I visited the Hudson’s Bay Store at Sherway Gardens Mall to take advantage of their store closing sale, 80 to 90% off deals. It’s really unfortunate that they are going out of business. It breaks my heart to see one of their flag ship store in shambles, clothes scattered and out of place. Empty floor space and display cases. Clothes on the floor, people in a frenzy grabbing whatever they can last minute. The store looked like it was being ransacked or looted. Chaos! I have been shopping at this store for 26 years. June 1, 2025 will mark the end of Canadian era.

Get excited on sale day!!! As you can see from the photos, it's one of those days when most everything is on sale. The Bay is a go-to place as it's always spacious, familiar, and well serviced. Like other branches, is always got some parking spaces right out the door, making for easy entrance and exit. The escalators are right next to each other unlike some places where the down is differently places than the up, and you lose previous time looking for the right escalator. The washroom were surprisingly well maintained and clean as well.

I express my sincere appreciation to the staff, particularly those in the Suits and Fragrances departments, for their exceptional dedication and tireless efforts in assisting customers during the recent, demanding liquidation sale. While I don't know you all personally, I recognize the challenging circumstances and wish you every success in your future pursuits. Big love ❤️

Google
Sad to see its final days, but we were still able to find some deals. The staff were terrific even though they had less than a week to go before losing their jobs. Hope help can be found to provide some severance to staff, seems off that managers get bonuses yet 10+ year employees get nothing.

Google
Wide selection of clothing, store is clean, I am not gonna lie, I've been to many Hudson's bays and usually the staff don't want to be bothered to help you out. Upon entering this location I asked 2 staff members to help me out looking specific items, but they didn't seem interested, but One gentleman staff member, he blurted out to someone if they needed help and he was ignored so I said I need help and he didn't even hesitate, I believe his name was Nav, he was super helpful and went out of his way to help me find a full suit for a wedding I had coming up, all under $500, I really appreciated his undivided attention as the store is so big so it can be hard to find the one item you need.

It's the cleanest bay in the area except if you are here as a couple or with your family, don't get lost inside and keep your phones with you as it's get quite confusing for first timers lol. Overall nice store with okay deals. I always park in the open to sky parking lot beside Bay.

Sales are amazing and seeing my best friend today is the ribbon on top! June 1/25- I couldn’t find anything here because everything is gone but seeing my best friend at sporting life is always worth it!

Google
It is sad news of the Bay bankruptcy, and closing so many locations through Canada. it s common things happening in business. They are saving any single cent. But they are robbing purchased giftcards from customers for families, friends and loveones. That s even worse, the Bay is Canadian history of trading Post. Don't loose it, Eh! We can not use the bay gift cards. Why not ? Why Only in period of time. Why the bay robbing our gifts.

Yelp
I got a sweater for Christmas as a gift. Went in today to exchange it, it was never worn, just didn't fit right. The brand of the sweater is their house brand. They would not exchange it because it did not have the tag. I cannot be the only person who returns an item without a tag. The manager, Frank, was very obnoxious and smug. I have been a customer for decades and have always had great service, but this interaction with Frank will make me second guess coming back here to buy again.

Yelp
The parking here is unreal. They have an automated sign that tells you how many spots are available in the parking garage but it doesn't work right. For us, it said 99 spots but there wasn't one open. The store is a three floors and looks great with modern displays and decorated nicely for the holidays. However, the staff there aren't that friendly or helpful. We were in the luggage area and both staff were brief with us and didn't seem that enthusiastic when we were buying travel bags.

Yelp
1-2020 get TAP for the cash register (especially during covid) 2-look at Walmart, target, as far as cash registers at entrance/exit, empty random cash stations.... long lines Otherwise THE BAY is pretty great, but they gotta get with the times

Yelp
Dont like the place. I bought a Jacket worth $200. When I was going to wear it, I found that it was having a little hole near the pocket. And once I went back there for replacement they said they cant return it. Tried to make them understand but they said No. Bad customer service. Wont recommend anyone to go there and spend their hard earned money. Bad place.

Yelp
My wife and I went in to get a swimsuit for her for an upcoming holiday. It had been years since I had been to a Bay store. There were soooooo many clothes. I couldn't believe how much square footage was dedicated to clothing now. I was expecting a "Sears" style vibe but it definitely was not that. We made the huge mistake of coming in on the 1st floor and having to go to the top floor to get to ladies wear. Do not...I repeat... do not hand a left off the escalator on the second floor. The fragrance section could choke anyone. I thought I was going to have to crawl out of there to reach the escalator to the third floor. That being said, they did have a wide selection of swimsuits for my wife to choose from and on sale as well.

Yelp
Though it is newly re-designed and with some of the better stock compared to other Bays, this one still misses the mark and makes it a mediocre shopping experience. Let's do the checklist... 1 - No sales associate available except at the cashiers ... YUP 2 - Cashiers are overwhelmed and the line up are at least 8 people deep ... YES 3 - Confusing 'boutique' layout where you can only purchase some brands at one particular cashier only ... Dont know why they do this ... but a mind numbing Oui 4 - No sizes below M ... I guess the Bay doesnt want me to shop here 5 - Getting attacked by fragrances... Ugh, I didnt need to smell like Mugler's Angel. 6 - Chaotic sales area ... I can barely figure out what's on sale at times. So, long story short... I would recommend to buy online instead but I think their online checkout process is just as bad as their in store experience. Here's hoping that Nordstrom is much better.

Yelp
The Hudson's Bay Company aka "The Bay" has revamped this store entirely from what I remember before they changed the signs while adding an entirely new look inside which is much more modern. Basically the look of the 80's is gone. That is how I remembered this store before but no more. This store has had pretty much a complete redesign and it looks much more upscale than previous years. If I had to compare the look it's probably somewhere between a Macy's and a Bloomingdale's now. I ended up buying a wallet in the men's section. Currently HBC is the only department store anchor in Sherway Gardens (if you don't include the specialty Holt Renfrew) until Saks on the Eaton's/Sears (east) side is complete. Nordstroms is supposed to be built in the older food court south section of the mall (south side). The new parking structure on the north side has red/green lights to mark if parking spots are free along with a number signifying how many spots are free in the structure before you even enter. There is valet parking that is available near the south Entrance of the mall (the side that faces Evans Ave).

Yelp
Immaculate shopping experience. The store is beautiful just to look at, managers are so helpful, great selection and rewards program. Nothing feels better than saving up your Bay rewards points and then treating yourself to something nice. When they were open they sanitized the register between every customer, even the pens. It is one of the stores I feel safest at during this pandemic, and I enjoy the curbside pickup especially right now during lockdown. Keep an eye out for deals and you will love this store.

Yelp
I really like this location. Lots of parking, and, it's a very large store, 2 very large floors. So there's lots of merchandise to choose from, unlike the smaller locations! I have found staff and management extremely friendly, competent and helpful, they go out of their way to be helpful! There's also a great selection of handbags, and clothing, including the high-end, expensive brands, and they often go on sale too, unlike smaller (non-Bay) stores! And they can offer them, because of how big the store is! They open nice and early too!

Yelp
*Generally disorganized *Can seldom find what I'm looking for *If I have a return from more than one department, whichever cashier you choose says, "oh, mens? that's on the x floor." I have to schlep from department to department to return each thing to its rightful home. I imagine so that the staff doesn't have to. *The fitting room "attendants" don't "attend". If you need another size, get dressed, go back out and get it yourself *If you need a room in the fitting room, it's a scavenger hunt to find an employee *If you do find one, 50/50 chance of, "Oh, sorry, I only work for the x department. I only deal with the x brand. You'll have to find a Hudson Bay employee." And yes, *you* will have to find that person. Even though *she* has a phone that pages. I honestly don't understand how this company stays in business...

Yelp
HORRIBLE Customer Service. We've been trying to reach them all week to confirm that a dress is still on hold since the lockdown began, no one answers at any of their extensions. My mother reached a manager this morning as soon as the store opened, tried to explain the situation to him, he was not intelligent enough to understand obviously, and had no intention to help. Told her "you'll just have to come in here" and hung up. She's 90 years old. It's her grandson's wedding this weekend. What a disgrace! There are many people out there looking for a job. People like him should not be working in "customer service" which The Bay currently has none of. Find people who really want to help customers!
