The 28 Best Hotels in Buenos Aires for Foodies, Tango Enthusiasts, and Architecture Lovers | Condé Nast Traveler

"Booking here feels like signing up for a full experience: the concierge team secures dinner reservations, polo or Teatro Colón tickets, and points you to the right craft‑cocktail bar. From the outside it blends into ritzy Recoleta, but inside you’re welcomed like it’s a private apartment, with Art‑Deco‑meets‑boho‑chic decor and perfectly placed furnishings. Guests gather on the terrace for afternoon tea, and each of the 11 rooms is unique, dressed with vintage furniture, wool textiles, cowhide rugs, and leather headboards in a dreamy palette of creamy whites and chocolate browns." - Celeste Moure

"Guests of the 11-room Hub Porteño in Recoleta don’t just reserve a room here, they are setting up their experience of the city. The hotel staff are intent on making sure, for example, that a guest understands the polo match they've brought him to or that a guest can glimpse a bit of gaucho culture in the countryside. Mirroring the experiences, the contemporary decor of each room is unique. Each blends a mix of vintage furnishings from local auctions with art on loan from the Fortabat Art Collection. A stylish living room serves as a meeting place for guests with its library, afternoon tea, and snacks sent out from the kitchen. The rooftop is home to a cozy terrace lined with comfy sofas and a bartender serving cocktails amid leafy views of the neighborhood, while the on-site restaurant from an el Bulli–trained chef features a fig tree growing right through its center."

Hub Porteño, Buenos Aires, Argentina - Hotel Review | Condé Nast Traveler

"How did it strike you on arrival? From the outside, it looks like any other apartment building in ritzy Recoleta. But step inside and you're greeted by the friendly staff who show you around the place like it's their own apartment. The decor is Art Deco-meets-boho-chic, and every piece of furniture is positioned just so. In the afternoon, guests gather in the terrace for tea service. The good stuff: Tell us about your room. Each of the 11 rooms is entirely unique and decorated with vintage furniture, wool textiles, cowhide rugs, and beds with leather headboards. A color scheme of creamy whites and chocolate browns is dreamy. How about the little things, like mini bar, or shower goodies? You don't just book a room at this hotel: it's an entire experience that includes a concierge team that will book your dinner reservations, score you tickets to the polo match or opera at Teatro Colon, and point you in the right direction of the coolest bar for a craft cocktail. Anything stand out about other services and features? Whether it’s childcare, gyms, spas, even parking—whatever stuck with you. Through the old-fashioned wood-paneled bar, past the ultra-modern restaurant with a tree running through it (and a former El Bulli chef manning the burners), and finally up to your room, this hotel puts to shame the slapped-together "design hotels" in other parts of town. Bottom line: worth it, and why? You're paying for a concierge team who'll book whatever experiences you desire while visiting Buenos Aires, be they an authentic asado in a nearby estancia, a behind-the-scenes tour of Teatro Colon, or a private tango lesson with a master dancer. The room is included with the curated experience." - Celeste Moure

Hub Porteño (Buenos Aires, Argentina) 3 Hotel Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"In a town whose trendier neighborhoods are positively bursting with boutique hotels, there’s truly nothing quite like Recoleta’s Hub Porteño, an eleven-room homage to the signifying power of marble and to the grand old city of Buenos Aires itself. Its proprietors land somewhere between hoteliers, civic boosters and high-end inbound tour operators, their project as much a rose-colored lens on the city as it is a base from which to explore. If you’ll forgive us for getting a little misty-eyed about it, you’re not so much booking a room as you’re booking an experience — a lovely place to stay, yes, but also a staff dedicated to getting you into the top restaurants, or showing you around the coolest estancia out in the countryside, or booking your tickets to the Buenos Aires Philharmonic, if that’s your thing." - Tablet Hotels

Our tour company arranged for us and friends to spend five nights at this boutique hotel in the heart of Recoleta. The location was excellent for touring. We were thrilled with the size of the room including an incredible amount of storage space. The beds and linens were of very high quality. Most importantly, the bathroom was gigantic with a double sink, separate shower and WC rooms and a jacuzzi tub. It was also big enough to fit a lounge chair in there. Really lovely and housekeeping kept everything spotless and came twice a day.||We enjoyed the bar and, especially, one of the bartenders Gaston. I only gave it four stars as the breakfast buffet wasn't that plentiful (miniature portions of everything) and the staff wasn't that friendly. That human interaction can really make or break a trip for us and we didn't get a warm feeling from most of them and some of the breakfast staff made me feel like I was inconveniencing them.||Still, I would return as the value was there.

The photos online do not reflect the reality of the hotel. Hub Porteño is not a true five-star property — the level of service and attention to detail are far below what one would expect for this price range (over USD 1,000 for 3 nights). There is no proper concierge or real guest service, and many small details throughout the property feel neglected. To make matters worse, there was a strong smell of fish at the entrance, which created a very poor first impression. To be fair, the rooms are spacious, and after we complained, we were upgraded to a suite, which we appreciated. However, this still doesn’t justify the extremely high price, which feels completely out of proportion to the overall experience — especially considering that this was our honeymoon.

Great location and friendly staff. Our room and bathroom were huge and clean, if a little tired and dark. Make sure you ask for a room on the other side to the main road as the traffic kept us awake during the night.

We had a fantastic time staying at Hub Porteno for 3 nights in January 2025. It is a small boutique hotel in a very nice area of the city - we felt very safe walking around at night. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout our stay. Belen and the team were always available on the desk and on Whatsapp and helped us with a number of queries and with booking trips. The room was very large and comfortable. Breakfast is served in the bar / lobby area rather than the restaurant, and the choice is more limited than larger hotels, but all still delicous. We didn't eat at the restaurant for dinner, but it has good google reviews (Lime Estilo Nikkei).||We would both recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

Our family stayed here for 3 nights while visiting Buenos Aires. The rooms are large with big bathrooms. Bed are comfortable and the staff is great. They went out of their way to make sure our stay was perfect. They serve a nice breakfast in the morning and there are other options in the area to eat at. The location is great as we walked the city from our front door. I would recommend this hotel.

Our stay was excellent! The breakfast was very good. It is located on a mostly quiet street in a wonderful area. The staff was very welcoming and incredibly helpful. The concierge went over and above to help us and offer suggestions. They helped make our stay in Buenos Aires memorable! Nancy USA

Well located small hotel in Buenos Aires which was walking distance to Recoleta cemetery. We were very comfortable here in a lovely large room. A big thank you to Andre. He was an excellent and attentive host. Nothing was a problem and he also arranged a cab to the airport when ours failed to arrive on time.

Hub Porteno is located in a very beautiful area of the city. Easy to walk to nearby sites, restaurants and bars and shopping. We felt safe here. The hotel is splendid looking and the bones of a very old building are good. Rooms are large. Breakfast is sweet and coffee Was fantastic. Staff work hard here to see that you have everything you need and want. Price was fair for our stay. Breakfast included too. If there was something needing improved it Would be to update some of the furniture that’s older and use a bit of bleach in bathrooms. The curtains in our room needed Refreshed as well. Small details but would take it to the next level which I believe can be done. Make sure to ask staff for help in booking events as they are ready to assist.
