Our family absolutely loved this place. It was our favorite thing about the week we spent seeing Vegas and the Grand Canyon. It's grand, beautiful, quiet, and cozy. Everyone was very friendly. We were there with our three middle school aged kids and my husband's elderly parents. They had found the place through an Elder Hostel directory, I believe. The hotel staff drove us in a van, down a rugged dirt road, down to the Colorado River one day, because my Father in-law couldn't walk very far. He had Parkinson's. Anyway, that was super kind of the staff, and they waited an hour while we picnicked and dipped our feet in. So sweet! They also gave us many excellent recommendations for cool and unusual things to do (that didn't require extreme fitness). We all wished that we had spent the entire eight nights there, instead of just three! Awesome place. At the time I had never stayed overnight on a dry reservation, or even spent much time with Indigenous Americans at all yet. Amazing! And so wonderful for our whole family! That was in 2004. I was just looking it up to see if it's still there, because I want to go back! ☺️ Thank you for a delightfully perfect, generous, beautiful, and unusual experience.

Based on other reviews (and after hiking check in at Grand Caverns Inn), I had low expectations for Hualapai Lodge. I was actually pleasantly surprised. It was very clean and our room had a refrigerator, microwave and a Keurig machine. I was not expecting a coffee maker and was very happy I could have a cup of coffee early in the morning since the restaurant would be not be open yet when we were planning to head out for our hike. We didn't try the restaurant for dinner bec we had a late lunch at Mr. D's on 66 in Kingman - which I highly recommend if you are heading out that way.

We stayed here before and after havasupai hiking in rooms 129 and 123. We did not hear the train noise much as mentioned in other reviews. We also tried playing white noise on phone to not get disturbed by noises around us but to be honest , it was pretty quite the week of Thanksgiving. Rooms are nicely appointed with microwave, fridge, coffee machine and toiletries. Towels were plenty. Restaurant is ok, gift shop has essentials. Front desk stored our luggage for $25/Night in a secure room. One of us forgot our apple earpods, and the staff was kind to mail it back to us. Gas station is actoss the street, so is a general store.Highly recommend this place

Google
The rooms are large with comfy beds. The pool was heated and the hot tub large and really warm, perfect after a day on the trails. |There is a restaurant onsite and a shop over the road. We weren't very impressed with the service in the restaurant but the food tasted good. |The one negative is the train noise, not just rumbling but sounding their horns as they go through the level crossing all night. This could really bother some people.|

Consumer Beware. This hotel is not at all what is is represented to be online. When I booked this room I made it clear I would be going to the Sky Bridge and coming in after a very long drive. The website states they have restaurant on site. Upon arrival the hotel did not impress. At front desk I was greeted by a large container of ear plugs, apparently for the highway and train noises, and a receptionist who spoke in a near whisper. I expressed dissatisfaction and asked to not check in. At that time I was told I must check in but could turn around and check out right away which made no sense. I was told I could eat at the restaurant and use the facilities. Exhausted and hungry from a long travel day I checked in, went upstairs to drop my bag and came right down to eat at the restaurant. At the restaurant there were several employees running around and customers seated with no food in front of them. After about 10 minutes one of the employees came up and said they could not seat me as they were too busy. This is the only place to eat in the hotel and nearby area. Back to the front desk I went to let the receptionist know they would not serve me. She says they are not affiliated with the restaurant and I could drive into Kingman to eat and come back. That is an hour away. I again stated my dissatisfaction with the hotel and facilities and stated I wanted to leave and not be charged. At that point I was told that couldn't happen because I had used the room. When I asked to speak with a manager I was told no-one was there. I asked her to call someone which she finally did. The decision from supervisor was that I need to ask the Tribal Counsel for a refund as they would charge my card. I have never received this kind of hassle from any hotel. Save yourself the headache and stay in Kingman or Flagstaff. There is nothing close by anyway.

Google
Perfect location for a trip to Havasupai. We stayed the night before our 4-day adventure and it was fantastic. Cozy place with a great cafe for home-cooked meals. The service was excellent and the food was equal. Highly recommend for all travelers.

Google
Great place to stay in between West and South Rim. Clean and quiet rooms. Generous food portions in the restaurant. Super friendly staff. Highly recommended if you plan to see different areas of Grand Canyon and the surrounding vicinity. Support Indigenous tribal businesses!

Google
Not the best value hotel, but there isn’t much competition around.||Room was a bit dated, but clean and everything worked. Staff were polite if not very friendly.||Freight trains pass every half an hour pretty much 24/7 - they do provide earplugs.

Yelp
Decided to stay here because I wanted a place close to the start of Hualapai Hilltop. The other option was the Grand Canyon Caverns, which is a no go. I saw the pictures online and it doesn't look like they did any renovation since taking over the property. I was kind of impressed when I walked in to the lobby. It was big and clean and reminds me of a Best Western. There's a small store selling souvenirs and other things. There's a cafe in the lobby that has hot cooked food. There's also a small store across the street and a gas station. So location wise, it's the best option. The room was clean and the bed was actually very comfortable. I was surprised how firm it was and each room had a fridge and microwave. The bathroom could use a renovation, but was good for what it was. Think of it more like a Motel than a Hotel. The staff was nice and the food at the cafe wasn't bad either. They were definitely short staffed though. I like that they provide you with earplugs for the train that goes through in the middle of the night, but I asked for them to put me on the highway side so that we don't hear the trains. Which we did not in the night. What's also a great option is that they have showers for those who want to clean up after the hike out of Havasu Falls. It will cost you $15.40 with tax included. They provide towels, soap & shampoo and the best part is there's no time constraints. This is a definite plus in my book. Although we didn't take advantage of it, it's nice to have that option. Not sure what issues others had besides maybe the train noise. The hotel is pretty much quiet, clean and comfortable.

Yelp
Before our visit I received a confirmation email that stated their hot tub was closed. This was a deal breaker because after hiking the Grand Canyon we wanted a soak. I messaged the property and asked them to waive the cancellation fee because I would be booking a different hotel. The day after we would have stayed at the lodge I received a message stating they'd denied the waiver because their hot tub does work and stating they had never claimed that it didn't. I have included a screenshot of the email clearly exposing their lie. THESE PEOPLE ARE GRIFTERS. STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Yelp
Feels like a boutique resort with great restaurant, gift shop, pool, and fast service. Rooms are very clean.

Yelp
The Hualapai Nation / Lodge, is alcohol free. They said if you are caught drinking any alcohol in the privacy of your room, you would be fined $200. They said the same thing about smoking. I don't smoke, but I was surprised they threaten to fine you for drinking anything in your own private room. They said you can't have alcohol for 15 minutes drive in either direction. Also, Train was loud, and the native workers at the hotel were clearly not excited to help people in the lobby. It was not a place I would ever recommend anyone to visit. They also claim they are close to the grand canyon, but when you get there, they give you a map for 1.5 hour drive away to get to the grand canyon. Any hiking requires a permit way in advance. Total train wreck of a city and hotel.
google avatar

Brian A.

Yelp
The "Lodge" is a crappy one star "hotel". The website should clearly state that this is a dry county and that any alcohol being consumed even in your hotel room will cost you a $200 fine if caught .. The restaurant is terrible, you have to pay to even drive down roads here. Also, the website to book rooms is confusing to the point that we thought we were paying for cabin rentals and ended up paying $225 a night to stay in this crappy place. There is a train that continuously runs next to the hotel day and night and blasts it's horn as it pases EVERYTIME, it's so bad they provide ear plugs for free at registration. Unless you are whitewater renting, STAY AWAY. The beds were comfirtable

Yelp
Rip off. Not worth the price at all. I could stay at a nice hotel in Dubai for the same price! Lousy place with no character.

Yelp
Much nicer than I was expecting. Before walking in, be sure to write down your license plate #. They will require it. Ample parking in the front and back. The hotel is within close proximity to the train tracks. Trains can be frequent and unpredictable. They have a sign at the check in desk that says they offer complimentary ear plugs. Definitely not sound proof rooms. There were 4 trains between 1900-2000. I know, because that's the time I had hoped to go to sleep in prep for the 0300 wake up. It gets worse quickly. There were 3 trains that came through between 2100 and 2200. You guessed it it. That was the second attempt to go to sleep. I slept. I didn't hear any more trains until 0145. I guess this will have to do. I'm up. 0210. 0227. 0246. 0259 0317 0331. 0339. Ugh They had a 4 star rating when I went to bed. Sleep is important at a hotel. I can not justify 4 stars. My husband has a down allergy. So we put in writing a request for feather free. At check in, she read it out loud and addressed me with "all of our pillows are feather free". Hubs woke up at midnight congested. Through the pillow down and used a hard one. Guess what? The one he had been using had feathers! Ridiculous. They have a gym that is well equipped, a marketer and restaurant on site. Jacuzzi. Swimming pool. You won't find any alcohol at any of these locations.

Yelp
After making the trek to Havasupai Falls, this was the PERFECT stay after our looonng backpacking trip. The lodge was extremely nice and clean and the restaurant was absolutely excellent. The staff was also great!!! Great stop off Route 66. And also, many thanks to Melenie and the staff for assisting me after leaving some items there! Exceptional customer service all the way around. Couldn't rave enough about the rooms and the food and the servers.

Yelp
My husband went to this lodge as an emergency to take care of his father who lives nearby my husband stayed three days no problem there however when he got home they had an additional $800 of charges on our credit card those funds could not be used for at least 10 days. Yeah go there and be careful with your money. Their holds are ridiculous.

Yelp
Don't stay here if you need sleep or any rest! The lodge is right next to train tracks and trains run every 30 minutes, 24 hours a day and as they pass the town they sound of the horn so loud and so many times even the dead can awaken! This place is terrible, and not clean! First room had no working shower and no one to fix the issue , the next available room a much smaller one - Had multiple things left in the room under the bed and in the fridge , and there is a sign that I have never seen before, regarding "staining of sheets" and towels! At this point I was too exhausted to complain . Then We got zero rest , by that I mean waking up every 15 minutes all night long! I had to crank up AC to 60 just to muffle the train horn ! Stay away - if you are rafting make sure you get rest before you arrive - I was exhausted from my 5 hour drive to this lodge and this damn place made all of us dead tired the next day!

Yelp
We stayed at the Hualapai Lodge for one night in July the night before our backpacking hike into the Havasupai Reservation. We had a wonderful and clean room. We got a room on the highway side and had no trouble as other reviewers had mention with regards to the train and how noisy it can be. We had dinner at the lodge in the restaurant and had a restful sleep before our big hike into the canyon. I will definitely stay here again on our next backpacking trip into Havasupai.

Yelp
I was surprised how decent this lodge was out in the middle of nowhere... well on our way to Havasupai. We didn't want to camp in our car and wanted a good night sleep on a bed and saw that this is the closet hotel. We were expecting a creepy old lodge but it turned out to be huge and pretty decent! Beds were nicely made and clean. We had a comfortable stay. Except their shower was a joke. It literally had water dribbling out... Horrible.

Yelp
Three times I have stayed here when I went for funerals. Once while we were in the restaurant eating breakfast the staff cleared all our belongings out of our room and had them in the hall when we went back to our room. The second time they did the same thing. This time they put their hands on my purse and wallet took our other belongings at the front desk. The most recent time was about a month ago. My kids were still sleeping while we were out in the community. Housekeeping kept going into the room. They were even threatening them to get out. Told them they needed to leave. They told my daughter she needed to leave or they were going to charge her an extra day. CHECK OUT IS AT 11 A.M. they were harassing my sleeping kids at 9 a.m. I also requested a late check out at 12 p.m. all 3 times I stayed there. All three times the staff invaded our privacy before check out time and before I planned on checking out. Horrible!!

Tom J.

Yelp
First off the toilet would not flush. When I went to tell the front desk they actually asked me if I tried fixing it and gave me tips on how I can fix it. They then told me to go back to the room and turn the water off to the toilet and they would give me another room. Once at the new room, I was sitting on the bed and noticed blood on the sheets. I thought I must have a cut but I didn't. This was dried blood that was obviously from someone else. I pulled back the top cover and found more blood on the second layer of covers.

Yelp
We wanted to stay at a hotel different than corporate hotels for a change . I was taken back when they offered us ear plugs for the train that passed every forty minuets . 1) tv batteries were dead requested new ones 2) no soap , shampoo , lotion or conditioner 3) coffee but no coffee pot 4) No Hot water in shower!!! Went to front desk and called several times to get these basic items 5) price $166 per night it should have the basics 6) Diamond restaurant food ok but water was delicious , must be fresh well water

Yelp
Nice rooms, very clean. Microwave, refrigerator that actually gets cold! Nice tv, remote, etc. again, very clean. The maids are all very friendly and outgoing. ONE OF THEM SHOULD REPLACE THE RUDE OLD WOMAN AT THE FRONT DESK. This property is the nicest place in town. It is such a shame the first person you talk to is annoyed by your very existence. She doesn't say please or thank you, doesn't smile. I felt like we were a major inconvenience to her. She did not do a good job explaining the breakfast cards. She was just the worst front desk clerk I have ever dealt with. How does she have a job in this business??? The pool was clean and the hot tub was as well. There are no massage jets, just literally a hot tub. So better than nothing. The website claims the pool is heated. It is NOT heated. I would have rated them 4 stars but that rude old woman that management chose to be the face of the hotel was SO BAD I knocked a couple of stars off just for her.

Yelp
Our stay here was terrific. My husband booked it months in advance to start our Grand Canyon tour and I checked the reviews on the way here and became concerned about the train noise complaints. Happily, we experienced no noise issues at all! I always travel with Mack's silicone ear plugs but didn't use them. We also use the white noise app on the phone overnight, which may have helped. I took a nice hot bath, the bed was very comfortable and the place is spotless. The staff was excellent and overall it was a great stay. Highly recommend!

Yelp
We had just gotten back from Havasupai (a 15 mile hike). We called ahead to ask if the Jacuzzi was in working order because that was important to us. They said yes of course it is. And then, when we checked in, we asked the girl does the Jacuzzi work and she said yes it does. We get here, it doesn't work, it's ice cold. We went back in and told them it's ice cold and when she came out with us we asked her why she told us it was working and she said she doesn't recall ever telling us that it was working, which we literally asked her five minutes ago. They also put us in a dirty room and said they couldn't clean it because their maids left for the day, but we saw them walking around with cleaning carts. We offered to wait but they put us in their "emergency room." This room was a nightmare. The bare floors were sandy and dirty. The bathtub had hair, dirty footprints, and toothpaste in it. We were already told the maids have left for the day so I went up to the front desk to ask for her for bath cleaner, and she said no we're not giving it to you. The bathroom ceiling also had mold all over it. Our room had a window that had people staring in at us from the pool, the window had some kind of weird leak like condensation in between the panes. We can hear people running around upstairs. The very loud train goes by every 10 minutes that we can hear... they offer you ear plugs though that's nice. The lady at the front desk said she would call us to get us into another room and two hours later I ask are you going to put us in a new room and she said oh, no if we were going to put you in a new room, we would put you in the emergency room which you were already in. She had no intention of calling me back. This has been a nightmare!

Yelp
Considering my options in planning to hike down to Havasupai, I opted for staying here, closer to the trail head, fully knowing that there was a train track behind the hotel and the trains ran all night. Yeah, the train was loud and did run ALL night long (at least every 20 minutes), but it took nearly 90 minutes to arrive at the parking lot/trail head from Peach Springs. I can't imagine adding another hour-ish on top of that in the wee morning hours. The Hualapai Lodge is a good 45 minutes closer than Kingman and when you want to get heading down the trail before the blazing heat, those extra minutes are crucial. The lodge itself is decent. It's clean, the room was adequate and the lady that checked us in was very nice (although no one offered ear plugs as I've read in other reviews)! I didn't use the pool or Jacuzzi but it did have both. The room also came with complimentary breakfast buffet, but since we were leaving early, the hotel offered a sack breakfast of sorts for $5. We opted to go to the store across the street the night before and get some bananas, oatmeal and such instead since we wanted to stock up on water (this is the last place I know of to buy water) for the hike down as well. We also filled the gas tank up before the morning (the gas station in Peach Springs is the last one you will see) and headed out on the long drive to the trail head at about 4:30 am. It was very dark with no street lighting. I strongly urge cautious driving. We saw many elk, deer and cow, in addition to bunnies and squirrel on the road. Hitting any of the former will alter your trip in negative ways and cause needless injury or death to an innocent animal in its habitat and potential to yourself. Unfortunately we saw one car on the side of the road with it's front end completely dented in due to hitting something very large. I imagine a cow, the dent was so large. All in all, it took about 90 minutes from the lodge to get to the parking lot where you start hiking down. I'm not heading back to Havasupai or Peach Springs anytime soon, but if I had to do my trip again, I would do the night before my hike the same way and choose this hotel again.

Yelp
Unprofessional staff. Treated like our company was nothing. First experience with staff and manager. Manager charged wrong company card after confirmation. Left third party to pay for stay. No sympathy for their mistake. We will never return. Company stays at hundreds of hotel this is the worst experience. We don't recommend this property, find other accommodations please.

Yelp
"Checked in" at 7:30am of our rafting trip (not exactly the "norm"). We stayed in Seligman the night before, planning the included night of the "River Special" package at Hualapai Lodge to be at the conclusion of our day's trip. You can choose to stay the night before or after. Serious note: BECAUSE we booked 6-7 months in advance, we were absolutely going to receive a room AWAY from the train side. YES: Priority of rooms is based on early reservations. YES, the train runs all night long; and YES, they give ear plugs upon check-in because the train is that loud. (Funny) YES, we accepted room 231: Away from the train side, but 1 wall borders the train side. Anticipated we'd be exhausted from the trip, we opted to check in "now" & get settled (vs the front desk holding our luggage -which they would've done- in order for us to get a "better" room). We didn't worry about the train noise: Yes, it's loud, but any lack of sleep wasn't bc of that (& again, they gave us the choice). Zero complaints from us, but yes room 231 IS on the train side! Accommodations were fine: Coffee maker (in the bathroom, boo, but understandable), TV (plenty of free channels), mini-fridge, comfortable beds/pillows, nice toiletries. Embarrassed that the only pic I took was of our bathroom! Our boys enjoyed the salt water pool, and we/I loved the hot tub. From the pool through the windows, we saw an amazing fitness center (with "everything"!). The only thing I thought was kinda weird/uncomfortable was that the seating area on the 2nd floor: ? the same area used by employees on break/family members? Felt weird to walk by a group who may/may not have been staring at me as I passed by(?). At the same time, I don't want to remove the place they have to relax, but yeah, a bit uncomfortable as a guest. Recommendations: 1. Book EARLY to ensure a room away from the train side. 2. Lodging night AFTER the trip: They MAY offer early check-in, but will store your luggage for the check-in time upon return to improve your room option (if booked early). 3. (Our experience): Booking the "required" lodging night AFTER the rafting trip enhances your potential for sleep regardless of train noise and increases the appreciation of the food at their Diamond Creek Restaurant! Regardless of that statement, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal! (Please see my review of Diamond Creek Restaurant!). We're absolutely delighted with how we planned our trip! My kids' only complaint: We didn't spend enough time at Hualapai Lodge! (Our next stop was Williams, AZ to catch the train to Grand Canyon South Rim: Check out my Yelp Collection "Las Vegas / Grand Canyon in 5 days").

Yelp
Booked this place. On the day of, we just realized that it's still 2 hours away from Grand Canyon West. They don't even have a shuttle to take you there. You still have to go there yourself. If you want to go to Grand Canyon West, might as well stay on the strip in Vegas. The drive is 2 hours as well. I ended up burning the cost of my one night stay at this lodge (just cancelled it because we booked it through Bookings.com) in favor of some other accommodation in Kingman. Paid two properties for one night. Lesson learned. Never trust recommendation from tour websites. Always double check yourself. From this: https://grandcanyonwest.com/explore/hualapai-lodge-route-66/ """ Situated on the longest remaining stretch of the original historic Route 66, the Hualapai Lodge is the primary starting point for travelers looking to explore the raw Grand Canyon landscape via whitewater rafting, hiking, fishing, hunting, and more. Experience the historic charm of Route 66 and the unique culture of the Hualapai Tribe when you stay at this Peach Springs, Arizona hotel. """ Yeah, don't go here. Stay somewhere else if you want to go to Grand Canyon West. If you have other destinations around Hualapai Lodge, then go for it.

Yelp
We wanted to visit the Hualapai Reservation and see that side of the Grand Canyon and surrounding countryside. Hualapai Lodge is the only hotel/motel in the area and we were not disappointed. The hotel was very clean, staff was friendly and inviting. Better yet, they have a little restaurant on site. So convenient! Keep in mind this is a very small town so you can't expect gourmet but everything we had (dinner twice and breakfast once) was tasty and served with kindness. Thank you Kristen for making us feel welcomed. Overall, we were very happy with our choice of staying here. Beautiful scenery near by was icing on the cake. Note: there is a train that runs near by but it didn't bother us as we were able to sleep right through it.

Yelp
Clean and spacious rooms! This is my second time staying here on my way to a camping trip in Havasu Falls. https://www.google.com/search?q=havasu%20falls%20camping&client=ms-android-hms-tmobile-us&rlz=1Y3HWTA_enUS538US549&espvd=1&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sboxchip=Images&sa=X&ei=PMh-U-HFKYv5oAS9_oHIDQ&ved=0CAcQ_AUoAQ&biw=360&bih=567&dpr=3#facrc=_ If you're visiting the Havasu Falls, Supai Village, or white water rafting in the area, I strongly recommend staying here. One very important fact! There is a train track right by the lodge and the train travels every 15 minutes. Train whistles blow and creates a somewhat rustic, romantic mood. The front desk offers complimentary ear plugs. Be sure to take them, just in case the train noise prevents you from getting a good night's sleep. Be sure to also bring your swim suit. There is a salt water pool and spa. The water temperature for both were perfect. When I return to this area, I will be coming back.

Yelp
Do not stay here. This was honestly the worst Sleep we've ever had. The train woke us up every 15 min even with the ear buds they provide to you . The advertise it's close to Grand Canyon but it's at least 2 hours away which they didn't tell us and lastly we we're supposed to get the helicopter and pontoon tour but they didn't tell us it only runs on the weekends. So all in all terrible trip we scraped it and headed to vegas and enjoyed our time there

Yelp
I had to decide between staying here or Caverns Inn the night before our hike out to Havasupai and I opted for the lodge because I saw that Caverns Inn was on 'Ghost Adventures' and I'm not too keen about paranormal activity. LOL. Anyway, check in was easy and quick. We had a 2 queen bedroom which was spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable and we had a good night's rest before our hike out the next morning. There was also a mini fridge and microwave in the room. Yes, the train does pass by behind the lodge all throughout the night, but me being a light sleeper, I had no issues being up all night. If the train is a concern for you, I would recommend bringing ear plugs to help. Overall, I was very pleased with my stay at Hualapai Lodge and I would recommend anyone who is hiking Havasupai to stay here. It's about 1.5 hours away from the trailhead.

Yelp
Super basic lodge. Pretty much stayed here so that our drive from Vegas to Hualapai Hilltop was shorter since we planned on leaving early in the morning. It's actually pretty expensive for a one night stay but there's not much in this town. The beds were comfortable and the shower pressures were good. The only negative was the every 15 minute train that literally went by. I should've known it would be a problem when we checked in and saw that they offered free ear plugs. I guess depending which side of the hotel you're on you'll hear it more/less. But it was very loud so if you're a light sleeper I don't know how much sleep you'll get. There's a restaurant on site and they do offer a quick breakfast but we didn't try either.

Yelp
Friendly staff and a very clean lodge. Everything was well maintained and even the restaurant had good food. It's perfect for people who want a place to stay before/after Havasupai... but it's located right next to train tracks and the train runs by every hour. ITS VERY LOUD!! If you're a light sleeper like myself, be prepared to be woken up every hour throughout the entire night...

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised! I wasn't expecting much, quick one night before hiking down to the Havasupai. Two queen beds room was very spacious, trains run all night long, they gave me ear plugs but forgot about I had one. It bothered me but I knew about it before I decided to book here. Front desk staff was very friendly, they also have concierge desk with all sort of tour information available. I was looking into the white river rafting, I may have to come back here for that sometimes soon. The hotel rate includes breakfast, $5 more for hot breakfast. Restaurant at the hotel is the only restaurant in town, so you are going to eat here unless you want to drive 30 miles. Gift shop sells food and water, perfect time to buy that water before your hike. Dry nation here, so no alcohols sold. Nice bed, hot shower, clean room, friendly staff... What else do I need anyway?

Yelp
Wow this is such an amazing lodge. The friendliness is more than in any place I have been. Wow!!! If you ever need to stay somewhere near by to Grand Canyon or even Vegas...this is the spot! Had a great time! Continental breakfast is great. The cold breakfast is delicious, if you want some hot breakfast it's 5 bucks more. Everything was delicious. Very helpful. All smiles everywhere. They talk to you like if you were family.

Yelp
We booked a 1-day river rafting tour on the Colorado River, so we stayed at the Lodge, since the tour departs from there early in the morning. I was not expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised. I believe the hotel is fairly new, and it is comparable to a Hampton Inn or Holiday Inn Express. Room had comfy beds, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, hair dryer, etc. Good lounging area, plenty of parking spaces. Service was good, pricing decent, no issues during our stay. The problem for light sleepers is the train noise. About half a mile from the property are train tracks, and 24hrs a day the train will sound it's horn, which is very very loud. I sleep like a rock, so it was no issue for me, but other guests complained. Note: they offer free ear plugs to those needing silence. We had breakfast at the restaurant (Diamond Creek) the next morning (it is free for guests of the lodge). It is "continental style" but you can order eggs and bacon for a small additional charge. It was very good. Recommended!

Yelp
my family and i planned to stay here. we looked on the grand canyon wests official website under the places to stay and this lodge was listed with a couple other choices. Since this was the official grand canyon west website you would obviously think you will be staying at or near grand canyon west. But when we arrived at grand canyon west and asked the worker where the lodge was he informed us that is was a 2 hour drive there from grand canyon west. we had to cancel our room because we had a flight in the morning and that would just be to far of a drive from the air port and probably will not receive a refund. ive never actually been there so I cant judge the hotel itself but from other reviews i saw it's probably best to save your money on this place

Yelp
This is a very nice place to stay with kids. There is a family laundry, a pool outside ( small) and a sadly defunct hot tub. But who cares about a hot tub when its 112-degrees outside. Amiright? The rooms are clean, the linens area fresh and there is no disgusting lingering smell of cigarettes. The AC works which blocks the sound of the trains going by. The breakfast is regular fair, hot and the service is good. People have complained about the $$ but guess what. You are supporting the local families here and get it right, you are a visitor. They treat you well and kindly. But friends, let me tell you that the River Rafting is amazing. All the cumulative experiences offered here are worth it. The entertaining river guides trying to joke each other, the group of people on the rafts that you make friends with. One of the stops is on a beach full of crystals. Its pretty amazing and worth your dollars. Your kids will be amazed and so will you. TIPS: bring a snack or two for the 2.5 hour bus ride home after rafting. Bring your kids a book or a charged up device. Also it's hot as a mofo. Drink waters!

Yelp
So this the closest place to stage before heading to the trail to the havasupai falls, unless your planning to camp out in your car in the parking lot of havasupai falls trail head. But if your heading out late of the Havasupai village i would recommend sleeping here, especially if you have a long drive ahead of you. its better to stay safe than drive fatigued. The staff of Halapai Lodge are friendly and are available 24/7 at the office. There is a small store in the lobby where you can buy simple snacks if the gas station across the street is closed or the restaurant at the lodge. I stayed here with my friends in February when we visited the the falls. We were able to check in fast and and check out easily at 6am. If you are heading to the falls during the peak season i would recommend in getting your reservations early to ensure that you have a good price and a room to crash the day before or after your hike. I plan to stay here again the day before i hike at Havasupai next year.

Yelp
The resterauntt was good. No free breakfast. The room we got was next to verry loud wistle blowing trains that went by every 20 minutes. Got 2 nights of NO SLEEP! Beds and pillows made of hot material, made for uncomfortable sleep also. Staff would not acomidate a move to the other side of building where train noise would B less aggravating. Asked 4 different desk staff. Not willing to help.

Yelp
There are not many places to stay out this way but please avoid this place. It should be called "the depot" or "train station" since the train actually rattles the place and blows the horn every 15 minutes...all night long. They did not even mention this or offer ear plugs. On top of all that, it's expensive and hardly worth it. The pool is not even warm. The manager is also condescending and sassy. It's not fun to be talked down to by a service industry professional. He could have been nicer. Last, the staff stare at you like you're an alien. The plus side, the restaurant is okay and the server was sweet. Gave them an extra star for this. Stay at Grand Canyon Caverns Inn. We did our second night and it was way better and the staff were all sweet.

Yelp
8 of us stayed here the night before heading out to the Havasapai Trail. We were pleasantly surprised that it was a nice lodge. We weren't sure what to expect. I stayed in a room with a King bed with my friend. The bed and pillows were comfortable. It was more than enough space for the both of us. The bathrooms could've been a bit cleaner but hey, we were heading out to go camping and not shower for a few days. I could handle it a little dirty. Just found some hair that wasn't ours in the shower. We arrived around dinner time and left at 4am so we didn't fully experience all the amenities. They have a restaurant, Diamond Creek which we ate at and a gift shop that we stopped in. They definitely do have a train that comes by often but they provide earplugs should you need them. Everyone was friendly and helpful at the front desk.

Yelp
A little expensive, but much nicer than I'd expected for a hotel in the middle of nowhere! The rooms were very clean and comfortable and the hotel includes a gym, salt-water pool, and restaurant. Free WiFi was great, but my phone didn't get cell service out here. Free breakfast is offered until 10am at the restaurant downstairs which is a huge plus. I like that they offer brown bag breakfasts to people checking out early to do the Havasupai hike, but they're $5 each. This hotel is right next to the train tracks so if your room is in the back, you'll be able to hear the train passing by. They offer free earplugs because of this, but our room was at the front of the building and I didn't hear the train at all. The best thing about this hotel is that they allow other members of your group to check in even if it's your name on the reservation. We had multiple cars staying here and all of the rooms were booked under my name. All I had to do was speak to the front desk for them to allow our other group members to check into their rooms without me there. If you're staying here before and/or after the Havasupai hike, just remember that it's a 1-1.5 hour drive to the trail head so prepare accordingly. That sounds far, but it's still the closest hotel to the trail head. Overall, I would definitely stay here again the next time I go to Havasupai!

Yelp
Not worth it.. Ill start with the good so I don't make this an entirely negative post... the restaurant is right down stairs, the hotel is closer to the caverns if that's what you are looking for, they have a shuttle that will take you to a few places, and the beds are comfy! That being said, I don't know how this lodge has so many stars. This place is terrible. We haven't been out into town yet but it's very small, and the drive from somewhere else would be better than staying here just to go to the caverns. It'll save you money. Trust me. Go on ahead to Kingman or stay back in Williams. This place is not nice enough for what it charges. There is only one restaurant..... in the whole town, and it's at the lodge (This is what we were told when it took over and hour to get dinner the first night ((the only night)) we were there, so the excuse was that they had so many orders that the kitchen was backed up). The food was decent though. The manager is the only guy who was even remotely friendly or welcoming, even though he did rub me the wrong way when we got there and we told them we had a reservation and his response was word for word "Really? Here? Are you sure?" And when we went up to the front desk to ask about cancellation charges, the lady did not even look at us when she spoke and asked if we wanted to see the manager. And not that they are obligated to do anything for us, nothing was offered to help make our stay more enjoyable. Breakfast is "free" but there is an up charge for hot breakfast (eggs, bacon, etc...) otherwise your stuck with toast and cereal and watered down coffee. Which to be totally honest was fine with me, but it may not be for others. There is a train out the back window that runs every 20-30 minutes. And when I mean out the window, I mean it's literally across the back parking lot. The front desk gives you ear plugs for the night it's so close. And it's runs ALL night. But to be honest, that's not what woke me up in the middle of the night... the air conditioning woke me up because it sounded like an industrial refrigerator turning on. (This may have just been our unlucky room). Also, if you don't have VERIZON phone service you will have NO service anywhere in town. The place has good wifi and you should be able to text and get on apps, but nothing else. Like not even a bar. My phone says No Service. Needless to say... absolutely not worth the price. It wouldn't be so bad if they didn't charge $150-$170 a night. The picture attached is the train out our window this morning.

Yelp
I am currently here at the lodge. It's a birthday trip and my husbands first time to the Grand Canyon. We are very disappointed! We did the Skywalk earlier which didn't let you bring any cameras because they want you to spend money to buy their own pictures. We have a one day water rafting trip tomorrow so we booked this lodge, out of convenience since they pick you up for here for rafting. The hot tub was not working. The salt water pool is dirty. I tried cancelling my second night here because the amenities I paid here are not being provided and they basically said too bad. I can't cancel because I had to cancel 72 hours prior. The messed up part is that I called twice asking about the pool and hot tub and no one said it wasn't working. Also the restaurant staff is rude you need to make a reservation to eat there but the waiter made it seem like we will be rushed in the morning bc we are being picked up and other people eat here as well. Hmmm ok I'm a customer and willing to pay for a service, no one is nice here. Nothing relaxing about this whole mini vacation. Everything we ask for an inconvenience for the staff. Never again. It's been an awful birthday for me and they don't care we are in Native land. They just want your money. I suggest you google hotels in Kingsman about 50 miles from here off of Route 66 and there's nicer places to stay at if your going hiking or doing the water rafting trip. Do not stay here, not worth the prices and headache. Hope this review helps you plan your vacation.

Yelp
Homey, heart felt, and reliable. Haulapai Lodge welcomes all. This is a lodge I recommend for those who plan on venturing in this area such as Havasupai Falls, visiting the Grand Canyon, etc. It's a nice place to recover after a long car ride and rest up before your big camping adventure and vice versa. When booking be sure to request the side away from the train. We were destined for the side with trains, but to our surprise we lucked out with the side with no trains. Bring your own hair conditioner, face wash, shampoo, and body soap... this is their weak spot, sure they provide some soaps and shampoo but there's no conditioner zip zero nada. Also this area gets pretty cold, like you'll need a wool coat cold... but the lodge has a nice warm temperature at night. Free and strong wifi available at the hotel sans password. There is no service in this area for a good 50 mile radius at least, once you start your navigation do not quit the app otherwise you are doomed to a compass and paper map. Apple maps said Hualapai Lodge will be on one side of the road but it was off by a quarter mile and located on the opposite side, not too off but note that it was off so don't panic. The name is written on the side of the building and it's visible in the day, however it is not well lit at night. Dine in at their restaurant if you're hungry, it's the only restaurant in and around Peach Springs. The Ranch Salad which is basically an iceberg / spring mix salad with some diced onions, blue cheese, shredded carrots and medium rare steak with your choice of dressing was decently fresh, healthy and delicious for $12. The pizza was very pleasant and fresh, we built our own pepperoni and black olives. It is really big whether you get a medium or large...let's just say we were both starving and still couldn't finish it all medium or large, I'd say the large is good for three or four people. Try the habanero hot sauce, it's yummy! The servers here are wonderful and friendly, it's more than a restaurant it's a community effort to welcome visitors. Breakfast is included, for $5 you can upgrade to a hot breakfast which includes eggs, sausages, bacon, the works. We stuck with the basic breakfast because there was plenty of staple foods: high quality cottage cheese, a few varieties of yogurts, cereal, hot oatmeal, milk, orange juice, coffee, tea, bananas, apples, melons, whole wheat bread, white bread, jam, butter, hard boiled eggs, pastries, granola, granola bars... Overall this place is definitely not a four seasons, but it does have a contemporary touch and quality service. This is the choice lodge to stay at. Happy trails.

Yelp
No frills lodge. Only reason to stay here is if you're doing the white water rafting trip. We were on the side opposite the train, and had the A/C running, which drowned out the train sounds (but had an obnoxious THUD every time it turned on/off).

Yelp
Warning do not stay here!! We decided to stay here for our honeymoon. Our first negative encounter was at the restaurant for breakfast we were the only customers there,it was obvious thar we were bothering the waitress by being a patron she left us unattended made us feel like we were a inconvenience served microwave pancakes and was annoyed when we asked for second cup of coffee because she had to make fresh pot... then .ade a fuss because we only tipped her $2. Frankly, she didn't deserve that. This is the only place within 30 miles so we had to eat there for dinner. We were chastised for not making a reservation, when there was no one in the dining room to be served instant potatoes, and disgusting frozen vegetables. We checked into our room which was clean, bit it is right in front of train tracks that ran all night!!!! MY HUSBANDS GARMWNT BAG RIPPED WE ASKED FOR A LARGER GARBAGE TO COVER IT WE WERE TOLD NO!!!!! It is very obvious no one wants to work there an are allowed to ha e the worst customer service ever. If I could I would leave 0 stars

Yelp
That was one romantic getaway ! A very hot one tho! First of all, People cellphones don't work there ! Maybe Verizon has some reception, not everywhere ! The room phones are so so expensive! WIFI , Hummmm it didn't work for us ! So if you are ready to just go somewhere to relax and be romantic, why not ! There is one gas station 10 miles away, so before you get to the lodge fill the tank. Sometimes the gas pomp don't work! and since cellphones don't work, you need a real GPS to find the place. It's or Route 66, so you wont miss it. If you have a SUV like mine, you don't need the jeeps to go the river, you can just drive to the River and the Canyon. It's unpaved road, 18 miles, and it took me one hour with some stopping to get pictures. You need permit since it's a reservation and it's kind of private. The ladies at the lodge do not have any info!! The concierge closes at 6 pm and trust me, it wasn't a big help anyway. So do your homework then hit the road. and just one night stay is enough. They have packages that you can get and have a picnic lunch for the road. You don't see the walls and cannot go on the walls to see down, but you can just go down to the river which other RIMS don't have that. Sky-walk I heard alot that it's a tourist trap, I didn't go there. You have to pay $30 to go to the sky-walk, and $40 to get there for just 5 miles which is stupid in my opinion, you cannot take photos or hold anything on the sky-walk. One of the thing I loved about this place is the cellphone which don't work and you feel so faraway from humanities.

Yelp
We stayed there the Thurs night before our hike into Havasupai Falls early Friday morning. The hotel it's self was nice, the staff was nice & the room was clean. A few things that were not communicated when we booked our rooms: 1) A train barrels through (right by hotel) every hour & sometimes twice an hour in the night.....ALL NIGHT!! It was so loud I checked to see if our window was open. 2) When turning on our AC (to drown out the train) it made an even louder clanking noise, so off it went. 3) They offer breakfast BUT NOT early enough for hikers & nothing complementary to take with you. 4) The coffee pot was located in the BATHROOM, gross!! We will be looking for another hotel (to actually get a good night sleep in) next year when we make the hike again.

Yelp
The location (shy of 70 miles from the Hualapai Hilltop), hot running shower and bathroom are the best things about this accommodation. We stayed here to get a good night's rest before embarking on our 10-mile hike to Havasupai Falls. There is also a 76 gas station and small market across from this hotel.

Yelp
It depends on what side of the hotel your room is on. The rooms on one side back up to the train tracks. Trains run all night long. Every 10-15 minutes a train goes by waking you up. Rooms on the other side of the hotel are right next to the parking lot. So every time a car and/or motorcycle pulls up, the headlights are beaming through the window, through the curtains, waking you up. The rooms were spacious enough, however I did not think they were very clean. There was a bee in the window of our room that I had to keep smacking with a towel to kill it. Also, the restroom smelled extremely musty and like urine, and the toilet seat was falling off. I'd say the biggest annoyance were the trains. No matter what side your room is on, the train going by will wake you up multiple times per night. This is something that is not specified at the time of booking and you learn about it when checking in. The hotel offers you earplugs upon checkin. Also, when booking a night through this place, they redirect you to a third party company to make your reservation at the last minute. This company seemed very sketchy and once you make a reservation, you can not get your money back for any reason. I called them and it sounded like I was speaking to someone in India!

Yelp
I would provide this place -5 stars is that was possible. These people are RUDE! The rudest customer service i have EVER received. The amenities they advertise on their website are over 2 hours away from the lodge itself. Skywalk, ziplining...not actually any where near this resort. I was promised a refund due to false advertising, and did not receive the refund only to be screamed at by the General Manager when I called to inquire why.
