Howard Johnson by Wyndham Incheon Airport

Very impressed with this travelers’ hotel. With its proximity to the airport there are a lot of flight crews and transit passengers with a layover as was I. The rooms are clean and well appointed. I had a wheelchair access room which was spacious and thoughtfully laid out. Complimentary breakfast was included which had a huge variety of western and Korean foods. I have to say I was surprised by the urn coffee. It was great!!! The counter staff were all delightful and the whole experience very positive.

Great option if you’re transiting. It’s only about 15 minutes away by train from Incheon airport, though getting to downtown Seoul takes around an hour and a half. The location has plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, which is convenient. For the price, it does the job, just don’t expect too much. Perfect for a quick stopover.

This hotel is directly opposite the Unseo metro station. From Terminal 1 (ICN) Airport it is a 10 min train ride to Unseo station, for KRW 1800 about $US 1.30. Foreign issued credit cards are acceptable from the ticketing machines. It takes about 5 mins walk from coming out of the station and going to level 3 for hotel reception. I was given a room overlooking the railway station square, great! Comfortable bed, and nice sofa. What was difficult was the wifi. Just simple password would be fine - finding the network and then the password code, a little bit harder than normal. The room was advertised with free cancelation, well before the due date of check inn. However, this was not available. Still, I am glad I stayed at this hotel.

The staff was not friendly at all. Got to the hotel at 14:57, one of the staff called me forward and then said checking was 15:00. Three minutes, three minutes she said. The guy next to me was checking in…. I don’t know why she would call me to the desk and asked me to wait. The next day I was checked out by the same lady unfortunately. She didn’t say a word at all checking me out and when I asked for invoice, she typed on the computer impatiently. Once the invoice was printed, she left it on the desk and left immediately. Very poor quality of service for hotel staff.

Good Hotel with tidy and clean rooms. Relatively small standard rooms. A lot of restaurants and convenient stores around the hotel. Also it is in excellent location, near the railway and metro station.

There was a lot of mold built up around the sink, which was extremely unpleasant, and I had to move rooms twice because of it. Although they eventually changed my room, the overall cleanliness was already a fail. Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel, although very busy. It is in an amazing place to get to the airport on 2 mins to the train( which runs from 05.30). There are plenty of restaurants around which open late so good for food

Receptionist on duty on 15th August between 10am –11:30 AM was rude and unwelcoming, acted like we owed them something. On the bright side, housekeeping staff (Ajuma) was very friendly and greeted us at the corridor. She was the only pleasant part of our stay.
