Elegant & friendly, the ideal for a relaxing and cool evening. Food really good and service most professional.

Went to the restaurant here for diner. A lot of fuzz, acting like it's a' upscale place, but in fact the food isn't all that good... The dishes on the menu don't even match what they actually serve. I ordered tagliatelle with shrimps in garlic oil, but got something in a creamy, cheesy sauce...

What a little gem! Upon our arrival we were met by the friendliest receptionist we’ve ever met! |Located in the center of Zafre with an underground parking (€8 / day) little small and hard to park but we’ve managed just fine. |We booked into a suite (403 Red ) on the 4th floor and let me tell you...... it was gorgeous! Bathroom itself was bigger than some rooms we’ve stayed at.... king size very comfortable room, mini bar included, amazing amazing view of the city. It was our last night during our road trip and that room and that hotel made our last night really special..... really Spanish feeling! |There was a bar in the center of hotel with view of the castle, fantastic place to have a drink. |I’ve only one negative experience with the breakfast..... very very poor choices, no one spoke any English and we couldn’t even get a hot water to make some tea but I would stay there again if I’m ever in Zafre !

My room was much more spartan than the lead picture, but it was very nice nonetheless. Service was helpful and the menu of the day dinner was very very good for the price. Nice and quiet as well. It is also close to other shops and restaurants and just a little ways from the Camino VDLP path. Many of the rooms overlook a courtyard which is nice since the windows open and you can get some fresh air without the street noise.

I just spent one night at Hotel Huerta Honda, arrived quite late in the evening and didn't get a chance to try the breakfast.||However, the room was clean tastefully furnished and came at a good price.||Some kind of illumination on the bathroom light switch would be good, because when I got up at night, I had some trouble finding it. When travelling by car, the parking situation is also not too great.||What struck me as very positive was the friendliness and good English skills of the ladies working at the front desk. If all the employees are like this, guests will definitely feel welcome at this hotel!

Hugely disappointing. We were offered a 'superior rustic room'. It was damp (as were the sheets) and it had no natural light. It smelled musty. We were therefore changed to a modern superior room. It only had a queen size double bed, the TV was minute and positioned in a cupboard where it was impossible to watch when in bed. And all this for 95 Euros. Complete rip off. And there was no wifi for the first day. We have had bigger and better rooms for half the price. We stayed at the hotel Ares last time we passed through and it was better.

The grand hotel entrance and reception area set the standard for the hotel, as did the website descriptions which overflowed with superlatives. The room however fell well short of expectations. On level 3, the room was small and boxy. The curtain was torn, black mould behind the basin, one towel hook hanging off the wall and the paintwork generally scuffed. The shower is a death trap. The base of the shower is formed from high gloss tiles at nearly 2° fall. It’s about all you can do to stay standing without sliding to one side. |On the night of our stay, there was a wedding going on and the noise from screaming children up and down the corridor kept us awake. |Like many hotels in Spain, it falls down on attention to detail. The building clearly once was very grand but needs significant updating and maintenance if it is to continue to attract future clients.

The hitel is very beautiful and standard rooms are modern and spacious. Rooms on the pictures are probably suites only. Personell doesn't speak any English, hence asking for help or directions is rather difficult. I give it 3 stars because of bad breakfast. Having only half of the tables occupied they didn't manage to have enough of clean glasses and cups, enough of food and even didn't bother to clean the tables after guests left. The choice of products was not large but suffucient.
