Food was okay. Atmosphere okay. Service a little hit and miss on our visit (forgot part of drinks order for example).

We came to Hubbox Truro for a birthday meal. The staff were happy to let us have our epilepsy alert dog in the restaurant. They were all pleasant and friendly. The food was excellent and good value. The house drinks were also very good. We all agreed that it is our new favourite place to eat, after having another tasty meal in the Exeter Hubbox. Only minor constructive criticism was that there weren’t enough napkins in the pot on the table and so we had to take some from others.

Food outstanding. Highly recommend the gravy. We had the hot dog two burgers and onion rings. Everything so tasty. The atmosphere/place itsey has a cool funky vibe. All very clean. We sat inside only due to the rain but the outside was great as well. Just the service was a little unknown should we go to the bar or wait for service? As we were left a while. We decided to go to the bar ourselves but stopped as a waitress came over.

Went in as a walk in and told no walk-ins till 14:30, then booked for 14:00 arrived back in the restaurant at 14:00 to see a family in front of us get a table with no booking, the waitress in change of sitting then did not speak to us when taking us to our table. The food was not good to be honest, not at all filling either. Waited nearly 20 minutes for drinks, one of the milkshakes were in a smaller glass, than the other 2. The food took at least 40 mins. The burgers were cold, the only thing that was hot was the chips, but that’s because they came out after we had finished our burgers!!!! It cost £90 for 4 cold burgers, 3 watery milkshakes, a lemonade, 2 chips and greasy burnt onion rings. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Went in for a nice meal, left feeling very annoyed, disappointed and not at all satisfied. Just to add not everyone was rude and some of the staff were very nice to talk to, I have worked in hospitality for a long time and understand short staffing and the struggles of FOH. A real let down for a Cornish independent business.

Google
Waiting staff absolutely excellent here. Attentive, got everything right, and were over regularly to offer refills etc. We were served/helped by 3 different waitresses over the course of the night who were all very personable and put a smile on our faces. Food was great for the price too, I'm a real spice fiend and I'm used to "spicy fries" being very mild, these were genuinely HOT. Really nice to see something that could get my nose streaming, haha. Thanks for the excellent hosting skills

Yelp
It is in a converted chapel (pun intended) with a high ceiling, stained glass windows and a balcony. Apparently it's a chain. It seems to be very popular with groups of teenagers. One particularly large group came in sitting closely around two tables put together oblivious to any coronavirus concerns. Surprisingly the restaurant has Brooklyn beer on tap- being from Brooklyn that was interesting, though I opted for a local Cornish brew. We each had their Super Hub Salad £8.95. It has tabbouleh, marinated chickpeas, kale, roasted butternut squash and beetroot, fattoush, pomegranate and pumpkin seeds. We shared a Mezze Board £6.95- Hummus, baba ganoush & tabbouleh served with grilled flatbread. The food was good.

Yelp
Never disappoints. The food slaps, the service is great, and the atmosphere, while not for everyone, is fun. Nice to see one of these in such a small town.
