day of traveling, and this was the first and only place we wanted to try that night for dinner. Special Carcar Lechon: very cute presentation with the wooden plate shaped like a pig. It was flavorful and nicely salted, the meat itself wasn't bad. The skin wasn't crispy like you'd expect, it was almost chewy? Grilled Tuna Belly: pretty good, really large portion and well seasoned! It's a very meaty fish, so make sure you and your friends have the stomach space to indulge in this. Crispy Chicken Skin: not too memorable Kinilaw Fiesta: nicely balanced dish in terms of salty/sweet/spicy. I'd rather go to Rico's than House of Lechon if I were wanting really great Lechon.

Yelp
So this place is supposed to have good lechon but I think you really need to figure out the timing when the fresh lechon comes in. The dinner lechon was re- fried, dry and not good at all. The lechon is supposed to be from carcar, the well known area for lechon/chicharon. It's also Cebu lechon which is famous for lechon. However, I'm sad to report that it definitely falls flat from any expectation of a good lechon. Anyway, it's a nice looking place, food portions are on the smaller side.

Yelp
I give this 5 stars because it was one of the highlights of my trip. One complaint I'll get out the way is to make the Lechon hotter (temperature) and maybe add more skin. Its something you can fix with a simple request but I'm low maintenance. Came here with a lovely date that doesn't mind packing it in. Had the cheese stick appetizer that I'm sure American foreigners won't forget. Mixed veggies, serving of Lechon, scallops , some fruit drinks = happy me They have an indoor room I think you can reserve, so if you want the ultimate A/C comfort with good food then call in. The tourist buses usually take them all. Mix this experience with waterfalls, deep diving in warm waters, and blue and free scenery and you'll want to move to Cebu

Yelp
I dined here, with a group of friends, on our first day in Cebu. I had high expectations for this place, especially since the restaurant itself is called House of Lechon, but I have to say that the lechon did not meet my expectations. Don't get me wrong, the lechon had the crispy skin (which is nothing but deliciousness), and the meat itself was juicy, but I was hoping that it would have some more flavor on it's own. The dipping sauces are what really gives it its flavor. Put that over rice and you're good to go. The other dishes we ordered were average. I can't remember everything that we ordered, but it wasn't too impressive. Since my mom is originally from Bichol, and since I'm kinda biased on how it [the dish] should taste, I made sure that I didn't order the Bichol express here. I had Bicol express at another restaurant elsewhere in Visayas and was highly underwhelmed by it. To avoid a repeat of that, I made sure I didn't order it. Looking back at it now, I wouldn't mind trying it if I do dine here again. The halo halo shake, on the other hand, was a nice treat to enjoy with my meal. I still prefer the actual halo halo dessert though. As with most places in the Philippines, the staff we interacted with were very friendly, polite, and helpful. Overall, I had a good dining experience here, however I wasn't too impressed with the food. I wouldn't mind giving this restaurant another try though.

Yelp
A visit here was the New Year's treat for my Filipino wife and a treat it was indeed! I know it is hard to believe, but you can get some pretty doggone good Lechon here at House of Lechon. It met, if not surpassed my wife's high expectations for Lechon. She enjoyed the chicharon bulaklak as well. I had the Gambas ala Concasse, which were fresh medium shrimp cooked in a sweet mixture of something. I don't know what the mixture was, but it tasted great. The food was outstanding and the people were very nice. This place is a keeper. Like the Terminator, I'll be back (in a while).

Yelp
Cebu is known to have the best Lechon in the Philippines. When you enter The House of Lechon there is a large room where the Lechon is prepared. There is a large stainless steel counter & glass ceiling to counter where about 3 or 4 guys prepare the Lechon to be served. They take the crispy skin and scrape the fat off the back so you end up with a nice crispy skin with almost no fat on on the back. It's absolutely delicious. The meat is fairly lean and seasoned to perfection. Lechon 5 Stars Salmon sinagong - this dish was tasty, but too salty for my palate. Salmon Sinagong 3 Stars because of too much salt Pansit Guisado was absolutely delicious 5 Stars Scallops w/melted cheese. The picture looked good, but they sucked. There was one tiny little scallop covered w/melted cheese. Way too salty I would recommend against getting this item. 1 Star - Pricy and not very good. Calamansi juice was absolutely delicious with a nice citrus after bite. Yummm I want some more now. 5 Stars The dining area is very nice, good service. It was funny watching people after eating sitting back and just enjoying the moment of a great meal

Yelp
I've never been to any lechon place in Cebu so this is a wicked first try. And it's wickedly delicious!! Too bad I had food coma already from the many days of pigging out in Cebu I simply can no longer stuff in more meat down my throat! My boys loved everything that's served even the kangkong appetizer. The mussels were divine with the cheese-like topping. My friends and I also ordered mango shakes and beer to go with everything on the table. This is an absolute must-go in Cebu and I for sure will be back again whenever we're given the chance to!

Yelp
Came to Cebu for the lechon and this place was highly rated everywhere. One of the waiters (trainee) at the podium seated me & my husband and pretty much rushed us to order the lechon. He kept saying there was only half of the lechon left and everything else is spicy. To reserve the regular lechon we would need to place an order right at that second so he can hold it for us. I asked if we could do half portion of each. He says yes. My husband points to the menu and clearly said we would like 1/8 kg of each since we're only 2 people and planned to order a couple of other dishes. He just said "yes, half and half". He then says our assigned waiter will come by to take the rest of our order. A few minutes later, we realized that the waiter may not have fully understood us. My husband went looking for him. The waiter said the orders for 1/2 kg of each are already in and the meat is chopped. There's no going back. Dude, did you really expect a party of 2 to finish 2.2 lbs of meat? The waiter came back momentarily and repeated that he could not cancel the second order of lechon. We sat there pretty upset, but readied ourselves for all that meat. In the 10-15 minutes of waiting for the "already chopped meat", the assigned waiter never came by to take the rest of our order nor ask us if we'd like drinks. You could clearly see him looking glum walking aimlessly around the room. The lechon finally came out and management approved cancelling 1 of the orders for us. Thank you, ma'am. The meat was tender & delicious. Gravy was super salty, though. I recommend eating it with the vinegar on the table & some gravy and a bowl of rice. If only we didn't have so much meat, we would have ordered a vegetable dish, a seafood dish, and dessert. Oh well! Time to try another lechon place.

Yelp
Was in cebu over the weekend and we knew that lechon is a must try when in Cebu. We were seated in the outside seating area because the inside was packed. But that was ok though because there was a roof and ceiling fans so it kept it nice and cool. Our waiter was attentive and nice, i believe he was the manager on shift at the time. He patiently explained the dishes to us and was patient as we figured out what we were going to order. So we ordered 2 orders of lechon (carcar), one regular and the other spicy, fried calamari, soup (utan bisaya na may pasayan), squid adobo, vegetables (pinakbet), noodles (canton guisado), baked scallops and the garlic fried rice and a coconut shake. The lechon was rediculously good!!! Soft inner meat and the crunchiness of the skin was out of this world. The meat just melts in your mouth. Ive never had such good lechon in the states. I was blown away with it and it wasent even too salty. I can see from the lechon why they were so busy. The spicy one wasent spicy at all... The fried calamari and squid adobo were ok. They werent amazing like the lechon. The soup was good in that it cleansed your pallet and the warmth from it helps to breakdown the fattiness of the lechon. The garlic fried rice was good. It easily fed 7 people a good amount of rice. There was a hint of garlic and it played well to the overall meal. The vegetables were good in that it provided you with less guilt knowing that you had your serving of vegetables. Baked scallops were lathered in too much cheese and the flavor of the seafood was lost, which was meh.... Also had a coconut juice which was so refreshing. Eating all that protein in the hot environment, the coconut juice was a nice finish to the meal. Overall im glad i dont live close by to this place. Because the taste and texture of the lechon is dangerous to my arteries and waistline. But i enjoyed every bite of this rich rich meal. Cebu did not disappoint with ther lechon!!!

Yelp
I heard about legends being famous in Cebu. I couldn't wait to try it. Well I'm in LA I found some Lechon being grilled over live coals at a street vending location. I tried it and it was excellent. I couldn't wait to get a chance to try it in Cebu. The first place I tried it was in the mall near where I was staying and it was decent but not as good as the in Manila. I decided to try House Of Lechon because of the reviews and because it was within walking distance to where I was staying. I was expecting it to be at least as good as what I had in Manila. I was a little bit disappointed however. The Lechon was served cold but still not bad, not great but not bad. A young lady soon came over and asked me w it was and I told her it was cold. She took the plate and had it heated up, I assume in the microwave. Parts were a little chewy likely due to the microwave. Other pieces were very tender. I am a fan of the skin but that was not very crisp so couldn't eat much of that. Also probably due to the microwave. Overall I was a bit disappointed. I don't think it was cooked over coals either. The vegetable dish I ordered was very good. It reminded me of spinach. I did have to find an employee to take my order but that is not unusual. When I was ready to pay I just went to the cashier. The place was very clean even the bathrooms. They have a lot of seating indoors and out. By the way the menu has much more than just Lechon or pork for that matter.

Yelp
I heard that if I wanted the best Lechon (roasted pork), House of Lechon is the place to go. Needless to say, I was NOT disappointed! Came with a few work friends and we got the normal Lechon, spicy Lechon, some cheese sticks, scallops, rice, veggies, and some type of grilled fish (can't recall exactly). I thought everything was so incredibly delicious! The Lechon was so tender and paired perfectly with the sauce that was provided! I was surprisingly impressed with the cheese sticks too! If you're ever in Cebu, I would really suggest you make a stop!
