Hualien Railway Culture Park

A very lovely and peaceful place, kind of a mini museum of Hualien railway history. There are some souvenir ink stamps to collect at the main entrance, they are very easy to see but also easy to miss. This place is free entrance! Don't expect too much or you will find it boring.

A lovely place near the beach. The building has Japanese style and its open space has some great old giant trees. I love the historical value of this place.

No other interesting things to do other than sitting or walking. The area had grown grasses nearby and needs to trim.

It's kinda boring here, even the entrance ticket is free. Everything seems very old and there are no activities or cultural events instead of the opening bookstore and a little activity for local families. But I think you can take good pictures here

A small museum with interesting displays of old railway gear and equipments. Buildings are very well renovated or preserved with the japanese theme from the old times. The miniature in the exhibition room shows what old Hualien train station & port and their surroundings looked like 40 years ago, however based on incorrect relative positions and distances. Free of entry, and definitely a must for railway fans.

Raining cat & dogs last month so we came here to chill at the cafe. Pretty cool place no much crowd, drinks taste ok though and price is pretty average also. Didn't walk around for long as the rain was very heavy and long lasting

Free entrance. There were a couple old trains on display outside and a room is decorated in 50s styles. You can put on the train crew uniform to take pictures. Kinda fun! The venue was also a traditional Japanese style architecture dates back to the 40s I believe. A nice place to take the elder to kill an hour. close to downtown.
