I'll start with what went less well: The noise insulation of the room was bad. We could hear the people in the next room talking, and we could clearly tell what TV channel they were watching. I'm guessing it was an elderly couple, as they woke up at 7am and would watch TV until the breakfast buffet started at 8am. Two nights in a row, that I didn't get a full nights sleep. For the price of the room, that was very disappointing. What went well: - The room was spacious, had all the basic amenities, a very nice bathroom, and a large and comfortable double bed. The view to the lake and the castle were amazing. - The breakfast didn't offer a lot of variety, but what it did offer had really high quality and freshness. The fruits, cheeses, spreads, juice, all pretty amazing, and I highly recommend, if you stay, that you enjoy the buffet. - The private spa is amazing. The staff set the sauna temperature according to our request, offered a bowl of fruit, and asides from sauna we had a pleasant large bathtub with jacuzzi function, a walk in shower, and large chairs and chaise longues to lay down and rest from the sauna, multiple towels and bathrobes. Having all that space just for ourselves felt really luxurious and relaxing. Unfortunately the view from the spa is not to the lake, but that is a minor detail I don't mind at all, I came out of that spa feeling truly happy and relaxed. - Despite our limitations in the German language, the staff was able to understand us, and mostly actually communicated in English, for our comfort. - The restaurant bar has some exterior seating. Now, unfortunately we had poor weather, but otherwise the couples seating baskets would have been wonderful! - We didn't try the "public" spa of the hotel, but wandered around, and it looked to be very comfortable and complete. In summary, amazing staff, location and wellbeing facilities. I would however not stay in the future, with fear of not being able to sleep through the night. I would absolutely visit for another booking of the private spa, or to try the "public" spa.

The rooms were nice, the facilities average but the food, considering it's a 4 star hotel, was really bad. The bread at breakfast was dry, as if it was from the previous day. At dinner the meat was overcooked - we had a hard time chewing it - the wine had a weird taste, the dessert was almost not touched and the staff didn't even bother to ask why we didn't eat or if we liked it, they just didn't care. This is unacceptable for the pricey room in a 4 star hotel.

Restored grain mill. Lovely waterfront location in a suburban neighbourhood about 20 minutes walk from the town centre. Free parking with ample spaces in secure carpark. There are two EV chargers available. Reception team and service were wonderful. Great breakfast and we enjoyed a lovely meal one evening with excellent cocktails. The hotel has a traditional feel and the rooms are well decorated and spacious. We had a great stay and found the hotel very relaxing.

We stayed here over NYE. We were lucky enough to be staying in one of the studios, which, of course, is a little more expensive than the regular rooms. But well worth it. Nice lighting in the room, comfortable bed, spacious. We will certainly come again and now that we are spoilt, not taking the studio will be hard. Only downside: our studio had limited view of the lake. We did see the lake though from the room. Just not a full view of it. ||||I rented a bamboo bike, which is super handy and they are decent bikes. E-charging is available to guests and the bar looks fantastic, though we didn't visit the bar. Since the restaurant was booked out for NYE, we didn't try it. We will try it next time. Breakfast was decent: oat milk, soy milk etc. also available, which is a bonus. ||||Friendly staff. All in all, a super stay at a super hotel in Schwerin in top location. Will be nice go go again in summer.

This place is great. I haven’t found a flaw yet.||It’s on the east side of one of the smaller lakes and only 1 1/2 km from the town center. It’s quiet at night. Views from the rooms are excellent. I’m listening to church bells as I write this from my room.||Staff are all incredibly welcoming. The receptionist was very accommodating and allowed me to check in several hours early.||The bar tender was knowledgeable and friendly. We chatted as he polished every glass that came, spotless already, out of the dishwasher.||Fresh apples by reception, tasty apples.||The private cabanas facing the late were a treat. With full bar, coffee, and ice cream service.||The rooms are furnished in modern style. Beds are very, very comfortable.||WiFi signal is excellent, more than good enough to host worldwide video conferences.||This is just a wonderful place

A very friendly and professional welcome was a great start. Full marks to Hotel Speicher for being environmentally friendly. Also top marks for the excellent restaurant. Rooms are comfortable but we missed having a minibar / fridge to cool our drinks (probably not present due to power usage?). Internet is blazingly fast - 85Mbps up and download.|Breakfast was good but the rolls were a bit hard. Excellent latte and espresso.||It's a long walk into town - 20-25 minutes to the Schloss - bear this in mind when booking. Of course you could always rent the hotel's e-bikes or electric Fiat 500!||If you found my review helpful I would appreciate your vote

The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is well locate juat in front of the lake and 15min walk from the center. The breakfast are very nice and fresh. There is no many options for vegans on the restaurant menu bit they will do their best to offer something by request. I really enjoy the days there, calm, clean and tidy. The room is simple, take one with the windows to the lake and enjoy the light in the morning, really beautiful. The bar is definitely a spot to go, they are super friendly and know how to make you feel comfy!

We just loved the place! From the very attentive and friendly staff to its scenic location, it's just a pleasure staying there. The studio on the 6th floor was spacious, clean and sported a very comfortable bed. Breakfast is delicious and the food in the restaurant is also nice. Book a table on the terrace on a sunny day. We'd go there again any time.
