Five Stars – A Must-Visit in Nosara! We loved Howler’s Beach Lounge so much, we came back two days in a row—mainly for the incredible tuna carpaccio. Fresh, vibrant, and full of flavor—it’s a dish that keeps you coming back. The homemade tortilla chips and guac were the perfect starter, and the carne asada and al pastor tacos were packed with flavor. Don’t miss the margaritas (thank you, Jonathan!) or the virgin mojitos for the kids—equally refreshing and beautifully crafted. The service was outstanding both times. Carlos, our server, was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Jonathan, the bartender, makes one of the best margaritas in town. The vibe is laid-back and beachy, but with top-tier service that stands out. Special shoutout to Carlos the owner for creating such a memorable place. This spot is a total gem in Nosara—come once and you’ll absolutely be back for more.

This place was the highlight of our stay in Nosara. Ramon and Carlos are great, the drinks are great, the carpaccio is delicious. We probably ordered six carpaccios in the five nights we stayed. I left today and miss them already. Super cool vibe.

Howlers is an absolute must place to eat at if you’re in Nosara. The menu is simple yet everything single item will be the best of its kind. Seems like everything is homemade and your tastebuds will be happy. The staff is so kind, welcoming and attentive.

If Nosara had a heartbeat, it would be Howlers. I’ve been here nearly every day since landing in Costa Rica 2.5 weeks ago, and I regret nothing (except maybe not discovering it sooner). The carpaccio? To die for. The service? Always on point. The vibes? Immaculate — the kind of place where locals, travelers, and post-surf legends all end up swapping stories over cold beers. When town quiets down, you’ll know where to find us… at Howlers, keeping the good times rolling. 10/10 — come for the food, stay for the energy, leave plotting how to come back tomorrow. 🌴🍻

The best carpaccio ever made! Hands down - don’t go. Run! The owner makes sure that the restaurant is stalked with the fish. He runs around town sourcing the best of the best. The cocktails are wonderful and the guacamole is spectacular. The chips are fabulously addictive and the atmosphere is Nosara! I love this place and so will you!

Five stars all around! Food and drinks made fresh to order! So much flavor. Good vibes. Would highly recommend.

Suggest your favorite cocktail and they’ll make it, which we suggested quite a few and all were amazing! My favorite - the Mojito But they don’t have a drink menu, so until you get the bill you don’t know what you’re paying - and as it turns out, I paid less for cocktails in Manhattan recently. They offer limited app & taco menu, but they’re delicious & the corn chips are made fresh, along with the salsa and guac.
