Cute to visit when you’re in Beacon. Nothing blew us out of the water but it was kinda fun to watch the counter girl make our amores with a blow torch. Good prices. Unfortunately, the Frozen Hot Chocolate just tasted like cold, watery chocolate milk. BUT their marshmallows are yummy! Wish they sold the plain ones in a bag (if they do we couldn’t find them.

My family and I stopped in Hudson Valley Marshmallow Company and we are so happy we did! The food, atmosphere, and employees were all amazing. We honestly felt like we were in a friend’s home and being served the best S’mores ever! I highly recommend stopping by here, getting a flight of s'more's, an iced cocoa, and get some marshmallows to go!

The hot chocolate is absolutely delicious and the flavored marshmallows are yummy. We love the iced hot chocolate and traditional hot chocolate. I love it when they take out the blowtorch and cook the s'mores. The staff there is so friendly and it is overall an experience that I have gone back for multiple times.

I've been a fan of this place for their amazing marshmallows, especially the French toast ones. However, my experience has been marred by inconsistent customer service. Some staff members have been unfriendly, which has made me hesitant to return. I've noticed that when new staff are present, the service seems more welcoming, but it can quickly change they seem to lose enthusiasm. Despite my love for the marshmallows, the customer service has been a significant letdown. I'd love to see some consistency in providing a warm and friendly experience for customers."

While visiting town, we stopped into Hudson Valley Marshmallow Co, because we’re suckers for some good marshmallows! They had so many unique flavors to choose from! We picked up a bag of the chocolate chocolate chip marshmallows and a pack of the chocolate chip graham crackers. We just made them as s’mores at home and loved them! I will 100% be back to pick up some marshmallows when I’m in town again because these were some of the best I’ve had! We also got an iced hot chocolate while we were there and it really hit the spot. Such a cute shop!!

We visited on July 6th. It was a very hot day and we walked in to get some refreshments to cool off. The person at the counter was not personable at all. He didn't even speak. We grabbed 4 waters and 2 flavored seltzer cans. He didn't even ring anything up and charged us $25! Very overpriced for water?? Not sure if these are normal prices or if the person at the counter ripped us off. Please remember to ask for a receipt if you purchase from this store.

Last week for my birthday, took a surprise trip to Beacon, NY. We went to the Hudson Valley Marshmallow Co. for a cup of hot chocolate. Entering the shop for the first time, brought a pleasant smell of marshmallows and chocolate. The shop offers handmade graham crackers, smore kits, and a variety of gift baskets. There are various flavors to choose from when selecting a hot chocolate. My pick: salted caramel. The drink was a delight! If you enjoy homemade sweets, then you should give The Hudson Valley Marshmallow Co a shot. They also provide a variety of covered and signature marshmallows.

i’m not a fan of marshmallows, but i tried the iced chocolate here. as a non coffee drinker i find it hard to find a good iced drink in most places. the iced chocolate is a more than suitable replacement & perfect for a hot day :)

Fresh FLUFFY marshmallow served up a variety of ways. The jars are full of fresh made mallow, getting a grab bag is fun. Best cocoa in town as well. I only wish it came in a giant size mug!

Was in Beacon visiting friends recently, and stopped by this lovely speciality shop right on Main Street. Looking for the perfect marshmallow for the hot chocolate board I was preparing, HVMC definitely came in clutch. They have a variety of graham crackers and drink mixes and, of course, marshmallows. They do have a selection of drinks to choose from in store as well. My friend opted for a hot chocolate and truthfully, she wasn't impressed. But she did help me narrow down my marshmallow choices and I ended up walking away with a salted caramel variety. Even if caramel isn't my favorite sweet, these marshmallows were excellent. Plush and tender, with a not to overwhelming caramel taste to them. My entire party devoured them over their cups of hot cocoa. Honestly, well worth the price imo. And considering the variety, I look forward to trying their other creations!

We recently visited while exploring Beacon. This is a specialty shop with different flavors of graham crackers and marshmallows available for purchase and home use. They also have seating and make different types of S'mores and beverages for in store eating. There were at least two inside tables that I remember. I had an iced chocolate beverage and two S'mores from a couple of S'mores flights that my family shared. The S'mores were well constructed and looked good. I had one with a French Toast vibe and one with chocolate graham crackers and strawberry and vanilla marshmallows. Both were good. The store was very nice. Service was OK. Nothing bad, but the one person out front lacked the enthusiasm and engagement that would take your experience in a specialty store like this to the next level. 4.25 Stars

Such a fun and unique place. Got the s'mores flight which allowed 3 flavors. Had the French toast, a custom one and chocolate chip. Definitely pricey considering the ingredients though.. cost $16 for the 3. Personally found it to be a one and done thing! But worth checking out once for sure

The s'mores flight is a fun AND tasty way to enjoy their marshmallows - highly recommended if you have a sweet tooth or a soft spot for nostalgic desserts. The shop has a few tables at the front with napkins and wet-naps so you can enjoy your s'mores (or hot cocoa, coffee, or other drink) without having to deal with sticky fingers after. Great little spot, and the marshmallows are wonderful--they certainly raise the mallow bar though and will ruin mass manufactured marshmallows for you (they'll never be as good as small batch artisanal marshmallows!), so keep that in mind.

Stumbled across this place while walking the Main Street, simple concept down amazing in many different ways I can say for here. It was nice to watch the show when you get a homemade s'mores, they blow torch your marshmallows and chocolate right in front of you and with made in house graham crackers no less. A gooey sweet mess, but hey never thought I have strawberry marshmallows in a smore. The iced chocolate cocoa was refreshing and definitely a trip down memory lane, like upper class chocolate milk elevated and I enjoyed it was more milky and iced rather then a chocolate iced slush.

Bottom line: if you're in the area, check it out! I was in the Beacon area and I stumbled upon Hudson Valley Marshmallow Co (HVMC). I'm glad I stopped by but I don't think I'll ever go out of my way to come here. Food (3/5): I felt like the marshmallow was tiny... and there was a lot of graham cracker. In fact, I took off one of the graham crackers so I could taste the marshmallow and chocolate better. For a place dedicated to s'mores, I was underwhelmed by my sandwich. I've made better at home. But it wasn't bad. Atmosphere (4/5) : cute shop! Cute shop! They sell chocolate, hot cocoa, and other cute kits. There is no restroom available-- not even for paying customers. The decor is welcoming. Service (3/5): the person assisting me was fine. But not really helpful as I was asking questions. I was curious about the cereal bar (apparently it's like a rice krispy treat). Getting answers was like pulling teeth-- and it's not like I'm a talkative customer. I actually prefer not to. The person was not rude but was evidently tired. So if you go here, maybe stop by earlier in the day. I standby what I say: it's a nice place to stop by but I would not go out of my way to come here.

The concept of this place is so cute but the execution is so poor. Takes almost 10-15 minutes to have a hot chocolate made with a torched marshmallow. Seems like the hot chocolate they make the drinks with are just the same powders as they sell retail. As any super cute gimmicky place prices are steep -- would only recommend if you really have the time to spare and need a sugar fix.

10 Yelp stars. My wife & I are window shopping through Beacon, such a nice town. She's been telling me for weeks, I'm not craving Pumpkin but S'mores. Do they have any with no sugar? I shake my head and say, no dear. There's tons of sugar so you'll just have to dream. Then we look inside Hudson Valley Marshmallow Company. My wife looks inside and I whisper to her, Superman would have cracked. Hudson Valley Marshmallow Company has many different S'more combinations, from the graham crackers to the different marshmallows, Hudson Valley Marshmallow Company is down to Marshmallow clown. I ordered a Pumpkin Spiced Hot Chocolate and we each order a S'More. The counter-person lays out each graham cracker. Then he gets the chocolate and marshmallow and strategically places each piece on the cracker. Once everything is in place? Fire comes to the S'More party. The marshmallow gets all toasty, the chocolate is slightly melted and the graham gets a little toasted. When the fire is finished, my wife had the honors of squishing it all together. The first bite? Heaven. Everything you remember during childhood comes rushing back after the first bite. I had Jet-Puffed marshmallow out of a bag as a kid, what was offered was a high end marshmallow. You can't more bougie, that was one high end flavored Marshmallow! Once it was all assembled, heated and squished down, this was truly a treat for your senses. If you're in Beacon, I highly recommend hitting up Hudson Valley Marshmallow Company.

An okay experience and I do not regret going in because if you don't try it, how would you know? I don't mind splurging on a decadent treat and supporting a small business. With that said, I have to write my honest review below. A great selection of marshmallows and toppings for the ideal s'mores experience. The crackers were also very soft and well made. I'm not sure if I'll be back again in the near future. The portions could have been just a tad bit larger. I took some time to think on this one - and really - for a place that specializes in this, it could have been fluffier and ground breaking. The strawberry marshmallow also tasted slightly artificial. I opted for a chocolate graham cracker, milk chocolate and strawberry. The menu is expansive and well organized. I felt that the marshmallow was torched to give that roasted look but really didn't melt correctly and the chocolate didn't really melt either that well so when it was time to eat, it just wasn't there. The cracker was also very cold. Some improvement here and paying closer attention to detail and making the experience a better one. I believe placing on the cold stone looks okay if you want to take a picture but still misses the Instagram moment if that's what you are looking for (I just wanted s'mores to enjoy after walking around). The woman at the counter wasn't very friendly at all. I have to say she wasn't personable when we went in to visit. We all have different personalities but this just didn't feel very warm. We also ordered a La Croix ($2.75-$3?) a little too high in price if you ask me. It would be really nice if they had an area with some filtered water and others could bring their own reusable cups instead of providing if that was too much. It's nice that the shop provides wet napkins for afterwards if it's messy. It just seemed that I had some of the drizzled chocolate and it wasn't a real authentic s'mores experience.

This is such a sweet shop! Literally and figuratively. You can make your own s'more by picking the type of graham cracker and marshmallow you want and they roast it right in front of you! The hot chocolate is also very tasty and you can choose also which marshmallows you want to put it in.

Super unique and cool spot ! So the whole place focuses on making smores. They make in house different flavors of Marshmellows . You can buy a bag or they can make you a smore. Now the snore is not cheap...coming in at $5 but I must say...it was the most delicious smore I've ever had. I got the French toast so the Marshmellow had cinnamon and brown sugar and other yummy goodness. They use a torch to melt the marshmallows. Super fun and I would totally get it again! Fun spot to bring family or visitors too!

My cousin and I came here on a chilly Sunday afternoon so we needed some hot chocolate! And what better to pair with than tasty marshmallows! The place was super cute and very well organized. We both ordered the original hot chocolate but with different flavored mallows. I decided to do traditional and got hazelnut, and my cousin got the strawberry. Hit the spot! Would definitely recommend if you need a hot chocolate fix.

It's 95 degrees outside but we're in a shop that sells marshmallows so that we can get a s'more. Yep, they make them to order here and you can pick the graham cracker flavor and the marshmallow and the chocolate. I might have been off my keto diet but not this far off so I let my friend have one and I just watched. The cracker is blow torched to order and made all gooey and melty. We also picked up an assortment of ten flavored marshmallows. Yep, they have peanut butter and chocolate and raspberry and French toast flavored marshmallows. Crazy and delicious. I can't help but be impressed when a small business carves out a unique concept for itself, and HVMC does that with its sweets. There are so many interesting twists on the toasted marshmallow - from the many flavors to the different s'mores combinations, this place is a sweet tooth paradise (trap?)! The pumpkin spice and salted caramel flavors were both fantastic - the marshmallows really carry the flavors without becoming overpowering, and the texture is spot on even in the prepackaged to-go containers. So delicious, and so many things to try! If you're looking for a unique dessert option, this is your spot in Beacon!

Unique, cute dessert spot- Tasty, but small portions and pricey. 1 basic s'more was $4 which I think is rather pricey when I could get a scoop of ice cream for $4 and it would likely last more than 3 bites. The store is nice and very much caters to anyone looking to make s'mores, they make the s'mores right in front of you and have a few other tasty treats.

Stumbled in here while walking around town, while in the area and thought my son would get a kick out of it. He didn't care but my husband who ended up eating his smore loved it lol. I also enjoyed my delicious hot chocolate and marshmallows we decided to buy and have at home. This was just a cool interesting place to have and added to my already love of Beacon.

This place is overpriced but it's cute so I'll give it a pass. Plus, if you're in Beacon you know what you're getting here price-wise. It's one of those places where you walk in just because, "Why not?" If you get one s'more, it's certainly pricey but worth it if you want the experience but you'll save money in the long run if you get each ingredient individually. I don't think the online times and their store hours are the same. They don't seem to be open at night at all despite it saying they're open until 7 PM.

I love this place! They make you s'mores on the spot and they have seasonal flavors! Use the marshmallows as an added treat in your morning coffee or Latte! LEVEL UP! No one said that marshmallows are only for hot cocoa, s'mores and sweet potatoes.... Go get all the flavors when you go! They are worth it and they will change your mind if you don't like marshmallows.

Such good hot cocoa!!! It was really warm and chocolatey! It was a little pricy but it really was so good!! Will be back!

A store that sells NOTHING BUT MARSHMALLOWS AND HOT COCOA? Sign me up! I know it's the middle of May, but sue me, I'll have both of those things all year round. Especially when they're homemade and in unique flavors like strawberry and passionfruit! Hudson Valley Marshmallow Company is a small but venerable shop located in the hip enclave of Beacon, NY. Where else could you find something like this? It is definitely unique and serves a niche market, but stop rolling your eyes and give one of the soft, pillowy, and flavorful 'mallows a try. You won't be disappointed! When we visited, the shopkeeper was very friendly and let us sample some marshmallows and penny candy. My favorite was the strawberry, which had a subtle but delicious fruity note. I could see this being awesome floating atop white hot chocolate.. I'm already drooling! The bags of marshmallows are also very reasonably priced, and that's great, because you'll want to get a few of the flavors. We love coming here, and it's always on the top of our list of must-visits in Beacon. I'm looking forward to making s'mores with these marshmallows at all of our summer cookouts!

We came in expecting a delicious variety of snacks this past Sunday. We asked the person serving us what her favorite flavor was. She looked at us and said, "None." She clearly did not appreciate working there. I actually randomly captured her in the photo provided while I was trying to take a photo of the location. We were taken aback by the rudeness - Typically, even if a store representative does not have a favorite, she makes it up. This was expected behavior from NYC folks, not Hudson Valley! Nevertheless, we ordered four marshmallows, vanilla, strawberry, peanut butter, and another flavor that was not memorable. I ordered three coconut covered marshmallow bunnies on sticks for my friends, which I wish I could return now. They were all old and hard. Everything was super stale. The four marshmallows in the bag were most definitely stale and old. The store representative stated these would last 6 more months? I think not. They were already old! They were not soft and they were not satisfying. I have attached photos of the purchased items and the store front (with the rep) - I wish I could say good things about this experience, but sadly, I cannot. It was truly disappointing.

every want to see someone blowtorch a marshmallow? go here! the smores r sooooooooooo good! i never had smores in a cafe before. always made myself. they did such a good job and its so gooey! u need lots of wet naps lol. when they make it for u its a work of art :). friendly staff and nice and clean seating areas.

After a nice hike we decided to stop here for some hot cocoa, and we're amazed by the amazing varieties of marshmallows and hot chocolate that they have! We were able to choose different marshmallow flavors (pumpkin spice, vanilla bean, french toast, chocolate chip, and more) with our hot cocoa. There were also numerous flavors of hot cocoa as well! My sister got the "El Guapo," which was hot chocolate with some cinnamon, while I got the white chocolate chai. Both tasted delicious, and the added marshmallows were great as well. Definitely recommend if you're craving something hot but a different from what you've had before.

The frozen hot chocolate was sooooo good! You must try it!!! Customer service was great!! Will definitely come back and try some marshmallows next time!!

Hudson Valley Marshmallow Company is a gem within the charming shopping district on Main Street in Beacon, New York. The marshmallows were excellent (I particularly enjoyed the French Toast marshmallows), but what really made HVMC memorable was employee/star, Alec. We were greeted with such warmth, genuine kindness & enthusiasm, I assumed he was the owner. He took such time & care explaining the flavors of the marshmallows, the variety of homemade graham crackers, & the process of making s'mores à la carte & to order. To the owners of HVMC, I hope you recognize the quality of representation you have in Alec. Please give this man a raise & many thanks for elevating your already excellent products to outstanding. Thanks again!

Just spent the afternoon exploring Main Street in Beacon. Fun shop, friendly staff and ask for a marshmallow sample. Chocolate Chip Marshmallows were the favorite among the group! Other options include Strawberry, Pumpkin Spice, French Toast and Salted Caramel. The package of their homemade chocolate chip cookies didn't make it home, had to sample them in the car- and oh well, next time we'll buy several packages.

Braved a snowy walk down Main Street in hopes of great hot cocoa and some solid s'mores. What my girlfriend and I got instead? Two hot cups of water (seriously, didn't taste far off from that) with marshmallows floating in it. We finished this off with two tiny s'mores, all for over $15. The marshmallows were okay, the graham crackers were meh. Trust me, chances are you already make better hot cocoa and s'mores yourself. If you see snow falling and feel that hot cocoa craving coming on strong, do yourself a favor and stay at home. The stuff in packets tastes much better at a quarter of the price.

Yet another simple - yet- satisfying and affordable treat option exists in Beacon! I was so pleased with Glazed Over Donuts upon my first visit to Beacon, and I was literally eating more sugar at H.V.M.C. less than an hour later. I gravitated towards sweets on that particular day, clearly... The options are simple: pick a type of graham cracker, a type of chocolate, and a flavor of marshmallow. Get it flamed right before your eyes, and indulge within minutes. I opted for the cinnamon graham crackers with milk chocolate and their Orchard Apple marshmallow. Everything about this was perfect. It's a small bite, but frankly, I don't want or need a humongous sticky s'more. It was enough to satiate a craving for all things chocolaty / graham crackery - marshmallowy. In particular, the flavor of the apple marshmallow was amazing and vibrant! H.V.M.C. also sells their marshmallows by the bag, as well as other candies (Banana Runts? YES, PLEASE!) at their front counter, so if you need to indulge your sweet tooth, this is your place to go! I love the concept and the price - again, I'm a jaded NYCer that has become numb to paying needlessly high food prices, haha - and I would swing back to H.V.M.C. again, in a heartbeat!

Popped in for a custom made smore. Wasn't expecting much but it was so delicious. The cinnamon marshmallow was what did it! We picked a cinnamon smore, chocolate chip cookies and milk chocolate. They had other options to pick from. I wish I lived near here to get more.

I just happened upon this place with a friend and it was one of my top life choices. I have never in my life had the opportunity for an impromptu smore outside of a campfire setting! They have several flavors of marshmallow and multiple graham crackers. You can even choose between milk and dark chocolate! The pumpkin spice marshmallow truly tastes like pumpkin spice and was so light and fluffy.

I've been to this new, unique shop twice now. The staff is very nice, courteous and helpful. You can purchase a pre-packaged bag of single- flavored house-made marshmallows, or you can create your own custom mix ($5.00 for 10, or $3.00 for 4 of them). The flavors that I noticed were chocolate, vanilla, caramel, strawberry, cookies and cream, french toast and two others that I cannot now recall. I think the prices are a tad "up there", but the quality can't be beat, IMO. They also sell little bags of their house-made graham crackers (on the small side as far as grahams go), or you can have a custom-created s'more made for you on-site to enjoy as you happily trot down the sidewalk! I also noticed their pre-packaged flavored hot chocolate and thai tea powered mixes and "moon rocks" for sale on the shelf. The shop has a nice feel to it, ambiance-wise. The s'mores really are FABULOUS in flavor and presentation, even though they're on the small side. They're very rich, so more than one would be too much for me, personally. They're $3.00 each.

At 4 bucks a pop I'm not sure this business model was fully thought through? Cute and decently tasty though.

S'mores all year round? YES! Location has moved to 510 Main st. I personally only like marshmallows toasted, so I was very excited to see the blow torch perfectly toast my smore!

Yummy in every way, especially if you like custom made s'mores! This sweet shop has a bunch of marshmallow flavors and candy so you can make you own favorite dessert right on sight. Worth the visit.

I was on a road trip with some friends two weeks ago and purchased A bag of pumpkin spice marshmallow. I just open the bag this morning and had a piece, and oh my Lord the amount of flavor in these marshmallows floored me. I immediately went on the website and was saddened to see that they no longer carry this flavor of marshmallow. I guess I will have to wait until next year but it will be worth the wait.

Here's the deal: Love the idea of unique marshmallows and graham crackers. The problem lies in the details and execution: #1: They don't sell ANY chocolate. Are you kidding me? You sell s'mores stuff and the counter person said "go buy chocolate across the street." #2: The graham crackers are sickly sweet, and taste more like shortbread #3: Marshmallows.... they melt strangely and have an incredibly grainy texture. All in all, love the idea. Prices are super fair. Just needs some tweaking. My advice, stick with the store bought stuff.

Obsessed with this place!!!!! I haven't been here in over a year and just ordered online with them for my winter hot cocoa fixings. Their flavors and quality are truly outstanding and the chocolate chip graham crackers are a must!! I used to love going into the shop to pick out flavors and create my own bundles. The associates are always super nice as well. This place is a local gem if you're visiting or just looking to order marshmallows!

My husband and I stopped in Beacon on our drive to visit family in Ohio. We love marshmallows and were delighted to encounter this charming store. These marshmallows are over the moon delicious. I love ginger and the gingerbread marshmallows are truly special. I make a Taza chocolate hot chocolate and top with a Gingerbread marshmallow. Divine. Beth K. Needham MA.
