We absolutely enjoyed our stop here before heading to our camping spot. The food was delicious. Service was fast, the entire establishment was clean and our boys enjoyed walking through the gift shop. My favorite things were the Huckleberry Lemonade and the Huckleberry Turnover. My one son had the BLT sandwich and loved it, my other son had bone in wings, he didn’t particularly like those, my husband ate the Elk Patches Burger and I had a sandwich that was like a french toast Ham and Cheese Sandwich, it was so good!

We went in with high hopes—especially after seeing so many glowing reviews—but unfortunately, the experience didn’t measure up. We should’ve known it was a red flag when we were told that all burgers had to be cooked medium-well to well done. If that’s the only option, you’re almost guaranteed a dry burger. We ordered two: one beef and one elk. Both were, unsurprisingly, overcooked and dry. We also tried the Glacier dip sandwich and chicken strips. The dip was dry as well, though the au jus helped mask it a bit. The chicken strips were exactly what you'd expect from a freezer bag—basic and forgettable. The sides didn’t help much. The fries were bland and lacked any crunch, the onion rings were overcooked, and the macaroni salad was flavorless. Dessert was the one bright spot. We had the death by chocolate and huckleberry ice cream—both decent, not amazing, but satisfying. We also grabbed a huckleberry puff and huckleberry turnover to-go, and those were actually good. Being big blueberry fans, we had high hopes for our first huckleberry experience, and thankfully, those treats delivered.

I am not a fan of the wait-in-an-insanely-long-line business model to place an order and then have to wait again to find a table and then wait again to get your food. I don't understand this business model. It makes for a horrible customer service experience. This is the 3rd place in Columbia Falls that does this and they have failed in the customer service realm. They all could do better to change it. The gift shop side was their only saving grace. A lot of great gifts and so many made from or have huckleberry ingredients. I'd recommend that side. The restaurant side is a different story. We waited in a line to order our food for 20 minutes and then waited another 15 minutes to get a table and then another 38 minutes to get the order. The order taking staff were less than friendly. I understand they are in customer service and work with people all day, but at least smile and pretend you like your job. It would help the stress the customers are feeling having to wait in line after line (especially after already spending the entire day in line upon line at the National Park). The food was delicious and the huckleberry ice cream was the best we've had. So, in short, if you can brave more lines and chaos to get your food ordered and then a table, the food may be worth it.

Google
Read a lot of positive reviews thus wanted to give it a try. When we entered there were no free tables thus didn’t eat the food but still wanted to try something just coz of great reviews. Ordered the huckleberry ice-cream and huckleberry lemon. I was amazed to see the quantity of ice cream served for the price. Other places would serve half the quantity for the price. The huckleberry lemonade was also good. Coming to service- it was bad but it’s understandable as it was really busy. Overall a good experience and would recommend.

Google
This became a regular stop for us as we left Glacier National Park each day. We especially loved the Glacier Dip sandwich... great flavor combination. The huckleberry pie and garlic cheese curds were also delicious.

Google
5 Stars – A Must-Visit Gem! The Huckleberry Patch exceeded all expectations! From the moment we walked in, the service was warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive. The prices were more than fair—especially considering the quality and portion sizes. The dining experience itself was exceptional. Everything tasted homemade and fresh, with just the right balance of comfort and creativity. Our favorites? Hands down the Huckleberry Shake (absolutely addictive!) and the Montecristo—perfectly crisp, flavorful, and satisfying. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by. This place truly knows how to treat its guests right!

Google
We stopped here to try huckleberries out of curiosity. Overall everything was very tasty. We tried the pie with ice cream, huckleberry shake; and the lemonade. The shake was nothing to write home about, it mainly tasted like vanilla and had a few berries in it. The cake and ice cream was good; but the slice of pie was pretty small for the price. There was significantly more ice cream than pie. We also shipped for souvenirs here as well; there was a large selection of gifts and trinkets. We bought several stickers. Overall a fun little place to stop by while visiting glacier national park.

Google
Little stop on the Highway in Hungry Horse, Montana. Restaurant with store attached. Stand in line and order food .. then find a table. Fresh beef patties .. nothing tastes like good Montana beef. The Alpine Cristo is a Monte Cristo but with French Toast and served with huckleberry preserves. Seasoned Fries are delicious. Definitely worth your time and money.

Yelp
We were looking for food after a morning of hiking in Glacier National Park, and this place hit the spot! We were drawn in by the fact that it's been there since 1949, thinking that it must be good to have lasted that long. When you walk in, it's a really large store-think a souvenir shop mixed with the Cracker Barrel store. The restaurant is kind of small and gets busy, so be warned. I wanted to get something huckleberry since it's the thing in Montana, so I got the Original Classic burger. The huckleberry bbq sauce was so good! I can definitely see why it's so popular. I would highly recommend it for the true Glacier experience!

Yelp
Spacious counter serve restaurant with a gift shop attached. Generally average experience and hands off staff Would totally order these two items again - Huckleberry Shake (very creamy) - Fried Garlic Cheese Curds (very flavorful and crisp) And the sweet potato fries were the best side. Else the burgers were a bit dry and the regular "seasoned fries" were soft and not very flavorful despite the name. The portion size to price was decent value for the area. The huckleberry pie was mid, mostly too sweet and not much of a berry flavor. Crust was gummy in some areas and didn't have toasted caramelization. Huckleberry ice cream was fine. Skip getting pie here and just get the shake.

Yelp
Must try food place and store connected to it. Their food is so good especially the glacier dip and huckleberry shake is a must try! The restaurant looks nice and comfortable. Service takes a little while but food is worth waiting do.
google avatar

Olivia P.

Yelp
The huckleberry ice cream here is a must! I heard great things about their pie, but I'm just not a pie person but if you are, I would get the huckleberry pie with a side of huckleberry ice cream. Huckleberry ice cream has huckleberry chunks in it and is extremely flavorful. It's also a really good price for such a big scoop! They have indoor seating and other food here too as well as a store with fudge and other huckleberry memorabilia.

Yelp
Yum! Huckleberry shake, where have you been all my life? This may have been one of the best shakes I've ever enjoyed, and my wife said the same about her Oreo shake. Long wait because they were busy, but good things come to those who wait. You won't be sorry. Rearranging our schedule to go back at least one more time while we're here.

Yelp
* huckleberry milkshake 3/5 * huckleberry pie 2.5/5 The huckleberry milkshake was only so-so. Not much huckleberry flavor or excitement about it. The huckleberry pie had great filling, but the bread or the crust was not very good. Not sweet enough.

Yelp
Planning to visit glacier, this place is a must visit and enjoy their variety of huckleberry food. Ordered huck milkshakes beginning of our hike to hidden lake. On our way back to cabin we had huck pie, onion rings, fries and ice cream. They also have a huge store for gifts and huck jams, pie filling and honey. Staff is very welcoming. We enjoyed having delicious food from this place.

Yelp
The Huckleberry Patch is a big tourist attraction with a restaurant and a big gift shop. The food was decent and the restaurant clean.
google avatar

Michael L.

Yelp
Had Huckleberry Pie with Huckleberry Ice cream and a Huckleberry biscuit. I feel like I'm becoming a true local here in Montana. It was all great! Service was fast and smooth and handled the after dinner it's really hot out ice cream rush. They have a small variety of ice cream options but they do all kinds of different food options. There is a surprisingly large seating area to relax in and a few tables outside the gift shop area. If you're trying to get your huck on, this is a great spot to try. Enjoy!

Yelp
Yes, please. Cute and fun shop, just off the highway. The huckleberry shakes are phenomenal. We did a chocolate/huckleberry combo. So good.
google avatar

Yelp
The Huckleberry Milkshakes are amazing, with real whole Hu ckleberries. There's a cute shop with food clean restrooms. Saw the local firefighters having the burgers and they looked really good. There's a burger finishing station where you can put the fresh lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, etc on the burger. We plan on heading back to try the burgers, and I have another Huckleberry milkshake.

Yelp
Pie: 3/5 Personally much prefer this place in whitefish called Lulas. The pie was served cold which was unexpected and also was overly sweet. I split it with a friend, cannot have imagined eating the whole piece myself.

Yelp
Came here for lunch and came back the next day for breakfast. The gift shop was awesome, and they had a huge selection of items. Lunch: I had the bison burger with the huckleberry BBQ sauce and fries. The burger was very good, and the fries were definitely a winner! The huckleberry pie was good, but the huckleberry milkshake was the star of the show! The burger with jalapeño was delicious, and the Philly was too! Breakfast was a bit disappointing. The eggs weren't cooked to order, and the pancakes and French toast was ok. The huckleberry coffee was delicious. It can be a bit confusing to order, and you could definitely tell first-timers! You pick up a menu and order at the far counter. Once you place your order, you receive a ticket and a pick a table. They bring your food to the table, but it is self cleanup.

Yelp
What an absolute gem! Stopped in for a faked huckleberry milkshake and I was not disappointed. It was creamy, full of berries, and was a big serving size for the price. The staff was friendly and helpful. 10/10 recommend stopping in.

Yelp
After a long weekend in Glacier National Park, this was the perfect treat as we hit the road. Strongly recommend the drive out of the park to get good "regular priced" food. Their sign states they speak Huckleberry... very very true. Hands down one of the best milkshakes I've ever had. No matter why you are passing by... this deserves a stop. The huckleberry milkshake is to die for. Made fresh with their homemade ice cream and their huckleberry jam. We also had their patch burger which was a good choice. Other crowd favorites ate their ice cream, pie, and turnovers. Whether it is homemade food, souvenirs, keepsakes, etc. They've got you covered.

Kimberly M H.

Yelp
Food: some good: onion rings, Glacier dip, bleu burger. Some bad: crinkle cut fries. Industrial fries, and not freshly cooked; they must have sat in a warming tray for at least an hour. Drinks? All bottled. Apparently you can get glasses of ice if you ask; not sure if there is an extra charge for that. Service: What service? It's almost cafeteria style. You stand in line to order, then you have to go back to get your order, plus pick up a condiment tray (is it too much to ask to have condiments at each table?) And THEN you have to bus your own table? Ambiance: clean and bright. Fairly comfortable. Booths, tables and bar height seating. At least it was relatively cheap.

Yelp
We didn't eat food and went in several times for the huckleberry pie and ice cream! Absolutely loved it. It could get a little busy at times but totally worth it!

Yelp
We came for the huckleberry heaven ice cream and it was delicious!! Highly recommend!!

Yelp
If you love trying out local foods when traveling then this is the place for you. Huckleberries grow only in the wild and are found all around the Glacier region. We knew we wanted to try some huckleberry products to try them since they're local, but we weren't ready for just how delicious huckleberries would be and we got a bunch of huckleberry products and Flathead cherry products. We also tried the huckleberry milkshake, which was out of this world! Now I'm not one to usually get milkshakes and I've probably only ever had 4-5 in my entire life, but it was so good that we came back again the next day to get another one! It was seriously one of the best things I've ever had; it was the perfect balance of creamy, sweet, and a little tart and you just have to try it when you come here. We also tried some of the pie and it was tasty, but it was no where near the deliciousness that is the huckleberry milkshake. Definitely do yourself a favor and stop by and get one!

Yelp
We stopped here for a late lunch and I wish I had just kept going. There were only a few folks ahead of us when we arrived, but there was a huge line when we left. There were plenty of open tables, although finding a clean one was difficult. I spent over an hour here, but did not see one table get cleared or wiped down during that time. They were out of many items so I ordered a burger and fries. After a 30-minute wait both arrived ice-cold.

Yelp
Huckleberry everything when in the Big Sky Country! Hungry Horse is a small town that you drive through when going to the west end of Glacier National Park and Kalispell, so when we saw the sign of a restaurant called The Huckleberry Patch, with plenty of other signs indicating they had the best huckleberry pie and milkshake, we had to make a stop! The Huckleberry Patch is a restaurant and gift store with a lot of Huckleberry items to see and eat. The restaurant serves heartier, hot meals while the coffee counter is where you can easily get a slice of huckleberry pie and a huckleberry milkshake, which is what we ordered. The huckleberry pie was served warm and was delicious! Made with just huckleberries for the filling in a flaky pie crust, it was certainly worth coming here for. To top it off we had our huckleberry milkshake, which added that a la mode for the pie, as it was super creamy, with lots of huckleberry flavor! Ya gotta get these two items while at the Huckleberry Patch! I also was able to purchase some huckleberry gifts for friends, like huckleberry syrup and chocolate. But the gift store was large, with a lot of items to check out. I recommend making a stop at The Huckleberry Patch if this is your first time in the area and haven't had any huckleberry dessert. Noms!

Yelp
The best huckleberry pie. We always stop here after hiking in Glacier. Fun place to get souvenirs.
google avatar

Yelp
THe huckleberry shakes were so nice, we had them twice. Very, very tasty... But now that huckleberry pie... we took a pass on the pie that second go-round. Go for the shakes...
google avatar

Jaycie M.

Yelp
We stopped in on our last day visiting for a Huckleberry Shake and Huckleberry honey sausage biscuit. The shake came out quick and was delicious! It is chunky in texture due to chunks of huckleberry throughout the shake, just a heads up. We then waited with our order # 47 sign for the sausage biscuit. After 40 minutes, we asked to check on the order and were told that they are out of sausage. They offered to make it without the sausage, but didn't offer a substitute or refund. We had to catch our flight and ended up leaving empty handed. It's such a cute shop, I wish the communication and service was just a bit better.
google avatar

Wei J.

Yelp
We were late coming out of the Glacier NP and stopped for a quick dinner and dessert. Our daughter also did some souvenirs shopping. The food is reasonable priced and fast. The tastes are OK. The piece of pie was on the small side, but the Huckleberry ice cream was delicious.
google avatar

Andrea W.

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday morning around noon to get a slice of huckleberry pie, got it with a scoop of huckleberry ice cream. Pie was too sweet, had a ton of huckleberries though! Pie crust was thick, somewhat flavorless and mediocre. The ice cream was pretty good, not too sweet, ton of huckleberries too. Not too many people when we arrived, plenty of parking, cost $7+ post-tax and pretty pricey for what it was.
google avatar

Laura R.

Yelp
Convenient location with a great souvenir shop and restaurant. They offer a variety of huckleberry treats. I had a scoop of the huckleberry ice cream. The consistency of the ice cream and flavor was very good. Service was quick. There are plenty of places to enjoy your ice cream inside, and several benches and table outside as well.
google avatar

Krithika S.

Yelp
This cute shop is a must visit on the way to glacier national park. The store owners are so kind, and the icecream scoops are humongous! The huckleberry flavor is chockfull in every bite. They also serve warm huckleberry pie and milkshakes. You can also get other knickknacks in the store.
google avatar

Dan D.

Yelp
A fun little souvenir shop near the entrance to Glacier National Park. They have the standard t shirts and "look, we were in Glacier National Park!" items, but they are also all about the huckleberry concept. Huckleberry jam, huckleberry shakes, and a small restaurant where you could probably get huckleberry flavored eggs (I made that part up, but wouldn't be surprised) Definitely worth a visit - you might even see Huckleberry Hound.
google avatar

Lauren B.

Yelp
Cute place to stop! They have a country store vibe with a small shop to browse. The service is fast- it is easy to get in and out of for dessert. I was tempted to get a milkshake because they looked delicious but felt like I had to get the pie due to their claim to fame. The huckleberry pie was a good treat.

Jay R.

Yelp
Stopped here after a long day of hiking, and it was the perfect place for a much-needed snack! The huckleberry pie and ice cream were absolutely delicious--sweet, fresh, and the perfect treat. Cozy atmosphere and great service made it even better. Highly recommend this spot for a post-hike pick-me-up!
google avatar

Yelp
Huckleberry is king in Montana so when you're here you have to get huckleberry everything. There is a gift shop which has lots of varieties of souvenirs but I went straight to the restaurant area. They serve ice cream and shakes but they're well known for their huckleberry pie which is what I got. They serve them by the slice ($5.95) and also by the whole if they're not running low. It is super busy and the lines are long but they go by pretty quickly. The huckleberry pie was good and had a lot of huckleberry filling. Other than that it was just a normal slice of pie. It's slightly expensive given the amount of pie they give but they can afford to do that when it's such in high demand.
google avatar

Sandee L.

Yelp
When in Montana, you must eat everything huckleberry you can get your hands on! You won't be disappointed with the selection here. We skipped the souvenir section which had T-shirts, syrups, soaps, etc. and headed straight to the food. - Huckleberry pie a la mode: Served warm. You can order the a la mode part with huckleberry ice cream which was nice because I wanted to try the ice cream too. The ice cream was a winner: fruity and creamy. The pie crust was awful, resembling a really bad frozen pie crust, but the filling had tons of sweet and tart whole huckleberries! - Huckleberry shake: Whole huckleberries in the mix, which was a nice contrast with the smoothness of the shake. The lines are long here, but move fairly fast.
google avatar

Lila S.

Yelp
Really friendly server and amazzzzing huckleberry pie with huckleberry Heaven ice cream. The crust on the pie was delicious beyond words. Wow is all I have to say. Wow wow wow. Shoulda bought a whole pie to myself.

Rhonda N.

Yelp
We went in there for a quick lunch. 1.5 hours later we got our food! It was the first day they were open of the season and everyone, including the kitchen help, were brand new. They couldn't figure out the registers, didn't know how to make Huckleberry iced tea (it was plain iced tea), and our order sat at the pick up counter until it got cold because the cashier put the wrong order # in the register. Several people waiting for their food got refunds. Hope they work out the kinks soon or it's going to be a long summer!

Derek B.

Yelp
The shakes were terrific, very efficient ordering system. Also lots of great merchandise for browsing while you wait.
google avatar

Helene S.

Yelp
Nice place to stop for everything Huckleberry. Grabbed a delicious Huckleberry Shake and a slice of pie to go. Huckleberries are picked wild as they grow in the forest or fields. No huckleberry farms. Around Glacier, people can get paid $100 a gallon to pick huckleberries during their short growing season.
google avatar

Matt P.

Yelp
Nice place to stop at after a long days hike in Glacier NP. Their huckleberry pie is pretty good, but expensive for the amount they give you. They also have ice cream, but I didn't get a chance to try it. They also have a pretty big store front to purchase souvenirs and a good variety of huckleberry items. There's another Huckleberry store just down the road. Can't really say if that is better than this one, but it didn't higher marks than this place.

Roger K.

Yelp
Outstanding huckleberry pie. That's why we went and that's what we got. Hot food menu was limited to burgers but we didn't try them. Ordering is an inside walk up register. Service was friendly and quick. There is also a good selection of ice cream for cones and related items. You receive your purchase at the counter and select any open table then bus the tray yourself. It's a charming little place that feels like it belongs near the Glacier entrance. It's cute and friendly.
google avatar

Jan L.

Yelp
Although a tourist destination...this place was fun to shop at. Bought a few sweatshirts, some huckleberry jam, and had a nice lunch.
google avatar

Melinda H.

Yelp
This is a fun stop to grab Huckleberry pie and ice cream! This place also offers a cute Cracker Barrel barrel shop type experience with fun souvenirs for the tourist. I'm not quite sure if this place even has a kitchen I did see microwaves in use for most other things so this review has nothing to do with the food they serve... just their desserts! I highly recommend somebody trying to The huckleberry pie à la mode with vanilla ice cream. I also recommend ice cream in the waffle cones!
google avatar

Jennifer F.

Yelp
I'd been dreaming about their huckleberry pancakes for years and I was super sad to learn that they weren't doing breakfasts right now due to staffing shortages. I completely understand and was able to drown my sorrows in huckleberry pie a la mode and a giant huckleberry ice cream cone. Bummer, huh? It was freaking delicious! Still dreaming about those pancakes, though. Great gift shop. It's pretty huge and offers so much more than the usual t-shirts and postcards. The selection of huckleberry and Flathead Cherry jams, jellies, sauces, pie fillings, pie toppings, candies, and. . .well, you get the idea. There's a lot to choose from!
google avatar

Betty L.

Yelp
This place had run out if huckleberry pies so we ordered the huckleberry shake. The shake had pieces or huckleberry. It was super tasty. You can also order other menu items such as burgers and fries. You order at the counter and there is a gift shop attached to the restaurant.

Bob S.

Yelp
Let me just say, customer service is alive and well! I reached out to these folks on a specific mug that was purchased recently by my daughter in law and unfortunately broke upon retuning back home. Not only was their response prompt, they went way above and beyond in finding an exact replacement. Totally unexpected but greatly appreciated! WOW!! It's not just a mug, it's the memories attached with it.. The homemade fudge that was purchased was also a hit with my three grandkids. Not our last stop or purchase from kind people like this, it's the little things. A must stop in my book Thank you again
google avatar

Jamie N.

Yelp
This place used to be one of our favorite stops on the way to or from Glaicer National Park. Their huckleberry pie and coffee is good. Unfortunately one of the young female staff members was not so friendly on our last visit. Not sure if she was just having a bad day or generally had a bad attitude. She made us feel not welcome in the store and this is why. 1. We ordered coffees and when she brang them I asked if i could use the wifi and she told me it wasn't working. But another employee happily told me it was working fine and gave me the password. 2. We ordered some pie and she asked if it was for here or to go. I answered for here and she then gave it to me in a take out container. So i asked another employee if i could get it for here and he gladly put it on a plate for me. 3. When i asked if they offer coffee refills she looked at me blankly and another employee turned and said yes we do and refilled my coffee. Need less to say i won't be making this a must stop anymore.

Yelp
Interested in this hype berry? Look no farther! Huckleberry Patch is a large establishment serving food, dessert, and has an adjoining store selling all things huckleberry merch and other canned items. In our two day stay in the area, we came to huckleberry patch twice. The first time we ordered a huckleberry shake and a slice of huckleberry pie. If you like your pie warm, asked for it dine in and they'll heat it up for you, we ordered it to go and it came in a plastic container. The shake was very yummy (can't go wrong w a shake), but not much huckleberry flavor even though it had huckleberries inside of it. On our second visit, we decided to order ice cream, huckleberry of course, and party animal (cotton candy flavor ice cream w animal crackers). We were impressed by the sheer size of the scoops- pretty sure it was at least a pint of ice cream balancing on the cone. Great taste and value for what it is! Of the flavors, party animal was superior. Not quite sure what the hype for huckleberries is but it was a nice experience.

Yelp
Delicious huckleberry shake and pie! Such a unique flavor and perfectly sweetened. This is a gift shop, bakery, and deli. Lots of options and great prices. Thanks!

Yelp
During our stay in the Glacier National park area, we tried 4 different huckleberry milkshakes. For me this place made the best one! It was so smooth and strong huckleberry flavor, which was so new to me and very easy to drink up! They also got some snacks, ice cream and other local souvenir goods. I thought this place was excellent as a gift shop as well compared to other ones in the park. I would recommend here to "Glacier newbies" like me to visit at least once during the stay!

Yelp
Came here for lunch around 11:30 am. Not seeing a lunch menu in sight, I asked if they were selling lunch items. To my surprise, the male worker looked at his coworker, snickered, and said "No... I can cook you a sausage link if you want that instead?". I was thrown off by this. As a senior citizen, I found this level of disrespect astonishing. I continued to observe the way this young, brunette-haired man treated customers. It seemed that he was doing this often, using sarcasm to customers and laughing with his coworkers about it. Would not recommend this place if hospitality is something you hold in high esteem.
