Purchased a Lunchable from the Terminal A location while passing through Newark. Opened it after I left (with in an hour of purchase) and the meat was moldy. The expiration date said August 2022 which means the food was likely stored incorrectly. I kept my receipt but was not going to carry around moldy meat for my three day trip. When I passed through on my way back I stopped by to see about a refund and was told that the policy required me to return the product… I was told that I should have kept the moldy meat and brought it back.

I was looking for some merchandise to bring back home. This is just outside of the entrance of where my gate is. Found a nice jacket and t-shirt to purchase. Lady at the counter was very nice and a delight to speak to.

Google
Clean newspaper, magazine, and snacks cove in terminal B. Usual supplies, usual airport prices

Google
Horrible service. Lady at the counter doesn't help or even talk for that matter when asked if she can help find something.

Yelp
I was in Terminal A and purchased a couple of magazines to read on the plane. Nothing outrageous and the young lady at the register was very polite and helpful. I thought this particular Hudson's was cramped and at the time of day I was in there, I was blinded by the sun shining in. Wide selection of reading material and a few things to keep little ones occupied while flying. As expected.

Yelp
i'm in the C terminal waiting for my flight. the book store is, pardon the cliche, the eye of calm in the storm. The books are a stunning collection - awesomely creepy kids books to enthrall the pre-teen crowd, graphic novels, books about POC, books by POC, international authors, and something for every reader. Books in spanish -- from fiction to true crime-- gorgeous travelogues. Strong POC focused collection. An inspirational reading section Grandmother B would love -- Granmere V would go for the crosswords. My tastes are eclectic and well matched by this lively oasis, but even my dad (conservative and non-fiction reader) would appreciate the multiple standing shelves of biography, history, and business. If they had coffee, I'd spend my entire layover here. Oh, wait, let me hit the espresso stand around the corner and come back...

Yelp
Poor layout that's extremely difficult to navigate even with the smallest rolled luggage. Considering the location this seemed a little ridiculous. Doesn't carry tissues or any other "traveling with a cold" supplies; I asked about tissues and was given an annoyed look. Other Hudson News in different airports carry this kind of thing, so I'm not sure why I was looked at like I had three heads.

Yelp
The reason I'm giving only 2 stars is the prices and the lack of knowledge of the person workig there. I was leaving Las Vegas and stopped by the Hudson store. I asked the clerk how much a USB C charging cable was, she looked at it and almost like she was questioning said $50, what! I then asked her about a pair of Bluetooth earbuds, again looks like she is guessing and says $199that's crazy. Where are these prices coming from. I asked the lady if the earbuds needed a charger, she says she doesn't know. I asked her if she could open the box so I could know before buying. She tells me no. So I say," okay, well if I open after buying and find out they need one them you are going to give me a refund right? She says "No refunds". Terrible customer service. Customer satisfaction. You may want to check into this particular store because guessing at prices and making them more than they are, to me is someone stealing from the customer. There are lots of more things on the stores, but it's not right to take advantage of travelers the way you are.

Yelp
You just suck me in every time I fly and I get SO mad at myself for even walking through the entrance. Whenever I fly, I bring reading materials with me...books, magazines, articles, etc, yet you suck me into buying something else to read. Why? What the hell is wrong with me? I could have bought the same thing at a discount had I gone to Barnes and Noble or I could find the articles/magazines online...yet I still spend my money. At least I usually stay away from the ridiculously priced snacks.

Yelp
Rating: 3.5/5. Overpriced interesting food items such as organic dried banana covered with peanut butter, walnut covered with dark chocolate, etc. Candies, beverages, newspapers, electronics, etc. were also available.

Yelp
This is your typical Hudson News.Located at Terminal B.Snacks, drinks, magazines. They do have some neat stuff to add to your cell phone bling.(Ear plugs & covers). Something to do when you have time to kill between flights.

Yelp
I AM PISSED!!! Insanely expensive! I had to buy a USB cable. No other option..... $23.00!!!! Total bullcrap! And the staff acted like I was bothering them! For $23.00 for a USB cable, they should have offered to DRIVE me to my destination!!!

Yelp
Scene: I had just gotten off of my 15 hr flight from HKG to EWR and was forging on to the last leg of my trip to get back to DCA. Tired, cranky and had 2 hours to kill. Ugggh. Enter Hudson News. A bottle of Vitamin Water to help perk me up (coffee doesn't do it for me), and a copy of Martha Stewart Weddings (yes, more friends are engaged and usually ask for my creative opinion) and a copy of Food & Wine Magazine to read about wines and find new recipes. Oh yes. Now I'm feeling less cranky. As I sit at my gate reading my magazines and talking on the phone with someone to let them know I'm back in the country I tell them about my trip and that I bought a fantastic new tripod in Hong Kong...and then realize that I left this fantastic new tripod on the counter at Hudson News!!!!!!!! AHHHH. I nearly had a heart attack as I told them I'd call them back and ran back to the newsstand. It was still there. The clerk was kind enough to hold onto it for me and thanked me for coming back to get it. Seriously...thanking me? THANK YOU! I'd have died if someone else had picked it up.

Yelp
Very expensive, but lots of last minute gifts. They even have a bunch of New York souvenirs if you forgot to pick some up before heading to New Jersey.

Yelp
Terminal A, a simple and expensive as all normal airport stores are.

Yelp
$81.98 for 11 I Heart NY magnets for colleagues: Tax 6.62% (5.09/76.89): A-OK considering they were NY souvenirs in Newark, NJ.

Yelp
I was in town for a business meeting and decided to bring home a little souvenir for my daughter. I picked out a large size shirt and went to pay for it, but apparently, there wasn't a price tag on the shirt that I picked out, so the cashier went and grabbed the same shirt in a different size to ring it up. I went about my way back to California and when my daughter went to wear her new shirt, it was skin tight and I couldn't understand why.... well, that's because they replaced my large with an Extra Small. I have left numerous messages to make this right and no one is calling me back. As we know, the merchandise at airports are not cheap and not willing to take a loss for something that wasn't even my fault. I have since left another message. I'm really appalled at the unprofessionalism. Perhaps, they figure you only pass through the airport and they will never see you again. I'm extremely disappointed in the business ethics!

Yelp
Used Hudson News at LAX and it is a typical airport with the typical airport pricing. A pair of earbuds that I bought at Ross for 4.00 were 21.00 same brand. I only buy what I need to at the airport as they all price gouge and you are completely at their mercy. Another example is 60.00 for a 6000 mah phone charger these cost 10 on the outside!

Yelp
Over priced airport snacks, drinks and gifts. Only Coke products for purchase...really? It feels like Hudson News shop has become the choke hold snack counter at the movies with the $10 popcorn bag or $5 bottle of water.

Yelp
This review is for the Terminal C store. When I walked in I was greeted very pleasantly by the person at the counter. Sure she convinced me to take advantage of the buy 2 for $8 deal when I didn't intend to thus maximizing business gained, but her pleasant and sincere demeanor wins points for me. It is easy to write negative reviews when someone is rude or when service is below par, but when someone is genuinely nice and goes out of their way to be pleasant, it deserves to be mentioned and in my eyes merits a positive review.

Yelp
Got my water confiscated at the security checkpoint and came here for water. Pick up a bottle and got a price shock - $5 ! Turned out that I got a 1 liter bottle vs a 20 oz one. Well, I learned my lessons to pay attention next time.

Yelp
It's a typical convience kind of store just like at most airports. They have your usual junk food, snacks, and magazines.

Jean L.

Yelp
I just purchased a bag of chips and water from Hudson news in the Newark airport. The clerk, (name starts with Den...), was the least customer service-oriented person I have had in a long time. Worse than being rude, she was so busy texting that I had to ask, after standing at the register for quite a while, whether she was open. Then, she checked my items, not once looking at me or even trying to be friendly or kind. It was like I was a bother and impediment to her getting back to her phone. They say being ignored is worse than being disliked, and I would have to agree in this instance. If she is so unhappy working in the public, perhaps she should find a job elsewhere, where her actions wouldn't impact her employer's reputation so poorly.

Yelp
Typical airport one stop shop. Newspapers, magazines, snacks and some souvenirs. The selection could be a little better.

Yelp
I had the misfortune to be stuck at EWR terminal A for the night of March 20. I had left my phone charger at home, and thought I wouldn't be able to charge my phone until I arrived home in Seattle. Well to my plesent surprise there was a FREE phone charging station operated by Hudson News. It worked great that evening so I was able to make several calls. In the morning I thought I would be able to recharge my phone, but alas to no avail. The machine said to see the clerk to unlock the machine. When I asked the clerk she lied to me and said that all 4 of the charging stations were being used. She told me to go to the other one at the other end of the concourse. This I did as I needed to recharge my phone. This machine also told me to see the clerk. This clerk also told me that all were being used. I found this hard to believe as it was 5AM. I asked the first clerk if she could unlock the machine and she told me it didn't work. Both of the clerks were of middle eastern decent. If these people can not learn and speak the language then why are they working in a public place. I do not like being lied to, and the clerks should know how to work the michine if Hudson News is going to offer it.
