Howard Johnson by Wyndham Plaza Hotel Mayorazgo

I stayed here for 3 nights on business. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the rooms were, the beds were very comfortable. The room has a mini bar, and I had a great view of the river. Free breakfast buffet which had a lot to choose from. My only drawback is not all employees speak English so I used Google translate when looking over the menu. The front desk does speak English. ||As an American, I am used to eating dinner early, and the restaurant does not open until 8. But you can get food at the bar or room service.||I went for a walk down by the river and it was beautiful. There are stairs leading you down, and halfway down to the left is a brewery for happy hour and food too.||The last night I went to the casino for a little fun, it was nice to have that in the hotel.||I would definitely stay here if I have to return.

Hotel is not entirely bad. Rooms are kind of ok. But that's about it. It might even be the best option in Parana, no argue with that. But bath tubs have bath curtains, furnitire is not in optimal form, and TVs in bedrooms are too small! Ridiculously small. There is no room service after midnight, breakfast service is near to awful, and bathrooms in the lobby are closed at night, just because they don't have personal to clean them . Service at the restaurant is not even near standards. At breakfast there is no one at all, not even to clean used tables. They really need to improve on service.

Howard Johnson, Paraná is, perhaps the best hotel in the city. It is located facing the river but you can walk to the historic center( more or less ten blocks) and to many other places. Paraná is not a big city so you can walk from the river coast to the cathedral or the Civic Center.||The room is quite big, with a flat TV screen(not very big), correctly appointed. Lacks coffee/tea facilities. AC is very noisy (at least it was in my room on the fifth floor) . Bathroom is new with a strong shower, which is not so habitual in Argentine. Rooms service is very good and efficient: telling the lady who was doing it that the lamp in the bedroom lamp did not work properly, it was immediately replaced. ||Breakfast: many choices. Completely self-service: nobody comes to ask you if you need anything. Fruit, bread, many sweet cakes: nothing hot.It is included in the Room´s price. The view from there is very niece: if you choose a table near the window you can see the Paraná river.||Restaurant: I found they were not quite polite offering me ( because I wanted to eat a salad) a very low circular table,which I did not accept and decided not to have dinner there. Except this little incident, when I had a sandwich next evening they were quite polite.||Gym center: I found the operating time not very convenient( 9am-9pm). When working, one uses to go to gym early in the morning. Few machines in a well maintained place. By||Bicycle (the only one) did not work properly.||Wi-fi is free. Very dim signal.||Without asking for it, they gave me a wonderful view room.

I just sayed on the hotel for 1 night, so I cannot really say a lot about it. Its a really nice hotel, and in a great location. Rooms, spa and children area are really good too. The only thing I noticed was that in general the service was not as great as the rest of the hotel: e.g the garage took a lot of time to access and retrieve the car, and in the breakfast they took a lot of time to refill the beberages that were out and to bring.

The hotel is beautifully located, facing the river and the large windows give an extensive view of the bends of the river, the colours of the foliage and the ever-changing sky. Staff are friendly, breakfast is ample, and the Sunday high tea is scrumptious. You can walk down the hill and be by the riverside in less than 10 minutes. Don't miss the whimsical sculptures on the way.

We had a great idea when we decided to spend our wedding anniversary and my birthday in this green beautiful city and specially in this hotel. The room you get for the anniversary package is excellent: spacious, with a perfect view, very comfortable bed and 5-star service! Bunch of flowers, champagne, chocolate and fruit platter, what else! The swimming pool is big enough and the spa is very good. Good relax room and excellent masseuse.

Rooms are modern and plain. The spa has great service and many packages to choose from. Pool may be crowded at times, but is big enough for everybody. The views of the river are amazing, especially the sunrise. Try your luck at the Casino.

Sometimes I get to think that fifth star comes with a huge swimming pool, and there it was this hotel. I got there because I´ve realized that I wanted a good place in a area where hotel business is maybe some decades apart from international standards. I wasn´t wrong.||Average service, with a good effort from staff both bar and restaurant (still not enough); average decoration, awful environment next to the lobby (I presume that next door casino has something to do with that); average rooms, where I would find no way to take a bath properly because of the abscence of any plug.||I have to recognize two good things: great view and good meal in the restaurant.||If I have to go to Paraná again I would return, but still believe they have to work out all their mistakes.
