Hovden Fjellstoge

Had a great stay here at Hovden Fjellstoge. Friendly staff, good service and a great location. We even got a room upgrade for free. So there is nothing to complain about. I would highly recommend this place!

With bicycles, we spontaneously decided to stay here because of heavy rain. We can only recommend this place: Very friendly staff, super delicious food and a very rich breakfast!! Great!! 👍👍

Thank you for the always nice and friendly service, the perfect morning buffet and the tasty dinner at your fjellstoge. The rooms were absolutely clean with cosy corners to relax. A place to come back.

We were on the campsite not the hotel. Needs some more work to get it better. A bit unpersonel. Busy road which gets less sound later in the evening. You can use shower and toilet in nearby hotel (30m) 24/7.

Rooms were modern and great. Large bed, sleeper sofa, bathroom, kitchenette and dining table. Great morning breakfast buffet.

We stayed here for 3 nights and I loved it. The staff are so friendly and helpful, very welcoming. The room was comfortable and modern. A delicious breakfast was served every day, for me it was the highlight. The hotel dining room is very cosy and had a real fire lit. Just so charming.

Spent 1 night here now, over 20 years since my last visit. Tremendous lift in quality in all aspects. This is still a reasonably priced hotel, so it felt like a bargain! The new rooms include a complete kitchen if you feel like cooking, but we chose a superbly prepared dinner with locally fished trout and the breakfast was lovely, varied and rich. Very nice and friendly staff too.

It was one of our very best stays during our Sweden/Norway trip this summer (2021). We found this place accidentally on our way from Oslo to Stavanger and we stayed first just for one night. After our stay in Stavanger we canceled our original travel plans and we returned to Fjellstoge because of its uniqueness. Best place for activities in the mountains. The people from staff and service are incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms are totally new and very clean and you can stay there for a very fair price. The breakfast was also one of the very best we had during the complete trip. Dinner/Lunch with a lot of local specialities cooked at a very high quality standard remains us thankfully in view of the head chef there. ;)
